’86 47′ Isn’t Violence…

What an incredible waste of time! One time, former FBI Director James Comey found a rock arrangement on a beach. It read, ‘8647.’ He took a picture and posted the thing. You likely know, ’86’ is slang for ‘throw away’ or ‘get rid of’ and Donny is the ostensible 47th President of the United States. ‘8647’ is code for ‘throw away trump.’

So now the DOJ has indicted Comey! They’re pretending that wanting that evil dumbass out of the White House is exactly the same as threatening violence. If that’s the case, they’re going to have to file charges against 4/5ths of all Americans (and, maybe the planet) since so effing many of us want him out of the White House as quickly as possible.

I’ve already said, I don’t want anybody to kill him and rob me of my pleasure at watching him face justice and do a perp walk for all of his many and varied crimes. But you could sure as hell 86 47 as far as I’m concerned. Let’s get him out of office and let the trials begin…

It looks like the Sackler family is still getting a protective deal. The Sackler family is responsible for OxyContin. The Sackler family knew it was distributing an addictive, dangerous drug but they found it FAR more profitable to lie about it – so they did. Oh, AND, when word got around that OxyContin was making it’s way to the black market, the Sackler family kicked into high gear and – did nothing. They made no effort to address the problem.

Now, get this, THEY feel victimized. They’ll have to pay out $225 million dollars to the inJustice Department and their drug company, Purdue Pharma, will have to pay out as much as $7 billion dollars, mostly to governments that dealt with the fallout of associated problems. That payment is over time, from future profits. The Sacklers won’t feel it too badly at all, thank the gods – or a corrupt legal system, take your pick.

There isn’t much in the deal for individual families who lost loved ones to the con that OxyContin was safe. And if the Sackler family “agrees to the deal,” there won’t be, either. Any family member that signs off on the deal will be protected from future opioid prosecutions. Quick question: why do corporations get to “agree to deals?” If I got caught committing a crime, I doubt authorities would “offer me a deal” and see if I agree. In my case, the “deal” would be pretty much imposed and I’d “agree” to it, whether I did or not.

I really don’t care about Sackler happiness. I think they ruined a lot of lives and killed a LOT of people. Because they went out of their way to lie about their wonder-drug, I think they murdered a LOT of people. Every family member associated with Purdue should spend time in prison and every dollar gained from their poisonous drug should be confiscated and distributed to the families of the victims…

What?!? Sports betting conspiracies? Heaven forfend! Who could possibly have known gambling problems might come back to professional sports when gambling was allowed in professional sports again? No, I mean besides everybody, because this was as predictable as sunrise.

It’s not just professional sports, either. College sports are infected, too. Hell, there’s probably illegal gambling in Little League and Pop Warner, too. Watch for the headlines, soon. “Little Jimmy Smith, aged 8 years, was arrested in a point-shaving scheme yesterday…”

The leagues have invested in some of the gambling sites, too. I can’t see myself betting on these sports. I can’t see how I could be sure it was an honest bet. The players have (secretly) made bets they can affect. The teams are invested in outcomes THEY can (secretly) affect. The last person on the list is me and because everybody upstream can affect outcomes, I’m reduced to a straight up guess. That’s not a good bet, if you ask me…

This country just gets a little more shameful every day. The Roberts Supremely Corrupt, Kangaroo Court weakened the Voting Rights Act on Wednesday. The Voting Rights Act protected against racial discrimination in drawing voting maps. But, of course, ‘protecting against racial discrimination’ is now verboten, here in the Bizarro US. Enhancing racial discrimination seems to be all the rage, these days.

So, oh, MAN, did the south respond! They jumped to redraw maps to reduce minority representation. “C’mon, Cletus, let’s get ’em out of here!” The only question, now, is how quickly the states can implement their new maps. Many of them are running into time deadlines for this “election,” but by the next “election…” Next election. Hope springs eternal, I guess.

Louisiana was thought to be too late to rig their maps for this year since their primary is scheduled for May 16. No problem for racism in Louisiana, though. They’ll just postpone their primary – and that’s exactly what Louisiana’s Republican governor, Jeff Landry, told Republican House candidates he was going to do.

Tennessee has one – ONE – majority black district. The second this ruling was handed down, Republican senator and gubernatorial candidate Marsha Blackburn called for that one district to be abolished immediately. She wants a special session to get rid of it right now, no delay.

I believe this Supreme Court will go down in history as one of the most corrupt, least competent courts ever assembled anywhere on the planet, any time in history…

The police can now issue tickets to autonomous vehicles, that is, driverless cars. They couldn’t for a while. It turns out, the ticket is issued to the driver, so who do you ticket when there IS no driver? In fact, they still don’t issue tickets. They issue notices of noncompliance.

Who knew those cars were violating the laws often enough for this to become an issue? That’s a bit unsettling, isn’t it? I mean, every driver out there has made a mistake. We’re only human, right? But these cars AREN’T human. They’re computers. They think faster. They react faster. They should get the rules right first time, every time.

So at least now, when an autonomous car chooses to ignore a red light and runs over you, you can take comfort there’s a citation it that car’s future…
