My name is Mark Bacon. I write about anything that catches my interest, most commonly politics. I count myself a progressive, but not a radical. Many who know me might say otherwise but my politics reflect old America, FDR’s America, before the Assault of the One Percent. As the nation has been pulled to the right, I seem more and more radical.

This is definitely an opinion page. I often try to be funny so, if you see something hyperbolic, it was probably a joke (or, at least, an attempt at a joke). I try to be accurate in the details I provide but I’m not trying for journalism. These are opinions…

I welcome your input, left or right, but this is a moderated blog. I do that because I discovered that unscrupulous people will use my page to advertise their products or services. That’s not why any of us are here. So, I police the posts but not against legitimate content. If you want to disagree, I’ll post it and try to respond. After you’ve been approved once, subsequent posts go up automatically. It’s a pain for us all.
