It Doesn’t Mean What It Sounds Like It Means…

There was once a politician from Northern California named Doug Bosco. In what may be an apocryphal story, he was once asked if he had ever tried marijuana. His answer? “I can’t say that I have, but…” People accepted the “I can’t say that I have” as a “no.” But he didn’t SAY “no,” did he? He said he can’t say, which might also mean it would be imprudent to confess such a thing in a political campaign. An honest, but dishonest answer.

Yesterday, I wrote about MAGA Mike, the Johnson and what a lying piece of garbage he is. I mentioned that right after the House settled for him as Speaker – Johnson was their last ditch effort – he went for an interview with Fox Not-News’ Sean Hannity where he said, “People are curious, ‘What does Mike Johnson think about any issue under the sun? I say, ‘Well, go pick up a Bible off your shelf and read it. That’s my worldview.’”

I’m saying, same deal. People accepted his comment as meaning he tries to follow the teachings of Jesus, because that’s the common interpretation of ‘my worldview comes from the Bible.’ But Johnson didn’t SAY he follows the teachings of Jesus, did he? He said, read your Bible. You’ll see me in there. Well, that’s different, isn’t it? And guess what? One CAN see him in the Bible. He’s all over that thing.

In just one example, right in the very beginning of the Bible, God sends a professional deceiver to deceive Eve into doing something terrible. It’s all part of an abusive and misogynistic God’s plan to punish all women for all time. It’s a real “See what you made me do?” moment. On his God’s behalf, the deceiver convinced Eve she could do as she pleased and that there would be no consequences. Everything would be just fine. Hey, I see MAGA Mike! He lies to people to convince them to work against their own interests every single day. He IS the deceiver.

He looks like an absolute hypocrite, the way he claims the Bible but won’t welcome strangers, visit the sick, clothe the naked, or feed the hungry. But he didn’t say he follows the teachings of Jesus and he has shown quite clearly and without doubt that he does not. This guy LIVES to “do unto the least of these” every chance he gets. He said we can find him in the Bible. Once one understands his meaning, one can see the truth in his comment. Yeah, he’s in the Bible. He’s just not one of the good guys in the Bible…

Vote early. That’s the message I’m getting from people who are following the trump crime family. Everybody knows he’s going to cheat. Nobody knows for sure, exactly how he’s going to cheat. So people are watching. The next, best window for him to cheat in is the counting window – the time needed to count the votes. While people wait, they can be made to feel like it’s taking too long. Americans LOVE immediate gratification.

State elections officials are trying to help people of this one-great nation understand that counting takes time and does NOT prove malfeasance or even questionable activity. People can easily choose to believe any damned fool thing they prefer, though. We’ve seen that over and over. But officials are trying, in the hopes that understanding the process today will help block a manufactured “crisis” later. Larry Norden, vice-president of the elections and government program at the Brennan Center said, “To me, this is the biggest threat right now.”

47 is still out there, though, trying desperately to drum up a little support for his lie about the voting process. Do you want to know why I think he’s lying, rather than just stupid? Geoff Hales, former chief of joint cyber defense collaborative partnerships at the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency, or CISA, said that despite the president’s insistence that the country faces a foreign threat to elections, the federal government has sharply cut staff and spending on elections security at CISA, and with it, the technical assistance that once flowed to state election’s officers.

If the guy is cutting the team that supports the elections, he must think they’re pretty safe, eh? Well, either that, or he doesn’t need any experts looking over his shoulder as he tries to steal the election…

Are they friends or are they enemies? I’d say recently, it’s mostly been frenemies. But Donny’s bound to react badly to Bill Clinton’s remarks at the opening of the Clinton Global Initiative meeting on the 22nd of this month. Bill was in pretty good form. “I suppose I could take my entire allotted time to discuss the self-evident wisdom of building an Arc de Triomphe in Washington to hold all our drones,” the former president said to laughs from the audience. “Some of this stuff — it’s hard to make up,” he added.

The whole room was laughing at the Drumpfster. In fairness, not all of Clinton’s speech was aimed at the Dumbass. Most of it was not. But there were a couple of nice, well-aimed digs. People seem to like laughing at, not with – at Donny, when they’re not terrified about the next moronic action the dotard might make…

When Cheat Justice John Roberts let Donny proceed with his stupid ballroom project, it seemed to be because Donny pointed to national security. So, Donny is trying to tie everything he wants to do to national security. Hey, it worked once. The terrified little rubes won’t EVER question anything that has to do with national security and it gives the way high court cover.

We’ve been treated to the story that Donny’s arch is supposed to be for national security. It was never that before. He added that on when people started pushing back. Now he has banned some news agencies from access to the White House and he’s pointing to national security. No one can figure out exactly what the national security issues might be, but that doesn’t stop Team Evil from claiming these are national security decisions. Frankly, if anyone is worried about national security, the very best answer is to get these clowns out of the White House just as fast as possible…
