SAVE And The Shiny Shoes…

So… he’s just straight up, flat-out insane, isn’t he? He has these delusions. He believes things that aren’t real. THEN, he wants us all to live our lives according to his delusions. That’s crazy. Totally effing crazy. Right now, I’m talking about his delusions regarding voter fraud but it could be anything. He says he’s not going to sign any more legislation until he gets his stupid, whiny way on voting. He thinks it’s very important to protect the vote from the failures he made up in his own weak-ass mind.

He’s looking for his base to pass the SAVE act, so called because it’s the only way he’s going to SAVE his ass from prosecution. If he can’t corrupt elections, he’ll be impeached and removed. Everyone – EVERYONE – knows it. It’s a laundry list of made up stuff. Well, except for one thing. He wants mail-in ballots banned for most people. That’s because he CAN manipulate the machines but he can NOT manipulate mail-in ballots. If we vote on paper, like we should, he loses, like he should.

For reasons that make no sense, whatsoever, he also wants his SAVE act to attack trans people. The assault has nothing to do with elections. Nothing whatsoever. Yet there it is, and he insists on it. Dems are refusing to participate and for my part, I hope the Dems hold the line. THEN, President Pedo came right out – as he does – and spilled the beans. The SAVE Act will, he assures everyone, “guarantee the midterms.”

To my ear that sounds like he’s confessing to the rigging of the election. How else might one “guarantee” elections? Putin can guarantee elections. Kim Jung Un can guarantee elections. A US President shouldn’t be able to guarantee elections, but the trumpster has just done it. The thing is, they would have to start again to get all of the provisions he’s demanding.

The House sent over a bill with fewer of the things Donny wants. The Senate hasn’t even passed that bill but Donny is demanding more. The Dems said they would not support the SAVE Act and I hope they don’t. I fear that the Dems are paid to lose to the GOP, though, so we’ll have to wait and see. But then, the GOP in the Senate isn’t working on the SAVE Act either.

Senate Majority Leader John Thune says he won’t move it because the Dems won’t support it. Felon 47 told them to lift the filibuster but Thune hasn’t made any move in that direction, instead saying he needs the House to send him a new bill. MAGA Mike the Johnson hasn’t made any move in THAT direction, either. Now, with trump openly boasting that the SAVE act will permanently rig elections in one party’s favor, it looks like politicians from both sides of the aisle are hesitant to act on it.

But if this thing passes, peaceful revolution will be impossible…

Even Bush 43, heretofore the worst President in history, stopped golfing after he started his illegal wars. (And, by the way, what IS it with the GOP? It seems every time one of them gets into the White House, they crash the economy and start some war someplace.) Anyway, George said he didn’t think the mother of some fallen soldier would like to see him out golfing and enjoying himself after getting that dreaded letter.

But there was trump, out on the course, giving thumbs up to imagined adoring fans, and wearing that same hat – the one he wore to the dignified transfer and never took off. Completely tone deaf, or just plain lack of caring?

So, let me make sure I have a solid handle on this: we do NOT have money to help desperately poor Americans receive health care, but we DO have the money to murder children in schoolrooms in foreign countries? Yeah, I’ve got it. I just don’t effing believe it…

I wonder if the whole shoe thing is a joke to him. If you haven’t heard (and you have) trump is now buying his co-conspirators new shoes. The thing is, he’s not checking sizes. He just buys a pair for someone and then they have to wear them. Also, the appear to be shiny shoes, like one wears with a tuxedo, not office shoes. So there’s Little Marco Rubio, wearing shoes clearly too large for him that are shiny and WILL draw attention. And they do.

JD is sporting a clearly oversized pair as well, making HIM look the fool, too, and I wonder if that’s the point. Is Trump dressing his staff to embarrass them on purpose? It’s a kind of making-them-crawl move meant to publicly humiliate them. I don’t feel sorry for them. Public humiliation is the LEAST of what they should expect when they hitch their wagon to that particular pony…

First we had, “Nothing bad can happen. It can only good happen.” That was from our notorious misleader, the figurehead of Team Evil. Now we have some new ones. These are so stupid, they sound like they came from Bush 43 who was infamous for this kind of malapropism. These aren’t single words, though. Behold the wisdom of the Precious:

“All of the people that died through the roadside bombs. Died and are right now walking around with no legs.” Can you imagine the inhumanity of being dead AND having to walk around on no legs?

“They’re the ones that caused the problem, but we’re really down prices big.” That’s a bonus lie/word salad combination. Only the most addled can pull that one off and that boy is clearly addled…

Did you notice the pattern? Felon 47 and Israel attacked Iran. Intel came out suggesting Putin was helping Iran. The trumpster and Putin had a phone conversation. Trump lifts some sanctions on Russian oil, helping Russia and harming Ukraine. Then, suddenly, Donny is declaring the war over. Or not. I mean, it is but not yet. We’ve accomplished our goals but not quite.

Then Israel attacked a fuel dump. “Woah, woah, don’t hit anything important!” The US said to Israel.
“You bombed a school full of children!” Israel retorted.
“Yeah, but we didn’t hit OIL! Like we said, nothing important.”
That’s genuinely how those people feel about the little guys. The oil must be protected at all costs. The kids? Collateral damage. Donny didn’t know any of them.

47 keeps barking orders and threats. Iran keeps bombing things – like ships in the Strait of Hormuz. The cost of a gallon of gas jumped by a LOT between last week and this making his damn dirty war a “twofer.” He’s squeezing the American household by radically increasing the cost of living to Americans AND he had initiated exactly the kind of nation-building, regime-change wars he swore over and over never to get into.

I don’t feel betrayed. I never expected anything better from the guy in the first place. Hell, I’m vindicated. But MAGA? I imagine MAGA is feeling a little let down at this moment, now that he’s done the exact opposite of nearly EVERY single campaign promise he has ever made. Now they have to start running around being PRO war and PRO pedophile and PRO job losses and PRO inflation. How humiliating. Hell, he might as well make them wear shiny, oversized shoes out in public. It must be tough to be MAGA these days…

Empires Fade…

I think the US is following a rather familiar pattern of history. We’re at the end of our empire. We’re thrashing in our death throes. We coddled our richest rich people until we couldn’t afford the empire any more. Now? Now we get to expend the last of our treasure in military misadventures around the globe. Military power is the only power we have left – and we won’t be able to afford even that much longer.

It’s survivable. I mean, Rome once ruled the world. It doesn’t anymore. Rome is still there, though. Great Britain once ruled the world. It doesn’t anymore. Great Britain is still there, too. The US once ruled the world. We won’t anymore. We’ll still be around, though. Really, we’ll just have to be better friends to people, more cooperative in the world. How ironic is THAT with this team of evil morons running the show?

Some people complain about the new empire, China, as though it wasn’t American business that handed China the mantle in the first place. What did YOU think was going to happen when corporations started shipping industry overseas to save money? China got all the benefit of those industries and the US lost all of the same benefits. We shipped ’em out to save money. Smart. Financially beneficial short-term move. Long term, though?

I’m thinking of Hadrian’s Wall. It was built by the Romans in England. It was designed to keep out interlopers. It marked the edge of Roman power in England, if not an actual border. It was necessary, in part, because Rome was running out of resources to keep pressing her empire. Rome moved from expansion to maintenance as the end neared because, financially, that was her choice.

