Two Tales of Trumpery…

There’s an actual, English word; ‘Trumpery.’ It means – and you can look this up – “Nonsense, rubbish, deception, trickery, fraud.” These two bits are about about MAGA trumpery. It seems when Donny’s grandpa had to change his name because he had brought such shame and disgrace through cowardice to the original family name, Drumpf, he chose well. These people are the personifications of deceit…

Early on in Donny’s political career, I read a story in the news about a guy who supplied pianos for Donny’s eventually bankrupt casino. Five pianos were ordered. A price was agreed to. Five pianos were delivered. Then? Donny told the piano supplier he wasn’t going to pay the agreed upon price. He would pay them significantly less, or they could go to court. The guy who supplied the pianos was a small business owner and faced a significant loss if he took what was being offered – but he took it.

Apparently, he took it because he simply didn’t have the resources to fight a rich guy in court for what Donny had promised would be years and years of litigation. FINALLY, something Donny said that turned out to be true. Donny is a MASTER of legal delay. No, I don’t like the guy, either, but we have to hand it to him, NOBODY can slime up the legal process better than Donald J. Trump. And he’s doing it again.

His New York criminal trial over the hush money he paid Stormy Daniels to keep quiet about their sex rendezvous while he was married to a very pregnant Melania was supposed to start Monday, March 25 – tomorrow. Instead, the Dumbass Team will seek, no, don’t get ahead of me, here, they’ll seek delay (ah, you guessed it) while they thumb through some “discovery.”

This is a master class in legal manipulation and I’ve learned a lot! One DOES have to have lawyers willing to be cast as completely incompetent morons in order to take it to the level he takes it to. I WANT to say one must be rich, too, but there’s no promise Donny will ever actually PAY anybody over all of this. I mean, sure, he’s supposed to but he has a long, long trail of non-payment and when one is dealing with a trump, it’s ALWAYS a risk. (Maybe, “probability?”) So, one doesn’t actually have to be rich, but your lawyers have to believe you’re rich and that they’ll get their money or they wouldn’t file such frivolous motions.

Over and over I see stories about someone opining that Alina Habba is a big dummy because she did this silly thing or filed that completely erroneous claim no rational human would believe. Over and over, those “dumb” filings have bought Donny time, the most precious commodity in the world to him, right now. The expression ‘Crazy like a fox’ springs to mind.

In the latest I know of, he’s going to request a delay to review a bunch of papers he claims he “just received” from the prosecution. He claims the prosecution “dragged it’s feet” in delivering the goods. For their part, the prosecution points out that the request was only made in January and that the documents requested were not in the possession of the DA Bragg. (They had to do with the investigation of Michael Cohen, Donny’s long time “fixer,” who delivered the actual money to Daniels.)

It doesn’t matter, and Donny doesn’t care that there’s no “there,” there. The papers weren’t the point, the delay was. So his team will ask for at least 90 days to review the documents and, failing that, maybe just drop the whole thing, since the prosecution was slow to deliver.

They won’t get the dismissal, since the prosecution was NOT slow to deliver. Even a MAGA judge would see that requesting documents in January might take a bit of time to collect – especially since DA Bragg didn’t have them – but the “review” part seems very likely. The only bit that might help justice is if the judge holds them to the idea that they KNEW these files existed in the first place and shouldn’t have taken so long to make the request. But everybody, everybody, EVERYBODY is treating this scumbag like he’s something special and they baby him and fawn over him and give him delay after delay after delay.

Look, I’m no lawyer but I DO know that it’s a common tactic of defense attorneys to try and delay trials. I just had NO idea how many different tricks and techniques exist to do that, especially if you’re rich – or pretend to be.

I’ll tell you this: Donny is right when he says there’s a two-tiered justice system. He just leaves out the part where he’s the beneficiary, not the victim of such a system…

Did you see the video of the Dems handing the GOP “impeachment inquiry” their asses? I mean, there’s no other way to describe it. The Dems came out on the offensive (for once) and just took to Comer and his sidekicks.

I think we all know the game, by now. The Dems impeached Donny. So, the GOP thinks THEY have to impeach Biden. It’s only fair. The fact that there were specific crimes attributable to Donny – crimes that became known to law enforcement, nobody had to “go looking” – and none pointed at Biden is only a minor point. Give them some time. They’ll find something.

What they hoped they had found, though, turned out to be smoke and mirrors. No, that’s wrong. It turned out to be Russian misinformation, transmitted by a Russian agent. (It sometimes seems the entire GOP is closely aligned with Russians – against America. Lovely.) The GOP Russian agent is now under arrest and, needless to say, the GOP “case” against Biden has… well, there’s no other way to put it, the case is closed.

Oh, but that didn’t stop the GOP, did it? They don’t need no stinkin’ charges to hold hearings. It seems good enough just to smear Biden. Sure, it’s a bit fraudulent, but that’s the GOP way. Oh, by the way, these “hearings” cost the American taxpayer dearly. I think it’s totally worth it when one needs to figure out if a President worked with the Russians to get elected or when the President organizes an insurrection to try to overturn an election. Less so – FAR less so, when it’s a fishing expedition in search of… something.

So I was very happy to see the Dems come out swinging. AOC came out and challenged GOP storyteller Tony Bobulinski to name the specific crime Biden should be charged with. She said, “Is it your testimony today that you personally witnessed President Joe Biden commit a crime?” Bobulinski began his song and dance. AOC interrupted, “Did you witness the President commit a crime?” So, feeling trapped, Bobulinski pitched out a “yes.”

AOC did the follow-up cons dare not do. “And what crime have you witnessed?” Bobulinski is certainly a team player. He tried not to answer while maintaining the fiction. “How much time do I have to go through it?” But AOC was ready. “It is simple. You name the crime.” Bobulinski started naming areas of crimes, not crimes themselves. AOC repeated, “What IS the crime?” He didn’t have an answer, so AOC reminded the GOP that they’re supposed to have a charge to open an inquiry, not open the inquiry to find a charge.

My favorite part, though, was when Rep. Jared Moskowitz had his turn. First, he asked Bobulinski if he thought Comer had proven Biden committed crimes. Bobulinski said he did. So Moskowitz followed up, “So I assume you believe Joe Biden should be impeached?” Bobulinski said he did. Moskowitz pointed out that the inquiry has been going on for 15 months. The GOP has steadfastly contended they have the evidence (they’re just not showing it), they know the crime (but, no, they won’t tell you), and they’re GOING to get Biden (you know, eventually. Really!)

