Proof Of What We Already Know…

We’ve all heard it, over and over, ad nauseam. We started hearing it when it first puked out of Ronald Reagan’s lying mouth. We’ve been hearing it ever since. Give enough money to the rich people and eventually, they’ll have so much they’ll trickle a little back our way. Uh-huh. Mostly, people didn’t buy the story. There was one group, though. They bought it. They’re the Many Astoundingly Gullible Acolytes, or MAGA. And they are astoundingly gullible. They’ll believe anything, if they’re told by the right person.

The problem, of course, was that rich people never defined “enough.” Apparently, there’s no such thing. The working class has lived rougher lives. We live in smaller houses for higher rent. We eat worse and worse food, because that’s what we can afford. We’ve cut back on vacations and other pleasures of life. Our struggle is real. We’re VERY ready for a little bit of trickle. We need it.

The government has slashed one service after another because they can’t pay for them. Cuts to education. Cuts to already inadequate health care. Cuts to social services. None of that is any bother for the rich who have all of our money. They pay for private versions the working class isn’t allowed into. It’s rather an issue for those who have little to no choice but to look to the government to survive – and the One Percent resent even that.

Hell, we’ve announced our very first trillionaire! Hour upon hour, day after day, days turn into weeks. Weeks turn into months. Months into years. Years into decades. Not one red cent has trickled anywhere. In fact, they use the HUGE monetary advantage they have to… <checks notes> right! TAKE MORE FROM US! I’m calling that failure to trickle evidence that trickle down economics is now, has always been, and will always be, a lie.

It’s solid evidence. Evidence is good, but evidence isn’t necessarily proof. Proof is built on evidence, though. The evidence has been strong enough for long enough that I take it as axiomatic that trickle down economics has been an incredibly successful con game. But now? Now I have proof. Solid proof. So do you. No tin foil hat necessary.

So… my proof? Proposition 40. Win or lose, the pushback on Prop 40 is all the proof we’ll ever need that they never planned to trickle anything. Look, the story was always “give us enough, we’ll trickle some back.” We gave. We’re still giving. They’ve never once trickled. We’ve waited and waited and effing waited. Nothing. So, finally, in frustration, California puts a ballot measure to the people, ‘Shall we take back just a little of the money they took?’ And we’re getting our answer from the billionaires, “Oh, HELL no!”

Proposition 40 is merely trickle down in action. Maybe the greedy, selfish rich just need a little prompting to do that which they promised and have been promising for nearly 50 years. Prop 40 focuses on billionaires. There are something like 240 of them in the state. 240 billionaires. How many millions live below the poverty line? We’re WAY out of balance and Prop 40 tries to force those billionaires to trickle now. Just a little. The need is real.

But, nope. No trickle for you. If we trickle even a little today, you might expect us to trickle again sometime in the future. We can’t have that. Sure, we promise to trickle, eventually. We’ve already said so. It’s just that… now isn’t the right time. Our money hasn’t… matured. It’s still young. It needs more time. Just wait your turn. Keyword from the rich?: our, as in our money. But the working class earns that money. The parasite class just keeps it.

The current richest guy in California is Larry Page with a net worth of $257 billion dollars. After paying his 5% from Proposition 40, he would “only” have $244 billion dollars left. Cry me a river. Maybe he could skip a latte. But the parasites have spent more than $340 million dollars working to make sure they do NOT have to trickle anything to anybody at any time – ever!

I’ll tell you this: Proposition 40 is all the proof we’ll ever need that trickle down theory was never anything but a scam…

There’s a deadly measles outbreak growing in Pennsylvania. There are about 4,400 cases right now in the good old US of A and Pennsylvania has a quarter of those cases. The CDC is sending an expert to help. It’s said that fewer than 1% of those cases effect those who have been fully vaccinated. In THAT case, maybe we should just pat them on the head and send them home. A little chlorine in the gene pool, anyone?

I mean, if you made a stupid and dangerous choice, just to support some moronic political position, why should anyone waste resources on you? You had the same chance as everyone else to get in front of this thing. You chose, “Duh!” You volunteered to clean up the gene pool a bit and the rest of us will eventually benefit from your stupid, stupid choice. So, thank you – and good riddance…

Yeah, that’s what I WANT to write. The problem is, in FAR too many cases, the stupid choice was made by the parent, and the person who suffers from the stupidity is their child…

One sign that 47 is worried he might lose one of the chambers of Congress this mid-term? He has stepped up his support of Russia in Russia’s illegal war against Ukraine. I guess he expects the Dems to start trying to help the embattled democracy again instead of toadying up to Putin. Of course, 47 is a Russian asset. The Dems in Congress are not. I can’t tell you I’m surprised Trump betrayed Zelenskyy. Trump betrays everybody…

This is funny. The Dumbass Dotard said he could still “go after” the Clintons and the Obamas if he wanted to. He claims he has damning information and he just chose to sit on it. Yeah, that sounds just like him. Restraint is his middle name. He said he could do it just to “destroy their reputations.” Um, with whom? MAGA already hates them. Intelligent people hate HIM. We know about his frivolous investigations even if MAGA doesn’t.

Oh, I see. When asked if he was going to attack them, he said, “I guess not, probably not, but I think if they impeach me, again…” So it’s just an empty threat. If you impeach me again, I’ll use all that good gossip I have to destroy your reputation! Ooh, that’ll scare ’em. Hey, how ’bout we impeach him again just to find out what good gossip he thinks he has? Nah, let’s impeach him for all of the crimes he is committing…