Now, to be clear, the “end” didn’t come for several hundred more years. For three hundred years, that wall marked the might of the Roman empire in England but over that time, the power of the empire diminished steadily. The empire had started using foreign soldiers long before Hadrian built his wall but by the end, the wall was defended nearly entirely by people who had never seen Rome, let alone felt any loyalty to her.

After a while, even paying those soldiers got to be too much trouble. At the end, the soldiers just… wandered away, melting into the landscape and leaving the wall unprotected – at which time locals started dismantling the wall to use the materials in other buildings. These days, we can track the path through footings and some small bits of remaining wall but most of it is gone – just like the empire that built it.

The decline of the US empire won’t be any different, but it’s important to remember that the richest rich people are going to be working overtime to try to maintain all of the beautiful lucre they’ve stolen through the years and they’ll want anything YOU may have collected as well. Here, let me express that another way. The end of empire is marked by internal class warfare. All one has to do is look around and you can THAT playing out everywhere, all the time…

I know, I know, we were told that Trump hemorrhaged jobs in his first term because of his terrible, horrific, disgusting, completely failed management of Covid-19. In fairness, he IS terrible at everything he does so there’s probably some truth in that. So I wonder, what his excuse is this time? Reports are that the job market shed 92,000 jobs in February. Promise made, promise not kept.

And you’ve got to remember, even that number comes from a department working day and night to present President Pedo in the best light possible…

So now it turns out that 47 knew all about the ads he allegedly fired Noem over. It’s always the same with these guys. You’ve got to give their stories a minute. They tell whatever lie they tell, then comes the video or audio evidence that it was, in fact, just another lie. Of course, now she’ll have to be punished some more. No more ‘Special Envoy for the Shield of America’ for her. I suspect that going forward, she’s pretty much just “Kristi who?”

That leaves one more possibility for why KLAN had to go: the affair with Corey Lewandowski. But that would mean trump fired a subordinate based on a moral judgement, specifically, an affair. Trump has cheated on every one of his wives many times. He’s the adulterer’s adulterer – and he’s proud of his dalliances. Can you imagine Donald J. Trump making a moral determination about someone else? Pot? Kettle. Kettle? Pot.

One obvious possible difference, there, though, is that Trump is a man and everyone knows a man on the make is a-okay. A woman, though? Men like trump often think that their philandering is proof of awesomeness but a woman doing the same is proof of slut. It really could be she violated some moral code of his. I would never have guessed, having never seen even a hint of morality from him.

Rupert Murdoch is currently fighting a defamation suit filed by trump. His response to the suit? Trump’s character and reputation are so low, so despicable, that it’s not possible to defame trump. And yet he’s going to take issue with an affair? That doesn’t really track, does it? Maybe he wanted a little sumpin’ sumpin’ for himself and because she’s currently loyal to Corey – not her husband, mind you – she said no…

I saw this headline on the Reuters website, “Airstrikes, not occupation: Where Trump voters draw red lines on Iran.” Where Trump voters draw red lines? Is that a joke? Some MAGA have been irritated by the whole Iranian invasion, noticing that trump promised throughout the campaign that he wouldn’t start wars of choice or engage in regime change only to see him lead a regime change effort in a war of choice in Iran. Yet another promise made, promise not kept.

But they’ll get on board. They’re MAGA. They’re not willing to dissent. Hell, they’re not allowed to dissent. They CAN grumble, just a bit, before giving up whatever it was that was bothering them, and that’s what they’re doing right now. So when they pretend boots on the ground is the straw that breaks the camel’s back, I laugh. I can hear them now.

“No boots on the ground! Boots on the ground would be the final straw! We didn’t vote for forever wars! No US support for regime change! No boots on the gro– what? He sent them in? Oh. We need this war. Nobody wants boots on the ground, but they asked for it. It has always been obvious boots were going to be needed on the ground. Why won’t you support our president? Boots on the ground, boots on the ground!”

It’s never too difficult discerning any MAGA “principle.” Rule One is that they want what Donny wants. When they want something different, they differ to Rule One. Ever shall it be thus. It’s what spinelessness looks like…

I woke up this morning at 5:00 am. Only it was 6:00 am. I haven’t even finished my morning coffee and I’m already behind schedule. I do not like Daylight Saving Time…

Donny has already killed six US service members with his damn, dirty war, which is nothing compared to the 150+ children he killed when his team bombed a school. To his credit, he actually attended a “dignified transfer” of the soldiers he got killed. But he wanted to make sure everyone understood he didn’t respect the fallen – he calls them “losers” – so he left his effing hat on his head! Throughout the entire process, there he is, standing there with a baseball cap on his ever-so-stupid head.

I wonder if the rest of his hair has finally disappeared down the bathroom drain. Among Donny’s many, many… okay many faults is vanity. It’s why he wore that ridiculous comb-over for so many years. It’s common for bald guys to wear hats outdoors. Hell, it’s smart. So maybe he’s lost so much hair there’s nothing left to comb over and now the hat is a permanent fixture.

But even a bald man would, should, doff the civilian hat during such a solemn ceremony if they have any decency at all…

Where Lies Responsibility?

So KLAN is out. No, not THE Klan. They’re welcome in this White House 24/7. KLAN is Kristi Lynn Arnold Noem. Yes, that’s her real name. Everyone keeps saying Kristi Noem was fired but the details clearly indicate Noem was “moved” to a brand new position made up just for her – ‘Special Envoy for the Shield of America.’ No, it doesn’t really mean anything other than she was fired.

It’s important to remember, with this regime, being terrible is the badge of honor. She may have been bumped because she wasn’t terrible enough. Yes, she was, ultimately, an incompetent boob but her loyalty never waned. His did. She didn’t speak against him but his policies are terribly unpopular (because they’re so evil and stupid) and he needed a scapegoat. Exit, Kristi Noem.

The actual reason, apparently, is that she spent a huge amount of money on an advertising campaign. When she was questioned about it, she dodged and weaved until she couldn’t any more. When she was asked if 47 knew of the expenditure, she said yes. Uh-oh. HE says no. I still say she didn’t speak against him, though. She just went with the standard fantasy that Trump is omniscient at a time when he needed to be ignorant. It was a timing thing, really.

Now we get a guy named Markwayne Mullin. His name sounds like his parent couldn’t agree. One wanted Mark, one wanted Wayne. They started shouting “Mark” and “Wayne” back and forth at each other until “Markwayne” got good to them. THAT set the child on a path that made him perfectly qualified to serve in this Trump disaster zone. A damaged person working for a ruined person.

TWICE, I’ve heard Mullin call Cadet Bonespur’s war-that’s-not-a-war, a war. When he was called out for calling the not-a-war a war by a reporter, he said, “That was a misspoke.” Not once. Twice. Really, that’s just par for the course with these guys. They NEED it to be a war but legally, it can’t be a war. So, they’re calling it a war until they fear they might get caught, legally. I think they’ve already called it a war enough that we know THEY think it’s a war…

And since we’re on the topic, word is Russia is entering the war, too. No, not with bombs. With intelligence. Russia is helping Iran track American positions and troop movements. Everybody (except MAGA) knows that Donny takes orders from Putin and has for years. There’s a reason the US violated it’s promise to support Ukraine from a Russian attack: Putin told him to. Now Russia is siding with Iran.