So, Moskowitz called their bluff. “Why continue to waste millions of dollars of taxpayers money if we’re going to impeach because you believe you’ve shown he’s committed a high crime and misdemeanor? What are you waiting on? Let’s just do it.” Moskowitz taunted the GOP leadership for a bit longer. Jim Jordan thought he came up with a clever response, “We don’t do snap impeachments like you guys.” So, Moskowitz just brought it, “You’re never going to call for it.” After a bit of back and forth, he said, “If you believe you can’t call for the impeachment now, what you’re admitting is that you haven’t yet proven that he’s committed a high crime or misdemeanor.”

Moskowitz, dripping with sarcasm, said he was just there to help the GOP chairman out, so he would. He told Comer to call for the vote and he, (Moskowitz) would second. Comer refused, so Moskowitz volunteered to call for the vote and allow Comer to second. “No. Nothing. Okay, we got nothing.”

I’d say Moskowitz and AOC won the day. They have pretty clearly indicated the GOP has nothing, is wasting money, and is lying to it’s base, making claims that are simply, provably, at this point, not true. Liar, liar, and all that.

Sadly, I don’t believe for a moment that the GOP will stand down just because they have nothing. Their game is to smear Biden, not convict him of anything, and for a smear, one doesn’t need evidence. They only need innuendo, which is good because that’s all they’ve got.

A Photo-Shopped Picture (redux)…

Okay, then. More on the SAME two bits I wrote about just this last Thursday. That’s never happened to me before…

I’m sorry to hear that Princess Catherine has cancer. It’s still none of my business but now she can have the whole world hold good thoughts for her during her fight and, hopefully, eventual recovery…

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The second thing? Donny has a legal team out arguing to a judge that he just doesn’t have the money to pay his $454 million dollar (and climbing) bond. Donny, himself, is simultaneously out there claiming he has $500 million in cash and he plans to use “most of it” on his campaign. When it comes to trump, it’s possible those two sentences contain three lies. Maybe he has the money, maybe he doesn’t. That’s the first sentence. AND, from the second sentence, maybe he has THAT money and maybe he doesn’t, but since he has been directing more and more money to his legal defense, I doubt he has suddenly decided to focus on his campaign. Three lies in two sentences…
He used his popularity in “Ze Party” to install Lara Trump, his daughter-in-law, as the new head of the GOP and the first thing SHE did was re-vamp the revenue sharing arrangement of the GOP. If you give to the GOP, for any campaign, some of that money (say, $.99 cents of every dollar) is being funneled directly to Donny for his legal defense and expenditures. Some of it never even reaches the GOP. It goes straight into Donny’s PAC, which he’s using to pay lawyers.
I’m guessing that GOP candidates across the land and up and down the ticket are going to be greatly underfunded so Donny has enough to cover he legal debts. The truth is, it’s hard for me to get my head around that. This dude is fleecing his flock to the tune of millions of dollars every month. They seem to know it, yet they KEEP giving to him from their Social Security checks so HE doesn’t have to touch any of his personal wealth. They won’t give a dollar to a homeless person but they’ll hand their entire Social Security check over to a self-proclaimed “Billionaire.” ‘A fool and his money…’ Indeed…
Oh, I’ve ALSO learned that, no, in fact, the bond companies don’t want his buildings as collateral. They’re not set up to handle hard assets. Of course, I ALSO learned that that’s not the way it’s done, anyway. See, Donny goes to a bank (which he’s allowed to do now) and gets a Guaranteed Letter of Credit, secured by some or all of his buildings as collateral, and takes that to the bond agencies.
The bond guys get cash, the banks get the buildings, should that need arise. Banks, at least, have the capability of dealing with Real Estate in ways bond companies don’t. Neat and tidy. Also, he doesn’t have to get all the money from one bond agent. He can go to several. The thing is, each bond agency is going to want their own fee. Donny doesn’t want to pay ONE fee, let alone several.
So NOW all he has to do is find a bank willing to guarantee $500 million dollars to a person literally JUST found liable for defrauding banks and he’s good. I know, that sounds silly but I’d bet there are banks out there that will do that deal, assuming New York Real Estate is the collateral. The problem is, they don’t have time to get the buildings independently valued and they’re greedy, not stupid. The one thing every rational (and probably MAGA) American knows, by now, is that if Donny is talking, he’s lying. So you would need independent valuations.
One avenue we know Donny could take is to turn to Putin or one of his Saudi buddies. Under normal circumstances, I would have said that taking such a drastic step would harm his attempts to re-gain the White House. But we don’t live in normal circumstances, now, do we? We live in bizarro America, where ‘crazy’ bends the knee to ‘stupid’ and ‘stupid’ rules the day! Who, I wonder, would vote for an American leader completely – and rather desperately – beholden to a foreign power? MAGA, that’s who.
So, we’ll see but I’ll tell you this: For now, I’m sticking to my story. I think he’ll post that bond as close to the last minute as he can. But I think he’ll post the bond…
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Okay, let’s lighten this up a bit. I heard, recently, that the castaways on ‘Gilligan’s Island’ (see? Lighter!) each represented one of the Seven Deadly Sins. (MY, that darkened up quickly.)

I’m not buying. Granted, the case starts off strong. Mr. Howell clearly represents Avarice. That was easy. The Skipper is a big guy, suggesting he might be Gluttony. One could make a case that Ginger represented Pride. After that, though, it falls apart pretty quickly. The suggestion was that Gilligan represented Sloth, but Gilligan wasn’t lazy, he was stupid.

So who was Envy? Mary Ann? Envious of, I presume, Ginger? No. There’s the immortal (but only for Boomers, apparently) question, “Ginger or Mary Ann?” I’m a Mary Ann guy. Ginger had NOTHING on Mary Ann and Mary Ann was too down to earth to spend time being envious of Ginger.

Nobody was Wrath. Yes, the Skipper got frustrated from time to time but that was always after Gilligan had done something stupid. He wasn’t walking around angry all the time. Hell, the Skipper was a pretty chill guy. Besides, he’s already Gluttony.

That leaves Lust. Right. On this “family show?” We’ve just covered the Ginger/Mary Ann thing but they were the objects of lust, not Lust itself. In fact, the inhabitant of Gilligan’s Island all seemed pretty asexual, to me. I was just a boy when that show ran originally and even I wondered why we never saw either Ginger nor Mary Ann (or, what the hell, maybe both!) sneaking out of the Professor’s hut from time to time. They were on that island for years. Really? Never once?

