Bizzaro America On Opposite Day…

I wouldn’t call it an axiom so much as a rule of thumb, but it’s a very solid rule of thumb and it goes like this: If Trump says a thing, the opposite is true. It’s not always correct. All of those times he said he wanted to sleep with Ivanka? Those were true. I mean, obviously. But Washington, DC is a crime-riddled hellhole? No, the opposite is true. The crime rate in Washington, DC has been down steadily for two years. And, no, the numbers that support that statement aren’t wrong just because he had a gut feeling.

When he told Billy Bush he likes to just grope women without asking? Yeah, that one was true. But is the US “hot again?” No, the opposite is true. The entire world is readjusting it’s trade around the US, not through it. We’ll be cut out completely, here, in a year or two. The sudden instability of the US is just freaking everybody else out.

He was pretty honest when he was describing his scheme to see teen women undressed at his beauty pageants by “inspecting” the facilities while the girls were changing clothes. But Mexico never paid one dime for that wall and his better health care plan is still – perpetually – two weeks away.

When he called Jeffrey Epstein “a great guy” and “a lot of fun to be with?” He meant those. Those were true. But has he ended ten wars? He hasn’t even ended one. Some conflicts and potential conflicts have ended while he infests the White House but that doesn’t mean HE ended them, and, so far, the principals of those events have claimed he had nothing to do with it.

Hey, there’s a pattern, there, isn’t there? He tells the truth about his sex crimes. He effing lies about pretty much everything thing else. Is he deporting murderers and rapers? Not for the most part. They’re mostly hard-working, contributing members of society, if not citizens. Did he cut drug prices by 1,500%? Don’t be ridiculous.

The list is almost inexhaustible. The point is, if Donny says something NOT related to his sex crimes, he’s almost certainly speaking the exact opposite of the facts at hand…

Have you noticed how the Republicans keep trying to come up with cutsie little nicknames for their concentration camps? “Alligator Alcatraz?” Meet “Cornhusker Clink,” in Nebraska. How about the “Speedway Slammer” in Floriduh? I suppose the cutsie nicknames are intended to gloss over the nightmares those people are living inside of them. Hey, if you’re going to be incomprehensibly cruel, you might as well have fun with it…

I hear MAGA is calming down now that Ghislaine has said that she never saw the Groping Grifter in “any inappropriate setting.” Ghislaine seduced, trained, and turned out children in a sex-trafficking ring. I’ll need FAR more details about what she considers “inappropriate.”

I suppose MAGA will be satisfied. Of course, they WANT to be satisfied. Those of us interested in facts are NOT satisfied. Todd Blanche asking leading questions she gave the correct answer to is not the most convincing “interview” to the rational mind. Hell, we all watched the “quid” part – her lovely new living situation – paid for her “pro quo” of saying anything that would help out her old friend. Well, the first part of he “quid” anyway. Once this blows over, thanks, in part, to her helpful but dishonest “testimony,” she’ll get her pardon, or at the very least, a commutation.

I still need to see the files. No, sending them to James Comer isn’t going to prove anything either. Comer is a known commodity and he’s not known for quality. I’m pretty sure the term “brown nose” was created specially for him, years before he was even born, in anticipation that such a vile person would soon infest the planet. He’s certainly the living embodiment of it…

Let the race to the bottom, well not “begin,” exactly. How about “get worse even faster?” Texas passed their new redistricting map. I believe it was the very next day that I received a flyer in the mail urging me to vote against Newsom’s plan to fight back. In California, Republicans seem to think it would be best just to live with the status quo. Mid-term redistricting, it seems, is only “fair” when Republicans are doing it? Uh-huh.

But California will pass theirs, too. Other states may well follow. I don’t know because I don’t sit around calculating these things, but I hear the Dems can’t keep up if it turns into a full-on, every state redistricting war. I don’t LIKE this plan. I just don’t see any other good option.

Congressional districts should be mandated in the Constitution to be as close to square-shaped as possible. No, of course, they won’t all be perfect squares. But it’s hard to pretend a salamander looks like a square, right? “As close as possible” is the key phrase. Let’s remember that when we’re putting together the next Constitution. You know, after the revolution…

I’m telling you right now, our Fearful Misleader has so destabilized the US economy, people are already fleeing. When he succeeds at manipulating the Fed – and he WILL succeed, eventually – the dollar will crash and become useless. Nobody on the planet will trust the US dollar and they’ll be right not to. Wheelbarrows full of money to buy a loaf of bread anybody?

I know that MAGA owns everything that happens these days, whether they acknowledge that or not. I know I can blame MAGA for all of it. But that’s proving to be small comfort as our fate plays out at the hands of the world’s tiniest man…

47, apparently, wants to paint 1,300 miles of his stupid border wall black. Hey, it’ll only cost $2.7 billion dollars, so why not? Oh, you want to know why? Yeah, to make it hot. See, if it’s hot, people can’t climb it, right? Well, unless they have gloves. Or a ladder. Or, unless it’s… what’s that called? It’s rare, apparently. Apparently, some people have never even heard of it. Oh, yeah, night time! It could be night time and the sun won’t be shining on the wall at all…

Remember that time Putin made Donny look like a total and complete blithering idiot fool? No, not that one. No, not then, either. I mean the last one, in Alaska, where Donny thought he was making progress with Putin about Putin’s war in Ukraine? Donny was left with egg on his face and could only issue his usual and useless “two week” time frame.

Putin, on the other hand, got a whole reel of propaganda footage of him leading around the President of the United States on a dog-leash while his dog performed tricks at his command. THEN, just to make sure Donny understood that Vlad is in charge, Putin ordered the bombing of an AMERICAN owned business in Ukraine.

Donny’s response? I mean, his ONLY response? “I told [Putin] ‘I’m not happy about it.'” That’s some pretty tough talk, right there. Next, I expect him to take a page out of the Democrat’s playbook and send a strongly worded letter. I’ll tell you this: it’s just embarrassing to be an American, these days…

I Trusted Bill…

If you’re one of those people waiting patiently for Donny to do something that turns off his base and causes them to withdraw their support, stop it. Fugitaboudit. Knock it off. Stand down. Let it go. It’s not going to happen. Do you want to know how I know? Bill Clinton. Yeah, I can see where that might need a little explanation so, here goes. I realized something. I did with Bill Clinton what MAGA does with Donny. I was taken in by Clinton’s charisma and I believed he intended to “focus on the economy like a laser beam.”