Suddenly, Donny wants to “punish” Russia for getting involved by lifting sanctions on Russian oil. You can read it all day. It still won’t make sense. Lifting sanctions on Russian oil helps Russia economically and strengthens Putin’s hand in Ukraine. Lifting sanctions won’t be much in the way of “punishment.” Trying to get Russia to stand down by giving them a reward seems like rather an ineffective effort.

It seems entirely possible to me that this war-that-isn’t-a-war is about making 47 a “wartime” President, giving him extra power to consolidate his coup, AND to provide an excuse to get Putin out from under economic sanctions enough to get him some money coming in. The idea that it might distract from the Trump/Epstein files is just a bonus.

I’ll tell you this: I’m of the opinion that killing American soldiers – hell, anyone – as a political manipulation is one definition of pure evil. And there’s Trump, Netanyahu, and Putin, working together for their own benefits via war in Iran. Like I said, pure evil…

Speaking of wars, there seems to be a civil war breaking out among MAGA talking heads. Some support Donnie’s illegal war in Iran, some don’t. Some do but wish we hadn’t gone in with Israel. They’re back and forth and sniping each other. It’s fun. I doubt it will last. Whichever of the mouthpieces has taken a position against what Felon 47 wants will be brought to heel soon. But in the meantime, MAGA rank and file might be all over the place on the topic, too. It depends on which lying mouthpiece they follow.

I suspect it’s part of the reason trump hasn’t made a speech praising himself for his brilliance, bravery, and insight regarding Iran. He’s waiting for MAGA to settle on an acceptable excuse they’ll agree on, then he’ll speak up and say, “Yeah, that’s the ticket. That’s the reason. I’ve said so all along.” But with those who distort people’s thinking not working together, an independent thought might slip through. It’s possible some MAGA someplace might realize just how deeply they’ve been misled by the MAGA movement.

Look at MTG. It happened to her. Once the scales began to fall from her eyes, it seems they continue to fall from her eyes. She started off dedicated to the dotard. She got confused when he refused to release the Trump/Epstein Files he had promised so many times to release. None of the excuses offered held up in her eyes. Eventually, she (I think) began to suspect that maybe, just maybe, he was hiding his association with his best friend – and possibly the closest thing to an actual friend he’s ever had – because he was involved.

That kind of set her free from the Q-Anon mind control. No more Jewish space lasers for her. These days, she sounds almost liberal. (Apologies, Marjorie. I don’t mean to smear you. Yes, one CAN break free of MAGA and Q-Anon and remain a conservative.) Still, as long as the thought-distorting MAGA media can’t decide on a common position, many positions are possible. That’s always dangerous to any thought controlling dictatorial movement…

Holy gods, the DOJ released the pages they’ve been hiding on trump. They contain some horrifying stuff.

Man, this just keeps happening. After Trumps January 6th insurrection, a day he calls “a day of love,” he pardoned every person who had been convicted. Then, many of them started going BACK to jail because they really ARE “deplorables.” Now it has happened again. A Florida handyman has been sentenced to life in prison for molesting two children.

He was free to do that to those children because Donny insisted that reality isn’t reality and none of us saw all of the things we saw on J6. If you defended the J6 assault, or defended President Pedo’s decision to Pardon the assailants, you own a little of this. A small portion is very definitely on you. You had an opportunity to stand for truth, honor, and justice. Instead, you chose to stand for a pedophile dumbass…

Operation Epstein Fury…

It’s not unheard of for a sitting President to get a boost, sometimes a large boost, when they become a “wartime President.” Do you suppose our Feckless Misleader thinks HE will get a popularity boost by starting a war? There’s no legitimate reason for his actions in Iran. Most of the excuses we’ve been offered don’t make any sense. But the one we haven’t heard about? An attempted popularity boost? Yeah, that seems like exactly the kind of manipulative thing he would try.

Then again, maybe being a “wartime President” means he gets to try to cancel the mid-terms he’s so afraid of right now. Either way, the attack is a distraction, not the proper response of a country that has been attacked. We weren’t. We would have noticed.

I guess it’s just bad luck for the soldiers who die in the coming months (years?) that he just HAD to rape kids so many years ago…

I read on Tuesday that if Paramount Skydance acquires Warner Bros. Discovery, HBO Max and Paramount+ would be combined into a single streaming platform. It said the platform would have over 200 million direct to consumer subscribers. Will it, though?

The whole point of Paramount Skydance acquiring Warner Bros. Discovery is to turn Warner Bros Discovery into a conservative propaganda shithole. I’m pretty sure I’ll be able to find something better to do with my money than subscribe to pretty much any of their services…

Okay, if you’re going to start an illegal and unconstitutional war, shouldn’t you have made some plans for it? Like, how do we get Americans out of the combat area? Team Evil waited until the bombs started falling before realizing people might need to get out of harm’s way. They did suggest using busses, because busses are a great way to move people around combat zones.

Retired Major General Randy Manner has pointed out that the US State Department isn’t in a position to help Americans evacuate because of all of the widespread budget slashing that left the embassies far too short on personnel. That is to say, Team Evil’s earlier stupidity set the stage for the stupidity of today.

One of the scarier lines I’ve heard about the war is how short it’s going to be. I can’t say it won’t. I’m not good at predicting the future. What I CAN say is that governments commonly declare wars will be short and decisive. “Oh, we’ll have this settled in a few weeks.” Three years, four years, five years, ten years later, we’re still fighting.

Whiskey Pete: “We didn’t start this war, but under President Trump we are finishing it.” I think that’s a straight up lie. I think “we” DID start this war. Israel and the US initiated a joint operation, a first strike. They didn’t even have a decent reason. I think we’re currently on “Oh, they were going to attack us.” Uh-huh. Prove it.

There are questions about the action in Iran. IS it a war? Since it’s illegal for the President to start a war without the consent of Congress (We’re pretending laws still apply in this shithole MAGAmerica), normally illegal wars are called anything, everything else. “No,” we’re told, “this isn’t a war. It’s a police action. Except our current crop of misleaders. Both Felon 47, himself, and Whiskey Pete Hegseth have referred to events in Iran as a war.

Trump held a presser to talk about his stupid war in Iran. Obviously, that must include ramblings and ravings about curtains and a ballroom. Apparently, it was important to remind us that he likes gold. Yeah, we know.

Senator Markwayne Mullin referred to the memories of the horrors of war and how, once they’ve been experienced, one never forgets, despite the fact that Mullin has never seen combat personally, nor has he even served in the military. Then, more than once, he praised the fact that we have “President Hegseth” running things. Then he went on to confirm that Congress can still declare war on Iraq. No, I wrote what he said, “Iraq.” One would think he would at least know where the war he supports is being fought. The quality of our current “leadership” is breathtakingly, astonishingly dumbfounding…

The White House has offered up it’s first excuse about why Barron “can’t” serve: he’s too tall. So, obviously, someone finds a service member who is taller and points out that if HE can serve, Barron can serve. SLAP! That excuse falls to the ground, ruined. I guess Barron is about to develop a serious case of bone spurs – just like his cowardly daddy and all the Drumpf/Trump cowards before him…

Remember early on when the Trump team was attacking law firms? President Pedo sanctioned the firms using Executive Orders as punishment for representing people Donny doesn’t like – and the law firms rolled over and showed their bellies. These were supposed to be some of the best law firms in the country and they didn’t even have the cojones to defend themselves? Then, to make matters worse, some firms that hadn’t even been attacked volunteered to roll over.

