Is Team Evil ALWAYS Wrong? So Far…

Okay, help me out, here. I mean, make this make sense. By now, we all know about Donny’s murder spree on so-called “Venezuelan drug runners,” likely really just fishermen. Team Evil sees a boat in the Caribbean and they blow it up, insisting the boat was full of drugs and drug runners from Venezuela. Normally, those attacks kill everyone aboard, but not the most recent attack, as of this writing.

In the most recent attack, two of the four people aboard survived. I see, this morning, that the US is going to “repatriate” the two “to their home countries of Columbia and Ecuador for prosecution and punishment.” Great. He randomly attacks boats out fishing or on a pleasure trip, killing everyone aboard because he wants to pretend he’s being tough on drugs, then finds out he accidentally killed people from Columbia and Ecuador? Now Columbia and Ecuador have to be dragged into this just because the Drumpfster can’t confess error?

He has yet to offer any evidence of his claims beyond his well-known prevaricating mouth, but this has been an effort to ramp up MAGA anger at Venezuela, for some reason. Discovering his most recent victims were from Columbia and Ecuador just adds to the confusion. I don’t know why he’s not going to prosecute them here, but I guess it’s because there’s no evidence. Even if there had been, he blew it up.

So let’s sum up, shall we? He kills a bunch of people on boats, insisting they’re dangerous and evil drug runners. He actually captures two of the dangerous and evil drug runners. Now he’s sending those same dangerous and evil drug runners back to their home countries – specifically, NOT Venezuela – and just… setting them free? That doesn’t seem like a very effective drug-battling strategy, if you ask me…

Remember all the way back to, um, Saturday? When Americans held their ‘No Kings’ protest and the President of the United States decided to bomb the US in an attempt to intimidate protestors that didn’t intimidate protestors at all? Yeah, that time. The US fired artillery shells across I-5, claiming they were celebrating the 250th anniversary of the Marines, which occurs on November 10 so why wouldn’t you recognize it on October 18?

The military insisted it would be perfectly safe. GOP Representative Darrell Issa, who represents a district east of the base, called it “a spiteful publicity stunt” by Newsom. In a statement to the New York Times on Saturday, a spokesperson for Just Dumb Vance, William Martin, said Newsom misled the public about the safety risk.

That seems… less than supportive of Gavin Newsom’s call to close the highway for awhile during the live-firing-across-a-highway exercise. Newsom said it wasn’t just wrong – it was dangerous. He added that the President – or in this case, trump – “…using our military to intimidate people you disagree with isn’t strength – it’s reckless, it’s disrespectful, and it’s beneath the office he holds.” So who was right?

Well, this morning, there’s a report that one of the oh-so-safe artillery shells exploded early – right over the highway, in fact. Shrapnel rained down on a Highway Patrol car and a motorcycle that were part of JD Vance’s detail. Fortunately, nobody was hurt – because Newsom had closed the highway. It WAS a stupid and dangerous stunt and there WAS a problem that could have hurt or killed people. Gavin was right. Team Evil was wrong – again!

And STILL, ‘No Kings’ came off without a hitch, supported by millions of Americans nationwide…

Well, the Niners sure served up a game yesterday, didn’t they? They’re not exactly inspiring confidence during the week as we hear report after report about injuries. This guy’s hurt. That guy’s out. What happened? Who’s next? The reports leave the fans feeling like the team will hobble out on walkers and do the best they can. Then they come out and beat the Atlanta Falcons 20-10. It was… convincing…

Christian McCaffrey came out and played so well he looked like, well, like Christian McCaffrey in his prime. McCaffrey has been struggling this season. Apparently, the Niners finally changed their run scheme and McCaffrey, um… ran with it. My first thought was, “Why didn’t they do that sooner?” But the reality is, you get it when you get it and I’m glad they got it now.

On the other side of the ball, we all thought the defense was going to collapse after the loss of Fred Warner and Nick Bosa. Well, that’s what we get for thinking, isn’t it? The defense looked sharp and tight and played very well. Very well, indeed. No, they weren’t perfect but they were very good. As I watched the replacements command the field, I thought, “Hey, Bosa and Warner once played their first down in the NFL, too.” Maybe the replacements are just as good. We’ll see.

Last season, we Niner fans were burned so often by our kicker, we seem to have PTSD. The kicker comes on to the field, Niner fans groan, “Oh, no.” But that was our LAST kicker, whose name I will not mention. Our current kicker, Eddy Piñeiro, has been perfect on field goals and only missed one kick all season. We fans need to get over ourselves.

And, listen. I’m a Brock Purdy fan. I’ve been a Brock Purdy fan since he exploded onto the scene. He’s a very good player. But Mac Jones is better. He’s making better reads. He makes them faster. He’s got very good accuracy and zip on the ball. He has a deep ball Purdy lacks. In fact, the only thing I think Purdy has on Jones is his ability to move. Jones isn’t a statue, but he’s not as mobile as Purdy.

It’s still Purdy’s job, of course. He JUST got the fat payday. The Niners are on the hook for that money now and they’re not going to let Purdy go and absorb that loss. But it says something that the deciding factor is the money and not the on-field performance. If it was strictly on-field performance, I’d say Mac Jones has the edge.

I say again, Purdy doesn’t suck. I’m not going be too upset that we end up with him under center. But I’m going to be sad to see Jones take his talents to another team next season. I actually and honestly think he’s the better Quarterback…

Decent People Hate That Guy…

Well, did it work? Is he out? No? Okay, not yet, but is he leaving? No? Well, has he at least seen the error of his ways and promised to change? No, again? Yeah, I was afraid of that. I wouldn’t exactly call it a wash-out, though. Millions of people across the country came together to stand in solidarity against the abuses, excesses, and corruption of the current regime. Decent people hate that guy.

It’s a good visual. There are photos of protests from sea to shining sea with people shoulder to shoulder. Team Evil seemed to fear the event. They tried to smear participants before the fact by calling potential protestors all kinds of terrible names. Well, “terrible” to them. Antifa? Why yes, thank you, I DO oppose fascism. Marxists? I’d bet not. Un-American? No, those are the creeps dismantling our government, those who can’t wait to bend the knee to a king. It’s a classic example of the pot calling the kettle black.

In Southern California, Donny decided to have the marines stage a war game, complete with live fire over I-5. The marines said the live fire wouldn’t affect the highway but California closed it for a time anyway. The demonstration was said to celebrate the 250th anniversary of the Marines but that date wasn’t yesterday’s date. The 250th anniversary of the Marines is November 10. Apparently, they even failed ‘reading a calendar’ in school.

I haven’t heard about too much (any, really) violence at the protests. I imagine if I tune in MAGA media I’ll see nothing BUT violence at the protests – even if the visuals for the “violence at the protests” comes from other protests and around the world. Faking it is easy for MAGA media. They’ll show footage of J6 rioters and insist the pictures represent out-of-control lefties at No Kings, things like that.