So if you want to see the personification of the Seven Deadly Sins, don’t bother with ‘Gilligan’s Island.’ Watch Donald J. Trump. He’s ALL of them; Pride, Envy, Gluttony, Lust, Avarice, Wrath, AND Sloth. At this point, all we have to do is strand him on a tropical island, somewhere, and leave him there. Now THAT’S a show I’d watch…

A Photo-shopped Picture…

Wouldn’t it be great if the biggest problem we had in this country was a Photo-shopped picture of a happy family? As nearly as I can tell through the hub-bub, Princess Catherine and her three kids sat for a series of photos, then did what a lot of people do; she picked the best photo, replaced, say, the young Charlotte’s closed-eye photo with one in which her eyes are open and, after wondering what the hell Louis was looking at, replaced his head with one from a different photo, taken that day and in the same sitting, with the lad looking at the camera.

A touch here, a tweak there. The result? A nice, happy photograph of a mom and her three young children, all looking happy AND looking at the camera. Oh, the horrors. The young Prince George is 10. Princess Charlotte is 8. Prince Louie? 5. YOU try taking a photo, in one shot, of three young children, all smiling on cue AND looking where they’re supposed to look. I’m not saying it’s impossible. But, experience suggests, odds are against.

While the world debates whether or not “photo-gate” is a horrible scandal or the worst scandal ever, I see that Kate’s medical records may have been breached. Apparently, the Princess had “abdominal surgery” a few months ago, and has dropped out of public life for a time. Like most, I don’t know what’s going on with her or why she needed surgery. Like, apparently few, I don’t count it any of my business.

The palace has been tight-lipped about what’s going on with her health and the country has gone nuts. Some intrepid scumbag finally took matters to hand and had a peak at the “notes” of her treatment at the hospital. Soon, perhaps, we’ll all know exactly what ails the Princess, whether she likes it or not. If you think about it, there are a LOT of bits in a woman’s “abdominal area” that are quite private and the loss of which often leave women reeling for a time. I don’t know what her issue is but I KNOW she might want – or need – a little time to adjust to her new paradigm. I’ll tell you what, let’s just leave them alone and let them get through this in their own way, shall we?

MAN, I wish a Photo-shopped picture was the worst problem facing the world today…