Now the courts have struck down the Executive Orders and Team Evil is not going to fight it. I would never do business with any of those firms. They wouldn’t even fight to defend themselves, what should I expect them to do for me?

Boy, these MAGA really, REALLY hate the US Constitution, don’t they? I mean, that’s their right, under said Constitution but it’s still surprising they would just toss away their country. No war powers act? I’d suggest they go live in Russia, but it seems Russia is coming to live here…

In the 1970’s, women had this idea that they were primarily interested in “men who could cry.” Yes, that’s a little simplified, but not much. I called myself the 1970’s era, prototypical, Alan Alda-style sensitive male. Guys heard the message from the ladies. Guys, being guys, realized that if they wanted to get laid, they’d have to be more sensitive. Guys started crying. Surprisingly (or not), guys started finding themselves “friend-zoned,” too. It turned out, women wanted a man who could cry, just so long as he never effing did.

Now, young guys seem to have gone in the opposite direction. Young men have adopted this ‘you’ll do as I say, woman’ attitude. They’ve been influenced by so-called Alpha Male podcasters and have adopted the male-as-dominant attitude championed by cretins everywhere. Women, on the other hand, have not. Women decided in the 1960’s they were probably equal to (or even better than) men and, as of this writing, they haven’t seen any reason to change that stance.

I’m going to bet that the rise in what is called “incel” culture is directly related to the chasm. “Incel” is short for “involuntarily celibate.” This should not be a surprise to young men. You can’t expect a positive response to your “Bitches ought to know their place” attitude. It turns out, women DO know their place and it ain’t under your thumb – and it isn’t going to be in your bed, either. Perhaps they never heard the joke.

A man and a woman get married. On their wedding night, the man hands the woman his pants and says, “Here, put these on.”
She says, “I can’t wear your pants.”
He replies, “That’s right. I’m the man of the house, I wear the pants, and you need to remember that.” The woman goes into the bathroom to finish getting ready for bed. When she comes out, shes’ wearing a full, flannel nightgown, that reaches from neck to ankle. She hands her new husband her panties and says, “Here, put these on.”
He says, “I can’t get into your panties!”
She says, “That’s right. And you won’t as long as you have that attitude!”

I suspect this hyper-macho pretense is a problem that will work itself out over time…

MAGA On The Case…

I hear that Team Evil tried to work out a cease fire with Iran shortly after attacking her without cause or provocation and killing their Supreme Leader. I hear that Iran has declined the opportunity. It turns out, when one lights a fuse in the Middle East, one most commonly gets exactly the explosion they should have expected. President Pedo thinks the world is so impressed by US military power he can just bomb and leave as he pleases.

The headline in this morning’s ‘Guardian’ says, “Kuwait mistakenly shoots down three US fighter planes, as US says Iran’s “reckless” attacks threaten regional stability.” Kuwait mistakenly shoots down THREE US fighter planes? It’s being described as a ‘friendly fire’ incident. The crews are all safe but the planes? Not so much. I know MAGA is going to lap it up, but blaming Iran for threatening regional stability is pretty much what the DOJ is doing with the Trump/Epstein files and ICE: blaming the victims.

“Oh, those little girls shouldn’t have been so alluring,” and “Oh, those people shouldn’t have been so brown” are both terrible positions. “Iran responding to our unwarranted, unprovoked, illegal and unconstitutional attack destabilizes Middle East stability” is equally nonsensical.

I honestly can not believe people are going to die as a political maneuver by Sleepy Don in an effort to maintain power. I’ll tell you what’s worse. Cadet bone spurs said flatly, “The lives of courageous American heroes may be lost, and we may have casualties, that often happens in war.” I’m not the first to notice the similarity to the character Lord Farquaad in the movie ‘Shrek’ who says, “Some of you may die, but it’s a sacrifice I’m willing to make.”

Yet again, Trump is displaying his fundamental contempt for work-a-day Joes. He does that a lot. He pretends he loves them. He makes MAGA laugh. They love him. He does not truly reciprocate the feeling. I think after the revolution, any legal age offspring of the political “leaders” should be required by law to take up a position on the front lines of any war or battle these warmonger cowards decide to start. If it’s important enough to send my children, it should be important enough to send their own…

I remember during one of the Gulf wars, Saddam started sending SCUD cruise missiles pretty much everywhere they could reach. We were told here in the US that Saddam’s missiles were being taken care of by American Patriot missiles. We were told that the Patriots were shooting down, literally, 100% of the SCUDs Saddam shot off. Ha, ha, isn’t Saddam silly?

Then, one day, as support for the war began to wane a tad, here at home, ‘Time Magazine’ was emblazoned with a cover photo of a great big crater right in the middle of Riyadh. What a threat Saddam posed! So, we claimed to be shooting down 100% of Saddam’s SCUD missiles until they needed to whip up a little support, then, suddenly, the magical Patriot missiles magically missed one. It turned out, the Patriots weren’t quite as perfectly devastating as the American people had been led to believe. The already rich contractor who built the things made tons of taxpayer money, though, so no one is allowed to complain.

Israel is said to have a “Golden Dome” of protection. Nothing can get through. But if you’re like me, you noticed that Iranian missile falling into Tel Aviv. You know, having gotten through. I mention that because Sleepy Don wants to build a “Golden Dome” for America, too. That, I’m sure, will be expensive. Oh, AND, it doesn’t seem to work.

I’ll tell you this: I think I’d rather see them stick to the defenses we already use and divert the money they were planning to pass on to their rich friends to universal health care for Americans…

According to the CDC, as of February 26, 2026, there are 1,136 confirmed measles cases in the United States. In all of 2025, there were 2,281 cases. We’re on track to bury that number – along with several of the victims who contract the illness. In 2024, there were 285 total cases in the US. In 2023, there were 59.

Word is, measles kills about 95,000 people around the world every year. The sudden increase is said to be down to “vaccine hesitancy.” People are “hesitant” to get their kids vaccinated. Instead, they’re eager to risk their child’s life to measles because they’re afraid of a story an unethical doctor made up to try and make money. After the revolution, can we please make ‘Critical Thinking’ a mandatory class every year from Kindergarten through twelfth grade? Clearly, we need it…

The economic fallout from Team Evil’s management continues to grow, unabated. The DOW dropped 521 points on Friday. It closed at 48,977.92, well below Pam Bondi’s sacred 50,000+, meaning the DOJ now has to release all of the Trump/Epstein files. No, I don’t understand the relationship, either, but Pam assured us she didn’t have to release the files because the DOW was over 50,000. Maybe she can explain it…

Rich people are being gouged by other rich people just because they want to get out of harm’s way. Maybe they can start a GoFundMe…

Some clever sod has created a “Walk of Shame” near the White House. It’s made up of stickers that resemble the “Walk of Fame” stars but they name people identified in the Trump/Epstein files. Each sticker includes a QR code that opens a link to information about that particular assailant.