Where violence DID occur, it seems to have been instigated by government. ICEholes in Portland, Oregon, for example, deployed tear gas at a protest outside their office. That wasn’t even an official ‘No Kings’ protest, though. That was the other Portland protest that’s been going on since The Felon deployed the National Guard to Portland because it was a “war zone,” his demented mind unable to discern what an actual war zone looks like.

I don’t mean to go all dark, here, but it seems the protests didn’t DO much. Sure, we got to enjoy some solidarity and demonstrate our anger at – and, dare I say – hatred of the Orange Moron. They KNOW we hate them. They don’t care. They KNOW we disapprove of their constant assaults on Americans and their overall failures. They don’t care. They KNOW Americans don’t want a king. They don’t care. I don’t think this chaos ends with marches and inspirational speeches…

Huh. Who would have guessed? Didn’t Donny say this was over? Does he ever get anything right? I saw a headline in the Guardian this morning, ‘Gaza cease fire under pressure as Israeli army carries out airstrikes in Rafah.’ As nearly as I can tell, Israel pretty much hasn’t stopped shooting. At all. It looked promising for a minute as the hostages were exchanged, but that’s the Middle East: never promising for more than a minute. Good job, God!

Describing the ceasefire as “under pressure” when one side has ceased ceasing – never really ceased at all, actually – is pretty hopeful wording. Well, at least the hostages are home. But somehow, 47 always fails up. Somehow, this not-entirely-a-surprise collapse of the ceasefire might better position him for the Nobel Peace Prize he so desperately wants. No, I don’t get it, either. The only explanation I can think of is always the same: the devil takes care of his own…

Remember Luigi Mangione? He’s the guy who murdered the pharmacy exec, Brian Thompson. There was some pretty loud celebrating at the equity of the attack until we collectively remembered, “Oh, yeah, murder is bad.” I suspect Mangione still enjoys low-key, but widespread support. There’s a reality to the idea that, yeah, the CEO doesn’t kill with a gun. That doesn’t mean his choices don’t kill people. Mangione’s actions were just less random and more focused.

Mangione’s family isn’t exactly destitute but they don’t have as much money as the Thompson’s. ‘When a lesser wealth kills a greater wealth, the book shall be thrown with full and unrelenting force.’ That’s a teaching from the Book of Mark. No, not the Biblical one, the me one. Punishment for crime is always enhanced when the victim comes from the upper classes. In keeping with that truth, Mangione has been charged with everything they could think of, then a few more things they made up just to really, really get the guy. They want to kill him right back.

Well, guess what? Mangione’s lawyers have filed to dismiss the indictment altogether, citing “false, damaging, public statements” made by Pam Bondi and New York City Mayor Eric Adams. They argued that at the very least the death penalty should be off the table, arguing that the staged, “Marvel movie” style perk walk on December 19 – “with dozens of agents needed to protect the public from the shackled monster Mangione” – “violated Mangione’s right to due process such that this death penalty case should be dismissed.”

Team Evil is just trying to whip up some support, of course, but their ongoing incompetence might be their own undoing when it comes to their eye-for-an-eye attitude…

MAGA Mike, the Johnson, STILL hasn’t sworn in Adelita Grijalva, the Arizona Democrat elected three weeks ago. His lie is that he can’t. The shutdown needs to end, first, he says. The truth is, he won’t. And if he can find a way to keep from swearing her in AFTER the shutdown ends, he’ll do that, too.

MAGA has been running roughshod over the Constitution and the Democrats since January. There is precious little the Dems can do to stop them. THIS shutdown is pretty much the only chance they have to effect change in policy. Their votes are the only leverage they have and they’re withholding their votes until Team Evil relents on taking health insurance away from millions of people.

So, right NOW, the evil GOP is pretending Grijalva is their leverage. “We’ll swear in your member when the government re-opens, so drop your opposition to our evil plans.” MAGA Mike, the Johnson even suggested the Grijalva should just get to work representing her constituents. He fails to mention that it would be illegal for her to ACT as a Representative when she hasn’t been sworn in as a Representative.

Arizona is putting together a lawsuit in an effort to force the Johnson to swear in their representative. Americans still seem to believe the Constitution applies and according to that Constitution, Arizona has a legal right to full representation in congress. The Johnson is denying them that right.

MAGA Mike is trying to blow the whole thing off. “She has nothing, whatsoever, to do with what’s happening in Congress,” he lies. You see, she does. Adelita Grijalva represents the 218th signature on Rep Massie’s Petition for Discharge, forcing a vote on releasing the Epstein Files. At that point, the GOP has to go on formal record protecting their pet pervert pedophile – not to mention, apparently, themselves – from exposure in those files.

So far, in a desperate effort to keep from facing that vote, the Johnson has dismissed the House entirely – as though they have nothing to do – and refused to swear in a duly elected Representative from a red state. One could almost call their united front impressive – if only it weren’t being used to defend trump from his involvement with child sex trafficking and molestation. The things some people will overlook…

LOTS of Blather…

I’ve kind of enjoyed all of the GOP hyperbole associated with today’s “No Kings” protests. It’s all so ridiculous. MAGA is calling Americans every name they can think of, the worst of the worst. They said participants in the No Kings protests are Hamas supporters, Antifa, and un-American. I laugh at these morons. Then, I remember that they’re going to govern according to their delusional fever dreams, and it’s less funny.

I oppose Israel’s attempted genocide in Gaza. I am NOT “pro Hamas.” For the record, in standing with No Kings, I’m aligning myself with the Founding Fathers and in proudly wearing the mantle of Antifa, I stand with the thousands of American soldiers who defeated the Axis Powers in WWII. I AM “Antifa,” or anti-fascist. Tell me why that’s bad.

As far as being un-American? You can go fu– well, what that Dick Cheney said. I’ll tell you what, I’m not going to hang around while traitors to the nation call ME un-American. If you oppose ‘No Kings,’ you must be pro king, right? It doesn’t get more un-American than that. If the fight against King George III was happening today, MAGA wouldn’t be donning red hats. They’d be donning red coats…

It’s time for Americans to STOP trying to convince MAGA they’re engaging in fascist behavior. What, you don’t think they KNOW it? Of course they know it. This isn’t even the first time in history fascism has been even mildly popular, here, in America. Rich people love it and they convince failed, work-a-day Joes they should love it, too.

Americans expected MAGA to stand down when we told them it was fascism because of the price Americans paid to defeat the ideology the LAST time it reared it’s ugly head. They didn’t. We said, “Hey, that’s Fascism!” and expected them to recoil. Instead, MAGA said, “You bet your ASS that’s fascism! WE LOVE IT!”

So, give it up, would you? They know what they’re doing. They have NO idea what they’re doing to themselves in the long run, but ushering in fascism is their goal, they think it’s a worthy goal, and they’re going to do it…

If you have a problem with it, take it up with Donny. But in the meantime, 47 is taking his marching orders from Putin…

Our Fearful Misleader has taken to ‘harassment indicting’ his political opponents. So far, all of the fraudulent indictments have one thing in common: each was dropped as an investigation by qualified attorneys before being restored as charges by bootlickers.

