Our Own President Camacho…

DING! Round 2. Elon and Donny are back at each other’s throats. It’s kind of funny. Elon doesn’t like the Big Boneheaded Bill any more than anybody else. He’s losing a mandate that forces everyone to buy electric cars. From what I hear, he has some kind of interest in electric cars.

When the bro-spat first erupted, Elon ended up declaring that Donny is in the Epstein files. Then he realized he had gone too far and backed down. 47 doesn’t strike me as the ‘live and let live’ type. He seems more like the ‘wait until he’s not looking and then strike from behind’ type. But it had looked like things were going to calm down, a serious hit to all the popcorn I had laid in for the ‘Boneheaded Bros Battle Royale.’

Then the wasteful spending bill that does so much harm to so many moved through Congress even as Congress critters came out talking about how much they hated it and what a bad bill it is and what terrible, terrible human beings they are. I may have added that last one. They know it, they just don’t say it out loud.

As the thing was “mysteriously,” but successfully, moved through Congress by the GOP, and ONLY the GOP, even though GOP members couldn’t stand it, Elon came alive again and issued a warning that he would remove any Congress critter who voted for the Bill. He said he was going to start a new political party.

The evil and destructive bill is now an evil and destructive law and Elon declared he IS starting a new party, ‘The America Party.’ He says he wants to challenge the Democrat and Republican ‘Uniparty.’ If it’s anything like his cars or his rockets, I expect fire.

But Donny has suggested he might deport Musk. He also pointed out that maybe Musk’s old team of destruction, DOGE, should take a look at Musk’s contracts and subsidies. It’s curious, isn’t it, that they failed to do so the first time through?

Long term, I expect The First Felon to win this. Elon has lots of money but 47 has the power and rapidly squandering resources of the US government. But at least all of that popcorn isn’t going to waste…

Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick had to step in to save him and turn the comment into something English-speaking people might understand. Donny seems like he needs handlers more and more when he’s out in public. It seems there’s nearly always someone standing nearby to turn his word salads into something – anything – useful…

“I want my vote back.” That’s a quote from a one-time supporter of Team Evil, a dude named Francisco Olivera. He’s a US citizen (condolences) but his wife is not. She’s Canadian. She was trying to get a Green Card. She was taken into custody by ICE AT a Green Card interview. She was in the country illegally, generally a civil violation BUT, she had been removed once and came back. Apparently, that’s a felony. Maybe she gets to be President now?

No, she’s being deported. For clarity, she had been navigating the system and had received permission to stay in the US pending her processing, so she had legal status at the time she was taken into custody, and there is no record of any other crimes. She and her Drumpfster supporting husband are really surprised and bummed out.

The woman, Cynthia Olivera, said from the detention facility while fighting back tears, “The only crime I committed is to love this country and to work hard and to provide for my kids.” Nope. You aligned yourself with Team Evil, a far worse crime…

I thought President Dwayne Elizondo Mountain Dew Herbert Camacho was just a fictional character from the movie ‘Idiocracy,’ but he might as well be our current leader, the same quality of “person,” who wants to hold a UFC fight on the grounds of the White House. Maybe the Lincoln bedroom?

Donny is just boorish enough to do it, too. UFC fights at the White House? Next thing you know, he’s going to want to water crops with ‘Brawndo,’ because it has what plants crave. It has electrolytes! The Drumpfster is just an embarrassment…

If you haven’t seen ‘Idiocracy,’ you should. It borders on the absurd but it’s mildly amusing. The guy who made it, Mike Judge, said he thought he was making a silly little comedy. He didn’t realize he was making a documentary, but he did. It highlights exactly what stupid and embarrassing looks like. Pretty much the only part Judge got wrong? The President’s name…

‘Christian’ or ‘Nationalist?’ One Cannot Be Both…

Despite being the First Speaker of the Doctrine of Universal Harmony, I’m not much on theology. In my mind, “theology” and “wild guess” are interchangeable terms. Philosophy, though, is a different story. I very much appreciate philosophy and I have noticed that pretty much all religions center around people who have simply pulled together positive philosophies and tried to get people to understand and follow them. The philosophies, not the people. The people who insist they be followed, instead of the message, are usually cult leaders.

For reasons I can never understand, so-called Christian Nationalists are forever pushing to have a specific element of Jewish law placed in every classroom in the country. Forget separation of church and state, post some Jewish law in every classroom. My suspicion is that, AS Christian Nationalists, they’re far less “Christian” and far MORE “Nationalist,” so they don’t much care which part of the Bible gets posted, just so long as they’re being very publicly seen to be “Christian.” You know, -ish. “Christian-ish.”

If I were the teacher, which I’m not (you’re welcome), I would teach those Ten Commandments and I would take advantage of a walking, talking embodiment of how NOT to live them, Donald J. Trump. Here, I’ll show you.