It looks like Trump’s damned and dirty little war of distraction hasn’t distracted at all. I’m guessing we’re going to have elections, too. It’s almost like he’s going to waste all of those lives and all of that money for nothing. Oh, AND, expect the price of gas at the pump to go up, not to mention other imports that will likely be affected by the upheaval in stability. Thanks, MAGA…

Two Thoughts At Once…

So, we’ve bombed Iran. Does that mean the DOJ released those hidden pages from the Trump/Epstein files? What does the elimination of Iran’s Supreme Leader, Khamenei, mean? Not much, I’d guess. Iran has a system to replace the Supreme Leader, just like the US has. In fact, the unprovoked, surprise US/Israel attack on Khamenei’s compound killed several highest-ranking leaders, all of whom have been replaced today. The MAGA dream of regime change and nation building is in full swing. In 2012 and 2013, Trump insisted Obama would invade Iran in order to distract from domestic failures at home, so we KNOW he understood the strategy.

In the meantime, we found out that Elon Musk asked Jeffrey Epstein for ‘the wildest party.’ That’s yet another close associate of Trump’s, partying with Epstein. If you’re not MAGA, you’ve seen the pictures and video of Trump partying with Epstein, too. (If you’re MAGA, you were told, instead, about how cute puppies are.)

It was a crime, the bombings I mean. We all know raping minors is a crime. Several countries have spoken out against the actions. The whole world knows it was illegal and unprovoked. Iran wants nukes. It’s hard to blame them. Do you know who doesn’t get invaded by the US? Countries with nukes. Consider Osama Bin Laden. When the US wanted him, we invaded Iraq. They didn’t have nukes. We also invaded Afghanistan. They also didn’t have nukes. When we finally found Bin Laden, he was in Pakistan. They DO have nukes. So, we just sneaked in real quiet-like and snatched Bin Laden up and whisked him away.

If Hillary and Bill can be called before Congress to testify in the Epstein case, why can’t Melanomia and Donald? We all know Bill flew on Jeffrey’s plane fairly regularly. I, for one, haven’t heard anything verifiable that implicates Clinton in Trump’s and Epstein’s sex-with-kids scheme. It’s still possible Clinton availed himself of legal age women they may have been trafficking, too, but I haven’t heard that, either. In short, Clinton used the plane, not the women.

I’m just not sure why the US gets to decide who gets nukes and who doesn’t. My preference is that NOBODY have them, but we do. (Humans, I mean.) So why do we get to decide? Are we afraid a madman might gain control of the stockpile? Well, we’ve got THAT now, too. And it ain’t in Iran. So Trump murdered Khamenei in order to destroy the Iranian enriching capability Trump insists the US destroyed only six months ago, which was only proceeding in the first place because Trump is jealous of Obama and unilaterally decided to walk away from a deal Obama made that would have stopped Iran from gaining nuclear weapons any time soon.

Do you suppose Trump can say the same? He used the facilities, not the girls, that is. There’s at least one filing of specific, graphic detail of Trump forcing a thirteen year old girl to perform oral sex on him. She apparently bit him and he punched her in the face. I’M not saying that. SHE is. And THAT came out even as the DOJ works feverishly to redact and remove the name Trump anywhere and everywhere it appears.

Iran can’t attack the US so they started dropping bombs around the Middle East, instead. Mostly, their bombs are aimed at Israel but they’ve dropped a few into other countries, as well. Mostly, those have been countries that host US military bases. Historically, it’s not a good thing when bombs start falling in the Middle East. It often leads to years of conflict. Increases in oil prices are one side effect but FAR more importantly? People die. Like the 148 girls (so far) killed and 95 wounded when a US missile hit a girl’s elementary school. “Targeted strikes,” indeed…

Still, I do have to confess that Trump’s illegal bombing of Iran seems to have pushed the Trump/Epstein rape conspiracy off of the front pages for a short time. But I expect it to be only for a short time. While I’m becoming increasingly convinced that corruption is going to protect the perverts and pedos – at least here in America – the very least we can do is name them and shame them…

From the way this is written you might discern that I suspect the bombing of Iran has everything to do with distracting from the increasing fallout from the Trump/Epstein files. The fact that people are actually dying in an attempt to distract from the Trump/Epstein files seriously boggles my mind. I’ve become increasingly disappointed by the gullibility of so many of my fellow Americans. The distraction might work. Think about this, not that.

But it turns out? You CAN think about two things at the same time…

I’m not telling you I’m voting for Gavin Newsom. I’m not saying I won’t. But he has been put into a bit of a political trap. Bernie Sanders is backing a billionaire tax in California. Newsom opposes it. As it happens, I do, too. I’m all for a billionaire tax. I really believe the wealthiest wealthy should pay their fair share and a billionaire tax is a good start. BUT…

You can’t do it in only one state. The one percent are forever threatening to leave if we ask them to pay taxes. The obvious answer is, “Oh, yeah? To where?” Where might they go that offers the same combination of First World Luxury and such oh-so-low-to-non-existent taxes? But they CAN leave between states without suffering too much…

Collective Insanity…

Are we all really supposed to just forget that the US had an agreement with Iran to stop nuclear weapon production? Felon 47 objected to it because it was negotiated by Obama’s team. So, in his first term, Trump unilaterally pulled out of the deal. He said it was a terrible deal but I’ve seen him work enough now to know that he wouldn’t know a terrible deal if it slapped the orange off of him.

After the ill-advised, unilateral pull-out from the Iran arms deal, Iran started enriching uranium again. To be fair, it should be noted that Iran says it’s nuclear ambitions are peaceful, intended for civilian power purposes. No, I’m not saying I believe them, necessarily. That’s just what they say. Anyway, Trump “decided” to bomb Iran’s enrichment facilities after Netanyahu told him to.

The US bombing raid met with some less-than-stellar reviews. The regime that always claims complete and perfect success, claimed complete and perfect success. Analysts around the world suggested the bombing raid did damage but not as much as was being touted by the regime, which was claiming complete obliteration. When questions were raised regarding the actual efficacy of the raid, the regime repeated, LOUDLY, “COMPLETE OBLITERATION!” and “WHAT PART OF COMPLETE OBLITERATION DO YOU NOT UNDERSTAND?”

Recently, workers rebuilt a bridge here in my home town. It took a little over a year. I suspect a bridge is a less complicated build than a uranium enrichment facility. The point is, Iran could certainly rebuild it’s facilities after “complete obliteration.” But wouldn’t it take more time than it took to rebuild a bridge? Isn’t it difficult to obtain uranium to enrich? Doesn’t that take time? Doesn’t the enrichment process, itself, take time? Doesn’t it take even longer to refine uranium to weapons-grade standards?

But only six months after “complete obliteration,” the new claim from the lying US regime is that Iran is only mere weeks from obtaining WMDs. WMDs?!? Where have I heard that one before? It’s a test, see? How stupid are you? CAN they take you to war using the exact same lie Bush 43 used to illegally invade Iraq? I guess we’re going to find out. Either they were lying about complete obliteration in the first place or they’re lying now.