He got a little sidetracked by the first World Trade Center bombing on February 26, 1993 something like 37 days into his first term. But he signed the Tax Reform Act of 1993 in August of that year. It raised taxes on the wealthy and the economy took off. It looked like he was doing what he said he would do and I confess, I became complacent. I just trusted Bill.

I did notice when he signed – and supported – NAFTA. NAFTA was the ‘North American Free Trade Agreement.’ Although it enjoyed bipartisan support, it was, primarily, a Republican effort led by Bush 41. As it happened, I agreed with Ross Perot who warned that NAFTA would fast-track offshoring of American jobs. (Ross was right.) So I wasn’t happy, but I adapted. I trusted Bill, so I decided it was just policy integrity.

See, right up until Donny, an incoming administration honored the agreements and policies of the outgoing administration. It made the US a trustworthy and stable trading partner. So I dismissed my concerns. Surely, I thought, Bill has something in mind to protect American jobs. I trusted Bill.

That’s just one example. Bill did several things that I didn’t like or understand. But each time, I managed to find an explanation. Often, the explanation I “found,” I actually made up. Does any of this sound familiar vis-à-vis MAGA and 47? But by the time Bill left office, I was still fully onboard and ready to vote for Hillary. “Let’s keep it going,” kind of thing. I still trusted Bill.

It wasn’t very long, though, until the “fruits” of Clinton’s administration started to show. By 2004, I still would have accepted Hillary to block 43 but she, apparently, didn’t see anything she thought needed blocking. After that? You couldn’t get me to vote for a Clinton again under any circumstances. Yes, that includes Chelsea, should she run.

It was right around that time that I understood and began describing Bill Clinton – who ran and won as a Democrat – as the best President the Republicans had ever had in the modern era. He just did SO MANY things that served the Republican agenda. It’s easier to see now, looking backwards.

Did you know the homelessness problem of today traces a direct line back to Bill Clinton? An investment instrument called a ‘Derivative’ was developed during Clinton’s administration. He was warned they were dangerously subject to abuse and advised to regulate them. He made the very Republican decision to NOT regulate – trust that evil people wouldn’t do evil things. Guess what?

Evil people did evil things. The derivatives were abused. They caused the economic meltdown of 2008. That left banks holding a ton of repossessed homes, but because of the meltdown, most individual buyers didn’t have any money to buy. So a rule was changed and suddenly, corporate real estate investment trusts (REITS) were allowed to buy single family homes. They did. They still do. Now the vast majority of work-a-day Joes can’t compete. Housing costs are through the roof and with housing costs so high, rents skyrocket, too. Voila! Homelessness on a vast scale. Thanks, Bill.

Do you know why you can’t turn on a news program and just get a little journalism to inform you of the day’s events, instead of a three-ring circus intended to distract? The Telecommunication Act of 1996, signed and supported by Bill Clinton. That Act allowed media companies to merge and merge and become the corporate media conglomerates we suffer today. With only a handful of corporations now owning the vast majority of “news” outlets – which are now required to be profit centers – we get very corporate, very slanted “news.” Bill Clinton.

Oh, how about Fox Not-News? By law, Fox couldn’t exist in the US. It broke some ownership and market penetration rules. No worries, mate. Clinton’s administration issued a waiver and put old Rupert to work – ironically, tearing down Bill Clinton.

Those are all true. You can look them up. But in addition to those favors he did corporations, he ALSO attacked needy Americans through “welfare reform,” a long-term darling of the right. They called it the ‘Personal Responsibility and Work Opportunity Reconciliation Act’ (PRWORA). ‘Work Opportunity.’ Even the NAME sounds Republican.

The point is, Bill Clinton did all of these things during his presidency and I excused or overlooked them all. I assumed MY GUY would have an angle to offset any societal problems. I trusted Bill because I liked Bill. But this gets worse. Because I’m not blindly beholding to political parties, I was able to free myself of the Clinton delusion, but do you know how many people in this country STILL love Bill Clinton and sing his praises as President? Most Republicans STILL love to hate him, too, despite the success he had inflicting their agenda.

And THAT’S why the scales will, likely, never fall from MAGA’S eyes. 47 does something they don’t like? They can excuse that. MAGA will do for Donny what I did for Bill and for the same reason. They trust him. Should they? Should I have trusted Bill? That doesn’t matter. I did, and they will, too.

I’ll tell you this: my little revelation doesn’t make it any easier to accept what Donny is doing to America but it might offer some insight into why MAGA continues to support him no matter what…

Can you imagine an entire planet wishing and hoping and waiting impatiently for you to die? An entire planet! Every sane, rational person on the planet spends a little time, each and every day, looking for the headline, wishing for the outcome. Even Christians (real Christians, not these “christian nationalist” assholes) spend a little time each day praying, “Dear Lord, please call him home, today. Your world can’t take much more of him.”

There’s a major party brewing. There’s a world-wide celebration afoot. Everybody wants to be a part of it, and all we need is for ONE orange, bloated, blowhard, moron to pass quietly in his sleep. I hope for that party every day. I would not want to live a life that leads to the entire planet wishing and hoping for my passing. Apparently, though, Donny doesn’t mind…

They keep saying how stupid it is for Newsom (his office, really) to mimic 47’s social media posting style. Specifically, ALL CAPS POSTS RIFE WITH SELF COMPLIMENTS (AMERICAS FAVORITE GOVERNOR – ME!!!) AND INSULTS TO THOSE AROUND HIM (LIKE THE FAT LOSER IN THE WHITE HOUSE). SAD! THANK YOU FOR YOUR ATTENTION TO THIS MATTER!!!

Personally, I love them. They make me laugh. They highlight the idiocy and MAGA doesn’t even get it…

Fake And Not Fake News…

I think MAGA is so busy being happy about winning the “culture war” they don’t know or care about the actual damage being done to the country. We’ve all seen how they were recently turned away from the Epstein files. I mean, it seemed effortless. All Donny had to do was chant the words, “Fake news. FAKE NEWS!” Suddenly, every MAGA everywhere just KNEW it was all fake news. Donny, after all, had said so – and when does HE ever lie?