  1. Thou shall have no other gods before me. (Exodus 20:3)
    First Felon 47 is forever saying that only HE can fix this or that. Oh, really? In so saying, he’s elevating himself above God. Only 47 can fix it? GOD can’t fix it? Only 47? His words, not mine…
  2. Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven images. (Exodus 20:4-6)
    Have you seen the golden statue of Donny that was floating around CPAC? There is at least one photograph of a man seeming to worship the image. How is that NOT a graven image? Just to be sure, though, in an AI generated vision of what Gaza could look like if only the Palestinians weren’t there, he included a golden statue of himself…
  3. Thou shalt not take the name of the Lord thy God in vain. (Exodus 20:7)
    I’ve always held that taking the Lord’s name in vain is not cussing but, rather, using the name of God for your own purposes. Televangelists do it all the time. So does Donny.
  4. Remember the Sabbath day and keep it holy. (Exodus 20:8-11)
    On most any weekend, you’ll find Donny on a golf course, not in a church. He does nothing to keep the Sabbath holy. More, the use of the word ‘Sabbath’ indicates the Jewish nature of the Ten Commandments as ‘The Sabbath’ generally refers to the period from Friday evening when the Shabbat candles are lit, until Saturday evening…
  5. Honor your father and mother. (Exodus 20:12)
    This is a tough one. Did you hear about the time 47 tried to steal all of his father’s money? Dad got word of the scheme and put an end to it, but Donny tried, in earnest, to steal his parent’s money. On the one hand, stealing your parent’s money cannot be seen as honoring your parents. On the other hand, stealing from one’s parents is exactly the kind of person he was raised to be. In making the attempt, it could be said that Donny was “honoring” his parents, but the Doctrine of Universal Harmony holds that there IS no honorable way to commit a crime. Trying to steal their money dishonored them…
  6. Thou shalt not murder. (Exodus 20:13)
    Covid-19. Do I need to say more? His feckless, failed handling of the pandemic killed countless people and it all happened because he made choices. BAD choices. He made choices for political gain, knowing people would die. I call that murder…
  7. Thou shalt not commit adultery. (Exodus 20:14)
    The boy cheats on everyone. He cheated on his first wife, Ivana, with his second wife, Marla. He cheated on his second wife, Marla, with his third wife, Melania. He cheated on his third wife, Melania, with two other women that we know of, Stormy Daniels and Karen McDougal. There are at least 17 other women who claim they had affairs with him, too…
  8. Thou shalt not steal. (Exodus 20:15)
    Generally speaking, my assessment of Donny is that if he’s awake, he’s stealing something but, in fairness, that’s just a general impression from loose talk. All other possible observations aside, 47 has been convicted in a court of law for stealing. 34 times…
  9. Thou shall not bear false witness against your neighbor. (Exodus 20:16)
    Bearing false witness is Bible talk for lying. This is a bit hyperbolic, but I believe Donny lies more than he tells the truth. I’m not sure when I last heard him utter a truthful word. Lies spew from his mouth so easily, it seems as easy for him as breathing. I think of Donny as the father of lies…
  10. Thou shall not covet your neighbor. (Exodus 20:17)
    47 proudly and publicly covets anything someone has that he wants. A great big airplane? He wants it. Oh, that guy gets military parades? I want a military parade! In stories, the best depiction of Donny is found in Veruca Salt, the greedy, covetous little girl from ‘Charlie and the Choclate Factory.’

Of course, it would be important to emphasize that the Ten Commandments are elements of Jewish law. I know Judaism was the basis of Christianity but Christ brought a new message, a message that was less eye-for-an-eye and more turn-the-other cheek. I prefer the Beatitudes, the teachings of Jesus to his apostles during the Sermon on the Mount. He started his sermon with them.

Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
Blessed are they who mourn, for they will be comforted.
Blessed are the meek, for they will inherit the land.
Blessed are they who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they will be satisfied.
Blessed are the merciful, for they will be shown mercy.
Blessed are the clean in heart, for they will see God.
Blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called children of God.
Blessed are they who are persecuted for the sake of righteousness, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.

Then, just to drive the point home, I would post Matthew 25:35-40, The Parable of the Sheep and Goats. You know the one. That’s the one where Jesus explains who gets into Heaven and who doesn’t, and why: “For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in, 36 I needed clothes and you clothed me, I was sick and you looked after me, I was in prison and you came to visit me.’

37 “Then the righteous will answer him, ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry and feed you, or thirsty and give you something to drink? 38 When did we see you a stranger and invite you in, or needing clothes and clothe you? 39 When did we see you sick or in prison and go to visit you?’

40 “The King will reply, ‘Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.’

Today’s so-called ‘Christian Nationalists’ don’t even seem to know that part is in the Bible or they’ve chosen to ignore it as inconvenient. It certainly does NOT comport with their “Deport ’em all” attitude. Once the people who forced me to post the Ten Commandments learned I had posted MORE than that, I feel pretty certain I’d be forced to take down the Beatitudes and the Matthew 25 parable. They wouldn’t want the actual teachings of Jesus to interfere with their Christian pretense…

Republican Integrity? THAT Explains A Lot…

What, you thought something different might happen? The only way something different might have happened is if enough Republicans demonstrated integrity. But, ‘Republican integrity’ is mostly an oxymoron. You should have KNOWN the worst would happen when the only stopgap was ‘Republican integrity.’ Besides, of course Donny was going to win. Who can stop the Antichrist? He has been given dominion for 42 months. You thought you could change that by hoping?

“A mouth was given to him speaking arrogant words and blasphemies, and authority to act for forty-two months was given to him.” (Revelations 13:5) That’s 3 years and 6 months. If we begin on January 20, 2025 – and we did, like it or not – it ends July 20, 2028. That date is an estimate, of course.

They had to give Lisa Murkowski of Alaska all kinds of exemptions to get her vote. Then, GOP members of the House withheld their vote on procedure in “protest” of the thing. The Felon made promises about using Executive Orders to “fix” bits the rank and file don’t like. They accepted a verbal promise from Donald Trump! When has anybody ever suffered from that? They think SO highly of their killer bill, they put off certain provisions until AFTER the mid-terms, believing that they’ll face backlash and fury at the ballot box if they don’t.

One thing is certain: since not one Democrat voted for it, this bill, now law, belongs entirely to the Republicans. Maybe that’s a good thing for them. Maybe the law will do all the things they promised and make America great again, despite the fact that even THEY think this new law stinks. If it does, they get all the glory. They were the visionaries and Democrats were the fools. But they DID go to an awful lot of trouble to delay the evil effects of their handiwork as long as they could. That says something.

From an article in the Guardian called “Trump’s Medicaid Cuts Are Coming To Rural Americans: ‘It’s Going To Have To Hit Them first:'” “Congressional Republicans in favor of the bill argue it targets “waste, fraud and abuse.” However, it is already well-known that most Medicaid beneficiaries who can work do, and that Medicaid is one of the most cost-efficient health programs in the US, according to the American Hospital Association.”

So, really, the GOP is just cutting off health insurance to vulnerable Americans – blue AND red – just to give tax breaks to rich people. And, yes, the lower classes get tax breaks, too. They’re much smaller, they mostly expire, and the lower down the economic class you go, the more their cost of living is going to increase. Whatever pittance they see in tax cuts will be far more than offset by the increase.

