Have you heard? Trump was going to solve the trade deficit with his tariffs. Tariffs are his zippy quick answer to solve the problem and get the trade deficit back to even. So, punishing tariffs were imposed on the American people, increasing our annual cost of living completely unnecessarily. But, if our pain today can reduce the deficit, maybe it’s worth it right?

So, how’s the zippy quick fix that causes so much pain to so many American (and MAGA) households going after one year? Well, the deficit is described as “essentially unchanged.” Unchanged? Doesn’t that mean they haven’t worked at all? You bet’cha. That’s exactly what it means. I’ll tell you this: It’s quality thinking like that that has this country in the condition it is.

And now? Oh! Em! Gee! Our Supremely Corrupt Kangaroo Court ruled in keeping with the Constitution! Normally, that’s not the kind of sentence one needs to write down. It shouldn’t be noteworthy. But these MAGA loyalists (but traitors to America) regularly rule according to what Felon 47 wants, regardless of the words in the Constitution. Not this time, though.

THIS time, they struck down the Fearful Misleader’s tariffs just because that’s what the Constitution says! AND, they struck down the Fearful Misleader’s tariffs despite the warnings and words he was hissing from the White House. Weird. There’s no telling what got into the heads of the “justices.” Three of them are honest brokers so they’re no surprise but three of Dumbass Don’s stooges voted against the tariffs, too. So guess which toadies supported the policy and not the Constitution? Yep, the usual suspects, Thomas, Alito, and Kavanaugh. Still, suddenly, the tariffs are off.

My washing machine has been on it’s last legs for quite a while. It finally got to the point where I didn’t see much choice. I had to replace the thing. I was trying to wait. The tariffs really hit washing machines. Still the old unit just wasn’t getting it done anymore. So, on Thursday night, I ordered a new washing machine. Then, on Friday, the SCOTUS struck down the tariffs. How’s THAT for timing? It just struck me as funny. I know prices weren’t likely to come down overnight. In fact, I don’t expect lower prices at all.

You shouldn’t expect lower prices, either. The Dipshit-in-Chief handed corporations an excuse to raise prices and raise prices they did. They’re not giving that back. Prices might – might – go up slower, having lost the corporate excuse of the tariffs but the main damage is done and trump did it. Now he has to pay that money back.

MAGA still thinks foreign countries paid the tariffs, but Americans know that said money came directly out of their household “pockets.” Joe Consumer paid the price and it’s been pretty dear. But for their next trick, Joe Consumer won’t be getting the refund from the illegal tariffs. The corporations will. I’ll tell you this: It’s quality thinking like that that has this country in the condition it is.

But, hey, don’t expect him to back down just because he’s wrong and lost in court. I mean, when has THAT ever stopped him? No, he says he’s going to keep the tariffs. He’ll just cite a different “authority.” THEN, just to make sure everyone got the point, he has threatened to impose a new, 10% world-wide duty (or should that be “dootie”) on everything.

Now would be an excellent time to go back and look at the second paragraph of this section. The part that points out that the tariffs haven’t changed the trade deficit one little bit. So, the trade deficit remains “essentially unchanged,” manufacturing isn’t coming back, and now, the way high court has ruled that the tariffs are illegal. Ineffective AND illegal? Of course he’s doubling down. I’ll tell you this: It’s quality thinking like that that has this country in the condition it is…

Kristi Noem fires her pilot because she had to switch planes and nobody moved what is apparently a precious blanket – not even her, I’ve noticed. But when nobody moved her special “blankey,” not even her, she got mad and fired the pilot. Why the pilot? Is the pilot of the plane expected to keep track of her personal possessions? Okay, so she fires the pilot. BUT… she’s in the middle of her trip.

She was planning on going out, then coming back. She went out and the blankey incident happened and she fired her pilot – before she came back. Then she couldn’t find another pilot qualified to get her home so she reinstated the guy she just fired. I’ll tell you this: It’s quality thinking like that that has this country in the condition it is…

He just included that aside. Remember, the trumpster always gives the game away, usually by insisting that what’s true is the opposite of what’s true.

For example, he continues to pretend the Trump/Epstein files exonerate him. They don’t, but he keeps saying it, the exact opposite of the truth, see? So, if he’s now saying, “Men, I don’t have any interest…”

Suddenly, our fearful misleader is promising to release all of the files, once and for all. Oh, finally, the Trump/Epstein files will be relea– Wait, what? Files on aliens? Like, extra-terrestrials? Didn’t he just slam Obama for talking about the UFO files? Now he’s just going to release them? I’ll tell you this: It’s quality thinking like that that has this country in the condition it is…

So… some protestor calls some ICEhole a big bag of poo-poo or some such (probably worse) and the ICEhole takes out his gun and shoots the protestor. The ICEhole reports that the victim was attacking them and they feared for their lives. MAGA media trumpets the shooting as an example of tough-on-crime policies and MAGA rank and file start defending the shooting in social media, bringing shame on themselves and their family names.

Then, because everybody in the world is walking around with cameras these days, and because said cameras are out and on whenever the ICEholes show their ugly… um… masks, the claims by the ICEholes fall apart. Evidence keeps proving them liars. It has happened over and over and over again. Most of the ICEholes are on a rampage of revenge against a society they failed in. They’re tiny little men suddenly wielding enormous power and they have NO self-control, convinced they don’t need self-control.

Here’s the part MAGA really doesn’t get. They don’t mind ICEhole brutality against brown people, documented or otherwise, because they think such brutality will STAY against brown people. They don’t understand that bullies are bullies. ICEholes have murdered at least two white American citizens and one brown American citizen. Why wouldn’t they shoot others? They’ve got that handy “feared for my safety” excuse and they can just point and shoot. They won’t have any compunction about pointing and shooting white MAGA either, if they think they have a reason.