The First Felon pushed out the federal prosecutor for the U.S. attorney’s office in the Eastern District of Virginia, Erik Siebert – a trump appointee, because he refused to move forward with a fraudulent prosecution against James Comey. Donny installed unqualified loyalist Lindsey Halligan, who DID file the charges. She appeared in court with no other federal prosecutors, all of whom refused to sign the charging documents.

She also charged Letitia James after Siebert refused to destroy his legal career just to make a narcissist happy. Siebert has some integrity, Halligan does not. He cares about the law, she does not. He would not file the fraudulent charges, she did – happily. I can see a future where Halligan surrenders her law license a-la Rudy Giuliani.

So now there are NEW pretend charges against John Bolton. Bolton has maintained a journal throughout his entire career and Team Evil is charging him with putting national secrets in his journal and sharing pages with others. It goes back to the book he wrote in which he accurately described the chaos and incompetence of a trump white house, which irritated the thin-skinned orange man. This is Donny’s revenge. Oh, for the record, the Biden DOJ already looked into this and declined to pursue it due to lack of evidence. He’s just wasting time and wasting money…

I know loyalty is loyalty but Donny seems to be actively attacking Americans and MAGA. I’ve said it before. At this point, the MAGA rank-and-file remind me of nothing so much as an abused spouse. Donny gives them a “see what you made me do?” and – they do. They DO see what they made him do. They just don’t understand what they did to make him do it.

Take soybeans. Donny’s tariffs wiped out the American soybean market to China in, like, days. This year, so far, China has purchased zero American soybeans. Instead, they went down to economically troubled Argentina. Donny likes Argentina because their leader is an incompetent, wanna-be dictator, called ‘El Loco,’ whose policies are harming his country. Birds of a feather, you know?

So Donny is sending $20 billion dollars to Argentina – and it could be as high as $40 billion – to help them stabilize their economy so it’s easier for them to sell their soybeans to China, and leaving AMERICAN soybean farmers out in the cold. Put another way, not one penny to help Americans, $40 billion to help Argentina. Loyalty should be a two-way street, but whenever Donny is involved, it isn’t. Donny is loyal to nothing but himself…

When it comes to actually lowering prices, Donny is a complete, absolute, abject, and utter failure. He can’t lower prices. He doesn’t have a clue how to lower prices. What he CAN do is lie about it, so he does THAT, instead. The thing is, his lies are stupid. I suspect even MAGA figured out he didn’t get drug prices down by 1,500%.

I mean, hey, we were ALL hoping we’d go to pick up our prescriptions and get a fat check, too, but it hasn’t turned out that way at all. Instead, we’re all still paying – a LOT – for prescriptions. For reasons that seem to elude him, prices don’t respond to his fantasies or declarations.

This is one of the biggest problems with his failed and twisted personality. NOBODY in his circle can even suggest he might be mistaken, for fear of retribution. (Did you see the Comey, James, Bolton bit, above?) So when he claims he has lowered the cost of IVF by 800% – his latest claim – nobody can point out to him that it’s impossible. Labs are NOT going to pay women to have an IVF procedure. That’s not how they make money at all.

Maybe he knows he’s lying. Maybe he’s just lost his mind. It’s hard to tell the difference but the outcome is the same: he hasn’t DONE anything – except blather. He’s got LOTS of blather…

Today’s Republican Party…

Can you imagine being Donald J. Trump and openly speculating about whether or not you might get into heaven? He’s been doing that recently, speculating. I guess with all of his recent health issues that are completely obvious but totally not happening, an afterlife is on his mind. But, I wonder if he really wonders. (He doesn’t. He knows.) Donny is the physical embodiment of ALL of the Seven Deadly Sins – Pride, Envy, Gluttony, Lust, Avarice, Wrath, and Sloth. He doesn’t miss one.

I wrote a rather long and involved piece about the Anti-Christ and how Donny fit the bill in every way. When you fit – perfectly – the biblical descriptions of the Anti-Christ AND you embody ALL of the Seven Deadly Sins, I seriously doubt Heaven is your final destination…

Twenty-seven. That’s the number of people Team Evil have murdered in boats off the coast of Venezuela as of Wednesday morning. Twenty-seven. He says they’re drug runners. He offers no proof. We just have to take his word for it. Oh, well, in THAT case… I’ll really need to see that evidence. That boy tells more lies before breakfast than I have in my entire life.

But, hey, best case scenario, okay? Let’s just agree, for the sake of argument, that, yes, those are drug runners and they are trying to smuggle drugs into the US. DOES that give the US the right to summarily execute them? The US Constitution says they have a right to a trial. They’re certainly NOT getting a trial.

Donny is calling his murders a “non-international armed conflict.” He really needs the US to be in a war in order to inflict some of the harsher things he wants to do to us. He has tried several times to claim things as wars to give himself special powers. So far, the courts keep telling him these aren’t “wars.” Murdering people in pleasure boats out for a grand day on the water hardly qualifies as a “war.”

“Hey,” says a MAGA, “you don’t know they were pleasure boats, just out having a good time.”
And you don’t know that they’re drug runners, either. My guess is as good as yours. It was once a bedrock principle of the United States that even the worst of the worst get a trial. They get to face their accusers and offer rebuttal evidence, if they can. Summary executions in international waters with no evidence presented and no chance for rebuttal qualifies as murder, in my book…

Look, I know the right is trying to sanctify the guy, but Charlie Kirk was hardly the best among us and he absolutely does not deserve the Presidential Medal of Freedom. Prove Me Wrong…

Oh, and speaking of offensive mouths, well, in this case, fingers, have you heard about the Young Republicans and their racist and hate-filled comments? I’ve read many of them. Yech. One wrote, ‘I love Hitler.’ Another called rape ‘epic.’ They “joked” about sending their political opponents to gas chambers. One woman, Annie Kaykaty, a member of New York’s national committee wrote, “I’m ready to watch people burn now.”

Lovely. Such wonderful, well-developed people – the future (and the present) of the GOP. Apparently, there are 2,900 pages – 28,000 messages – of such oh-so-funny racist and/or misogynist and/or violent – yes, more violence from the right – “jokes.” Team Evil trotted out Junior Dumbass Vance, who is trying to dismiss the comments as youthful indiscretions, just the kinds of things kids do.

Yeah, Hitler’s kids. I know, Hitler didn’t have any kids, it’s a metaphor. You know what? I was a kid, once. I popped off. I was flippant. I said stupid things. (Still do.) But they weren’t racist. They weren’t misogynist. They weren’t violent or threatening. They didn’t promote hatred. In short, yes, kids say stupid things, but these ‘kids’ were gleefully spouting a particular brand of evil and hatred decent people avoid.