The image I walk away with? They’re so effing giddy. I know MAGA rank and file have been mislead on this thing. At this point, they think this has all just been an exercise in fiscal prudence. But the MAGA at the top are NOT the MAGA best described as “poorly educated.” The MAGA at the top know exactly what damage they’re doing to so many people – and they’re happy. They’re celebrating. Donny described it as “the best two weeks.” He bombed Iran and damaged the lives of millions of Americans. HE is having “the best two weeks.”

MAGA media had better start right now, ripping Joe Biden over this terrible bill and expressing their outrage that the Democrats might do such a thing. I mean, when the chickens come home to roost, we ALL know that’s the play. Rip Joe Biden for it and blame the Democrats. All of MAGA, celebrating their great success today, will, nevertheless, eventually know this was a terrible thing Joe Biden did, just terrible…

Remember, the team that told you this new law will be great for everybody ALSO told you climate change is fake news. Officials are currently looking for bodies from unexpected amounts of rainfall that caused flash floods in Texas. The Guadeloupe River rose 26ft in just 45 minutes. Nobody saw it coming, even though the region is used to flooding. This flooding struck before dawn. For some reason, the most current weather forecast didn’t say anything.

Oh, by the way and perhaps apropos of nothing, you DO recall that an effect of the DOGE cuts to the National Weather Service (NWS) was to cut off local nighttime forecasting, right? Money they needed got called “waste” and was cut off. The NWS had to cut somewhere.

You know the saying, “just because you don’t believe in climate change, doesn’t mean climate change doesn’t believe in you…”

Hey, isn’t he ALSO the person who said, repeatedly, that he would end Russia’s war on Ukraine in one day? He said it would be so easy, he would get it done before the inauguration, right? The inauguration was a little over five months ago (and he’s already done SO MUCH damage). Russia’s war rages on and Putin intends to KEEP it going. Now 47 is said to be disappointed in Putin. Aren’t we all? But perhaps the Felon should have spoken with Putin before promising he would end the war in one day. He might have known that wars don’t end just because some blowhard says, “Look, you son-of-a-bitch…”

Damage Being Done…

So…the next time you’re wondering why your favorite MAGA doesn’t seem to care that nearly 12 million people are expected to lose their health care as a direct result of Donny’s Devastating Bill, bear in mind – they don’t know it. According to Ground News, MAGA media isn’t telling them about it at all. They’re just…not mentioning it. If it DOES get mentioned, claims always insist the GOP is just cutting fraud, waste, and abuse.

THAT, to me, is the reason thinking Americans should stay in contact with MAGA. And we shouldn’t be smug. If American media can simply black out such important information on their side of the dial, what important information is being blacked out on OUR side of the dial? It’s a fair question.

I HAVE seen polls showing that approval for the devastating bill is around 20% on the right. MAGA always makes up a solid 30% and sometimes reaches as high as 34%. If approval is as low as 20%, even MAGA (those who know) disapprove of this thing.

So, how bad IS this bill? Lisa Murkowski voted for it, just as I predicted. BUT, she first extracted what is essentially an exemption for her state for most of the most egregious elements. She voted that pain for others, but not her own. Nice morals, there, lady. Oh, AND the GOP has built in a delayed trigger for many of the more heinous aspects of the thing. Most of the worst of it gets pushed off until AFTER the mid-terms.

The GOP knows – they KNOW – this anti-American abomination is going to hurt so many people they wouldn’t stand a chance at the ballot box if the provisions kick in before the mid-terms so they pushed it. That leaves the Dems trying to pin future results to the GOP with estimates and projections. The GOP has only to claim the Dems are Chicken Little and assure their base the sky isn’t falling. Then the “election” takes place. THEN, the sky falls.

MAGA media is surely ramping up a “Biden did this” campaign to quell the anger generated in the red states as people – MAGA included – begin to lose health care insurance and food stamp aid and other forms of support so many are forced to rely upon here in the Richest Nation on Earth™. (It turns out, we only have that title because we have the richest rich people. Take THEM out of the equation and the American standard of living is nowhere near the highest on the planet. In fact, we hover near the bottom of developed nations.)

I’ve also seen a quote from Marjorie Taylor Greene saying this is “not a House bill, it’s not a Senate bill, it’s the American people’s bill.” Uh-huh. This is the GOP’s bill. The Democrats don’t want it. The majority of the American people don’t want it. Many MAGA don’t want it. It seems like none of the GOP members want it. They’ll VOTE for it, but they don’t want to. The GOP is going to pass this thing and then spend the next year and a half trying to convince voters it wasn’t them.

Especially since it appears nobody knows what’s actually in this thing. I keep hearing reports from various GOP members – AFTER they provide their yes vote – that they didn’t know this or that provision was even in there. “Oh, if I had known THAT was in there I would have…” Yeah, voted for it. Just like you were told to. It’s cute, you acting like you have a spine but we all see you doing exactly as you’re told and ONLY as you’re told. I swear to God, I’ve never seen a more compliant group of toadies in my life.

I DO like the fact that this abomination passed the Senate 51-50. (JD Vance had to cast the tie-breaking vote.) In California, 5150 is code talk for a crazy person and this bill certainly IS insanity. Now it is back in the House where they’re trying like hell to pass the thing, even though many Republicans in Congress don’t seem to want to. They had a procedural vote, usually normal stuff. It should have been a quick vote and move on – but it wasn’t. The GOP had to find some way to bribe or threaten those members so they would vote the “right way.”

Which is the point, of course. These are not true holdouts. They’re negotiating. They want a little extra for themselves. In the end, the GOP – and I mean, the GOP alone – will pass this thing. there will be no help from the Democrats. This is a classic one-party vote of a one-party government. Remember when cons called that a bad thing?

The conservatives I talk to all say the same thing: they’re just cutting fraud, waste, and abuse and the final law won’t hurt anybody. Literally everyone else says otherwise. I tend to disregard the input of those who stand to benefit directly from their own actions. I tend to listen to people who are more objective and the more objective crowd has nothing but concerns about the damage being done…

Can somebody PLEASE explain to me the morality of the GOP cutting off Medicaid to millions of struggling, working-class Americans for literally NO reason other than to give people who already have more money than they know what to do with…even more? Explain it to me like I’m a child.

