Israel is outraged – OUTRAGED, I tell you – that Iran targeted a hospital in Tel Aviv for attack. What kind of animals, they wonder, would target and attack a hospital? Don’t they have any humanity? A hospital? Oh, I get it. *A* hospital. THAT seems to be Israel’s dilemma. Iran only attacked one. Israel knows that one must attack ALL of the hospitals in a given place – say, GAZA – or it’s some kind of humanitarian crisis. Nobody should attack just one.

You do NOT do to Israel what Israel does to others. (See? They really DON’T believe in Jesus.) Doing to Israel what Israel does to others must constitute some kind of war crime, right? One rule for one side, another rule for the other side.

I know, Israel justifies their attacks on every hospital in Gaza by claiming their enemy, Hamas, is hiding inside the facilities. We just have to take their word for it. But, but… aren’t Iran’s enemies, Israelis, “hiding” inside Israel’s hospitals? I’d call that a distinction without a difference.

Look, I’m not defending Iran’s actions. I deplore this conflict and I hope it stops. But if it does keep going, I’m not going to take one position for one side and another position for the other side. If it’s okay for Israel to target hospitals (and it’s not), it’s okay for Iran to target hospitals (and it’s not).

Either way, it’s looking less and less like Felon 47 is going to get a Nobel Peace Prize any time soon. One doesn’t get Nobel Peace Prizes by moving the world ever closer to World War III. On the other hand, I’m feeling better about US involvement in the war because Friday morning reporting said 47 would decided “in two weeks.” “Two weeks” is Donny-talk for ‘not gonna happen’ in most cases. He uses “two weeks” to put everything off.

Dear MAGA,

Have you noticed yet? All you ever get from him is excuses. The only thing he EVER delivers is excuses. Oh, he’s getting things done – just none of the things he promised you. The guy has a never-ending litany of things he’s promising to do to make your life better. It’s just that he has an even LONGER list of excuses why they don’t happen. I mean, we know he CAN. He can do ANYTHING, remember? Ask him. He’ll tell you. HE is the “only one.” But for some reason? All you ever really get is excuses. Some of the excuses even mix and match so he can use one excuse today and a different excuse tomorrow – but he’s STILL only delivering excuses.

He’s got a LOT of them, excuses. If he promised something on the campaign trail, he has since moved the goal post. In some cases, he has moved the goal posts more than once. He promises everything will be great – “in two weeks.” It’s ALWAYS two weeks, with this guy. Sure, you’re suffering more today than you were six months ago but that’s just the pain before the glory, right? Hey, he didn’t mention any ‘pain before the glory’ while he was promising things, did he? He SAID he was going to fix everything “on Day One.”

Don’t be like that, MAGA. *I* didn’t promise everything would be hunky-dory on day one. HE did. Even the one promise it looked like he was trying to keep – ridding our society of dangerous criminals – has fallen flat. He’s not rounding up violent criminals and, worse, HE is releasing dangerous criminals into our society, depending upon their ability to pay.

He said he was going to find and eliminate wasteful spending. As of April 30, he had spent $200 million dollars MORE than any other president over the same time period, nearly ALL of it on wasteful bullshit. Golf. A parade. Golf. Zipping around a racetrack. More golf. Fixing up a second-hand brib— er, airplane. Still MORE golf.

I know that faith springs eternal and this guy is going to keep promising good and great things. But I’m thinking he’s never going to actually deliver anything but excuses…

So, this is curious. The LA Dodgers baseball team says they denied ICE entry to their parking lot during a recent game. But the agency says they didn’t have any agents at the game on that day. ICE says they weren’t there. It’s possible both statements are true. Well, kind of true.

The Dodgers may well have rebuffed an effort by people pretending to be ICE agents. Maybe the imposters were hoping to destroy the lives of a few brown people. On the other hand, maybe the imposters thought they had found a free way into the game. “You’ve got to let us in so we can find murderers and rapists,” then wander around the stadium “looking for bad guys” until, coincidentally, the end of the game. I’m just noodling, here.

That nutball conservative killer who took out the Minnesota legislators pretended to be a cop to gain access to them. Another guy told a woman he was undercover ICE and took her to an ally – where he tried to rape her. It’s becoming common for non-cops to cosplay AS cops – and they’re succeeding because the actual cops are hiding behind masks, too. To me, that possibility is an excellent reason to unmask ALL of the official, actual agents. Those guys should be required to show a warrant, wear a badge, and identify themselves, as well. Law enforcement officers and agents doing good law enforcement work shouldn’t need to hide their identity, anyway…