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Speaking of problems, Donny is out there whining and moaning – as only he can – that he just doesn’t have the money to put up a $454 million dollar bond he has to post in New York. He claims he went to a number of surety companies, none of whom would help him. THAT part doesn’t surprise me. The guy lies all the time. I’d say compulsively. He’s just been convicted of business fraud. Now he wants some company to do business with him? You’d have to be dumb as a trump to do business with Donny at this point.
Donny also says they don’t want his buildings so he can’t use them as collateral. THAT does surprise me. Why wouldn’t they want to own buildings in New York city, at least long enough to sell them? Oh, wait, how do they value those buildings, take Donny’s word for it? There’s another possibility. Maybe they’re not Donny’s buildings, anymore. Or, at least, maybe they’re not solely Donny’s buildings anymore.
That’s pure speculation but the trumpery organization announced some time back they weren’t building anymore, just licensing the name and slapping it on buildings. Were interests in their buildings quietly sold in an effort to maintain the facade (and lifestyle) of the business “jenius” as he actually slides further and further into some financial abyss?
It doesn’t really surprise me that he might not have $454 million dollars (plus interest) just laying around ready to pay off judgements. Rich people are commonly “cash poor,” as compared to their overall wealth. Their money is tied up in investments. It takes time to convert those kinds of investments into hard cash. I just find it hard to believe a bond company wouldn’t help him out for the right collateral. He still has an interest in his social media site. I think it’s called ‘Lies for All’ or some such. I’m not certain of that, but since that’s what it is, that’s what they should call it.
Okay, that’s fun and all but if I remember correctly, he said pretty much the same thing about the E. Jean Carroll bond he had to post. “Oh, woe is me. Where EVER shall I get such a large amount of money? Oh, Mr. Court, would you please excuse my obligation? No? Oh, okay, here ya go. Can’t blame a guy for trying…”
“Some folks were born, silver spoon in hand,
Lord, don’t they help themselves?
But when the taxman come to the door,
Lord, the house look like a rummage sale.”
– Fortunate Son, Creedence Clearwater Revival
I’m not sure why that song just popped into my head, but there it is.
I’ll tell you this: I’m watching for Donny to post that bond, after all, just a few minutes before the deadline expires. I think he’s just trying to squeeze out whatever breaks he can in the deal and it already worked to a degree. A judge DID lift the part of the order blocking him from doing business with banks registered in New York.
MAN, I wish a Photo-shopped picture was the worst problem facing the world today…
Laken Riley…
I’ll say it. It shouldn’t have happened, the Laken Riley rape and murder. In this case, the accused killer is an undocumented, 26-year-old Venezuelan, a so-called “illegal.” He should not have been in this country. Reports suggest the Border Patrol actually caught him coming into the country and had to let him go because they didn’t have any remaining detention space.
This poor young woman seemed to have a brilliant future in front of her. She should not be dead. But I’m going to tell you, I don’t understand the conservative focus on this one case outside of the context of a cheap political stunt. Nearly 2,000 women a year are killed by men in America, presumably by Americans. In 2022, more than 133,000 women reported being raped, also by Americans. (One can only guess at the number of unreported rapes.) So, why do we count the horrific events in this one case worse than the events in those, thousands of cases? Because it was “preventable?” “It shouldn’t have happened?”
It should NEVER happen. I imagine a person can say the exact same thing about every one of those women – it shouldn’t have happened – and I KNOW there are usually “warning signs” someone sees before the killings happen. In that sense, they’re ALL preventable. In THIS guy’s case, there was nothing indicating a propensity to such violent behavior. He had sneaked across the border, a misdemeanor. He had been picked up for shoplifting, a misdemeanor. According to the cops, there is no indication that he has a history of violence. Who knew or should have known he would take a sudden leap to rape and murder?
Two things: The suspicion is that her attacker took on more than he expected with her. The accused is not a big guy and she fought back. Apparently, she fought well. The attack escalated. He finally resorted to a weapon of some kind. This was what they call a “crime of opportunity.” He wasn’t planning to kill anyone that day. The other thing is, it should be noted that he hasn’t had his day in court, yet. At this point, he’s only the alleged killer. The cops arrested four other people, later released. I’m not defending the guy, but what if he didn’t do it? What if DNA proves it?
Conservatives, though, recognize an opportunity when they see one. They’re all over this. MTG shoved a ‘Laken Riley’ button at Biden as he was coming into the House chamber at the State of the Union. It’s hard to blame them. The accused killer came into this country in 2022, during the Biden administration, and Riley was murdered in 2024, also Biden’s administration. All of this fits in to their ongoing drumbeat that Biden is weak on the border. Those three facts come together to mean one thing: spotlight on Laken Riley’s murder.
They wrote a bill in the House, ‘The Laken Riley Act.’ It required Federal detainment of undocumented people who commit theft or burglary. That was the part they intended to highlight. It ALSO allowed states to start suing the Federal government over immigration issues. That was the poison pill, the tool the GOP used to ensure votes against it. But just to be on the very safe side, they also peppered the bill with unnecessary political swipes at Joe Biden. In doing so, they turned the nightmare of this woman’s murder into a cheap, political stunt.
To me, it seems disrespectful to the family of young Miss Riley to use her murder as a prop for political trumpery. It ALSO seems disrespectful to the other, thousands of women raped and murdered every year in this country who DON’T get “Say Her Name” legislation centering on the crimes visited on them. Why not? Because their nightmare was brought to them by an American?
There’s another, larger angle to this whole sh*tshow, too. For the last 40+ years, a primary goal of the GOP has been to financially starve the US Federal government into “submission.” The specific quote was, “drown it in a bathtub.” THAT’S why the constant cry of “Tax cuts! Tax cuts! Tax cuts!” This “starving” tactic works. Government services have been cut. Things became less effective. THAT’S THE GOP GOAL, and it includes border protection.
From MY point of view, the GOP got what it wanted. Like so many other government agencies those conservative policies have financially starved, border patrol isn’t as effective as it should be, just as the GOP wanted. I know, that sounds like a possible conspiracy theory. But the bi-partisan, Republican-written border bill the cons have been screaming about, but just shot down because Donny wanted something to run on?
That would have included money for more detention space AND more judges to hear cases faster. That ‘more detention space’ bit was important. Remember, they let this guy go in the first place because they didn’t have any remaining detention space. It’s stuffed full of people waiting to have their cases heard, JUST the thing more judges would have facilitated. It included more money to hire more Border Patrol Agents. But Donny wanted something to run on.
The possibility of another Laken Riley type crime, though, wasn’t enough to convince MAGA to defy Donald Trump. He said, “Kill the bill!” They killed the bill. No, it wouldn’t have helped Laken Riley. But it was a solid, concrete action that might have helped the next, possible Laken, not a dog-and-pony show designed only to “fire up the base.”
I’ll tell you this: I have nothing but sympathy for Laken Riley’s family and I’m sorry as hell the poor woman has been turned into a political football by the GOP. But GOP “outrage” rings hollow, knowing they had a chance to address the problem going forward and settled, instead, on a craven political calculation…
The MAGA Bulge…
I don’t have any evidence of this. It’s more like a feeling, or a sense. But it feels, to me, like conservatism is making a big push right now, worldwide. It seems like they feel like NOW is their hour. The pieces are in place. They’ve corrupted Congress. They’ve corrupted the courts. They’ve undermined many institutions. They’ve caused Americans to doubt their own Constitution. Now all they’ve got to do is seal the deal.
I see the push most clearly here in the United States, obviously, but it’s all over Europe, too. Not coincidentally, where ever MAGA media reaches, there are conservatives trying to bring down democracies and representative republics – and they get just a bit more bold every day. The MAGA media message is clear. Anything and everything a conservative does is good and pure. Anything and everything anyone else does is evil, and a mistake. Cons hear it so much, they believe it. It’s pretty much the exact opposite of the truth, of course, but cons aren’t big on checking details. They accept their information on faith, and one cannot argue faith.
It just feels like the screaming is a bit louder. It feels like, they are a runner in a race and they can see the finish line, so they push just a bit harder, the classic “reaching down deep.” It feels like the entire MAGA world sees hope in Donny. They KNOW he can bring about the MAGA dream – fascist dictatorships for all. But there’s nothing subtle about Donald Trump and he has pulled their game out of the shadows and into the light. He likes to say the quite parts out loud. So they seem to be making their move. Right now? For them? It’s Donny or bust.
If rational people lose this fight, measured by Donny’s “glorious” return to the White House, we get fascism, like it or not. If we win, measured, at a minimum, as Donny NOT returning to the White House (and so, likely having to stand trial) we’ll be okay – for awhile. (Stupid doesn’t go away but it CAN be relegated to the corner for a time.)
With the ascension of Lara Trump to the leadership of the GOP, people started saying that MAGA had taken over the GOP, and it’s true. MAGA came from the extremist Libertarian movement but everybody knew Libertarians were unrealistic and downright ridiculous in many of their positions. When they infiltrated and then took control of the GOP, many members didn’t know what to make of it. They went along to get along.
But have you noticed how many of them are falling away? MAGA HAS taken over the GOP and rational, traditional conservatives have been fleeing the party in droves. MAGA is celebrating their “win,” but their base is getting smaller every day. MAGA had the numbers to foist Donny on us in the primaries but only because their primaries are closed and MAGA were the only voters. Do they have the numbers to carry the day in the general? I’m not so sure.
Look at what Ken Buck (R-Co) just did. Buck is sick and tired of the b.s. coming from MAGA. He sees that Congress has become just the dysfunctional failure MAGA wants it to be. But HE wanted to be part of a government that works and his frustration with MAGA finally led him to step down at the end of his term. This had the overall effect of reducing MAGA power in the House on it’s own. But then? He decided not to wait. He’s leaving early.
It seems the only reason he decided to leave early was to mess with MAGA moron Lauren Boebert. She was elected by Colorado’s third district but they’ve made clear; there’s no way she’s winning in the third again. So, she’s going to run in Colorado’s fourth district, instead. It’s a more conservative district. (One that, apparently, doesn’t care so much about handjobs in public at children’s plays.)
By stepping down early, Buck forced a special election, leaving Boebert in a tough spot. Does she run for the seat in the special election in the fourth? In order to do THAT, she would have to resign her seat in the third, further weakening MAGA power in the House. But if she doesn’t run in the special election, someone else gets to claim the mantle of incumbent. THEN Boebert has to run an already uphill battle against an incumbent. Even at that, she’s asking voters to vote for someone else in the special election and also vote for her in the general, against the person they just voted for, in the special. Either way, it sucks to be Boebert right now and that’s specifically because Buck walked away.
Nobody is surprised Democrats want to stop MAGA. But Buck is a Republican, doing what HE can to stop MAGA and, really, his is just the latest name in a line of Republicans who have taken a stand against MAGA. For the record, Buck says his decision had nothing to do with Boebert. But he ALSO said he’s leaving now so he can work toward improving “the caliber of the candidates running for office up and down the ballot.”
I think there are a LOT of Republicans out there who still love America, thank the gods. They’re FINALLY organizing to try and stop these crazies from breaking the nation for MAGA delusional reasons. They’re finally pushing back. It took awhile. They were trying to keep their jobs. But now they’ve realized, they’re losing their jobs, anyway, in short, leaving them nothing to lose by doing the right thing.
During the general election, will these rational Republicans vote for trump? I doubt it. I don’t think you’ll see them saying out loud they won’t vote for trump, but when they get into the voting booth? I wouldn’t expect them to vote Biden, of course, but it’s quite possible they simply skip that line. And SOME of them will, I presume, vote Biden to block.
There are cracks in the facade all over the place. I see them. You can see them. MAGA sure as heck sees them. So expect this to get louder. Expect the threats from Donny to get more extreme. Expect the voices of doom to get more shrill. Expect MAGA media lies to ramp up to all new levels of terrifying and angry. It’s their ‘Battle of the Bulge,’ the infamous desperate and final push of the Nazis near the end of WWII. It’s an all-in, last ditch effort to do or die.
I’ll tell you this: I hope that’s true. I hope that this, right now, is their final, desperate push. Because, in a sense, they’re correct. This likely IS their last, best hope for awhile. Most rational people are on to their game. We know what they want. We know what they’re about. We know what they’re willing to do to get there. But we also know what fascism is and what it looks like and NO rational people anywhere want fascism. Let us, every American, work together to make sure they don’t succeed, shall we?
Donny’s Bad Day…
Alexander Smirnof, the absolutely irrefutable, impeccable, perfect, and oh-so-honest FBI witness the cons built their entire trumped up impeachment of Biden around, lied. Yeah, we know that. Joe and Hunter did NOT take $5 million dollar payments from Burisma – or anybody else. (You’re thinking of Jared, who accepted $2 BILLION from the Saudis.) An obvious question? Why did Smirnof lie? Turns out, he was paid to tell the story he told. $600,000! By an American company, Economic Transformation Technologies (ETT), a shadowy, Texas-based company. ETT is owned by some business associates of – wait for it – Donald Trump. ETT investments, the arm that delivered the actual cash was dissolved shortly after the cash was delivered. What a remarkable coincidence.
All we really know is that Smirnof was paid by ETT in 2020, exactly when he started weaving his tale of bribery for the FBI using “information” from his Russian sources. Does that mean Donny is behind it? No. But it’s stronger evidence than anything the GOP had while trying to impeach Biden so I guess the impeachment wheels will be turning again, this time against Donny, right? Because the cons are so interested in doing the right thing? Right?
(Crickets.) Yeah. The world knows who you are, MAGA.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