How is it NOT Robin Hood in reverse? How are they NOT robbing from the poor to give to the rich? The numbers have moved, a bit, but the best number, right now, suggests this class theft will ALSO add $3.3 trillion dollars to the national debt. The GOP used to pretend that bothered them. Now? Not so much. After all, they can just lie about it. NOTHING shows one’s dedication to honor and the truth like having to lie about the results of their dishonor.

Despite conservative rhetoric, people on Medicaid NEED Medicaid. People with more money than they can spend in a lifetime do not NEED a tax cut. This bill the GOP is ramming through Congress, using procedural trumpery, wholly disregards needs just to satisfy the desires of greed, and it will hurt millions. Expect an increase in poverty. Expect an increase in illnesses. Expect an increase in deaths. Expect an increase in crime. Desperate times call for desperate measures, you know.

Yeah, yeah, I know, there are things in there for the little guy, too. Temporary things. Little things. Candy sprinkles trying to make a pile of crap more palatable. Shiny baubles designed to deceive the gullible. Lucy, holding the football. “You come running up and kick it, Charlie Brown.” Oh, hey, here comes MAGA now. It’s a bait-and-switch. “We’ll give you a .10 cent break today that ends tomorrow if you let us have a $20 break today that extends to forever. How is THAT not fair?”

Oh, and DO NOT try to pretend the tax cuts will “stimulate investment.” We, the people, have been handed that line again and again for over forty years. We’ve seen lots and lots of tax cuts. We’ve seen so many tax cuts, we’re now cutting off vital government services and taking aid away from struggling working class Americans all over the country just to pay for them. The national debt has ballooned into a monster of rich people’s making. We have YET to see any investment being stimulated.

Make no mistake, I know this abomination is going to pass. The GOP is using special rules to bypass the normal procedure. They KNOW they couldn’t get it past the Democrats using the normal rules, so they’ve jettisoned the rules. Lovely. When you have to “adjust” the rules, just so you can pass a law that you KNOW harms millions and millions of Americans, it should make it difficult to look oneself in the mirror, you know? But it won’t. The toadies will sleep just fine – on a bed stuffed with working class money.

To be sure, you’ll hear bitching and moaning from the usual suspects. Lisa Murkowski will express grave misgivings before voting for the bill. Susan Collins will be against it before voting for it. Thom Tillis will, well, with a hat tip to him, he says he’s going to quit congress so he can stand against this bill. Apparently honor still exists – but it WILL BE purged! Tillis is standing for his constituents – and the First Felon WILL NOT have it. If you’re a person interested in doing the right thing, there is no room for you in MAGAmerica.

That says a LOT about MAGAmerica, doesn’t it? Pretty much everything you need to know, in fact. These are immoral people and they’re running the show. There is no room for compassion. There is no room for empathy. There is no room for decency or decorum. The wealthiest members of the GOP are now, literally, reaching into the pockets of the poor to take anything they can find. They’re actively taking your last, shiny penny so they can throw it on top of a pile already so high they can’t see the top.

JFK’s words just keep ringing, louder and louder, in my ears. “When you make peaceful revolution impossible, you make violent revolution inevitable.” Robin Hood is a folk hero because, according to the story, he was the son of wealth who stood and fought for poor people, people who couldn’t stand for themselves. This reverse Robin Hood act of the GOP brings America’s enemies into the open. And JFK’s words just keep getting louder…

Mourning the Fourth…

I won’t be celebrating our Independence Day this year. Or any year, for that matter. Our Independence Day, the Fourth of July, was a day celebrating the founding of a new country – a country that no longer exists on this planet. Oh, sure, you can go to a map and find a landmass outlined in heavy black ink with the words ‘United States of America’ carefully stenciled in the middle. But the United States wasn’t the land. It wasn’t the people. It was the Constitution, and, clearly, the US Constitution no longer applies.

I submit that one cannot find even a single aspect of the US Constitution that remains in place. Some will say, “Oh, the 2nd Amendment” but even THAT is corrupted from the original intent. Some people decided that only half of the sentence “counts.” The other half of the same sentence is some distant, unknowable thing.

One might point to the very structure of government. THAT still exists, right? I’d say no. It still LOOKS like we have three separate, but equal branches of government, but they all toady up to the one branch. The whole point of the three-branch government was checks and balances, but the “checks” part has been willfully abdicated and the only thing that matters to the GOP is making one branch happier and more powerful.

I peg the end of the United States of America of the founder’s dream to the corrupt Citizens United “decision” handed down by the Roberts Supremely Corrupt Kangaroo Court in 2010. It was couched in all kinds of legalese but once all the b.s. is burned away, it basically said it was okay for rich people to buy the government – and they did. We’re no longer living in the nation “of the people, by the people, and for the people” that Lincoln described. Now we live in something else – and it sucks. MAGAmerica more closely resembles the country the founders fought a war to get away from.

Hell, the reason the Democrats won’t come up with any effective response while actively sidelining other Democrats who actually have ideas for change is because the Democrats are being paid by the same people who pay the Republicans: the rich. If they do as they’re told – talk tough but lose – they keep their jobs. If they stand up to do the honorable and moral thing, they’re out.

I had hoped for more. I had hoped that as people saw the reality of our descent into authoritarianism, they would hit the streets the way the French hit the streets to protect their own lifestyle. I had hoped that when faced with a choice of fight or acquiesce, we would fight. Sadly, we chose acquiesce. Like most of the world, I’ve been very dismayed. Americans used to pride themselves on their revolutionary spirit.

But we became complacent. Ironically, we became complacent through voting. All of my life, I’ve understood that if a “mistake” happens and we get a bad politician, we just vote him out in the next election. We could put up with just about anything because we had a next election. We “get him at the ballot box.” All of my life, that worked. As of this writing, that is, FAR too late, I STILL hear people suggesting this is an anomaly that will be corrected by election. It’s automatic. They can’t help themselves.

“What do the Democrats need to do?” “Oh, we’ll come out at the mid-terms and change the makeup of Congress. THAT will stop it.” “Oh, Donny will have done his second term. He can’t run again, so we’ll fix it then.” Quaint. Elections in this once-great nation haven’t been honest since the introduction of voting machines and the “election” of 2024 was corrupted and manipulated in ways American citizens (ARE we still citizens?) aren’t used to.