So, clearly, MAGA needs a primer on fake news. I’m here to help. I wouldn’t even be able to think of all of the scandals that have been dismissed by MAGA with those magical words, “Fake news.” I don’t understand the magical power, but that might be because I’m able to discern between fake news and real news. The thing is, it’s not that difficult. So here’s my “pocket primer” to determine if the news you’re hearing is fake news or real news. Don’t worry. I’ll keep it simple.

The short version is, Fake News is gossip, rumors. Fake News is trumpery. The single most important characteristic of fake news is this: there’s no evidence. That’s important. Fake news can’t have evidence. Evidence proves the ‘fake’ part of Fake News. But, by definition, if there IS evidence, it’s not fake news. This part can be a little confusing. When I reference a lack of evidence, it’s not a case where evidence has been collected but carefully hidden away. Actual fake news doesn’t have any supporting evidence, whatsoever. There are promises of evidence. There are promises that the evidence will be released any day now or at the “right time.” But that evidence never gets released – because it doesn’t exist.

Think, “They’re eating the dogs.” We KNOW that was a fake story. The woman who started it said so, flatly. There can be NO evidence of Haitians eating dogs and cats because the Haitians weren’t eating the dogs or cats. Hunter Biden’s laptop? The one that was going to prove the criminality of Joe Biden? When? Because mostly, it looked like an opportunity to display a little revenge porn on the floor of the House, but it didn’t do much else. No evidence means it’s fake news. The 2020 “election.” The claim that it was rigged? No evidence is ever presented and no evidence will ever be presented because it doesn’t exist. Oh, sure, it’s promised. It just never comes. It’s ALWAYS hidden under a mountain of “any day now” but never shows up.

The First Felon’s current lie? The one about mail-in ballots being vulnerable? Fake news. I’ll tell you exactly how vulnerable mail-in ballots are to voter fraud: Donny wants to get rid of them. This, from the guy who wants nothing more than to steal all of the votes right now, today, and who is openly saying so. “If we don’t cheat, we’ll lose the House.” He’s trying to rig the 2026 “election” in every way he can think of and one of those is to eliminate the voting type he simply can’t cheat: mail-in ballots. If Trump wants to get rid of them, you KNOW they’re safe.

But real news? Real news has evidence. Think of Donny’s 34 criminal convictions for fraud. That wasn’t a story based in wishful thinking. That was a factual event supported by verifiable evidence examined and judged by a jury. Remember when he stole classified documents? Real news. MOUNTAINS of evidence. There was so much evidence in the stolen classified document case, it literally required a truck to move it all.

Think Jeffrey Epstein. We all know the evidence exists. We KNOW the FBI collected evidence from his various residences. Sure, it has all been carefully boxed up and hidden in some deep vault in the hopes that nobody will ever see it, but the evidence is real. It exists. The Jeffrey Epstein charges are real news supported by evidence.

Russia, Russia, Russia came with evidence, evidence, evidence. It just got locked away before anybody could see it. Bill Barr locked it onto a local computer and released a “summary” that mostly reported what they wish it had said – but didn’t. The Trump campaign colluded with Russia in the 2016 “election” and probably in the 2020 (where Donny lost because of mail-in ballots) and, I believe, certainly in the 2024 “election.” Donny can’t win without cheating and the evidence says so.

Frankly, I would think MAGA would get tired of having to pretend anything that makes Donny look bad must be fake news. I mean, what are the odds that every single crime he commits, every charge he faces, every accusation from any and every victim is “fake news?” It simply defies logic that anything that makes Donny look bad must be fake news.

No, Russia, Russia, Russia was real news, not fake news. The felonies were real news, not fake news. The sexual assault? Real news, not fake news. His association with Jeffrey Epstein is real news, not fake news. He DID steal classified documents. But if one of the Deceived even considers the possibility, he redirects. He pretends the true story is fake news and replaces it with… go on, guess. Yep, you got it. Fake news!

Do you really believe Donny just posted ‘Bela’ for no reason? I don’t. I imagine ‘Bela’ was posted as a response of some kind. He’s delivering a message to someone. Maybe he’s answering a question or responding to a command Putin had for him. I don’t know the details, of course, but I DO believe he posted that for a reason.

Yes, “he’s a moron” IS a reason but that’s not what I mean. He needed to get back to Putin on some instruction and when the orders were carried out, the message was sent: “Bela.” I believe that Donny is manipulated and out-maneuvered by pretty much everyone he has contact with, so, pretty much everyone. Vlad gave him an order. Donny completed his assignment and sent the code word: “Bela.” That’s just my opinion but, what the hell? We live in a post-truth hellhole and MY wild guess is just as good as anyone else’s wild guess…

So, are ALL dictators goofball weirdos? I’m asking because I’ve noticed how weird 47 is. For instance, when he wants to look important, he physically puffs out his chest and gets a kind of silly look on his face – the kind babies get when they’re filling their diapers – as though important people have to adopt a specific physical demeanor to reflect their importance. You know who else used to do that, try to show how important they probably were by puffing up with a silly face? Benito Mussolini.

Both the Drumpfster and Mussolini adopt attitudes that, I guess, are supposed to project power, but somehow, it always looks to me like these are kids playing games and they have no idea how to do what they’re trying to do. They’re poseurs, hoping nobody notices. It’s a common characteristic among dictators.

Don’t get me wrong, I know they’re actually very dangerous guys. But everything about their body language suggests, to me, that they KNOW they’re out of their depth. That’s because they didn’t get there on their own. In each case of a new dictator, there’s a team of evil people behind the public face. What, you think Donald Trump is crafting all of those evil Executive Orders he’s signing at a furious pace? When, between the 8th and 9th holes?

If our judicial system hadn’t been so effectively corrupted during Donny’s first term, there wouldn’t BE a second term. You don’t think Donny, himself, knew which judges to focus on first, do you? No, that came from the Heritage Foundation, a conservative stink tank working to overthrow America one rule at a time. They’re a team, and they work together. So, one group works on corrupting laws, one group works on corrupting judges, the next group might work on corrupting the economy, that kind of thing. Good old-fashioned teamwork.

Buying Congress probably exceeded even the Heritage Foundation’s budget, though. That meant several billionaires banding together and putting their money to work – for them. They didn’t have to buy ALL 535 members, thank the gods. THAT would have been very pricey. But they had to buy enough of the cons AND enough of the Democrats to keep things going their way.