If he hadn’t been such a teeny, tiny man, if he hadn’t been so desperately insecure, and so completely jealous of Obama, he might have just kept the deal that was already in place. Now he’s going to war in an attempt to get the deal that already existed that he walked away from unilaterally and voluntarily. Hey, MAGA, remember when he decried foreign entanglements and promised to stay out of them? Get your kids ready. It’s time for The Sandbox III.

MORE people dying because he’s a moron. A new war-of-choice. An illegal war, remember. He STILL has so much support among his base. At some point, one has to acknowledge the collective insanity of it all. And remember, we’ve all seen him “work” over this last year. Any deal he actually gets will be less than the deal he abandoned. I can practically guarantee it. I still want to see the complete, unredacted Trump/Epstein files…

Well, it looks like Paramount is the winner in the Warner Bros/Discovery hostile takeover. That means everyone else loses. It’s going to be MUCH harder to find decent, trustworthy information from US sources. The One Percent are building a media misinformation empire intended to deceive and confuse. This merger will do tons of damage to an already teetering media landscape. Cons are trying to convert all media to a Fox Not-News format, that is, protecting the Pedo. All propaganda, all the time.

Cons are already attacking CBS news. Now they get to destroy CNN but they’ll also gain control of programming at HBO. What do you think that’s going to do to ‘Real Time with Bill Maher’ and ‘Last Week Tonight with John Oliver?’ Do you think it will have any impact on HBO’s documentaries?

We can still get reasonable news from the BBC. There are other dependable foreign sources we can turn to but many of them involve reading and, apparently, Americans can’t be bothered anymore. There’s a guy, Seth Stern. He’s chief of advocacy at the Freedom of the Press Foundation. He pointed out that the new company will readily throw the news organizations under the bus for business or political reasons, then added, “But censorship is bad for business. WBD executives and shareholders should recognize that selling companies that depend on the first amendment to a censorial White House puppet is not only morally wrong but harmful to their bottom line.”

I know I’ll be cancelling subscriptions…

So, last month, the on top of everything Trump regime shut down airspace around a New Mexico airport so they could shoot down a bunch of party balloons. In fairness, they thought the balloons were drug cartel drones. I would have imagined they could tell the difference but, apparently not. Now, just to make sure we know they don’t know what they’re doing, they’ve finally shot down a drone!
“Well, that makes it sound like they DO know what they’re doing.”
“Yeah, I wasn’t finished. It was a US drone being operated by the border patrol.”
“I think you just said we shot down one of our own drones…”

Recently, for reasons I can’t define, I’ve been watching a lot of historical clips on YouTube about WWII and it’s aftermath. What happened to equipment? What happened to the Nazi leadership? What happened to complicit civilians? I recommend it. I find it comforting. It helps me remember that a once-civilized nation that loses it’s collective mind CAN find their way back to decency.

I’m always particularly unimpressed by the way so many of the Nazi leaders took their own lives rather than try to justify their positions to the world. It makes it seem, to me, like they knew there was no justification. Even if they thought it was because the world was so stupid, they knew they’d never convince anybody they had done the right thing. Call it the lack-of-courage-of-their-convictions.

After the war, Germany went through a “de-Nazification” program, in which Nazis were purged from government positions. We’ll have to do the same with our Nazi— er, MAGA conspirators. What, we’re just going to leave Aileen “Loose” Cannon in her judicial role? I don’t think we can afford that. People like her would just keep inflicted their faulty ideologies on the country. They’ll have to be removed.

It’s likely going to take a while to deprogram the MAGA rank and file, too. Those guys have been conditioned and they’ve been conditioned good. They’ll need help getting back to civilized frames of mind. Still, remembering that Germany went from sane to insane back to sane again is a comforting reminder that hope is still possible as the US descends into it’s own collective insanity…

The Gaslighting Of The Union…

Well, it seems that went exactly as expected. From what I hear, he had a captive audience and he held them hostage for nearly two hours. Some of it, you have to be honest, was the Republicans making such a show of jumping to their feet every time he finished a sentence and applauding whatever moronic stupidity he had just spewed. That might not be so bad, if he had said anything of value but after the fact-checking, it seems he didn’t even say anything honest.

Some Democrats attended. Some walked out during the speech, which I kind of liked, but I would have been happier to have that entire side of the chamber empty to begin with. Al Greene, a Democrat from Texas, went but only long enough to get thrown out for holding a sign that read, “Black people are not apes,” a sign referencing the racist video trump, except, no, some unnamed staffer, posted to trump’s account showing the Obamas as apes.

There was a time when Congress Critters sat, respectfully, and listened to the speech. I should mention, many of them have actually been fairly good speeches, unlike this mess. But that has changed. Several years ago, a Congress Critter named Joe Wilson (a Republican, obviously) shouted, “You lie!” at Obama during one of his State of the Union addresses. MTG did it again, shouting at Biden.

So, turnabout being what it is, the Dems added their own spin and started fact-checking him in real time, during the speech. He talked about the fictitious fraud case out of Minnesota he’s using to smear Somalis in a trumped up fraud case, to which Ilhan Omar and Rashida Talib shouted, “That’s a lie!” and “You’re a liar!”

Trump tried to trap Democrats into standing for him by saying, “If you agree with this statement, then stand up and show your support: the first duty of the American government is to protect American citizens, not illegal aliens.” The Democrats remained seated. Trump retorted: “You should be ashamed of yourself, not standing up.” But not only did they NOT stand up, Omar yelled, “You have killed Americans! You have killed Americans! You have killed Americans! You have killed Americans!”

It was a solid point. He’s NOT protecting American citizens. Is now the time to mention that the Constitution often uses the word “people” and not “citizens,” meaning the job of the US government is to protect everyone in the country? That seems relevant, too. When President Pedo claimed, “No one cares more about protecting America’s youth…” Talib interjected, “Then release the Epstein files!”

People are going to hammer on the lies so let me highlight a truth that slipped out, apparently accidentally. At one point, he said he could say “with dignity and pride that we have achieved a transformation like no one has ever seen before and a turnaround for the ages.” That’s actually true. It just isn’t good. Despite the falsehoods from MAGA media, the country was humming along when Biden left office. 47 has crashed it into the ground in record time. It really is ‘a transformation like no one has ever seen before.’

Sadly, it’s been a transformation for the worse, not the better. On the up side, I DID have “like no one has ever seen before” on my SOTU bingo card. It’s one of his favorite phrases, though, so it wasn’t much of a reach. Despite your every day, lived experience, he said everything is better. As you pay more at the grocery store, he told you you’re paying less. As your costs go up across the board, he’s telling you how much he loves that and thinks it’s great. It’s almost as if he lives in an entirely different United States than the rest of us.

My favorite part? That TCM showed the movie ‘Gaslight’ at the same time as the speech. It seemed the perfect summary of Trump and pretty much every word he says…

Epstein’s BFF is still a pervert, child-raper, though, and he’s still working as hard as possible to protect himself. People are digging pretty carefully through the Trump/Epstein information that has been released. Carefully enough, that they found a place where 50 relevant pages of information have been withheld. It’s the section where Trump stands accused – by the accuser – of raping her when she was thirteen years old.

It’s a pretty amazing coincidence that the parts they won’t release happen to be the same parts that implicate Trump. I’m sure it’s some kind of oversight. They’ll “happily” get it straightened out the very minute they’re totally forced to and have exhausted every alternative. It’s not even a matter of critical thinking, anymore. Any child knows that if those files exonerated him, he’d be waving them around in public. That same child knows that hiding the files is because the files will get him in trouble.

