Well, did it work? Is he out? No? Okay, not yet, but is he leaving? No? Well, has he at least seen the error of his ways and promised to change? No, again? Yeah, I was afraid of that. I wouldn’t exactly call it a wash-out, though. Millions of people across the country came together to stand in solidarity against the abuses, excesses, and corruption of the current regime. Decent people hate that guy.

It’s a good visual. There are photos of protests from sea to shining sea with people shoulder to shoulder. Team Evil seemed to fear the event. They tried to smear participants before the fact by calling potential protestors all kinds of terrible names. Well, “terrible” to them. Antifa? Why yes, thank you, I DO oppose fascism. Marxists? I’d bet not. Un-American? No, those are the creeps dismantling our government, those who can’t wait to bend the knee to a king. It’s a classic example of the pot calling the kettle black.

In Southern California, Donny decided to have the marines stage a war game, complete with live fire over I-5. The marines said the live fire wouldn’t affect the highway but California closed it for a time anyway. The demonstration was said to celebrate the 250th anniversary of the Marines but that date wasn’t yesterday’s date. The 250th anniversary of the Marines is November 10. Apparently, they even failed ‘reading a calendar’ in school.

I haven’t heard about too much (any, really) violence at the protests. I imagine if I tune in MAGA media I’ll see nothing BUT violence at the protests – even if the visuals for the “violence at the protests” comes from other protests and around the world. Faking it is easy for MAGA media. They’ll show footage of J6 rioters and insist the pictures represent out-of-control lefties at No Kings, things like that.

Where violence DID occur, it seems to have been instigated by government. ICEholes in Portland, Oregon, for example, deployed tear gas at a protest outside their office. That wasn’t even an official ‘No Kings’ protest, though. That was the other Portland protest that’s been going on since The Felon deployed the National Guard to Portland because it was a “war zone,” his demented mind unable to discern what an actual war zone looks like.

I don’t mean to go all dark, here, but it seems the protests didn’t DO much. Sure, we got to enjoy some solidarity and demonstrate our anger at – and, dare I say – hatred of the Orange Moron. They KNOW we hate them. They don’t care. They KNOW we disapprove of their constant assaults on Americans and their overall failures. They don’t care. They KNOW Americans don’t want a king. They don’t care. I don’t think this chaos ends with marches and inspirational speeches…

Huh. Who would have guessed? Didn’t Donny say this was over? Does he ever get anything right? I saw a headline in the Guardian this morning, ‘Gaza cease fire under pressure as Israeli army carries out airstrikes in Rafah.’ As nearly as I can tell, Israel pretty much hasn’t stopped shooting. At all. It looked promising for a minute as the hostages were exchanged, but that’s the Middle East: never promising for more than a minute. Good job, God!

Describing the ceasefire as “under pressure” when one side has ceased ceasing – never really ceased at all, actually – is pretty hopeful wording. Well, at least the hostages are home. But somehow, 47 always fails up. Somehow, this not-entirely-a-surprise collapse of the ceasefire might better position him for the Nobel Peace Prize he so desperately wants. No, I don’t get it, either. The only explanation I can think of is always the same: the devil takes care of his own…

Remember Luigi Mangione? He’s the guy who murdered the pharmacy exec, Brian Thompson. There was some pretty loud celebrating at the equity of the attack until we collectively remembered, “Oh, yeah, murder is bad.” I suspect Mangione still enjoys low-key, but widespread support. There’s a reality to the idea that, yeah, the CEO doesn’t kill with a gun. That doesn’t mean his choices don’t kill people. Mangione’s actions were just less random and more focused.

Mangione’s family isn’t exactly destitute but they don’t have as much money as the Thompson’s. ‘When a lesser wealth kills a greater wealth, the book shall be thrown with full and unrelenting force.’ That’s a teaching from the Book of Mark. No, not the Biblical one, the me one. Punishment for crime is always enhanced when the victim comes from the upper classes. In keeping with that truth, Mangione has been charged with everything they could think of, then a few more things they made up just to really, really get the guy. They want to kill him right back.

Well, guess what? Mangione’s lawyers have filed to dismiss the indictment altogether, citing “false, damaging, public statements” made by Pam Bondi and New York City Mayor Eric Adams. They argued that at the very least the death penalty should be off the table, arguing that the staged, “Marvel movie” style perk walk on December 19 – “with dozens of agents needed to protect the public from the shackled monster Mangione” – “violated Mangione’s right to due process such that this death penalty case should be dismissed.”

Team Evil is just trying to whip up some support, of course, but their ongoing incompetence might be their own undoing when it comes to their eye-for-an-eye attitude…

MAGA Mike, the Johnson, STILL hasn’t sworn in Adelita Grijalva, the Arizona Democrat elected three weeks ago. His lie is that he can’t. The shutdown needs to end, first, he says. The truth is, he won’t. And if he can find a way to keep from swearing her in AFTER the shutdown ends, he’ll do that, too.

MAGA has been running roughshod over the Constitution and the Democrats since January. There is precious little the Dems can do to stop them. THIS shutdown is pretty much the only chance they have to effect change in policy. Their votes are the only leverage they have and they’re withholding their votes until Team Evil relents on taking health insurance away from millions of people.

So, right NOW, the evil GOP is pretending Grijalva is their leverage. “We’ll swear in your member when the government re-opens, so drop your opposition to our evil plans.” MAGA Mike, the Johnson even suggested the Grijalva should just get to work representing her constituents. He fails to mention that it would be illegal for her to ACT as a Representative when she hasn’t been sworn in as a Representative.

Arizona is putting together a lawsuit in an effort to force the Johnson to swear in their representative. Americans still seem to believe the Constitution applies and according to that Constitution, Arizona has a legal right to full representation in congress. The Johnson is denying them that right.

MAGA Mike is trying to blow the whole thing off. “She has nothing, whatsoever, to do with what’s happening in Congress,” he lies. You see, she does. Adelita Grijalva represents the 218th signature on Rep Massie’s Petition for Discharge, forcing a vote on releasing the Epstein Files. At that point, the GOP has to go on formal record protecting their pet pervert pedophile – not to mention, apparently, themselves – from exposure in those files.

So far, in a desperate effort to keep from facing that vote, the Johnson has dismissed the House entirely – as though they have nothing to do – and refused to swear in a duly elected Representative from a red state. One could almost call their united front impressive – if only it weren’t being used to defend trump from his involvement with child sex trafficking and molestation. The things some people will overlook…
