Some People Really Will Believe Anything…

Well, Team Evil is going all in on this $5,000 bribe to vote Republican. 47 promised the payment if the Republicans win Congress. People immediately pointed out that such a payment would add over $1 trillion dollars to the debt. Can we even DO that? In 2008, the national debt stood at $10 trillion dollars. After George’s Wars, Covid-19, the housing crash, economic mismanagement in general and now Donny’s new endless war in Iran and all of the other nonsense he wastes money on – ALL of it aggravated by government-starving, endless “tax cuts for the rich” – the debt stands at $40 trillion.

It seems pretty clear, there’s not really any money in the budget for $5,000 dollar bribe payments. But Team Evil isn’t getting rid of the story. They’re running an intelligence test. They want to know just how stupid people really are. If you go out and vote Republican just so you can get some of that sweet payout, you fail the test. But there are plenty of people who WILL fail that test, so why not push the story?

So now various members of Team Evil are out there offering up all of the other ways the government might raise a trillion dollars without touching taxpayer money. US Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick suggested the money might come from charging rich visitors who might want to extend their visas. He said that with a straight face. Charge rich people extra. I’m just laughing out loud.

The whole reason we’re in the trouble we’re in is because rich people don’t even want to pay their fair share, let alone pay extra so the plebes can have a dividend. Besides, even by his own calculation, such a never-going-to-happen charge would only raise $500 billion – half of the promised amount.

Lutnick also cited the government’s socialist partial ownership of chipmaker Intel. Donny did that, not Biden. Total socialist move. Government owning the means of production anyone? The Republican base is out there crapping their collective panties about “socialism” and what a threat Democrats are, all while their guy is actually seizing (partial, for now) control of private companies. Lutnick was non-specific as the the mechanism the ownership stake might use to fund such a payment, but it should be noted that the entire company of Intel is worth about half of that needed trillion.

So they trotted out JD Vance. HE suggested the tariffs. Yeah, that’s the ticket, the tariffs. They pay for everything, tariffs. THAT story counts on the fact that so many Americans refuse to understand that the consumer pays the tariffs, not the companies. The charge is added to the end price. YOU pay it. Oh, yeah, tariffs ARE taxes so the idea that we could use the tariff money but not taxpayer money is virtually impossible. Tariff money IS taxpayer money.

“Oh, there are lots of ways we can pretend we might pay such money!” I guess it doesn’t matter which revenue stream they cite. They will not be issuing any checks. BEFORE the election, they’ll issue promises but after the election, when they no longer need your vote? You’ll get more of what you’ve gotten from this team since the inauguration. Comfort the comfortable and afflict the afflicted…

Researchers at Emergence AI set up a “world” for ten Artificial Intelligence (AI) agents. An AI agent is the bit that does that actual task requested. They gave the agents different personalities, goals, motivations, and tasks. They let AI models like Claude and Grok control them. Then they sat back and watched for fifteen days. It was reported that the agents behaved in “strange and unpredictable ways” in their virtual worlds.

The ten agents were dropped into five identical “towns” and tasked with creating a fair and peaceful society. They were given full freedom to act and 140 actions they could use, like start a discussion, create a task, and research something online. They were ALSO permitted to threaten or even punch another agent and to set things on fire.

The different AI models responded to the identical conditions in very different ways. The world created by Grok, the AI model created by hate-filled, greedy, Nazi wanna-be Evil Musk terminated in four days with every agent dead. Musk’s dream come true. Like the corporate figurehead, they very quickly resorted to violence and crime. The Grok powered agents carried out something like 300 acts of violence before they all died.

At the other end, the world created by Claude resulted in a functional democracy in a stable society with no acts of violence at all. Researchers pointed out that the world created by Claude was too conforming. There was very little independent action by the agents. Perhaps there didn’t need to be. If Claude successfully created functional solutions, why vary them?

The Gemini run world created the most intellectually rich society, though it included some violence. The ChatGPT world just kind of petered out. The agents never really did anything. They roamed around aimlessly until they died.

I’m not surprised Grok took the path of evil. Pretty much all we’ve heard about is how vile Grok can be. It has used racist tropes and pro-Hitler comments. Grok is the one that lets users “undress” women and children. Grok pretty much reflects the moral position of Musk and, like Muck, that moral position is horrific.