Trouble. I wonder what that might look like. So far, it mostly seems to mean some hyper wealthy or well connected sex pervert is going to have to get a different job. Yeah, yeah, Andrew got arrested. Not for the kid-diddling, though. Andrew got arrested for passing sensitive information to Jeffrey Epstein. Bill Gates just apologized. Gates says he didn’t do anything wrong. Maybe he didn’t, but, hell, Felon 47 says the same thing. I would REALLY like to see someone, somewhere face responsibility for they things they’ve done…

Since we’re on the topic of inappropriate sex, a House member and Republican from Texas, Tony Gonzalez, started sexually harassing one of his aides. The press is characterizing the relationship as an affair and maybe it was, but among the news articles, I read this paragraph: “The paper also published apparent text messages between Gonzales and Santos-Aviles, showing Gonzales allegedly pressured her into sending a sexually explicit photo and described graphic sex acts. Gonzales continued messaging her even after she warned her boss he was going ‘too far.'”

I don’t know, but in my experience, one does not have to “pressure” one’s lover into doing lover things. That feels more like harassment. The main part, though, is that after the interactions were discovered, the staffer fell into a deep depression and then killed herself – and MAGA Mike, the Johnson swept the thing under the rug because his margin is so small in the House. If Gonzales is forced to step down, they’re WAY too close to losing the majority.

If you’re keeping score, that’s the Republicans protecting some unknown number – let’s go with “countless” – perverts and pedophiles for political reasons and now they’re protecting a member who sexually harassed a staffer to the point of destroying her life, also for political reasons.

Even some Republican members think Gonzalez should step down or be pushed out. Johnson is far more worried about what he and his cronies can do to harm the American people and help the billionaires to risk holding anybody to any account. Sure, there’s a dead woman involved, but billionaires have a chance to keep a few thousand dollars more. Priorities, people…

Is President Pedo Losing Support?

I can’t say it surprises me, much, that people want to kill President Pedo. I can’t support political violence, but I’d be lying if I said I was surprised. (At this point, I’m looking forward to his trials. I want to see him in an orange jumpsuit. If someone succeeds at killing him, they’re robbing me of my chance. Let him watch while we tear his vile name off of everything he has slapped it on to.)

The part that DOES surprise me is that THIS intruder is reported by family members to come from “a family of Trump supporters.” So, naturally, the right has to blame the left. No, it doesn’t make any sense. Logic is opposition in MAGA land. He apparently bought the gun he brought on the way to Mar-a-Lardo where he died. (I thought there was a waiting period.) The would-be shooter’s cousin said the guy didn’t even know how to use a gun.

There’s something that bothers me about this. The shooter probably left home on his final journey on Feb 21 at around 8:00 at night. The family had missing person flyers printed up and distributed by 7:00 am on Feb 22. It was noted that the family reported the guy missing at 1:38 am, mere minutes after the shooting. The kid was 21 years old. I believe I’d think of a lot of other, more likely, possibilities before jumping to “missing person” after, literally, a couple of hours of not knowing where he was.

It causes me to think there was something going on with this kid we haven’t heard about yet AND I suspect the family has more information than they’re sharing at this time. I didn’t know cops would even TAKE a missing person report on a 21 year-old who stayed out past his curfew. The family made a pretty public show of “looking for” their “missing person.” I know, tin foil hat stuff. But it’s a pretty aggressive reaction to a rather banal occurrence. I suspect we haven’t heard all of the information yet. Stay tuned…

A massive blizzard is hitting the Northeast, with New York City expected to receive possible record-setting snowfall. That’s a miserable experience. People are being told to stay home and shelter in place. That means the only people on the streets for the next couple of days are low-paid, “essential” workers, probably cops, and – for some reason – weather reporters.

I understand people want to see the weather conditions. So point a camera out the window. Let the poor reporter do a voice-over. Nah. “Hey, Bob, that’s one hell of a snowstorm out there! I hear it will freeze your skin in about twelve seconds. How ’bout you get yourself outside for the next report?”
“Experts recommend staying indoors, there, Dan.”
“Yeah, experts like you. You’re going to recommend the same thing – from outdoors.”
It’s kind of dumb.

I hear travel is expected to be a challenge. Actually, the words I heard were “nearly impossible.” Flights are cancelled. Roads are closed. It’s a mess. I don’t mean to be smug, but it’s times like this, I’m glad I live in California. Of course, in a few months, California will likely be on fire and I’ll be less sanguine.

I blame Trump. It’s all his fault. How come Trump didn’t protect Americans from this record-setting blizzard? No, I don’t really. I just got the idea from MAGA because you just KNOW they’d be blaming Biden. But all kidding aside, it really IS awesome that Trump is pumping up global warming with his policies. I mean, we were only applying light pressure to the brakes anyway, but now his foot is firmly on the global warming accelerator and it’s pressed to the floor. That way, we can count on more and more record setting weather events. Thanks, MAGA…

Sometimes, it seems like he’s attacking the economy on purpose. The Supremely corrupt court struck down Trump’s illegal tariffs, as they should have done. The stock market started going up on the news, indicating that rich people REALLY don’t like the tariffs. So, Donny, being the mind he is, added new tariffs! At least the quality of his work remains steady. It’s horrifyingly bad, but it’s steady…

So, Jalisco, Mexico is in upheaval. The government killed a cartel leader that went by the name “El Mencho.” I checked my Spanish/English dictionary. “El Mencho” doesn’t have a specific meaning in Spanish. Apparently, it was just an alias the guy used. But in Yiddish, there’s a word; Mensch. It refers to a person of great honor and integrity.

That sounds like exactly the kind of sobriquet a drug lord might grant himself. “Yes, yes, I murder at the drop of a hat and sell a product likely to kill people and ruin lives but I’m a person of great honor and integrity.” What a Shmendrick. (Apologies. I have no business attempting humor with Yiddish.)

Mexico blew up after the killing. Violence broke out in twenty of Mexico’s thirty-one states. It’s expected the violence will continue, now, as the power vacuum needs to be filled. Will that cartel continue under new leadership or will it splinter off into new, smaller groups that now need to do battle for ultimate control? Man, the love of money really IS the root of all evil…

Quick question: do you think the Dems will show up for the State of the Union Address? I heard a suggestion that every Dem should give their seat to a Trump/Epstein survivor. I like that idea but I don’t know if it’s legal. I think just not going and having that entire side of the gallery empty would send a great message, too. It seems the whole thing will just be a waste of time, since we all know the speech he plans to give.

He’s great (of course). His work is perfect. All of the problems are someone else’s fault. Ignore your eyes, the nation is in great shape. He’s really great. Oh, and we can’t skip the standards. He was robbed in 2020, which was just so unfair and J6 was obviously a day of love. He didn’t even know his best friend, Jeffrey Epstein. He had no idea what Epstein was about and to prove it, called the police to say he knew, along with everybody else, what Epstein was about.

Everybody’s out to get him, probably because he’s so great. Any charge against him is a Democrat hoax and all of that evidence against him is made up. The SCOTUS is made up of traitors who have supported him with near-perfect reliability until they ruled against his tariffs and became horrible, disloyal human beings. How dare they enforce the Constitution instead of his awesome greatness? The world owes his poor, picked-on self a million, no a billion, no trillions of dollars because he’s so picked-on.