Oh, and before we go too far down the ‘kids’ rabbit hole, bear in mind, some of these ‘kids’ in the ‘Young Republicans’ were forty years old at the time. These were like-minded people who thought they were in a safe space and let rip with the things they can’t say in public, but really, really want to. These ARE… today’s Republican Party…

Out of the mouths of narcissistic dictators, eh? When he saw the ‘Time’ Magazine cover of him – which I agree is not the best shot of a person in the history of great shots – he wrote, “They “disappeared” my hair, and then had something floating on top of my head that looked like a floating crown, but an extremely small one.”

NATURE is “disappearing” his hair and the “something floating” on top of his head IS what’s left of his hair. When HE saw it, he saw a “crown,” and was irritated it was a “small one.” Speaking of which, remember the ‘No Kings Day’ rallies taking place near you this weekend, October 18. Frankly, I think the rallies are too little, too late and too few and too far between but anything we can do is better than nothing.

Anyway, I guess the photo was meant to convey power but the most prominent visual – the thing most people are commenting on – is his amazingly prominent waddle. He’s a very fat man with a substantial waddle and when he folds that thing up and forces it into a buttoned shirt collar, it starts to look like… well, I don’t want to say.

But Stephen Colbert suggested he had just delivered a baby from it. The director of information at Russia’s ministry of foreign affairs, Maria Zakharova, wrote, “Only sick people, people obsessed with malice and hatred – perhaps even perverts – could have chosen such a photo.” Perverts? What are YOU seeing, there, Maria? Yeah, me, too – right along with everyone else…

I don’t want to get ahead of myself, but it looks like Donny’s amazing victory in the Israeli/Gaza war is falling apart. Netanyahu started looking for excuses and “work-arounds” almost immediately. Hamas was late delivering some dead hostages? Well, that’s it, then. The war is back on. As of this writing, Israel has killed 24 people in shootings since the “cease fire” was announced.

I don’t really know, of course. Nobody does. Hell, I hope I’m wrong. I’d rather the brutality stop – even if it means giving Donny credit for the win. But this is a fight that’s been going on for thousands of years and Bibi is motivated to keep the war going in an effort to stay out of jail…

Our Fearful Misleader, The First Felon, says he has to fire workers from “Democrat” departments. I don’t know what a “Democrat” department is but, so far, he has attacked the CDC the hardest. This guy is suggesting that deadly illnesses can – or will – check someone’s political registry before infecting the person.

There’s a reason the entire world thinks he’s a dumb as a brick and twice as thick…

There is a ton of stuff going on. It’s very hard to keep up. Is NOW a good time to remember that Donald Trump was best friends with an accused and convicted child sex trafficker named Jeffrey Epstein for fifteen years? Is NOW the time to recall that much of this noise is about burying the Epstein story by simply overwhelming it with fresh, new outrages?

Ballots Online? Be Careful…

Okay, so this is important. California has done a confusing thing. (What? Again?) I know! I opened my mail-in ballot. You know, the safest kind of ballot a voter can use? The ones with all of those protections built into them to ensure security? Yeah, that one.

Along with my ballot, I found a little card. One side of the card is emblazoned with the words ‘Business Reply Mail.’ The other side is an application for a thing called a ‘Remote Accessible Vote By Mail Ballot’ or RAVBM. I suppose such a thing has value if you spoil your mail-in ballot, but I don’t like them putting the application in with the other ballot. It could cause confusion.

What it is, see, is your ballot online. BUT… you don’t file the ballot online. You access it online, mark your ballot online, then print it out, put it in an envelope, and mail it (or carry it) in. Meanwhile, filling out the application voids the mail-in ballot the county mailed to you – and you STILL have to get it back by the end of business on “election” day.

My concern is that someone might get confused and think they’re signing up for a new service for future “elections” while filing this year’s mail-ballot, and not realize they’ve voided this year’s mail-in ballot in the process. That would be bad.

We enjoy a secret ballot in this once-great nation so you’ll never know which ‘yes’ box I filled in for Prop 50. To be clear, I oppose gerrymandering. I worry we’re starting an even faster downward spiral by supporting this idea. Worse, I fear that in a nationwide tit-for-tat, Dems will lose.

But I don’t see any other idea that might work. Texas started this when they rewrote their districts with the specific intention of creating five extra GOP seats. It left California little to no choice but to respond in kind. We might lose the gerrymander battle – but this vote, at the very least – reflects an effort. It’s a statement: “We do not agree. We will not acquiesce.”

Personally, I just thought of it as a finger to Donny’s eye and that made it all… wonderful…

Well, rats! Donny didn’t win the Nobel Peace Prize – again! I mean, how many people does he have to bomb, maim, and murder to prove he’s a peaceful guy?

Okay, here is where I should probably mention that all of the hostages in Gaza have been released and people are giving Donny credit. We’ll have to wait and see if it equates to “peace,” but releasing the hostages is a good thing…

It’s called ‘Inoculation,’ ironically enough. One side ‘inoculates’ an argument by advancing a given position themselves and baselessly blaming their opposition, thereby blunting later criticism when they do what they accused their opponent of doing. Here’s what I mean: Donny spent the last four years whining and moaning about the government “weaponizing the Department of Justice (DOJ)” because they were trying to convict him for all of his crimes. The government, then, was NOT weaponizing the DOJ. They were simply trying to convict him for all of his crimes. They would have, too, if he hadn’t already strategically installed so many corrupt judges.

The DOJ was just doing it’s job. But the point for the GOP wasn’t to whine. The point was to create a story. The idea is, they whined and whined and cried and bitched and moaned and whined some more. NOW, when THEY actually weaponize the DOJ and the Dems say, “They’re weaponizing the DOJ,” the cons will just say, “Yeah, yeah, you didn’t care when we said it, we’re not going to care when you say it.”

MAGA is celebrating these fraudulent, harassment suits against James Comey and Letitia James. They don’t realize that establishing this precedent of weaponized prosecutions could just as easily come back to bite them down the road, too…

It isn’t true on the national level, yet, but I’ve noticed a trend in which Democrats seem to be flipping seats in red areas down ballot. The most notable in my mind was when a Democrat won the mayoral election in Fairbanks, Alaska. Alaska, including Fairbanks, is dependably red. But they voted blue this year, at least for mayor.

Democrats flipped a legislative seat in Iowa, too. They flipped one in Pennsylvania earlier this year. Last May, Democrat Sam Sutton defeated his Republican opponent to win New York’s 22nd State Senate district – a district Donny won by 55 points in 2024.

I don’t mean to overstate it. Dems are also crowing about “over-performing” in other areas. That’s usually a euphemism that means “we lost by less than we lost by last time.” It’s still a loss, but it’s promising.

To me, it’s reflective of the havoc and chaos Donny and Team Evil are inflicting on the country. I mean, c’mon, do you really believe the Dems have improved their messaging and clarified their vision of how to improve the daily lives of Americans? I assure you, they have not. At least, not on the national level. On the national level, Dems seem stuck in “We’re not Donny.” Sure, it’s true, but it’s also not very… informational.