From that point (2024) going forward, the outcome of “elections” will be dictated by the wealthy who benefit. Every decent, right-minded person in the nation will come out to change the makeup of Congress in the next mid-terms – but nothing will change. Astoundingly, the GOP will retain control of Congress. In fact, I predict (always dangerous) that the GOP will increase it’s control, despite the damage they’re about to inflict on the vast majority of Americans through Donny’s Big Barfy Bill. I can’t TELL you how much I hope I’m wrong about that – but I’m not.

Worse, if he’s still alive, Trump will “win” the next Presidential “election,” too – very likely with something like 94% of the vote. (Dictators always seem to think that winning by 94% shows they are beloved and popular. In fact, it always proves the votes were manipulated.) Even as you read that, you think to yourself, “No, only two terms.” You can’t help yourself. It’s the way we were raised. But it doesn’t apply anymore.

Waiting for the next election means time passes. We sit on our hands, outraged at the trespasses, and time passes. But while we, the people are awaiting the next election, the powers that be are consolidating and perfecting their control. Our patience, our faith in our system, facilitates our downfall.

I referred to some of this as a “prediction” but it isn’t really a prediction. I’m not looking forward. I’m looking back. I’m looking at history. This is an old story. We just didn’t expect it here, in the US. History says bloodshed will be the inevitable result. The only real question is: how long?

The Nazis so-called ‘Third Reich’ lasted twelve years – something less than the one thousand years they had promised and expected. But in those twelve years, they did unimaginable and unconscionable damage. It took 60 million to 80 million deaths to correct THAT error. We have that as our exemplar. We KNOW how this plays out. What are we waiting for? Yeah, the next “election.”

The US is, after all, the most well-armed nation on the planet. We may be the most well-armed nation in the history of the planet. So, how long will it be before people get angry enough to rise up and take back their power? The One Percent are betting it will be a long time. I doubt even out-of-control greedheads would seize absolute power if they knew that in, say, 18 months they would meet a guillotine. Sure, they know that SOMEDAY, their progeny will face guillotines, but they don’t think it will be them. THEY get to enjoy the good life, the life of aristocracy.

“For the love of money is the root of all evil.” (1 Timothy 6:10) I mention it because, when all is said and done, this is and has been about greed. Avarice, if you’re looking to the Seven Deadly sins. Greed for money, greed for power. Pure, unadulterated, uncontrolled greed. MAGAmerica is made up of three levels: the rich and powerful on the highest level, their toadies and bootlickers on the second level, and the rest of us – those of us on the bottom level, the vast majority of the American people – are victims.

So I’m going to take a pass on celebrating our Independence Day for a lost nation and look to the NEW Independence Day, the day we shuffle off this abomination and return to a rule of law and democracy. Yes, it was messy, but it was better. Much, much better…

I’ve noticed the cons are trying to attack AOC as something less than intelligent – despite the fact that she regularly runs rings around them. One of the things they highlight is that she was a bartender before running for Congress. That’s it. She was a bartender. What could SHE know?

I used to debate a right-leaning woman on issues in social media. She seems to have disappeared recently. She probably decided I’m irredeemable. But she used to try to denigrate me by pointing to the fact that I own a swimming pool service. That’s how I make my living, so I must be a dumb-dumb.

I think it speaks VOLUMES that they attack what people do for a living as evidence of intelligence. The GOP genuinely has no respect for the working class or they wouldn’t try to use it as a put-down…

Bobby Sherman has passed, aged 81. When I was a kid, it was possible to get a working record on the back of cereal boxes. It was a promotional thing. One time, ‘Alpha-bits’ put a record out of Bobby Sherman doing a song called ‘Time.’ Remember, these records were for kids. So, here are the opening lines from Bobby Sherman’s song, ‘Time,’ for kids:

“Time. We all die, some time.
No matter who you are, you answer to time.
And now I can see, we’re all running out of time.”

Here’s a number worth noting from ‘The Guardian.’ Since the inauguration, in the United States of America, arrests of people without criminal histories have increased 807%! It’s estimated that ICE is holding something like 59,000 detainees in various facilities across the country. Key phrase, ‘without criminal histories.’

These are NOT gang members, rapists, or murderers. These are just people trying to live their lives and go about their business. These are people working jobs and paying taxes. I presume Fox Not-News and the rest of MAGA media say otherwise, but the facts do not support the story they’re selling…

And on Friday, the DOD announced it will halt a critical atmospheric data collection program – at the end of June! Hey, a few days to prepare for the loss of irreplaceable, critical information on hurricane development just before hurricane season should be enough, right? The program, the Defense Meteorological Satellite Program (DMSP) helped scientists predict hurricanes with far better accuracy. Climate scientists say it will set hurricane forecasting back by “decades.”

Team Moronic Evil is insisting it’s just one piece in a lot of pieces and won’t be missed. The scientists who rely on it say it’s a vital piece of the puzzle and WILL be missed. One guy said, “It, frankly, is an embarrassment for the government to pursue a course with less data and just pretend everything will be OK.”

So according to the team that has YET to get even ONE THING right, less information will be a-okay. I’m sure that’s comforting for the people who live in hurricane zones. Red states, right? Well, they can hold Donny’s promises up to the hurricane as they discover the hurricane’s intensity when their roofs blow off. I’m sure they’ll be just fine…

See, THIS is why MAGA is so completely in the dark when it comes to what’s actually happening. Right now, the lying regime is in a full-court press, trying to convince people that the US bombing of Iran “obliterated” Iran’s nuclear capabilities. Team Evil doesn’t care what’s true. They just want people to agree with 47. HE said it was obliterated, it was obliterated, whether it was or not, right?

The thing is, many people are saying that it was NOT obliterated. And, as we all know by now, the source “many people are saying” is unimpeachable, right? A CNN reporter, Natasha Bertrand, reported on the existence of an intelligence assessment that said the attack had done LESS than obliterate the facilities. She just said the report exists, not that it was perfectly true.