What, you think the Democrats lose because they’re incompetent? Please, these are national politicians. They know how to play these games. They know the rules as well as the cons. It’s their job to lose. They have to look like they’re putting up a fight, but they have to lose, so lose they do.

So you can see, Donny is surrounded by a team of evil enablers, it’s not just him. And it wasn’t just Mussolini. It wasn’t just Hitler. It isn’t just Erdoğan in Turkey or Kim in North Korea. It isn’t even El Salvador’s Bukele, who calls himself “the world’s coolest dictator,” a pretty low bar when one considers the others. Dictators have teams. But all of the front men? Weirdos. Poseurs. Freaks and Geeks. I wonder why that should be so.

The reason I mention it is this: when the time comes, we’re going to need several guillotines, not just the one…

I’m really having fun with these. Gavin Newsom has been copying the social media posting style of Jeffrey Epstein’s very good friend and possible co-conspirator, Donald Trump. Here are a couple more posts from Gavin Newsom’s office. This was during Newsom’s countdown to gerrymandering to offset MAGA cheating in Texas.

47, himself, couldn’t have written it better. I’m pretty sure this next one is just trolling, but it’s so spot-on. The press office has captured the style so perfectly, the all-caps, the rambling blather, the nonsensical grammar, even the self-important blowhard stuff, that I find myself wondering if they’re AI generated or just the work of some brilliant people. I hope it’s the latter…

Okay, did you know there’s a company out there called ‘Crowds On Demand?’ It’s CEO is a guy named Adam Swart and he insists that he supplies paid protestors for events. Curiously, this information is being reported in MAGA media but not so much in center or left-leaning media. I think stories like this are why the right believes 47 when he dismisses protests as paid events.

The thing is, Swart makes claims that are a little weird. Swart claims he sends paid protestors to protests for either side, left or right. Fair enough. But then he says all of the protestors he sends to an event are “sincere advocates for the cause at hand.” Why? You’re essentially hiring actors. Actors don’t need to be sympathetic to the characters they play.

What, do you think Robert Englund, they guy who played Freddie Krueger, is actually haunting people’s dreams and murdering them? Spoiler alert: he’s an actor, playing role. He doesn’t have to actually “support” murder to play Krueger. So, why would it be important that I actually support the No Kings Day protests if I’m being paid to go there and hold a sign that says I support the No Kings Day protest? Is it at all possible that a claim that paid people are actual supporters is made to cover for the fact that reporters can never find anyone who says, “I’m just being paid to be here?”

It’s important to note that Swart refused to disclose which protests his company has been asked to participate in. During a back and forth with ‘Fox and Fiends’ co-host Lawrence Jones, he suggested his professional protestors had participated in the Tea Party protests. Jones was having none of it. He rejected, outright, any notion that a conservative protest might need or want paid protestors. In his (conservative, myopic) eyes, protestors are ONLY paid to protest at liberal events.

But that’s my next question. Why in hell would anyone have to pay protestors to come out for No Kings Day? Americans are angry about the ravages of Donny’s foolhardy regime and we don’t NEED no stinkin’ paid protestors. Crucially, not only does Swart dodge the question of which protests he has sent people to, he refuses to say WHO pays him, from either side.

So, in summary, Swart is a guy who claims he sends paid protestors to events but only if they already agree with the event they’re being sent to. He refuses to say which events he has been engaged to augment, and he refuses to identify who, exactly, is footing the bill for the paid protestors who already agree with the protest they’re in. Essentially, that’s a claim with no evidence. That means it’s exactly the kind of story MAGA will buy – every single time…

Pretending Success…

Jeffrey Epstein’s very good friend, Donald Trump, is getting people killed with his cruel ICE raids. This clever trick ICE is using? The one where they raid Home Depot parking lots from Penske trucks looking for day laborers who ALSO happen to be murderers and rapers, even though they’re fresh out of murderers and rapers? Yeah, that one. Now a man fleeing such a raid has been killed. He was trying to escape the ICEholes when he ran into traffic and was hit by a car.

That same article included the tidbit that the US is currently holding 60,000 people in detention for deportation. If you actually believe they’ve managed to round up 60,000 murderers and rapers who were just wandering around free, I’ve got a bridge I’d like to sell you. The same bridge, over and over. And if you believe – actually believe – they’ve rounded up 60,000 murderers and rapers, well, you’re just stupid enough to buy that bridge every time I sell it to you.

I’m okay writing that last sentence because I know they don’t actually believe the ICEholes are only holding murderers and rapers. MAGA knows the vast majority of people being detained have no criminal record beyond a lack of proper paperwork. They don’t much care. They just like the idea that the government is inflicting pain and suffering on someone they don’t like.

Yeah, yeah, other countries enforce their immigration laws. I’ve heard that one. But that’s not all they’re doing, is it? It’s one thing to grab Jose Garcia as he sneaks across the border and send him back to where ever he came from, it’s another to revoke otherwise proper permission to be here for the sole purpose of rounding people up and sending them away. And there’s no reason on Earth for them to be so effing cruel. THAT part they’re throwing in for the fun of it.

Like everything else in MAGA world, most of the details of the deportation story are fraudulent. Most of the people detained are NOT violent criminals, the group he promised to target. Large numbers of them were immigrating “the right way.” That is, they were following the law and going through the process. The DOJ is interrupting the process for the sole purpose of declaring the people caught in the middle “illegals” and hauling them off to detention camps.

Oh, and the camps. Why does the regime have to be so effing cruel to the people they’re taking into custody? The main “crime” of the vast majority of those people is that they wanted (or needed) to live somewhere other than where they were born. Most of them were contributing to our society in some way, not taking from it. That is to say, the US benefited from their presence. Their reward? They’re ripped from their families, “detained” in sub-human, cruel conditions, and then often deported to countries they are not from, they know nothing about, they have no business being in…

I read this sentence from ‘The Niners Wire:’ “Through the first few weeks of training camp, the San Francisco 49ers have been one of the unluckiest teams in the league when it comes to injuries.” I’m not sure I can agree with “unlucky.” The Niners have a long history of injuries on the team. Last season, it was so bad, they were lucky to be able to field a full team and the team they fielded… well, wasn’t very good.

Kyle Shanahan is certainly a better coach than I’ll ever be, but there’s something about the training camp that needs to be addressed. It seems like every year, injuries are the lead story. Some of it comes from signing injury-prone players. Some of it happens in practice. During actual games, Shanahan is infamous for running one player to death, even though he has another player on the sideline who might give the first player a breather.

