Team Evil is invoking Jimmy Carter’s name in their battle against mail-in ballots. There’s a word for what they’re doing: lying. According to Carter’s family, he supported mail-in ballots and voted by mail himself, so of course Team Evil will say the exact opposite. It’s what they do.

Trump appears nearly desperate to get his vote-shaving SAVE Act passed. He needs to get rid of mail-in ballots because he’ll lose if people use them. It doesn’t matter if you don’t believe that. HE believes that. He KNOWS it. He CAN rig voting machines. He can NOT rig mail-in ballots as easily.

MAGA Mike, the Johnson tried to get 47 to pay attention to something other than himself for a moment and, according to Johnson, the result was not good. Johnson tried to get 47 to support a housing bill purportedly intended to help average American afford housing. According to Johnson, Old Man Drumpfster shouted at Johnson, “Nobody gives a ‘bleep’ about housing.” The ‘bleep’ was Johnson, self-censoring the actual word used. Frankly, I think Donny is wrong. I think everybody cares about housing. In fact, I would suggest that people care MORE about housing than they do about eliminating mail-in ballots.

But Donny doesn’t know or care what people think, need, or want. He cares what HE wants – and what HE wants is to stay President and keep his cash cow delivering forever. I’ve come to realize something. As a dedicated malignant narcissist, trump doesn’t care about anything or anyone other than himself. That’s ever, about anything. So when he says, “Nobody cares…” he means HE doesn’t care. And when he says “Everybody’s saying?” Those are the voices in his head. That is, HE is saying.

So, as an example, when he said, “Nobody gives a ‘bleep’ about housing,” he meant HE doesn’t give a bleep about housing, see? Your housing problems, see, the ones caused by him and his rich friends? Yeah, those are YOUR problems. HIS problem is rigging the election to ensure victory for himself so he gets to stay in the White House and he gets to avoid prison. Your problems are your problems. His problems are “important.”

Remember, he said, “It will guarantee the mid-terms.” He added, “You will win the mid-terms and you will win every election for a long time.” So tell me, how is that NOT confessing that he’s rigging the vote? How can he guarantee wins for the GOP in a fair and honest election? Hey, if the GOP thinks the game should be to rig the outcome to ensure victory for one party, shouldn’t the DEMS try to do that, too? I still prefer fair and honest elections, but, apparently, I’m in the minority in the US today. I’m still on the right side of history, though…

“For reasons of ‘decency,'” he said, “I have chosen NOT to wipe out the oil infrastructure…” More disingenuous trump-speak. What he means is, his handlers told him not to hurt the oil infrastructure. Oil, they think, has value. Compare that to, say, bombing a school and killing a couple of hundred children. I HAVE noticed that he hasn’t expressed any remorse over that. Apparently, they had no value to him.

He didn’t display any reasons of decency when he was killing those kids. He didn’t display any reasons of decency when he was raping those other kids. He didn’t display any reasons of decency when he was raping E Jean Carroll or any of the other women. He didn’t display any reasons of decency when he was committing his business fraud. He didn’t display any reasons of decency when he was mocking a disabled reporter.

I’ll tell you this: I’m pretty much of the opinion that Donald J. Trump doesn’t ever get to talk to me about “decency.” Ever…

I saw a headline in the Guardian that read, “Seven in ten Americans say Trump tariffs caused higher prices.” The other three know it, too, but they’re loyalist MAGA and they believe that if they never say it, it can’t be true. It turns out, though, it’s true anyway…

So far, he has crashed the economy exactly how he said Kamala would have done and he seems to be starting WW III, exactly how he said Kamala would have done. He’s unleashing dreaded illnesses to wreak havoc once again and he’s doing ALL of it while defending his “right” to rape our children. Some of us think all of that is wrong. MAGA just loves their Precious…

Netflix has a new movie out called ‘Nuremberg.’ It’s VERY good and I highly recommend it. I’m about to write about it, including the end. I figure, you all know what happened to Hermann Göring after WWII, or you should. You DID take high school history and they cover the war and it’s aftermath. But consider this a spoiler alert. If you plan to watch the movie, you don’t know about Göring after the war, and/or you don’t want to “spoil the surprise,” stop here.

The movie focuses on the Nuremberg Trials that took place after WW II in an effort to hold the remaining officials of the Nazi party to account, the highest-ranking remaining of which was Hermann Göring. Transcripts of that trial exist to this day and the movie makers used the actual dialogue from the trial in the movie. Fascinating stuff. As I listened to Göring talk, I was struck by how much it sounded exactly like the trumpster.

I mean, DURING the movie, I was thinking, “Oh, MAGA isn’t going to like this. They’re going to think the movie was made to take a dig at Donny.” Hell, I thought so. But I went back and verified the dialogue was taken directly from the transcripts, like MAGA won’t do. Nuremberg has nothing to do with Donny and yet, it sounds exactly like Donny. Freakishly so, I would say.

Now, truthfully, I suspect Göring was FAR smarter than Donny, though that’s not saying much. But the two men are clearly and absolutely damaged in exactly the same way with very similar outcomes as “human beings” (sic). Göring, too, believed he was omniscient and omnipotent, just like Trump. Göring believed he was just a better person than others, except Hitler, of course.

There’s an interesting footnote in the movie, at the end. A couple of characters are talking, one of them a born German, who told the other one that the Nazis were able to rise in Germany for one reason: the German people let them. They didn’t try to stand up until it was too late. Simple as that.

The Germans rallied around Hitler because he promised to save the day. He promised to make Germans proud to be German again. He promised to solve their problems. He ordered the VW bug and built the Autobahn as evidence of his intentions. He even knew who was causing the problems in the first place: Jews – and then anybody who disagreed with him. It wasn’t until later that everyone discovered he didn’t really have any plans to benefit Germany. He intended to benefit himself. Does ANY of that sound familiar?

Look around you. We’re living though the resurrection of the Nazi party here in the US. Different name, of course. Different uniforms. Different “leaders.” But the same hateful, destructive rhetoric. Trump has the plan. Trump will save the day. Trump even knows who is causing the problems in the first place: brown people. Trump will Make German, er, America Great Again. And the worst part is, the American people are just letting it happen.

The German people had an excuse we don’t get. They had never seen anything like the Nazis before. Americans don’t have that excuse. We HAVE seen this before. Hell, we’ve made movies about it. It leaves me wondering how we’re going to explain to the world what we did – or didn’t do – after the smoke clears and the dust settles…