A bad day for Donny. Aileen “Loose” Cannon rejected the Dumbass’ request to toss the stolen documents case. Surprised? Not really. Jack Smith had given her a brief that was quite clear. She really couldn’t do anything else without being reversed, again, by a higher court. If she keeps getting reversed, she runs the risk of involuntary recusal. Then she couldn’t help Donny at all, so she’s playing it a bit safe, here. She DID give Donny an entire day to try to make his case. But, as always, his case was stupid and even a desperately sycophantic Cannon couldn’t help him this time. Next time, maybe, but not now…

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Donny’s bad day got worse when the judge in the Willis/Wade “scandal” decided to let Fani continue as the prosecutor. By now, MAGA media has created hundreds of articles claiming that the court got it wrong and that Fani should have been removed from the case in Georgia. No, tossed in jail. No, shot at dawn. After all, Fani and Nathan had sex! What more evidence do you need that they hated Donald Trump? Or something.
I’m pretty sure the only person on the planet thinking about Donald Trump during sex is Donald Trump. But, that was the charge. Oh, to be sure, Ashleigh Merchant, the lawyer who brought the charge claimed it was about money, somehow. An already successful lawyer with a thriving practice got a side gig helping to prosecute trumpery just so Willis could funnel money to Wade so Wade could take Willis on better dates? Yeah, dumb enough. But then the trial focused mostly on who touched what and when. (Hubba-hubba. Ain’t they dirty?)
The judge overseeing the trial, Scott McAfee, said there WAS an appearance of impropriety. (If you stand on your head, close one eye, and look at it from exactly a 36.2 degree angle with the sun behind your left, no, right shoulder at exactly 3:17 in the afternoon, Central Standard Time, you can juuust make it out.) Of course, he also said there was no actual impropriety – as Merchant’s own team acknowledged – and the appearance problem could be remedied with a resignation, which Wade offered up, directly, and Willis accepted. So, Wade’s out, Willis is back, and Donny’s looking for yet another stall. (He’s got a million of ’em…)
I was worried about this case. I still am. Because the Supremely Kangaroo Court has made clear they’ve joined Donny’s legal defense team, this state case is the best chance America has of punishing a traitor for traitorous behavior. (You know, instead of putting him in the most powerful office in the world.) The GOP in Georgia has aligned against Willis (and against justice) and taken positions supporting Donny (and injustice) and they have a LOT of evil tricks up their sleeves.
At this point, I’m convinced that everybody on the planet – everybody, MAGA or rational – believes Donald J. Trump is guilty of the crimes with which he’s charged. They KNOW he can’t even get to trial because if he goes to trial, he loses. Period. Just like he has, so far, lost nearly EVERY other trial he’s been in since he decided to host a coup in the first place. (Full disclosure, he DID win one case where people watching vote counters got to stand a little closer. BFD.)
I wish Willis could start her trial first thing Monday morning. She can’t, of course. Merchant will appeal McAfee’s ruling, knowing he’s right but ALSO knowing she’s stalling successfully, the primary goal. Besides, Willis has to provide trump with time to prepare his case, which he COULD have been doing all along, just in case. But he didn’t, likely because he doesn’t have any real defense. So he’ll get a little extra time.
McAfee’s ruling was a win (so far) for the rule of law and for justice and for America. The GOP HATES those things, though, and just because there was this little, initial setback doesn’t mean they can’t subvert justice some other new and clever way. All you gotta do is hate America. And they do that in spades…
Charges, Claims, and Evidence…
I know. It can be difficult to keep track of which judge goes with which trial so I’ll try to keep it clear. Judge Scott McAfee, the judge in the Georgia trial, has dismissed 6 of the 41 charges Donny and his co-conspirators face, assuming the GOP can’t get the case tossed over some technicality, a pretended conflict of interest. (Hey, now that I think about it, that’s a good “band name” for that pretend patriotic “song” the cons – and in this case, that’s “convicts” – put out, ‘Donny and the Co-conspirators.’)
The 6 tossed charges include 3 of the 13 against Donny, himself. It’s important to note that McAfee did NOT dismiss the charges permanently. He said the prosecutor hadn’t provided enough detail as to the underlying felony for the defense to prepare. Basically, his order is drop it or revise it for clarity. But they CAN revise it for clarity.
I think sometimes, prosecutors throw in everything but the kitchen sink in case something gets thrown out and these charges might be that. So even if they don’t revise those charges, the allegedly criminal group still faces 35 charges and Donny, personally, still faces 10. And none of those charges raised any questions with the judge at all…
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