But KKKaroline Leavitt tore into Bertrand during a press misinforming session. She spent nearly two minutes lying about Bertrand, really smearing her name. Remember, all Bertrand said is that the report exists and this is what it says. Even Leavitt has acknowledged the report exists but for some reason, Bertrand saying so is some kind of betrayal.

But none of that is the point. The point is this: during her diatribe, Leavitt said, “It was Natasha Bertrand who had 51 intelligence analysts falsely lie to her, but she still put it on paper for some reason, that the Hunter Biden laptop story was Russian disinformation. We all know that’s not true, right?”

Well, no. It IS true, there was a Hunter Biden laptop and that fact was covered up during the 2020 race. But the reason MAGA got a chubby about the laptop was because it was going to prove all the various crimes and other wrongdoings of the Joe Biden administration. It turned out to be nothing more than an opportunity for MTG to show a little revenge porn on the House floor. Ongoing investigations have revealed that many of the documents on the laptop were tampered with. In short, there is no “there” there on the Biden laptop and there never was.

But Leavitt keeps the Hunter Biden story going by repeating the part that works for Team Evil and simply disregarding the part that doesn’t. MAGA media will put Leavitt’s comments on a loop and reinforce for MAGA that the Biden laptop was the pinnacle of evil and MAGA will be forever trapped in a miasma of misinformation…

What A Confused Mess…

Our story so far: As nearly as I can work it out, Israel has been murdering Palestinians at a shocking rate in Gaza, claiming they’re wiping out Hamas. Apparently, EVERY Palestinian in Gaza is Hamas as far as Israel is concerned. Israel claims Iran has been financially backing Hamas in the fight, so they decided Iran should be involved, too. Never mind that Israel could NOT continue this fight without backing from the US. In Israel’s calculation, a country backing Israel is good, a country backing Israel’s opponent is an unforgivable outrage.

Israel repeats a long-ago debunked claim that Iran is working toward building a nuclear weapon and gets the Foolhardy First Felon to bomb some facilities in Iran. Then, the Felon posts in social media that he has brokered a cease-fire between the two countries. Iran “responds” to the US bombing by launching some cruise missiles at a US base in Qatar. Qatar is upset that Iranian missiles violated Qatari airspace but seems to be taking a measured response. Israel uses the launch of Iranian missiles at a US base in Qatar as a pretext to unload a huge number of bombs on Iran.

Donny knew it was going on. He says he got Bibi on the phone and told him not to drop those bombs. Bibi said he had to, the mission had already left. Donny claims he told Bibi to turn the planes around and posted to social media that the planes would do a “friendly plane wave” to Iran and go home. But the planes did a very unfriendly bombing of Tehran, instead. Iran fired back, because of course they did.

It should be noted, Israel is doing pretty much whatever it wants despite any agreements, international laws, or war crimes that might be involved. After the way they’ve been behaving in Gaza, I don’t trust the Israeli government. (The government, not “Jews,” so blow it out your ear.) The fact that the two countries were still exchanging fire after the announcement of the cease-fire really irritated Donny who said, “I gotta get Israel to calm down now,” as he left the White House, Reuters reports.

“Israel, as soon as we made the deal, they came out and they dropped a load of bombs, the likes of which I’ve never seen before, the biggest load that we’ve seen…We basically have two countries that have been fighting so long and so hard that they don’t know what the fuck they’re doing.”

But speaking of not know what one is doing, he came out immediately after the unprovoked attack and claimed Iran’s nuclear facilities had been completely obliterated. It turns out, Iran’s nuclear facilities were mildly damaged and should be back up and running in a few months.

MOSTLY, this raid proved that the vaunted ‘Bunker Buster Bomb’ doesn’t work very well. Each one of those bad boys costs $20 million dollars. Each one. The US dropped 14 of them during the raid. $280 million dollars in bombs alone, that doesn’t count the cost of the B-2 bombers required to carry those bombs or the support planes to protect the B-2s for a setback of only a few months. Hell, that’s not even good business.

The Felon and some of his followers are all giddy now. Oh, he’s going to get the Nobel Peace Prize THIS time. The dude is obsessed with trying to get a Nobel Peace Prize. Obama got one (that he, candidly, didn’t deserve) and now Donny desperately wants one. He’s obsessed. And, apparently, he’ll kill anyone to get one.

Personally, I’ll be surprised if one gets a peace prize for an illegal bombing raid. “No,” MAGA will say, “it’s for the cease-fire.” Yeah, the cease-fire after the illegal bombing raid. You can’t just eliminate that part of the equation. The Nobel committee won’t. Besides, Netanyahu is still in charge in Israel. Do you really think he’s going to stand down? Especially now that the world knows America’s great big, very expensive, vaguely suggestively named bomb (“Massive Ordnance Penetrator”) only did minor damage?

But the plot thickened on Wednesday, when a new intelligence assessment from Israel was issued. It determined that the bombs really DID do bigly damage to Iran’s nuclear capability. So, to review: that’s Hyperbolic Donny and Netanyahu – both of whom desperately want to look tough, decisive, and successful – saying the bombing was the bombing of their dreams and everyone else – including Donny’s own intelligence services – saying it was just a scratch.

There’s no sense in arguing about it at this point. The whole world will know which was correct by how quickly Iran gets it’s nuclear program up and running again. But, based on the veracity of every other thing 47 says, I’m guessing that will be sooner, rather than later…

Right now, as far as the world is concerned, the only thing keeping the American dollar going is Jerome Powell, the head of the Federal Reserve. He serves a predetermined term and that term runs another eleven months. He’s solid. He knows his stuff. He keeps standing in the way of Hyperbolic Donny’s efforts to obliterate the US economy. So, of course, 47 hates him and attacks him as “stupid” and “very dumb.” But Donny’s too stupid to know what stupid looks like, clearly a widespread affliction today in this once-great nation.

The Felon’s attacks on Powell are political, so, of course, he claims Powell is acting politically. As of today, the Fed doesn’t do that. It’s an independent group that is supposed to act on economic data alone and, as of today, it does. That means Powell doesn’t toady up to 47. THAT means 47 wants him gone. But because of the rules, he can’t just fire him.