It’s like… people WANT to vote for “We’re not Donny” but you’ve got to give them something more than “not Donny” to vote for. Candidates in these down ballot elections have done exactly that – and they’ve won. It’s a hopeful sign for the mid-terms.

While Democrats and Republicans bicker about who’s doing what to whom, constituents – Americans and MAGA, alike – are getting notices from health insurers informing them of significant increases in premiums. HUNDREDS of dollars in increases. MAGA loves bitching about Obamacare but they’ve sure enjoyed having health insurance these last years.

I doubt any of my MAGA friends are going to confess, to me, their frustration with the wreckage being inflicted by Donny and the Dumbasses. But they will confess it to each other and it might very well play out in the voting booth. Even if they don’t vote blue, not voting at all sends a message, too.

There’s even a possibility the Democrats could lose the redistricting debacle and STILL win enough seats to flip one or both houses of Congress. One can contrive a bright red district, but the bright red voters still have to come out and cast a ballot and I’m not sure taking away health care and creating artificial price spikes is the way to get that done…

Spinning Plates…

Have you ever seen a juggler doing the spinning plate trick? You know the one. The performer sets a plate on a long stick and spins it, balancing the plate on the stick. Then, the performer sets up a second one. Then a third. Then a fourth. Then they run back and spin the first one again, keeping it in action. How many plates can they spin before they can’t maintain it anymore? It’s pretty exciting, watching the plates, waiting for them to fall.

That’s how I feel, watching Donny’s Team Evil trying to spin so many lies at the same time. They’re just flying from story to story, trying to keep the spin going. I have to confess, they’ve done pretty well, so far. But it looks like some of the plates might be getting close to falling. I think the first one to go will be this health insurance subsidy fight.

During the Spring, when Chuck Schumer rolled over and signed off on the Continuing Resolution to keep the government open, people on the left were furious with him. We suggested he sold out. But old Chucky had a plan and it is proving a good one.

See, Schumer understood he had no leverage at the time. A shut-down battle, then, would have been nothing but a debate on philosophy. With no tangible results, it would have been easy for the GOP to do what they do best: lie. By the time the rank-and-file discovered the lie, it would be too late. So Schumer signed off then, moving the fight to now.

You see, the GOP went with their standard practice. The lies started flowing right away. Their official position is that the truth always hurts their “official position” so they avoid truth like a bad neighborhood. “The GOP is the party working to protect your health care. WE want to fix it. The mean old Dems won’t let us.” For their part, Dems are pointing out that everyone’s insurance premiums are about to shoot through the roof.

Payments are going to go up hundreds and hundreds of dollars, leaving millions out in the cold. Cons lie that they have until January 1 to address the problem, and they swear on everything they hold dear (they hold nothing dear) that they really, really want to fix it, just not now. Dems are pointing out that this has to happen now, before November 1 because November 1 is when the open enrollment of the exchanges starts. If it’s not settled by then, the higher premiums take hold.

“NOT TRUE!” shout the lying liars of the GOP. “YES, TRUE!” say the notices coming out from the insurance companies to customers telling them of increases of hundreds and hundreds of dollars in their premiums. Essentially, Schumer took the Dems out of the conversation. The GOP says one thing, the notices of increase from the insurance companies say something else. MAGA can pretend the GOP is telling the truth all they want to, but they’re going to pay the higher premiums or, more likely, lose their health insurance.

The GOP is having trouble getting their lie to stick, what with all of those actual increase notices going out. And it’s not the Dems sending the notices, it’s the health insurance companies. Every day, it gets a little more clear – even to MAGA – that the GOP is lying. That particular plate is looking pretty wobbly…

One of the plates the GOP spun was in the Big Ugly Bill, when the GOP stole $140 billion dollars from rural hospitals. Rural hospitals warned they would close as a result. The GOP restored $50 billion dollars of the $140 billion they stole originally and declared “problem solved!”

Now? Rural hospitals have started closing due to inadequate funding. The stories are the stories and the lies are the lies but reality doesn’t give two figs about stories and lies. Reality just keeps being real. This one seems like a plate that has actually fallen. Rural hospitals are closing. They will be very difficult to re-open. Huge swaths of this once-great nation will become health care deserts. Thanks, GOP. I’m sure that’s what people were voting for when they voted for you…

One of the plates they’re most worried about is, obviously, the Epstein files. MAGA Mike, the Johnson STILL has the House in recess. So far, it’s all he can think of to stop the Massie petition to release the Epstein files from coming to the floor. If the cons come back, they’ll have to swear in the new Democrat, Adelita Grijalva.

She signs off as the 218th signature on the petition, the release of the files comes to the House floor, and everybody – everybody – even MAGA, gets to watch the GOP protect the pervert millionaires and billionaires – who count it among their “special privileges” to have sex with minors – by voting down the release. Another plate, crashing to the ground…

A Qatari military base? Here, in America? Honestly, I can’t wrap my arms around that. I wonder what brought it on? Do you think it’s the new golf course bribe Donny gets in Qatar? Was it the $400 million dollar bribe plane? The “investment” bribe into Jared Kushner’s firm might have been relevant. Perhaps it was just input from one-time Qatari employees, Kash Patel and Pam Bondi.

In 2017, Donny declared Qatar “funders of terrorism.” Suddenly, they’ve turned into financiers of his personal comfort. So we’ve switched from the terrorist watch list to “How about a military base in the US?” We’re being told the base will be controlled by the US. It won’t be a “foreign” military base. It will just be a normal military base staffed with foreigners. Totally different. No, they’re calling it a “training facility.” In Idaho.

I’m not the only one irritated by this particular spinning plate. MAGA is angry about it, too. On this one, MAGA and I agree: foreign military forces shouldn’t be allowed to establish facilities in the US, most especially when said foreign military has such deep ties to Hamas…

RATS! Still “Healthy…”

Donny “stopped by” Walter Reed Medical Center on Friday. He had his second “annual” physical. He had his first annual physical in April. Doesn’t EVERYONE have two “annual” physicals a year? Listen, I get it. Donny has some kind of physical ailment going on. We’ve all seen the droopy face. No, every American has seen the droopy face. MAGA was “protected” from the information.

Many suspected a stroke. I can’t say it wasn’t a stroke, but the droopy face was better the next day, and I don’t think stroke victims recover so quickly. I suspect it was Bells Palsy. Full disclosure: I’m no doctor and I don’t even play one on TV. I’m completely unqualified to make any kind of medical diagnosis and my medical opinion isn’t worth the paper it’s printed on. That’s my opinion…

Still, I don’t think one needs to be a doctor to see that something is wrong with the guy. There was the droopy face thing. His speeches are always rambling, difficult-to-follow affairs but they have somehow become even MORE disoriented recently. He’s not moving the same as he used to. We saw what were suspected to be urine collection bags around his legs. His cankles. There’s a LOT. (No sign of ear damage, though, since he was never shot.)