Letting player one sit out a play or two protects him. Letting his backup take a snap or two gives him experience. It’s a win-win, but it’s a win-win Shanahan never uses. I’m becoming concerned we’re about to endure another season of a team packed with superstars who are all hobbled on the sidelines, watching their team fall to 6-11. I wish someone could help Shanahan manage his team’s health a little better…

So… this is weird. Why did the Drumpfster waddle left and right when he was on the red carpet, waiting to meet his Russian handler? He was just walking. You know, as one does. But he veered. First he veered right. He almost walked off the carpet, so he veered left. When he reached the left side, he had to try to straighten it out again. If we had been driving, I would have called the cops on a likely drunk-driver. He finally managed to move back to the center of the carpet before coming to a stop and standing out in the middle of the airport waiting for Putin.

But then, as Putin rolled up, Donny started clapping. I suspect if he was capable of jumping up and down, he would have jumped up and down. He looked like a little boy who gets to see the “big truck” when it comes to collect the trash and can barely contain his excitement.

One thing that offered comfort to those of us wishing on a daily basis for natural events to end our national nightmare, Donny’s cankles look pretty bad. ‘Cankles’ is a slang term that describes a lack of definition between the calves and the ankles. It’s common in fat, out-of-shape people and Donny is definitely that – fat and out-of-shape. He’s very old. He’s in terrible shape. He could come to a natural end at any moment and in my book, it wouldn’t be a moment too soon.

Oh, yeah. Almost as an afterthought, no deal. Donny always thinks he’s going to walk into any room and make any deal he wants. He nearly always walks out with egg on his face (and ketchup on his tie) and no deals. Sometimes, people TELL him they’ll do this or that but because nothing is in writing, it’s just talk. They can string him along for months, maybe years, just telling him what he wants to hear. So they do. I’ll tell you this: Jeffrey Epstein’s very good friend, Donald Trump, just isn’t the deal-maker he pretends to be…

What Dictators Do…

I want to say something. It’s been bothering me. Maybe it bothers you, too. All we hear in the media about that stupid Big Ugly Bill is that it was a tax cut and a spending cut. That’s not right. It IS a tax cut. A tiny, temporary tax cut if you work for a living, and a lovely and large, permanent tax cut if your primary income is in Capital Gains. So, really more of a tax shift in the long run. Rich people don’t want to pay but they’re happy to let the working class pick up the tab.

It wasn’t a spending cut, either. Donny is out there spending money like a drunken sailor. It was, rather, a spending shift. America stopped spending money intended to help people but we’ve been spending on 47’s pet projects and other wasteful pursuits like it’s a sacred obligation. Turning one’s back on the needs of one’s people and instead, looting the treasury as fast as one can? Well, that’s just what dictators do…

OMG, he’s federalizing Washington, DC! Uh-huh. He’s taking over the Kennedy Center! Yep. OMG, he’s taking control of the Smithsonian’s exhibits! Well, sure. He’s putting back statues of confederate traitors, too! Of course he is.

Donny is just doing what dictators do. It’s only a matter of time until he commissions a “glorious” statue of himself. If you didn’t want a dictator, the time to stop him was before he had control over the levers of power. Now? Oh, it’s FAR too late.

Oh, sure, people are pissed off about it – NOW. Not pissed off enough to do anything effective about it, but they’re angry. So they’re going to town halls and yelling at useless Republicans infesting congress. The most recent I’ve heard about is the town hall held by Doug LaMalfa, who is, according to the Guardian, “a fourth-generation rice farmer who has represented his northern California district since 2013.” That sounds like he’s not so much a farmer as a politician but, whatever.

When people started shouting at him over the Epstein files, he tried to shift the blame in that way the GOP always does when they get caught red-handed in some grift, graft, or lie. “It’s interesting the Epstein situation was not an issue during the Biden administration,” LaMalfa noted earlier in the town hall. The crowd booed and jeered in response. Biden should have released the files, too, but he never promised he would. That was Donny. Donny promised, but Donny lied. Of course, that’s just what dictators do…

Speaking of taking over Washington, DC, he’s just lying, you know, but, really, that’s just part of dictator shtick. It’s just what dictators do. He comes out and describes DC as some kind of crime riddled, dystopian hell-hole. He makes it sound like people can’t even open their curtains, let alone go outside, for fear they’ll be victimized by all of that crime. Of course, then, people who do know what they’re talking about come back with facts and details and it turns out, Donny’s just lying about crime in DC. IS there crime in DC? Sure. Pick a city, any city. You’ll find crime.

It tends to be worse in red states. Did you know that? It does. As it happens most red states are poor states. I’m certain there’s a correlation but the red hats never see things like that. Anyway, poverty leads to crime. There’s a genuine aspect of “What choice?” So it’s not a surprise that crime is higher in red states, but 47 isn’t talking about sending troops in to red states. He’s talking about sending troops into blue states.

Sending in troops. In America. Even though I know, it’s just what dictators do, I’m having difficulty accepting that we all just acquiesed so easily. That’s not blame or finger-pointing. It’s just an observation…

I think it’s funny that a common refrain from Americans when talking about the impending Putin/Drumpfster meeting expresses the hope that Donny isn’t duped out of Alaska by Putin. It’s being expressed as a joke, but I suspect genuine concern drives the humor.

I, for one, don’t expect much from this meeting. Really, I think Donny’s just checking in with his Russian handler. He’ll pass along whatever secrets Russia has requested and update old Vlad on things he’s heard that are going on. Then he’ll suggest Russia stop bombing Ukraine and “old Vlad” will tell him no, because that’s what dictators do. That should be the end of it.

But I’ll tell you this: I’m concerned Donny is going to come out and announce that Putin has “agreed to a twelve-hour cease fire in exchange for Alaska. It’s a great deal, a wonderful deal. It’s a deal only I could have worked out. Oh, yeah, now anybody living in Alaska is a Russian citizen so don’t you DARE try to come back to the United States.” Or something to that effect…

Okay, thanks to 47’s incredibly fragile ego, coupled with his incredibly thick skull, official numbers from US collection agencies should now be disregarded in general. When the jobs numbers weren’t where Donny wanted them, he fired the person responsible for collecting the numbers, not the idiot who did all of the damage to the jobs market. That’s the fragile ego part.