Instead, Donny says he’s going to name Powell’s successor early, before the end of Powell’s term. THEN, every time Powell makes an economic decision, the regime can trot out their preferred monetary moron to say HE would have done things differently, politically, whatever Donny wanted, undermining Powell’s decision.

So, the dollar has fallen to a low not seen since the world was trying to crawl out from under the wreckage of Donny’s epic mishandling of Covid-19. It turns out, there are a LOT of ways Donny can destroy the US economy and he’s going full throttle on all of them…

Mike German, an ex-FBI agent, said immigration agents hiding their identities ‘highlights the illegitimacy of actions.’ He’s right about that. These guys KNOW that what they’re doing is wrong and the masks are the proof. But it’s worse than that. Now, bad guys are cosplaying as cops (copsplaying?) so they can do bad guy things, inadvertently supported by potential actual cops hiding fearfully behind their own masks.

SO, what stops, say, a terrorist from, oh, I don’t know, Iran maybe, from dressing up as a cop to gain access to some sensitive area and do some severe damage, possibly in retribution for some recent bombing?

Masked cops are just bad in every measurable way, and they’re likely making the whole country far LESS safe. Is there ANYTHING Donny doesn’t destroy? Anything at all? I’ll wait…

Regime Change Begins At Home…

Let the spinning begin. Yes, I mean the head-spinning. Apparently on orders from Bibi Netanyahu, the US bombed Iran in an effort to stop Iran from building a nuclear bomb the world agrees they were not trying to build, but which Donny has pretended they were trying to build for some three decades. Wait, actual bombs fell in response to a delusion? Absolutely.

The US is blaming Iran. Bear in mind, the US and Iran had entered into an agreement that prevented Iran from building nuclear weapons and, by all accounts, they were honoring that agreement. But because Donny is an irrational moron, he unilaterally pulled out of that agreement, for no reason other than Obama had negotiated the thing, and tried to force a new one on Iran, which Iran declined.

By all accounts (except Donny’s) Iran was sticking to the framework of the Obama agreement anyway. But they got attacked by Israel and they responded. The Israeli attack was kind of superficial and the response was also “measured.” But then it happened again. Israel attacked, this time with more devastating effect and Iran responded again, also with more devastating effect.

So now, because Iran responded to Israeli attacks, the US just HAD to bomb Iran, see? Clear as mud. It reminds me of nothing so much as an abusive husband beating his wife over some trivial “offense” while saying, “See what you make me do?” But the US sends in some planes, bombs three locations, then withdraws the planes safely. A “successful” mission, based on the fact that all of the planes that went in came out again. They DID hit their targets, too. Yay! Let’s celebrate US power.

Regime 47 officials took turns stepping up to the microphone to tell Americans how awesome we are. We hit our targets. We set back their nuclear program. We did amazing and wonderful damage and we came away unscathed and, take their word for this, there will be no repercussions whatsoever because that’s the way things work in most fantasy lands.

It turns out, Iran had an inkling that Donny might bring bombs and had moved everything important out of those facilities. Yes, the US did damage but they didn’t destroy the facilities, despite Donny’s hyperbole. Israel has since followed up by bombing access roads to those facilities but the roads and the facilities, themselves, can be repaired.

Iran can be back up and running in fairly short order – and THAT assumes the three sites bombed were the only sites available. Is it at all possible Iran had a fourth site that had gone undetected and, therefore, unbombed? Here’s the really ironic part: the very best way for Iran to put an end to all of this aggression over whether or not they have a nuclear weapon, is to develop a nuclear weapon. The US tends to shy away from bullying nuclear nations.

All of this hand-wringing over whether Iran can have nukes is kind of stupid. I mean, what are they going to do with them? Mutually Assured Destruction (MAD) is a real thing. Israel plays coy but the whole world knows Israel has nukes already. Iran can’t nuke Israel without Israel responding in kind – and BOTH sides face a very high risk of radiation blowback.

Are we really so afraid that “a madman might get nukes?” Well, guess what? A madman has full control over an entire arsenal of nuclear weapons right now! If that’s a legitimate basis for regime change, shouldn’t the US start at home? I say we get rid of our own madman with nukes before we worry too much about some guy somewhere else who doesn’t even have any.

Matthew, Chapter 7, verse 5 sums it up nicely: “Thou hypocrite, first cast out the beam out of thine own eye; and then shalt thou see clearly to cast out the mote out of thy brother’s eye…“

Don’t be distracted by Donny’s dirty little war. Remember, the GOP is trying to take away your health care so they can give tax cuts to the wealthy. For as long as I can remember, the GOP motto is: comfort the comfortable and afflict the afflicted…

Here’s a weird one. Some nutball opened fire at a church in Detroit on Sunday. Please note the LACK of speculation as to the shooter’s motives at this point. All we know, for sure, is that a 31 year old, white gunman opened fire. He shot a security guard in the leg. The newspaper article I saw in the Guardian said the security guard then shot and killed the gunman. That’s all kind of normal stuff, right? Standard American carnage.

But it turns out, the wounded security guard managed to shoot back only AFTER a church member ran over the gunman in a truck. You’ve got to admit, that’s a twist ending you didn’t see coming, right? Apparently, another thing that stops a bad guy with a gun is a good guy with a truck. THEN the guard shot and killed the gunman.

Okay, first, props to the driver of the truck. His quick thinking and bold action almost certainly saved lives. But then a weird little thought popped into my head. If I’m attacked, I’m allowed to use whatever force I need to use to protect myself – but no more. You’re allowed to defend yourself. You’re not allowed to escalate. If I manage to subdue my attacker, I’m not allowed to then grab a board and start pounding. The guy’s not a threat anymore.

I know it isn’t going to happen, but I found myself wondering if the security guard might get into trouble. I presume that once the congregant drove over the shooter – in a truck – the shooter was likely disabled long enough for someone to get the gun and secure the shooter. That is, I’m not sure the security guard needed to shoot and kill the gunman. It seems like excessive force.

The details on this shooting are still a little murky, but no, I would NOT have the guard face charges. It just crossed my mind that he could. If the gunman was down, having been run over by a truck, why did the guard open fire? But, like I say, murky details. Maybe the shooter was getting back up, like the Terminator. Either way, I don’t have any sympathy for the gunman and I feel like he should have holstered his weapon instead of shooting at people.