I saw a story out of conservative media the other day. It asserted that certain charges the cons have made are too true, so there! It asserted these things have been proven and STILL the liberal media won’t report on them. (In the MAGA mind, if three people shout it loudly enough, and it might help Donny, then it’s “proven.”) One of them was about how it has now been proven, beyond question, that the Dumbass Don did too offer up 10,000 troops to protect the Capitol on J6! The point to that charge, in their minds, is that PeLOsi (you have to spit that. It’s the law.) is at fault for J6, not Donny, because she didn’t protect the Capitol properly.

It’s just a short step to the next, obvious question but the MAGA mind just never seems able to get there. Specifically, what was Pelosi protecting the Capitol from on J6?
“Hey, nice Capitol building you got, here. It would be a shame if something were to happen to it. We can get you, say, 10,000 National Guard troops to help protect the Capitol on J6?”
“Why would I need 10,000 National Guard troops to help protect the Capitol on J6? What do you know?”
“Oh, nothing. Nothing. No reason at all, really. We just thought it might be nice.”
“What’s ‘nice’ about surrounding the Capitol with 10,000 troops?” she wondered. “Look, nobody has ever done anything to disrupt this procedural event in the history of this country. Why would they start now? I’m sure we’ll be fine.”
“We’re going to remember you said that.”

On January 6, 2021, the Capitol building would not have needed 10,000 additional troops, let alone even the Capitol police if only Donald J. Trump had not decided to send an (admittedly ragtag) army to try to cling to power.

Hey, Dumbass, that was an option, too. The preferred one, in fact. The course EVERY defeated candidate before you had taken: accept your defeat like a man (even Hillary has bigger balls than you), walk away with a modicum of your little dignity still intact, and maybe run again in the next round. But no. You chose ‘whiny tantrum insurrection.’ THAT was MAGA. THAT was trump. Pelosi was not the problem, here…

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The right puts out video of President Biden stumbling over words from time to time. They call it incontrovertible proof that Biden has dementia. So, the left puts out video of their own, Donny stumbling over words. Also proof of dementia? Don’t be ridiculous. That’s just super clever stupidity – or something.
Here’s the thing. Biden has a long-since acknowledged speech impediment. It makes sense he might stumble over words from time to time. He’s done it as long as he’s been alive. But Donny? Donny presents himself as perfect. Infallible, in fact. When HE stumbles over words, he WILL NOT confess an “error.” He claims it was intentional. (It is not.)
For a dude who’s perfectly infallible, Trump messes up a LOT. I mean, it doesn’t take that much time to put together a blooper reel of the guy stumbling over even basic words and there’s video evidence out there of him locking up entirely. Can you imagine if Biden were giving a speech that included a sentence like, “We’re a nation that just recently heard that Saudi Arabia and Russia will ree… pee… too… ahhh…” and then just…blank out for a moment? To their credit, even MAGA seemed startled by that one. To their discredit, they just tucked their concerns away and started attacking Biden again.
Still, it’s down to these two again. An old man who occasionally stumbles over words vs an old man who occasionally stumbles over words but also faces multiple felony charges, has been adjudicated a rapist, has been adjudicated a thief, stands credibly accused of abusing prescription drugs, and regularly brags about someone thinking he needs yet another cognitive test. I swear to the gods, I don’t understand how this is even a question…
Correction and Update…
Well, I have a correction to make. Yesterday, I wrote that the focus of Katie Britt’s sex trafficking story was kidnapped and forced into prostitution at the age of 16. That was wrong. The person was 12, just a child at the time. She escaped when she was 16. (Even after all these years of MAGA, I STILL can’t believe how badly people can suck.) MyBaconPress regrets the error…
After being called out for misrepresenting, Britt went on Fox Not-News to defend her statement. She pretended people thought she said the person was a woman at the time. That wasn’t the issue. She pretended to be disgusted people would try to shut down her tale of sex trafficking. Nobody was doing that. She did NOT address the fact that the victim who actually suffered the event, Karla Jacinto, wasn’t happy Britt told the story during the rebuttal. She said, “I hardly ever cooperate with politicians, because it seems to me that they only want an image. They only want a photo — and that to me is not fair.”
It’s important to note, Britt took office in 2023. She mentioned that Biden had taken 94 “executive actions” in his first hundred days and then mentioned a couple that affected the border, trying to leave the impression that all 94 actions were border-related. They were not. Twelve of them were border related. Ten of the twelve reversed actions taken by 45. So the rest was just a bit of conservative misrepresentation to inflame people’s minds. (Hey, it’s what they do.)
After misrepresenting Biden’s actions at the border, Britt said she took a different path “after she took office.” She went down to the border and met Jacinto, who told her the story. Then, with no segue, she said, “We wouldn’t be OK with this happening in a third-world country. This is the United States of America. And it’s past time we start acting like it. President Biden’s border crisis is a disgrace,” Britt said. “It’s despicable, and it’s almost entirely preventable.”
So…did Britt SAY, exactly, that the trafficking occurred under Biden’s watch and in America? No. She just implied it so heavily the idea couldn’t be missed, AND she buried those pesky details – which make such a difference – so deeply it took people a little while to dig them up.
I’ll tell you this: I have a rule about cons: Their tales of terror and woe are NEVER ‘the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth.’ There is ALWAYS some bit left out that should be included or some bit tossed in that should not. It’s how good lies are built and the cons are VERY skilled liars. They have to be. It’s all they’ve got…
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Also yesterday, I wrote about the case against Fani Willis and how the cons are trying to protect their Precious by eliminating the prosecutor for “impropriety.” (The actual focus was the GOP controlled legislature giving Ashleigh Merchant a bully pulpit to make whatever case she felt like making with little to no pushback.)