Of course, we received a glowing report about how healthy he is. That’s the same result reported for his April annual health check up AND his followup health check in July, after which it was reported he was in excellent health for a guy with chronic venous insufficiency. We ALSO learned that while Donny is steering the Deceived away from vaccines, especially, the Covid vaccine, HE is accepting the Covid vaccine AND the flu vaccine. “Suffer, bitches!” I guess.

So we can look at the guy and see something is wrong but we’re told he’s in excellent health. Uh-huh. In fairness, no political party is going to publicize that their guy is failing fast. But Donny’s an old man. When we can look at him and see the effects of aging, that’s a tough sell. When I hear that he’s in perfect health, six feet six inches tall, and 210 pounds, I don’t believe it. He looks MUCH fatter, shorter, and far less healthy.

A MAGA friend of mine insists Donny is in great health because he plays 18, sometimes 36, holes of golf on a regular basis. Uh-huh. IF he was toting a golf bag around the course and walking from hole to hole, maybe. But Donny doesn’t walk the course. He drives it in a golf cart. Being the lazy miscreant he is, he’s figured out a way to “get some exercise” without ever risking any of that nasty exercise…

Hey, yet another trump ally has been arrested on charges of child sexual abuse. His name is Robert Morris. THIS guy was Donny’s “spiritual advisor.” Holy gods, does that make sense. I won’t say sexual impropriety is a requirement to work for Donny, but it does seem to be a leg up. AM I being hyperbolic? Let’s look, shall we?

It’s important to remember, these are allegations. Of course, these are also rich and powerful people with the ability to silence criticism and/or buy off victims. So who among trump’s team stand accused? Elon Musk, Matt Gaetz (remember him?), Pete Hegseth, and Robert Kennedy, Jr. Hell, there’s even a woman accused of facilitating child sexual abuse, Linda McMahon. Those don’t even include his other “team” of Jeffrey Epstein and Ghislaine Maxwell.

And now Robert Morris. Morris is trying to act contrite. He has called it a consensual affair in which the “young lady” seduced him. Just kind of standard pervert b.s., really. He describes it as just “kissing and petting, not intercourse.” To cover his bases, he threw in a “…but it was wrong” at the end, there. Jeez, you think? She was twelve. He just couldn’t resist that hot little twelve year old when she seduced him. It’s people like him that make me wish I could believe in hell, you know?

He wants credit. He thinks he deserves applause for pleading guilty. “Oh,” say his people, “he’s taking responsibility.” Is he? He was sentenced to 10 years for his crime, but he only has to serve six months. I may have put my finger on a reason why so many perverts feel free to assault girls. Six months? SHE has to carry the burden of his choices for the rest of her life. That seems like a more appropriate sentence for the perpetrator, as well, yes? No, I wouldn’t want to go to prison, either. Not even for six months. But six months isn’t enough time to serve for doing what he did…

Holy crap, Stephan Miller went on a talk show and said, out loud, that the President has “plenary authority.” That’s a word worth looking up, plenary. It means, “Complete in all respects; unlimited or full,” and “Full; entire; complete; absolute.” Then he shut his stupid mouth and stood statue still, pretending technology had failed him.

The truth is, he messed up. He said the quiet part out loud. He realized his mistake, didn’t know how to get out of it, and dropped into hibernation mode as a dodge, like an opossum. According to the Constitution of the United States of America, the President does NOT have “plenary authority.” But a dictator would, so long as we’re no longer troubled by that pesky Constitution…

I watched bits of the Pam Bondi evasion dance in front of a Congressional committee the other day. She bobbed and weaved. She sneered. She pitched insults and whined about being insulted. She did everything except answer questions. For that, I give her the win. She didn’t WANT to answer questions and she didn’t answer questions. Remember, the regime doesn’t need to “win.” They need only to NOT lose. She made a fool of herself, but they never laid a glove on her.

It struck me that she was acting like a petulant teenager. Then I realized that’s pretty much the strategy of ALL of Team Evil. THEN I realized that the best way to respond to these children is the exact same way I would respond to my own petulant teenager. I didn’t back down from them when they whined, “Don’t call me a liar!” I said, “Well, you’d have to stop lying, first.” I think that’s the way Americans need to handle these usurpers. Straight up, in your face, exactly the same way one would with any brat of a child…

If I had been sitting on that committee, my first question would have been, “AG Bondi, do you know anything?” because she spent a great deal of time claiming she saw nothing, she hears nothing, she knows nothing. Either that, or she deflected to Kash Patel, her subordinate who, apparently, is doing all kinds of things without her knowledge or permission. But even being seen as an unqualified, out-of-touch supervisor is better than answering a question honestly from these guys…

Set In Motion…

Well, it looks like Israel has decided to stop bombing Gaza for a while. The world is referring to it as a “cease-fire.” It seems, to me, more like a hostage deal. We’ll all find out about ceasing fire later. Don’t get me wrong, I’m okay with a hostage deal. It’s a beginning. But the fundamental agitants that exist between Israel and Gaza are still there.

What, you think Israel is going to stop building new settlements in disputed land? Do you think the wall surrounding Gaza is coming down anytime soon? Does it seem likely that Israeli control over the region will become less hostile? I’ll say, “time will tell.”

I’m hoping Hamas gets dissolved but I suspect whatever group takes over will, itself, become more hostile and then downright militant – and then the whole thing heats up again. I think Israel and Palestine have been at war since 1948, when the Israelis threw the Palestinians off of ancestral land soon after Israel was declared an independent nation. I think constant Israeli encroachment will continue to “flick the beards” of the Palestinians.

Sadly, I don’t think the Palestinians will do anything to help themselves. They need to win in the court of public opinion, because they’re not going to win in a hot war. But still, from time to time, they choose hot war. It’s dumb. It’s dangerous. It’s destructive. It’s always deadly.

Over all of it is the suggestion that Netanyahu is in legal trouble. He faces allegations of bribery, fraud, and breach of trust. It’s no wonder Donny likes the guy. Birds of a feather, you know? There has been much speculation that he’s keeping the war alive because the war keeps him in power and out of jail.

The GOP, Israelis, and the Palestinians are hailing Donny as the architect of the peace plan. That may be so, but I’ll need to see some of that peace before I start partying. Hope springs eternal and people have been suffering for so long, I can understand why they start celebrating before the ink is dry on a deal not yet fully hammered out. But that “deal not yet fully hammered out” part is doing a lot of heavy lifting at the moment. Fingers crossed…

Here’s a thing that’s important to remember: Americans know Donny and co are lying. For their part, Donny and co know that Americans know that Donny and co are lying. So, how can they just stand there in front of cameras, knowing we know, and lie, lie, lie? That’s pretty easy. Those lies aren’t for you. They don’t care that you know they’re lying. Those are soundbites intended to be fed into MAGA media and put on a loop – to keep them confused.