But he’s also eliminating information on subjects he doesn’t like, like climate change. The guy is so dumb, he seems to really believe that if people just stop tracking and reporting on climate change, it just goes away. That was his oh-so-stupid attitude about Covid, too, but all that “went away” were over a million lives that didn’t need to be lost.

Perhaps one can still trust the weather report – so long as it doesn’t mention climate change, of course. But pretty much, US government numbers are now a patchwork of lies intended to salve one discontented, insatiable ego. I know, trying to force reality into one’s own delusions is really just something dictators do, but he’s just… such an embarrassment…

Ignore The Parts That Don’t Work…

I’ve noticed an uptick in media commentary about how bad Socialism is, always was, and must always be. I’m sure it’s related to this Zohran Mamdani guy. He is running for Mayor of New York City on the Democratic ticket but he calls himself – you might want to sit down for this – a Democratic Socialist! Arghhh! Terrifying.

There’s a huge swath of people in the country who simply accept that “Socialism” is, always was, and must always be, Communism. People like that are generally referred to with the comforting euphemism, “low information voters.” That is, people who don’t know enough to have a valid opinion. It turns out, there are lots of different kinds of Socialism.

The reason for the uptick I think I’m seeing? Well, first, Bernie. See? I don’t even have to write his surname and you know who I mean. Bernie. Sanders, the guy who would have wiped the floor with Trump in 2016 if the Democrats hadn’t artificially sidelined him in favor of Hillary, who lost spectacularly, leaving the world in the clutches of insanity. But her check cleared, right? Free Market Capitalism bought the election, Free Market Capitalism lost the nation. To Trump.

Bernie is an independent. He caucuses with the Democrats, but he’s a New Deal kind of guy and the New Deal was very definitely Socialism. It was Democratic Socialism, or elements thereof. The US DID adopt elements of Socialism. The US was never Communist. The New Deal, or Democratic Socialism, is what made America great in the first place. Not “cruelty to immigrants.” Socialism.

Bernie has remained popular ever since the nation discovered him. He’s too old to run for President again but he remains a visible spokesperson and he continues to hold the feet of power to the fires of exposure. That is, he’s not afraid to point out the flaws of our current system and suggest fixes – and his “fixes” tend to be Democratic Socialism.

People readily embraced him. Now he’s running around with AOC. She’s straight up Democrat but she’s hanging with the Democratic Socialist and she’s gaining much of the popularity and gravitas Bernie enjoys just from her association with him. That, too, is scaring the bejesus out of the Capitalist class. Now comes Mamdani.

Mamdani is out there promising Democratic Socialist solutions to problems created by Free Market Capitalism and, once again, the victims of that Capitalism are responding. I mean, it’s pretty clear so-called Free Market Capitalism has failed. No, it hasn’t collapsed, yet. But it seems a collapse is coming and with the Orange Moron at the helm, I’m betting on sooner rather than later.

So, people are looking for a better way. Democratic Socialism IS that way, scary name or no. The beauty part? We don’t even have to figure out if it’s going to work. It already works like a charm in several countries and the citizens of the Democratic Socialist nations are counted among the happiest citizens in the world. All we have to do is borrow the bits that work the best and fuse them into our own version. Simple.

But the powers that be work overtime to convince low information voters that Capitalism and ONLY Capitalism should rule the world. We’re supposed to ignore all the desperate poverty rampant in this, the richest country on the planet. Income inequality is dismissed as the normal course of events. Pay no attention to people who can’t even secure a place to live. They don’t “count.” Need a doctor? Oh, you should have been born rich.

The worst part is, we KNOW Socialism is better than Free Market Capitalism. From time to time, the Free Marketeers overdo it and crash the economy in a way their blessed Free Market can’t save them from. So what do they do? Why, they turn to Socialism! They let the government bail them out. Socialism. Then, once things settle down, right back to the “Free Market.” There’s even a saying about it: privatized profit, socialized risk.

I’ll tell you this: I’ve come to the conclusion that we should just socialize the whole thing, profit AND risk. Since we, the people, are going to be asked to suffer the consequences, we should also be able to enjoy the benefits…

Speaking of Free Market induced poverty, homelessness. It’s already a huge problem in this once great nation and it’s getting worse, pretty much everywhere. Donny has a new “solution.” He has ordered all homeless people to leave Washington, DC. That’ll solve it, at least in his pea brain.

It works, in his mind, because all cons know that all homelessness is caused by drug addiction, meaning it’s all their own fault, which is why it’s okay to leave them suffering in the streets rather than follow the teachings of Jesus, right? But the truth is, the vast majority of “homeless” people make up a group called “the working poor.” In this case, the emphasis should be on the word “working” because when 47 manages to run all of the “homeless” people out of Washington, DC, there are going to be a LOT of jobs left undone. It seems like everything he touches turns to garbage…

Oh, hey, I didn’t want to leave before reminding you that Donald Trump, Jeffrey Epstein, and Ghislaine Maxwell were the best of friends for years and seem to have worked together in a ring of sex traffickers of minors. The co-conspirators all insist the story is false and point to the so-called “Epstein Files” to prove their point. BUT, one of the co-conspirators also refuses to release the evidence they pretended would clear their names because of the obvious common sense needed to NOT supply exonerating evidence when one has it.

MAGA was so upset by Hillary Clinton’s non-existent child sex trafficking ring in a non-existent basement of an actual pizza parlor, one acolyte shot the place up trying to rescue the kids. Now that the mountain of actual evidence suggests it’s their Precious involved in an actual child sex trafficking ring, though, they’re pretty ho-hum about it. Funny, that…

More Dumb Things…

You see? This is what’s wrong with such a large swath of our media lying about, well, everything, all the time. This nutball shooter in Atlanta? The guy who murdered a cop while trying to murder other people? He was shooting at a CDC office – because he believed the Covid vaccine made him depressed and suicidal. When he found he couldn’t get in there, he went over and started shooting at a CVS drugstore, instead.

Oh, he was upset at the recent passing of a dog, too. That part I get. The belief that a Covid vaccine might do anything but vaccinate one against Covid-19? That’s the direct result of a now years long campaign of lies. Now we’ll suffer the effects of our moronic “health” secretary blocking the use of mRNA vaccines because he claims they don’t work.