I don’t think they can show any impropriety. The actual charge is that Willis hiring Wade violated a Georgia nepotism law. ALL cons will tell you, Wade was not qualified for the job. Of course, they’ll also tell you that Trump won in 2020. As we’ve seen – and see constantly, cons lie. Wade is an established lawyer with a thriving law practice. He also sits as an associate municipal court judge and a state court judge. Does he have any experience prosecuting criminal ex-Presidents? No. Who does? This is all new territory because we’ve never had such a corrupt and outright criminal ex-President as we have in trump.

But after claiming some professional impropriety, the cons have focused, almost exclusively, on revealing salacious details of the lover’s affair. They have shown, over and over, that a dude took his girl on a couple of trips – and that he used money he earned by working to pay for it. Isn’t that how ALL dudes take their lovers on trips? Paying with money they work for? (Yeah, I’m setting aside criminals and criminal activity for the moment.) The idea, as nearly as I can tell, is to suggest that these two had sex – so they hate trump. That’s dumb. Most people hate trump whether they’re having sex or not.

There are other problems with Merchant’s filing. For example, it didn’t include any factual support for key claims. It was all innuendo. That’s weird enough, but here’s a quote from a Politico article called ‘A Reality Check on the Fani Willis Scandal:’
“The motion may also have violated an important ethical rule that requires lawyers to disclose controlling law that is at odds with any position that they are advocating in the case. In particular, Roman’s filing claims that Willis and Wade may have violated the honest-services and RICO statutes because they “personally benefited from an undisclosed conflict of interest,” but that theory of criminal liability was foreclosed by the Supreme Court nearly 15 years ago. The lawyers who wrote that language either did not know that it was wrong (ethically fine, perhaps, but embarrassing) or refused to level with the court about it (not fine at all and deeply ironic).”

There was an opportunity for a Georgia Democrat to question Merchant during the spectacle. He showed that the primary case she cited in her filing (Whitworth vs State) didn’t support her claim. She even admitted as much, after a bit of verbal sparring. He also made the case that impropriety refers to profiting in ways you normally wouldn’t by getting the win in a case or by getting some piece of the case to work better to get the prosecution, like getting a bonus for flipping a witness or some such. Wade is being paid whether the State wins or loses. That’s not impropriety. Prosecutors get paid to prosecute.

I actually think the weakest point in Willis’ defense is Wade, himself. In court, it came out that Wade was trying to hide some income from his soon-to-be-ex-wife. During the Georgia Senate dog-and pony, Merchant said she thought one of the reasons the legal firm Wade had with lead witness Terrance Bradley came to an end because Wade insisted on using his own trust accounts rather than the official trust accounts of the firm. So Wade appears to be maybe a little shady with money, personally. None of that indicates that he has done anything improper during the case, though.

I’ll tell you this: I hope the case proceeds. I really hate the idea of justice being derailed because two human beings exercised their infatuation with each other for a short time…

Sometimes, I get a little pushback when I decry Daylight Saving Time. Oh, hey, you disagree? Okay. That’s easy. In view of current issues, this one is very low-level. The position pro-DST people take, though, is that they get “more daytime.” No you don’t. There are 24 hours in a day. Period. The reason you get “more sunshine” is because the Earth/Sun relationship changed to Summer mode. We get more sun.

What YOU get is the opportunity to go to bed while the sun is still up and being forced to use a little more power in the morning when most of us have to get up and go to work. Less of an issue, I guess, if you’re retired or don’t have a job.

A law passed in the Senate is trying to set the clocks to Daylight Saving permanently. It has not progressed in the House. As it happens, we’ve tried that. It was (hyperbole alert) carnage on the roadways and death to schoolkids. The program was implemented on a two year test basis but cancelled after less than one year because of the increase in deaths. That’s true.

I would be okay with leaving the clocks alone but I could only support Standard Time as the permanent choice. Fear not, my DST lovers. You’d still get the same 24 hours in each and every day. It’s the way science works…

Is Lying REALLY Their Only Trick?

Uh-oh. Republicans have been caught lying, yet again. (It just never ends.) This time, the culprit is Katie Britt, the GOP “rising star” who gave the GOP “rebuttal” to Biden’s State of the Union speech. The GOP has angered most women by attacking women’s right to bodily autonomy, so they cynically put a woman forward to give the rebuttal – but STILL wouldn’t let her out of the kitchen, where women “belong,” right? She has already received much criticism. It started during her little chat – and from her own team. Worse, for her, these were words coming out of her mouth. Words have meanings. They can be checked. They were checked.

Apparently, MAGA never checks anything. I’ve read many conservative tales in which links have been placed to look as though they link to supporting articles or other evidence. But if you DO click through, it’s almost ridiculously obnoxious how many of those links only go to the definition of a word or some similar non-support. It’s deceptive. It LOOKS like support but it isn’t. It’s a kind of a lie.

Anyway, Britt told the story of meeting a woman on the Mexican border who had been kidnapped and held by drug cartels and then forced into prostitution when she was 16. The woman was held for several years and repeatedly raped. She was finally rescued, no thanks to Joe Biden. This is Biden’s border, Britt lied.

A journalist and author named Jonathon Katz knew the case. He checked it out. It was all true. It HAD happened to this poor woman. Um, between 2004 and 2008. It wasn’t “Biden’s Border.” It was Bush 43’s border. Yeah, a Republican. Of course. AND, by the way, it’s never going to be Biden’s Border now. Not in the minds of the majority, the rational Americans. The GOP slapped down their own border bill that promised to changed things just so they could keep the border around as a campaign issue. Actions speak louder than words. NOW the border is in disarray because the GOP won’t LET the Dems fix it. We all know it. The whole world watched that play out.

Cons, man. They’re just always the opposite of what they claim to be. They lie as easily as breathing, all while setting themselves up as the arbiters of morality. They present themselves as the party of fiscal responsibility, all while crashing the economy over and over and adding more to the national debt than the Dems ever do. (The current record holder is Trump. Barack has a higher number but much of that was created by 43, who simply left it off the books.)