You see, MAGA doesn’t know Donny and co are lying. Yes, I get it, they should. But they don’t. What are YOU going to do about it? That’s right. Nothing…

MAGA Mike, the Johnson, says, “Republicans are the party working around the clock every day to fix health care.” In reality, Republicans are the party working around the clock every day to prevent the release of the Epstein files and have fled Washington DC in order to keep from having to take a vote on the release of the files. The fact that it gives them a convenient excuse to not negotiate on the health care issue is just gravy.

You see, Adelita Grijalva just won a special election. She’s a Democrat and has said she’ll be the 218th signature on the Thomas Massie’s petition to release the Epstein Files. SO… the Johnson refused to swear her in and then sent the cons in the House home for awhile. Cowardly, but effective, I guess…

Deadbeat Donny says he may not pay government workers who have been furloughed. He’s trying to be coy about it, suggesting he’ll pay some, the worthy ones. Not paying furloughed workers is a violation of the law. It’s a law that was passed after the longest government shutdown in US history in 2019. I know MAGA doesn’t like stuff like this, but look at your calendar.

Who was “President” in 2019? Why, yes, that would be Deadbeat Donny, the First Felon. Who was responsible for the longest government shutdown in US history? Yes, that’s correct. That, too, was our inglorious misleader, Deadbeat Donny. Who signed the subsequent law, ensuring that workers get paid? Oh, you’re on a roll. Yes, it WAS 47. Now he says he might not honor his word.

To say I’m surprised is to put it… nah, I’m not surprised. He’s made an entire career of not keeping his word and not paying people he owes. That’s what MAKES him a deadbeat – he doesn’t pay what he owes.

There are all kinds of workers out there who depend upon government paychecks. Many of them still have to work, even though those paychecks aren’t coming. But workers generally don’t work just for the thrill of working. They want – even need – that paycheck. Take air traffic controllers as one example. They’re expected to work. They expect a paycheck. They’re not getting the paycheck so several of them are not working.

There’s a sudden outbreak of a certain kind of flu, blue flu, I think they call it. It’s a term first ascribed to cops who used calling in sick as a kind of protest without going on strike. Now the ATC’s are doing it, too. There was a period of about six hours when Burbank airport had no controllers on duty at all.

Burbank’s air traffic was handled by an FAA facility in San Diego. Don’t let that bother you if you’re getting on an airplane today. Oh, also? IF you’re getting on an airplane today, don’t get on an airplane today. Studies have shown that Air Traffic Controllers are pretty important to, you know, controlling air traffic.

HE says he has fixed the economy. Those of us stuck living in it know that’s not true, whether MAGA confesses that or not. And we all know, when Donny is saying the economy is better than ever, the economy is in desperate trouble, right? So what happens as the bills stop being paid by all the furloughed workers?

What happens when bills stop being paid by laid off factory workers with no work because nobody is buying things? What happens as the damage trickles down, becomes a deluge, and drowns Americans? The short version? Nothing good.

And Deadbeat Donny is setting it ALL in motion…

The Father of Lies Begets…

Aw, crap. Do you know what today is? It’s the first Monday in October. That means the Roberts Supremely Corrupt, Kangaroo Court re-convenes and starts issuing more of those “transformative rulings” they’ve been making. When it comes to these guys, “transformative” is a euphemism for “bullshit…”

“His city is a war zone and he’s lying so that criminals can go in there and destroy people’s lives.” (I added the emphasis.) That’s a claim by dog-killer Kristi Noem, and it’s a dumb one. Just think about it for one second. Noem is claiming that the mayor of Chicago, Illinois, Brandon Johnson, WANTS criminals in his city to destroy people’s lives. IF that makes sense to you, you probably require constant supervision.

Mayors don’t want crime in their cities. There are probably some who oppose crime unless they, themselves, are the beneficiaries of the crime, but most mayors are not beneficiaries of street crime. Noem insisted on Fox Not-News that residents supported the government intervention. I’d guess that if you beat the bushes hard enough, you might find a handful that do. But millions, billions, and kajillions do not. (Hey, this ‘making-up-numbers-as-you-go-along’ thing, like the cons do, is kinda fun!) Kajillions. Who knew?

Meanwhile, US District Judge Karin Immergut, (a Trump appointee, no less) has temporarily blocked deployment of any national guard troops to Oregon. The judge seems to be using the logic that saying a city is a war zone does not, in fact, render the city a war zone. It turns out, a couple of hippies standing around with protest signs in front of ICEhole headquarters doesn’t constitute a war zone…

Speaking of protests, I saw a group of Jews, led by a couple of Rabbis, marching in protest against the actions of the Israeli government in Gaza. It’s going to be quite the laugh when the morons in the White House try to label this group anti-Semitic…

Hey, I learned a new word today. Despite all of the chaos going on around us, now is probably a good time to remember that Donald Trump was best friends with Jeffrey Epstein for something like fifteen years. The evidence is still sketchy but from what I can see, Donny didn’t just participate with Jeffrey as a “beneficiary” of the child sex trafficking, he was part of the scheme.

Since the whole goal was to have sex with girls under the age of eighteen, everybody has been calling 47 a pedophile. It’s the word we know. It turns out, Donny is more likely an Epheophile. Ephebophilia is the primary sexual interest in mid-to-late adolescents, generally ages 15 to 19. That sounds more like his preferred target group, mid-to-late adolescents…

Last week, Rep. Madeleine Dean (D-Penn.) cornered MAGA Mike the Johnson in a hallway and this exchange took place:
Dean: “The President is unhinged.”
Johnson: “A lot of folks on your side are, too. I don’t control him.”
Dean: “Oh, my God, please. That performance in front of the generals…”
Johnson: “I didn’t see it.”

“A lot of folks on your side are, too,” is Whataboutism that accidentally tells the truth. MAGA Mike knows the President’s (or in this case, The First Felon’s) mind isn’t working right. He doesn’t care. Then he tries to dismiss the insanity during the speech to the assembled generals with a blithe, “I didn’t see it?” Well you should have, Mike. You should be paying very close attention to what your madman is doing.

You might have heard when he mentioned to a reporter, later, that he’ll be largely protected by his corrupt court’s immunity ruling – but you won’t, Mike. Clearly, you’re protecting him, but are you protecting yourself, Mike? He thinks about himself and his future. You might want to give a little thought to your own, Mike. History WILL remember your name…

Ah, yes, about the shutdown. Democrats are fighting for the return of Affordable Care Act (ACA) subsidies that help people pay skyrocketing premiums for health insurance. The cons are just, “No.” Well, that’s not right. They DO have their lie, “Dems want to give health care to illegals.” But they KNOW that’s a lie. They know the Dems aren’t trying to give health insurance to illegals.

Besides, undocumented people CAN get health care and they do – at hospital emergency rooms where it’s illegal to turn anybody away, and for vastly more expensive care. Sure, it’s stupid but the cons are in charge so “stupid” is the order of the day.

So, here’s the catch about this shutdown. Let’s pretend the cons suddenly, for some reason, decide to get reasonable and do the right thing and return the subsidies. Now the left and the right have a deal in place and the legislation passes. How does one stop the grifter in the White House from just stealing the money, instead?