People who rely on science say the mRNA vaccine saved millions of lives and shutting down work on new channels for it’s use will harm millions who didn’t have to be harmed. And that doesn’t even get into the area of economic leadership. If we abandon research into this new and exciting arena – like we have so many other advanced technologies because Donny prefers coal – we’re surrendering any possibility of leadership in the area. If we’re not leading the way, we’re not profiting from innovation. We WILL fall behind.

So in one move, Team Evil took us backwards in two different ways: We’re going to be sicker and we’re going to be behind in the technology. After hearing about this story, the guy was angry the vaccine made him depressed and suicidal so he shot up a CVS drugstore, I can see we’re already WAY behind in intelligence…

In what can only be described as an amazing coincidence – because in MAGAmerica, we have to pretend actions don’t have consequences – there’s a surge in Covid-19 cases! Here we go again. I guess some people just think it’s bad luck. Why does Covid-19 get so bad when Donny’s in charge? It must be the Dems, right? Biden! It couldn’t POSSIBLY be because Moron 47 insists on stupid over science. It’s like, everything he touches, he destroys…

According to the Guardian, evil Scott Bessent is going to take over control of the IRS. This will make him the (are you ready for this?) SEVENTH leader the IRS has had this year. Bessent replaces a guy named Billy Long, who held the post for an entire TWO months!

All of this is because of a large group of people who believe some of the most amazingly stupid stuff you’ve ever seen in your life. MAGA STILL believes ICE is only rounding up the worst of the worst, rapists and murderers. Nobody’s telling them the ICEholes are just picking up brown people and being as mean as they can about it. MAGA STILL believes undocumented brown people are living the good life on all of that sweet government money they get. They don’t. Mostly, they pay taxes into a system they can’t collect from. But just try to tell a MAGA. These guys are convinced brown people just wander into the country, into a welfare office, and walk out with thousands of dollars in monthly aid.

See, the ICEholes want to use IRS filings to cross-check addresses of brown people for deportation. The unofficial story is that Long, for some reason, declined to use the IRS database to help the ICEholes so he’s out. Of course, the official story is that he was only ever intended to serve in the role for two months because the White House sees IRS Commissioner as a kind of work-study, exploratory thing.

Now Long gets to go be Ambassador to Iceland and Bessent takes the helm of the IRS where he’ll have zero qualms about crosschecking Privacy Act information against ICE target sheets in an effort to help ICE fill their quotas. MAGAmerica sucks. That’s just all there is to it…

NFL football is coming. In fact, it has started. Well, the preseason, anyway. A kicker on the Jacksonville Jaguars made a field goal. A 70-yard field goal! That’s an NFL record. Nobody has ever made a 70-yarder before so you just KNOW that kick, a kick the entire viewing audience watched happen, MUST make the record books for all time and–
Wait, what? What do you mean, “doesn’t count?” Because it’s a preseason game? Records set in the preseason don’t count? Who knew?

I don’t normally watch the preseason. It’s generally more important to the players and coaches than to me. The games tend to be boring. Nobody is running the complex plays they’ll use in the regular season. It’s all about evaluating talent. Most of the time, nobody cares who wins and who loses. But I watched the Niners preseason opener last night. They lost. Who cares? What I wanted to see was Robert Saleh’s defense coming together.

He’s trying to put a new scheme into effect. He can use these games to test ideas while he tests players. He showed some of it last night. Not all of the players were up to snuff on all of the plays but it’s early, yet. I’m glad Saleh is back. There are a LOT of questions about this team going into the season but the skills of the Defensive Coordinator are not among them…

It looks like the MAGA strategy to protect President Pedophile is working. I’m seeing fewer and fewer stories about Trump’s many, many ties to child sex trafficker Jeffery Epstein and his moll Ghislaine Maxwell. The stone wall seems to have held. The files will not be released.

So, I’ll just post this bit here. Remember, Donald Trump and Jeffrey Epstein were very good friends who seem to have engaged in sex trafficking children together. Epstein is dead and Donny insists it never happened – and who has EVER heard of a criminal who lied about committing the crime? Remember, there are extensive files collected by the FBI on the topic that could well shine a very bright light on who did what to whom.

All the proof he might need to clear his own name but, for some reason, reasons no MAGA could ever fathom, he won’t release it. Oh, well, I guess we’re just going to have to listen to, and believe, the victims…

Consuming Garbage…

There’s a small chain of restaurants in Texas, of course, called ‘Trump Burger.’ Okay, so, first, yech. Second, I know 47 is fat, but to think one could sustain an entire chain of burgers made out of him for any length of time seems overly hopeful. The guy who opened the restaurants, Roland Mehrez Beainy, 28, was quoted as saying, “I would love to have [Trump’s] blessing and have him come by. We’re hoping that he … sees the place.”

I guess SOMEONE saw the place. Beainy has been arrested by the ICEholes and is set to be deported for overstaying his visit to the US. He’s from Lebanon. No word on whether he’s a murderer, rapist, drug dealer, or all of the above. But since Donny promised he was only going after the worst of the worst, Beainy must be one bad dude. Great cover, though. He LOOKED like a guy running a business and adding value to the local economy. It’s a good thing they’re getting rid of him…

When Republicans wanted to avoid a vote on whether they should try to force the release of the Epstein files 47 had promised to release anyway, they folded up shop and went walk-about. According to the GOP, that was just good politics.

When Texas Democrats wanted to avoid a vote on whether Texas should cheat even more aggressively in “elections,” they folded up shop and went walk-about. According to the GOP, THAT is an unforgivable crime, a dereliction of duty of the highest order, a betrayal that cannot be overlooked.

Texas cons have asked the state supreme court to vacate the Democrat’s seats. They’ve claimed the FBI is in on the search for the Democrats. The FBI has not confirmed. There’s some more of that Fraud, Waste, and Abuse they’re always pretending they care about. What Federal crime did the Texas Dems commit to warrant FBI involvement, eh?

Besides, isn’t the FBI busy redacting all of the mentions of the Drumpfster in the Epstein files? I hear it has taken thousands of agents working for months to find and eliminate all of them. That’s a LOT of mentions, wouldn’t you say?

NOW the GOP Texicans are trying to figure out a way to make a civil arrest warrant valid outside of Texas so they can arrest the Democrats who, after all, only did what the GOP did, but when the GOP did it, it was to protect their pedophile Precious, and when the Democrats did it, it was to protect democracy so, obviously, we ALL know who’s in the wrong, here, right?