Stronger on national defense? THAT depends on how you feel about love letters between the wanna-be dictator, Donny, and the actual dictator, Kim Jong Un, or the passing of nuclear secrets from Donny to the Russians, as the whispers suggest. Yeah, 43 was quick to react when “security failures” allowed the fall of the World Trade Center – but he started not one, but TWO wrong wars in his haste. I guess that leaves the party of law and order?

Oh my gods, don’t make me laugh. Are you paying ANY attention at all? Have you seen how much trouble the GOP is going to in their efforts to keep their precious from facing any law and order, whatsoever? At no time, in NO way, have they made even the slightest attempt to show the Trump is not a criminal. Instead, they’re working as hard as they can to stop the trials from even happening. Here again, actions speak louder than words. The GOP is tipping their hand. They KNOW Donny is guilty. They KNOW it. Here’s how I know.

Let’s say you wanted to prosecute, say, me for, oh, I don’t know, how about the assassination of John Kennedy? I don’t need anyone to derail that trial for me. Have at it. You can’t possibly have any proof that I killed Kennedy, because I didn’t. For MY part, I’m going to show up in court and present my exculpatory evidence: I was two years old at the time. I hadn’t yet developed any proficiency with weapons. If you can show that a two year old got himself from the LA basin to the Dallas book depository (or even the grassy knoll, an easier crawl), squeezed off a few very well placed rounds, then got himself home again – ostensibly all during nap time – I guess I deserve to go to jail, right?

I watched some of this dog-and-pony show the GOP sponsored in Georgia. They formed a very special committee to “get to the bottom” of this Fani Willis thing and subpoenaed Ashleigh Merchant, the attorney trying to get Fani removed to come on over and have a chat. They called it a “hearing” but it was really just an opportunity for Merchant to smear Willis in public for awhile with little pushback. I think the GOP thinks they’re losing this effort to have her removed for impropriety so they decided to try to boost their position. So much for law and order, right?

I’ll tell you this: The thing that remains true no matter how badly the GOP wishes it were not true? A position that depends on lies for support, doesn’t deserve to be supported. And every position the GOP supports, requires lies in order to present even the appearance of support. Like Peter, of ‘Peter and the Wolf’ infamy, it’s best just to ignore the lying GOP going forward…

Joe Is Better Than Donny…

Donny was giving a speech at a rally in Greensboro, NC. Here’s a quote. Well, as nearly as I can spell it, here’s a quote, “We’re a nation that just recently heard that Saudi Arabia and Russia will ree… pee… too… ahhh.” Then he just…blanked out for a moment. No, it wasn’t a Moscow Mitch blank. Nobody needed to bump his head to get him started again. (Although they MAY have some wireless electrodes hooked up to some sensitive part of his body so they can zap him, should the need arise – as it did.)

Look, I get it. He’s under a LOT of pressure right now, right? He’s facing 91 Felony charges and doesn’t want to go to jail. He’s trying to manage his lawyers so he can stay out of jail. He’s trying to regain the White House so he can stay out of jail. He’s got to activate his ideologue, sycho-fanatic “judges” so he can stay out of jail. I mean, that’s a LOT of trying to stay out of jail.

In addition, there have long been whispers – and now reports from the White House pharmacy – that Trump takes a LOT of pills. They’re all prescription so he can honestly tell his fawning admirers he doesn’t use “illegal” drugs, but when you have access to the pharmaceutical stuff, who would? Word is, he likes Adderall. Adderall is a brand name medication that treats ADHD. It’s speed, all dressed up official and pretty. MyBaconPress can neither confirm nor disprove the rumors. We don’t have access to the records and he’s a lying son-of-a-bitch.

It remains true: Every conservative accusation is a confession. They’ve been attacking Joe Biden over his gaffes since the race began – back in 2019. (Or 2018, or 17, or even 16. It’s like these things never end…) Of COURSE “Biden seems impaired” is their battle cry. THEIR guy is clearly impaired! They HOPE, that by pointing and screaming and shouting and spittling at Biden, people won’t notice that Donny seems FAR worse. Oh, we’ve noticed.

“Biden is impaired” is dogma, now, in conservative circles so I imagine that any cons who tuned in to the State of the Union address were expecting a train-wreck of a speech. They didn’t get THAT, though, did they? Old Sleepy Joe did really quite well. At least some of the scheme of the cons was to try to rattle the old guy. They tried. He didn’t rattle.

In fact, he took on several of their pet peeves, directly. My favorite part, though, was when he scolded the Kangaroos right to their stupid, ideological faces. Except for Clarence Thomas, of course. He wasn’t there. I heard he was out collecting some bribes but, again, I can’t confirm that. It was probably just cowardice.

So, according to MY scorecard in the ‘Battle of the Brain-Farts,’ Biden is winning with the fewest number of serious gaffes. But the media, left AND right, simply will not stop with the “Biden is old” bit. Yeah, he’s old. So is Donny. Biden moves like an old man. So does Donny. I don’t like when Joe tries to run out on stage but I like Donny’s dual handjob dance even less. The primary difference? Biden is doing a very good job running the country. Donny crashed the economy worse than any President in history and killed more Americans than any other President in history, leaving a trail of damage and wreckage in his wake.

No, cons don’t know that. THEY think (or pretend) they live in a Hellscape of destitution and ruin. All they have to do is look outside and… well, no. All they have to do is look at the numbers and they get… um, no. All they have to do is check their day to day lives and then they have…dammit! Okay, all they have to do is tune in to their favorite, lying, talking head and they get all the confirmation they crave.

So, what? You’re not going to vote for Joe because he’s old? Then you can’t vote for Donny either. He’s old, too. Joe just doesn’t inspire you? Donny does? Joe might have a “senior moment?” Donny is having them right out in public, for all the world to see. The only thing Donny does better than Biden is crime.

But listen, nobody voted FOR Biden, before. We ALL voted against Trump. Do that. Vote against Trump. Yes, Biden is doing a very good job and has earned your vote but if you just can’t, at least vote Biden to block. It’s the American thing to do…

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Don’t forget to turn your clocks tonight. Forward. Spring forward. The whole point, it seems, is to sow chaos and confusion into people’s lives. The primary thing the time changes accomplish is disrupting people’s rhythms. It causes heart attacks and car accidents and, for a while, sloppy thinking. It doesn’t benefit anybody in any way. By all means, let’s just keep doing this oh-so-stupid thing…