He’s totally great and no, he does NOT sleep during meetings. His eyelids need inspection on a regular basis and that’s all he’s doing. You call it blather, he calls it the weave. He sure is awesome and everybody wishes they were him. No, he’s not crapping his diaper in public, even though he has the same look on his face as a baby crapping their diaper where ever they happen to be. Everyone near him just randomly decided to hold their noses at the same time. Coincidence. Oh, has he mentioned he’s great?

He’s a star, you see, so they let him do it. (Apparently, “let him do it” means civil lawsuits and criminal investigations. He might not mention that part.) It’s terrible what Joe Biden did to him. Or Obama. Or Hillary. Cause he won and everybody knows he won. (He uses the “I just know it” standard and that’s a hard one to overcome.)

Let’s see, he’s perfect, everything he has done is perfect. His work is perfect. Any evidence to the contrary doesn’t count because it’s a Democrat hoax. Democrats are incompetent fools who couldn’t do anything right – except thwart him with hoaxes all day, every day. But oh, man, is he great.

I don’t know who needs to hear this, but there will always be people who accept and believe in MAGA. Look, there are Nazis running around to this day. You really can’t fix stupid. When confronted with the atrocities the Nazis were known to have committed, they do the same thing MAGA does: they lie. We’re never going to convince them they’re wrong and we just have to acknowledge that some people get lost permanently. Then again, there are going to be the Marjorie Taylor Greene’s of the world.

I think she wants to come in from the cold. And I think we should let her. No, I don’t trust her, either. Her turnaround was pretty quick and surprisingly complete, suggesting she may never have been a true MAGA. As an example, Lauren Boebert also signed on to Thomas Massey’s Discharge Petition that started the whole ‘Release the Files!’ show. Boebert also declined to back down when the White House pressured her. But that’s the end of her going her own way. She’s still crazy, more likely stupid.

She still – honestly – believes, for example, that Democrats eat babies. If you believe Democrats eat babies, you need supervision. She still believes trump might be competent at something besides theft and rape. Her belief that the Trump/Epstein files should be released is predicated on the notion that the files don’t implicate Trump in any way. (They do.)

But MTG seems to have left the whole moron act behind. And of course it was likely an act. Boebert truly believes. MTG, it seems, did not. She knew the words to say, but she didn’t believe them. Those words curried favor with a crowd she needed to get into Congress. Honestly, that makes her more dangerous. More scheming. More conniving. But, she’s also a hell of a fighter.

We’ve done it before. Michael Cohen was Donald Trump’s “fixer.” Now he’s a darling on the left and shows up on lefty podcasts all the time. Going back, David Brock was a gay writer who wrote hit pieces against the left. Cons ignored his sexuality so long as he did. But when, out of curiosity (according to him) he wrote a balanced piece on Hillary, the right suddenly noticed he’s gay and drummed him off of the team.

So, he switched sides and started ‘Media Matters for America.’ Now he’s described as “an American liberal political consultant.” Not every convert needs to be so impactful. The point is only that sometimes, scales fall from people’s eyes. When that happens, there has to be a place for them to come home to…

Man, I’ve spent a great deal of time discussing the value and application of ICE here in Bizarro America with MAGA. Over the last year, every single one of their talking points has proven false. Not because I’ve said so, but because facts on the ground keep betraying them. At this point, I’m pretty sure there’s not one single talking point left that stands up to scrutiny.

The worst of the worst? Most often, not even here illegally. Responsible agents? Not even capable agents. Illegal drugs? While releasing the guy who brought 400 TONS of cocaine into the US? Uh-huh. Honestly, the only excuse, er, “explanation” left intact? Bigotry. I’ll tell you this: I thought the red hat might become a symbol of hatred, to be feared. Instead, it has become something of a new kind of dunce cap…

Okay, so, stay with me, here. The corrupt SCOTUS struck down Felon 47’s tariffs. 47, of course, threw a fit and decided to “punish” the court by illegally imposing even more taxes on the American people, first a 10% tariff increase which he raised to 15% by the end of the day. But then, I started hearing about corporations lining up to get “refunds.” Lawsuits have already been filed so the corporations can “recover” the tariff money “they paid.”

Here’s the thing, though. THEY didn’t pay it. Consumers did. That’s how sales and value-added taxes work. A tax is put on a product, the cost of the tax is passed on to the consumer, and the price of the product goes up accordingly. Corporations collect the tax from their customers at the register, then they send the money in to the government who, in this case, steals it and shoves it into their own greedy pockets. The corporation is simply a pass-through from consumer to government.

When you think about it, there’s no realistic way for the government to get the tariff money stolen from me back into my pocket. But that truth generates another reality: why should the corporation get a “refund?” Okay, so they take a dollar from me and pass it along to the government. The tax (tariff) is struck down as illegal but when the money gets returned, it only goes back to the corporation, not the consumer who parted with the dollar in the first place?

I’m actually against the refund, since it will go to the wrong people. Besides, the striking down of the tariffs will NOT be reflected in lower prices so the corporations are still getting an unearned windfall just from the policy. They don’t deserve the added benefit of a “refund” on something THEY never paid…

I’ve seen this meme floating around that reminds people that Donald Trump will sue anybody over anything, most especially if he doesn’t like something you said. At the same time, Donald Trump hasn’t sued one person for calling him a pedophile. Nobody. Nada. Watch:

Alright in my case, I have to acknowledge that he’s never heard of me nor my little blog and likely doesn’t know I just wrote he is a pedophile but we all know it wouldn’t make a difference. If he files suit, the first thing that happens is discovery. Full, unredacted discovery. He, simply, cannot have that. Not in this case.

He DID file suit against the ‘Wall Street Journal’ over that birthday card to his best friend, Jeffrey Epstein. He’s been trying to back away from it ever since. The Journal’s owner, Rupert Murdoch has just filed a response asking for the case to be dismissed because, as the filing says, Trump is too lewd a person to suffer reputational harm from this story.

Trump has bought his way out of every problem he’s ever faced, but we all know adversity builds character. Trump has never faced adversity of any kind. That pretty much indicates an almost perfect lack of character and Trump’s constant and endless claims of his own greatness and grandeur are overcompensation for what Trump knows about himself. He’s a terrible person who has done, and still does, terrible things. He’s terrified someone might find out and the facade he has worked so hard for so long to create will just crumble and vanish. Many of us are not fooled to begin with…

News has emerged that in 2006, Trump called the city’s police chief when sex crime charges against Epstein in Palm Beach became public, and said, “Thank goodness you’re stopping him, everyone has known he’s been doing this.” Team Evil is using that to support their lies. “See? He was opposed to Epstein!”

Well, first, I “see” that he DID know all about Epstein and Epstein’s activities, meaning he’s lying NOW about having never known Epstein or about Epstein’s activities. In fact, I suspect such a phone call was attempted “inoculation.” He wanted to get out in front of any charges that might come his way over his participation in the scheme. One quick little phone call gave him plausible deniability in the moment. Yes, the dotard is losing his mind, which confuses the whole situation, but Trump is evil, not stupid…