Here’s a conflict. I hate gerrymandering. I think it’s cheating. I KNOW it corrupts democracy and should be outlawed from sea to shining sea. Yet, I WILL be supporting Newsom’s effort to gerrymander California in response to Texas’ evil deed and I hope other blue states join in.

We have lots of sayings to help guide us through deciding the best course. ‘If you can’t beat ’em, join ’em.’ (That is, do what they do.) ‘Two wrongs don’t make a right.’ (So, DON’T do what they do.) Fight fire with fire. (Um, so, do what they do.) Lie down with dogs, stand up with fleas. (So, DON’T do what they do?) Pick a side, you can find a slogan.

I’m on team ‘Fight fire with fire.’ Since the GOP is dedicated to cheating, decent Americans have no choice but to do the same or we lose our Republic. It’s a kind of ‘Sophie’s Choice’ situation where one is forced to decide between two wrongs. One is left to try and choose the least harmful wrong and then hope for the best…

It’s very strange, living here in the Upside Down. And really, it’s the Upside Down and Backwards. I used to wonder how the citizens of the Soviet Union felt while their government tried to gaslight them and convince them they were living the best possible life. I wondered if they knew better. I know they were enamored of things like American jeans (oh, God, he did NOT just mention jeans, did he?) which indicates a certain interest in things American and I suspect Soviet jeans weren’t as good as Levi’s.

Well, I’m sorry to say, now I know. And, really, we’re not even to the worst of it, yet. They’re just getting started. Americans still have it a little bit better off than the Soviets. We, at least, have the internet which CAN still bring us decent information from the real world. Having to rely on the internet for the best information, though, is like having to rely on GOP “integrity.” It could happen, but are you going to bet on it?

Speaking of which, I’m really getting sick of all of the click-bait headlines coming out on the left. Yes, the left. As often as they can manage, the headlines read something to the effect of “Trump crushed as courts hand down devastating loss.” (It turns out, Trump didn’t care, since he knew his corrupt appeals court would “fix” the ruling.) “Trump administration destroyed as truth comes out.” (The “truth” is something we all already know and it doesn’t even cause a flutter in, let alone “destroy,” the administration.)

This morning I saw, “Total HELL BREAKS LOOSE as Trump BLOWS UP STREETS.” It’s a hard-hitting review of the terrible things the ICEholes are doing. Yeah, it’s a crime against morality but I don’t see HELL BREAKING LOOSE, and I don’t see the streets BLOWING UP. Hell, I wish I did. Watching the US acquiesce to these… well, the acceptance has been difficult to take.

Is that what we have left? Outraged headlines? I think the left can do better and I really wish they would…

The Math Ain’t Mathing…

I’ve got to say, this is exactly the kind of math that keeps me from having full (read: any) confidence in Donny’s abilities. He claimed, more than once, that he cut prices on medications “1,300%, 1,400%, 1,500%.” He specified. “Not 50%, 1,500%!” He says things like that because his base laps it up like a kitten at a bowl of cream. “Ooh! Ahh! Prices down 1,500%. Why didn’t BIDEN do that?”

Well, because it’s impossible. So, yeah, Biden didn’t do that. Neither did Donny. It’s just that Biden didn’t lie to you about it. To be clear, if they cut prices 1,500%, when you go to pick up your prescription, you’ll get your meds AND a fistful of dollars. Anything over 100% means you get money back. Let’s say your script costs you $50. Lower the price 100%, it’s free. Lower prices 200%, the pharmaceutical company is giving YOU $50 to take it off of their hands.

Perhaps he’s just saying stupid things in an attempt to distract from the Epstein files…

Speaking of which, from out of the blue, with no warning and certainly no prompting – and having absolutely, positively nothing to do with her new minimum security digs she needed a special waiver from Donny’s “government” to go to – Ghislaine Maxwell has now declared that she never saw 47 do anything “concerning.” Apparently, she’s willing to misrepresent, but she doesn’t feel good about outright lying so they worked and worked until they stumbled over “concerning.”

Quick question, would it “concern” you if you were a child molester and sex trafficker and you saw one of your (alleged) suppliers molesting a child you trafficked? Because I don’t think that would be too “concerning” to that kind of a person. See? She got to tell the truth (because of her morals) and make it sound like it puts Donny in the clear. It doesn’t.

It’s curious, I don’t think of Ghislaine Maxwell as a trustworthy source. I suspect she might mislead if she thought there might be some benefit in doing so. In my mind, any testimony, comments, or statements she makes need to be corroborated with physical evidence. You know, like the Epstein files…

I have to confess, I DO wonder what he was doing on the roof of the White House. It’s a very weird place to hold a press conference – especially since the “press” was still on the ground and seemingly a good distance away. Maybe he was trying to distract from the Epstein file chatter. Then again, maybe he was trying to distract from the Texas redistricting drama playing out slowly while Texas Republicans work as hard as they can to cheat in the upcoming mid-terms.

I mean, they aren’t even TRYING to hide it. They’re out in force making public statements and threats against the Democrats who fled the state in an effort to forestall the proceeding. But the GOP wants to cheat. They want it soooo bad. C’mon, man, they need it. You know they need it. Just this one time, man. Be cool!

But the Dems aren’t “being cool.” They’re staying away and they’re making public statements, too. I don’t think this effort, alone, will stop the outright theft by the GOP but it could shine a light on it brightly enough that the Texas legislature decides it’s in their own best interest to stand down.

Naw, they’re stealing the thing. It says an awful lot to me that the GOP is SO certain that their own policies have been SO toxic, they’ll cheat in your face to keep their jobs – all so they can do MORE damage…

I know this is kind of rude but I always like it when trophy hunters get killed by their intended victim. The hunter has all of the advantage. So when millionaire Asher Watkins, 52, of Dallas, Texas, was struck and gored by a charging Cape Buffalo bull on Sunday, killing him instantly, it felt like…justice. The animal was minding it’s own business and Watkins came to kill it. The rule is, when someone tries to kill you, you feel free to try to kill them right back, right?

Watkins started it. The bull finished it. It wasn’t even a fair fight and the bull won. Occasionally, rarely, we get little glimpses of justice in this world…

Worse, if you’re buying a sex toy you intend to simply throw onto a basketball court, you’re probably not spending big for quality, right? It’s not a very enticing offer.