Despite the actual words written in the actual US Constitution, the way-high court has decided the Constitution is quaint, but not intended to constrain the worst impulses of his troubled mind. They’ve decided that if 47 wants to withhold money Congress has approved, he should be able to do that. So even if Dems and cons come together on an agreement, how do they get 47 to honor the thing?

That’s always the challenge when one is dealing with con-men and grifters, isn’t it? When a person won’t honor an agreement, it’s like there’s no agreement at all…

Those are actual quotes posted on social media in one post, by one guy. I’ll just let you guess which one. “Totally unabated or challenged?” It sounds like he’s trying to use big words he doesn’t fully understand. “…get on board or get off board?” Yeah, that’s a thing people say, except that it isn’t. “65%” in Popularity? In what world? Which poll? I suspect it’s the “In Donny’s mind” poll. The only polls I see say his popularity hovers just above the MAGA line, 30-35%. Even at that, I’d say there are several MAGA, out there, who won’t confess doubt to pollsters, but will among themselves.

Speaking of which, I’ve learned something about life in Nazi Germany. The people DID know Hitler was a babbling buffoon and they, likely, DID say so to each other, in private. I base that on conversations I have with like-minded people about MAGA and Donny. It’s nice to get historical insights. I just wish it hadn’t come at the expense of the nation I loved…

Project 2025, In Progress…

Hey, remember when Donny swore up one side and down the other he knew nothing of Project 2025 and had absolutely, positively nothing to do with it, whatsoever? Yeah, he lied about that, too. Oh, I’m shocked. Shocked, I tell you.

MAGA will tell you I’m misrepresenting what he meant or said, or in this case, posted. So let’s see, shall we? July 5, 2024, during the “election,” after details about Project 2025 started to be a thorn in his campaign trail side, our Fearful Misleader lied that he had, “no idea who is behind Project 2025.” He added, “some of the things they’re saying are absolutely ridiculous and abysmal,” and that “anything they do, I wish them luck, but have nothing to do with them.”

So, that’s why MAGA believes what they believe. But the truth is, Project 2025 was put together by the evil Heritage Foundation, a conservative stink tank. It was primarily overseen by a guy named Russell Vought, a stink of a conservative. It has all kinds of mean and nasty things rich people want to do to everyone else. In fact, it came across as so mean and nasty, many people simply dismissed the threat. “What, do you think they can pull that off here? In the United States? Get real!” Okay.

Forty-eight percent. Donny has infested the Oval Office (this time) a little over nine months and the “baby” he’s birthing is a grotesque mockery of a decent government. Forty-eight percent of Project 2025 has been completed! In a little over nine months. By Donny and Team Evil. Implementing a program he claimed he had no idea about but now gleefully inflicts on Americans AND MAGA equally. (Only MAGA is surprised.)

In fact, between the evil he’s inflicting on the US in general, and the specific evils he’s visiting on those he considers political enemies, it’s hard to find a happier guy. He gets genuine joy, watching his “lessers” suffer. There’s a website, ‘The Project 2025 Tracker’ (click here). It counts 318 proposals. It lists 118 completed and 67 in progress.

Here’s a short list of some of the 67: End the Flores Settlement Agreement (which sets basic standards of care for immigrant children in custody), “downsize” the Office of Oceanic and Atmospheric Research, which focuses too much on “climate alarmism,” Direct the military to assist in building border wall, Ban “critical race theory” and “gender ideology” from public school curriculum, Repeal the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act (IIJA), Eliminate carbon capture utilization and storage programs, End taxpayer funding of Planned Parenthood, Eliminate the HHS Reproductive Healthcare Access Task Force and install a pro-life task force, Privatize TSA screening, Cut off DOJ grants to states/localities that do not cooperate with Trump’s immigration plans, Terminate the Public Service Loan Forgiveness program, Eliminate DEIA programs in Labor policy, Close the Office of Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion; treat the participation in any DEI initiative as per se grounds for termination, Repeal the Corporate Transparency Act, Require the FAA to “operate more like a business,” Weaken federal employee unions, Remove all unions in the Dept. of Homeland Security.

That’s a hell of a list – and I’ve only selected a choice few. There’s a LOT more stuff they want to do to you and NONE of it is going to benefit you or feel good to you. Much of it will do you direct harm. It’s an agenda built to benefit the One Percent, racists, misogynists, and men. If you’re not in one of those groups, well, it sucks to be you…

There’s another “in-progress” item on the evil Heritage Foundation’s to-do list: Reduce the corporate income tax rate. This one, in part, is why our dysfunctional government is currently mostly not functioning at all. Greed. Remember, greed kills.

See, in order to starve the government of the money it needs to function, pamper the One Percent, and punish the working class, Team Evil has implemented massive tax cuts, both for (rich enough) individuals and corporations. In order to pay for those cuts, at least in part – they STILL add $3.4 trillion dollars to the deficit – Team Evil cut Medicare subsidies. Of course, MAGA doesn’t know about THAT, either.

See, MAGA was told that the $880 billion dollars Team Evil cut from Medicaid was all fraud, waste, and abuse. It defies logic that a governmental agency like Medicaid would allow $880 billion dollars of fraud, waste, and abuse to continue. If you want THAT kind of fraud, waste, and abuse, you have to look to the Pentagon – but nobody looks at the Pentagon. And, really, how DARE I even suggest it? I’ll flog myself appropriately later.

Meanwhile, people are already beginning to receive notices of increases in their health insurance costs for next year. I’ve heard that some people are receiving notices that their premiums are going to increase as much as 97%. Some people will be asked to pay over $800 dollars more – each month! Quick question: with the upper classes doing everything they can think of to impoverish the lower classes, how the hell is Joe Six-pack supposed to come up with an additional $800 a month to cover the increase?

So, the Democrats have dug in their heels. So have the Republicans. The Democrats to restore the Medicare subsidies that made health insurance affordable in this pseudo-free market, capitalist hellhole. Democrats don’t WANT to see millions of Americans (or MAGA, either, for that matter) lose their health insurance. For their part, Republicans don’t want millions of Americans (or MAGA, either, for that matter) to realize they’ve lost their health insurance to the Big Beautiful Bill forced on us BY the GOP.

Fortunately, the GOP has a proven, successful tool to help them get over the hump. They’ll tell a big, beautiful, but scary lie. “Democrats,” they lie, “want to give health insurance to illegals.” While I would prefer a national health care system that just treated whomever needed treatment, that’s not the system we have, here, in MAGAmerica, and in THIS country, it’s illegal for undocumented people to sign up for the Affordable Care Act.

We, the people, don’t DO that. Because, “Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me,” (Matthew 25:40) and “whatever you did not do for one of the least of these, you did not do for me.” (Matthew 25:45).

Democrats are trying to restore funding for the premium subsides for American citizens, MAGA, and no one else. Republicans have a message of their own: “Screw you, Jesus!” It’s a bold message, but they’re running with it. I stand with Jesus and the Democrats on this one…