MAGAmerica is an insane, bloodthirsty place and and we have all just come to accept these regular shootings as part of our daily lives. It’s MAGA “freedumb.” You’re free to get shot anytime some nutball chooses…

The Pale Rider Rides Again…

Donny says HE invented the term “America First” so HE gets to choose what it means. Here’s the thing. HE did NOT invent the term “America First.” He revived it from Nazis. It was a slogan used by American Nazi sympathizers in the 1930s. 1930s Americans can be forgiven for being attracted to pretended Nazi ideology. The Nazis hadn’t Nazi’d yet. The modern Nazi, these days calling themselves MAGA, deserve no such grace.

This is all in relation to whether or not Felon 47 should use America’s biggest, non-nuclear bomb in Iran to “stop Iran from having nuclear weapons.” The question of whether or not he should bomb Iran and drag America into yet another moronic and wrongheaded Middle East war created quite a rift in MAGA-land. Should he or shouldn’t he? Two firmly held camps. The left started to get a little excited that it might be a “MAGA civil war.”

I don’t think such a threat actually ever existed. Remember, this is the crowd that actively killed their parents and grandparents during Covid-19 just to score what they thought were a few political points. Do you really think they’re going to split over bombing Iran? Now that he’s done it, he’ll just tell the “don’t do it” crowd to sit down and shut up – and they will. They’ll fall in line because that’s what they do. Independent thought is NOT a virtue in MAGAmerica.

This bit is funny: Pakistan announced on Saturday – before the bombing – they were going to nominate Felon 47 for a Nobel Peace Prize. He really wants a Nobel Peace Prize. He just doesn’t deserve one. He thought he might get it for ending Putin’s war in Ukraine. He brought his best game to that one, inducing the infamous “Stop it, stop it, STOP it!” chant – but it didn’t work and he was out of ideas.

He has been FAR too supportive of Israel’s attempted genocide, too. It turns out, one cannot supply weapons to a maniacal government and encourage that government to use those weapons to murder as many women and children as they can and be in the top running for a peace prize. The whole world knows Israel would not be able to continue in Netanyahu’s insanity but for American weapons – now happily supplied by Felon 47, for a small fee, of course.

He failed in Ukraine and he failed in Gaza so he apparently decided his best path to a peace prize might be in bombing the crap out of a foreign sovereign nation over a fraudulent and made up story. Damn, it feels like I’ve seen this movie before. The actors are different and it’s set in a different country but the plot… the plot is very familiar. Hackneyed, even.

Here’s an interesting tidbit. Outside of American (and probably Israeli) media? The entire world agrees that Iran does not have nuclear weapons, is not planning on having nuclear weapons, does not have enough enriched uranium to make nuclear weapons, is not building nuclear weapons. Even Tulsi Gabbard, his own National Intelligence Director, said Iran isn’t trying to build a bomb.

The whole threat of Iran’s “nuclear weapons” is Iraq’s WMDs all over again. Remember how that worked out? Remember when Kindasleazy Rice terrorized people with this lie, “The problem here is that there will always be some uncertainty about how quickly he can acquire nuclear weapons. But we don’t want the smoking gun to be a mushroom cloud.” Spoiler alert: it wasn’t. It couldn’t have been. Saddam didn’t HAVE WMDs.

He had been thoroughly defanged by the time the US went in the second time. MAGA was left pretending that some rotted and rusted chemical weapons found buried deep in the sand in the middle of a desert counted as WMDs, despite the fact that Weapons of Mass Destruction had been clearly associated with nuclear weapons.

Iran does want a nuclear power plant and such a beast requires enriched uranium, too. But the level of enrichment is vastly lower than that required to build a nuclear bomb and, again, Iran is making NO effort to enrich uranium to that extent. Well, they weren’t. It’s pretty clear the best path to avert American bullying is to HAVE a nuclear device, and Donny has now, likely accidentally, made that fact very clear to Iran.

Another promise made, another promise broken…

I often accuse MAGA of lacking morals. I make the point because of all the immoral stances MAGA supports. It’s a judgement call, subjective. But the more I hear about 47’s big bill, the more sure I am. Remember, one of the main themes of this nightmare is to inflict as much pain as possible on struggling Americans in order to make a very small segment of our country – rich people – I was going to say “more comfortable,” but they won’t BE more comfortable. How could they? They’ll just have more money on their pile.

It turns out, one route to all of that suffering is this slashing of Medicaid. That’s going to have widespread effect on the whole nation, things one might not initially think about, like closing rural hospitals. Obviously, the White House minions are pretending that cutting needed money won’t hurt anybody or anything. In fact, the less people have, the happier they’ll be, right? So, who needs medical care?

Are you having a heart attack because you were rage-screaming at the television about “Libtards?” Did you shoot yourself in the leg while you were cleaning your gun? Did your wife go into labor unexpectedly, three months early? Wow, you need a doctor, and fast. Too bad, though. The nearest doctor will be roughly two to four hours further away now that the only medical facility in the area lost funding to the Medicaid cuts and had to shut down. Try not to bleed out, okay?

Oh, I know, MAGA was told the Medicaid cuts actually only represented fraud, waste, and abuse. You’d better check that out more closely. The GOP – I should say, the very wealthy GOP – is taking money people need so they can give it to people with no need. Rural hospitals WILL shut down. Here’s the thing: one cannot just close down a hospital, realize it was a massive mistake, then reopen the thing as though nothing had happened.

This is not like DOGE firing everybody in sight, realizing the people they fired did an important job, and bringing them back a few days, weeks, or months later. Once those hospitals close, it will be very difficult to re-open them. Once rural Americans have lost their only local access to health care, that local access will likely be gone for a long, long time, maybe forever.

Only MAGA can stop this thing. I’m a lefty. I live in California. My representatives are already against this monstrosity. If I lived in a red state, my representative would just dismiss my input as radical lefty stuff. Only MAGA can make clear to MAGA politicians that this bill will cost those politicians more than they cost the victims of the bill and they’d better do it soon – or hope that no emergency medical situations come their way…