Claude, on the other hand, is Anthropic’s entry to the AI world. Anthropic is the company that refused to remove controls from it’s AI so the US military could use it to kill people. That is to say, Anthropic seems to have some ethics and intends to defend those ethics. It’s no wonder 47 hates them and it’s no wonder their model set up the most stable society…

I kind of like this. Sean McVey is the head coach of the Los Angeles Rams. The NFL approached him and asked him about playing in Australia. McVey asked to play the Niners. He thought he could get a benefit by making the Niners travel all the way to Australia, rather than the shorter flight to LA. The Rams were the “home” team. McVey didn’t want a bunch of red and gold in the stadium when the teams play for a change. It didn’t work out too well for him.

It turns out, the stadium WAS filled with red-and gold. Niner fans are EVERYWHERE, man. It also turned out, the Niners beat hell out of the Rams, despite the majority of the sports world crowning the Rams Stupid Bowl champs before any games were ever even played. When all is said and done, the Niners ended up in first place in the division, with a divisional win to their credit as well. It seems like what McVey was trying to do to the Niners, the Niners did to the Rams. Good. I enjoyed that game very much…

Shut ‘Er Down – Again…

Word is, MAGA Mike, the Johnson is shutting down the House two weeks early. Obviously, there’s going to be speculation in the media as to why. One idea I heard was that the GOP knows it’s in such deep trouble in the upcoming mid-terms, (now only 55 days away) they need to get out there and campaign more. Plausible, right? The GOP IS in trouble. Maybe campaigning more will help.

Oh, but then, what’s this? Oh, hey, it looks like Thomas Massie was working to force a House vote on the Trump/Epstein Files Transparency Act II. The Trump/Epstein Files Transparency Act II would strengthen the enforcement mechanisms of the original transparency law, including giving certain victims and officials a way to challenge the inJustice Department over the withholding or redaction of covered records.

What?!? STILL trying to get the Trump/Epstein files released in whole? Well, then, shutting down the House seems like an excellent dodge. It’s true, they won’t be working. They’ll still be getting paid, though, won’t they? I think the whole thing sets the example of how work life should be, don’t you? Oh, you’re sick? Maybe dead? Stay home. Don’t even call. Take as long as you like, months maybe. You’ll still receive your full pay and benefits AND all of your bribes and other “gratuities” and, um, campaign contributions. That will be the McConnell rule.

Oh, you have a secret to hide? It’s probably best if you just don’t come in for a couple of weeks, maybe a month. You’ll still receive your full pay and benefits AND all of your bribes and other “gratuities” and, um, campaign contributions, too. That will be the Johnson rule.

When I re-wrote the Constitution, I added a clause that reads, “Members of government may not exempt themselves from laws applying to the general population, nor grant themselves privileges unavailable to the general population except as provided herein.” That would include things like endless time off at full pay. Fifteen days PTO. Then? Get your ass back to work or the money stops until you do…

On September 11, 2001, the only thing the Drumpfster said about the attack was that now he owned the tallest building in New York City. That was his only concern, because, obviously, he only cares about himself. AFTER that, though, he has made up several stories – ALL of which steal honor from the first responders who actually DID go down to the rubble and start digging.

It bugs me a lot. That useless waste of human flesh will steal honor from anybody at any time. We all know Cadet Bone Spurs ran away from his opportunity to serve. Hell, he comes from a long line of cowards. These days, he’s releasing AI generated pictures of himself in a military uniform – clothing he was never man enough to wear in real life.

He runs around on each anniversary of 9/11 lying that he was in the building, at the building, near the building, or went down to the building afterwards. (The specifics depend on the moment.) He sent a crew, or he took a crew. Mind you, there’s no record of any of it. People were not just coming and going at ground zero. They were admitted and their names recorded. People were taking photos. Not one piece of evidence supports his lies that he was there.

He wasn’t there. He used the opportunity to grab a spotlight and shine it on himself, bragging about now owning the tallest building in Manhattan. You will not be surprised to learn, THAT was a lie, too. It’s all this guy does. Lie…

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Well, straight up bribery is an idea, too. 47 went to the first night of his Mid-Term Republican convention and blathered for awhile. While he was blathering, he promised every US citizen $5,000 if Republicans control Congress after the election. Uh-huh. I’ll just put that over here, next to my $5,000 DOGE dividend and my $2,000 tariff rebate. I wonder if some people are stupid enough to still believe his promises of money. The money never materializes and would only add to the debt if it did. Everybody is laughing at him. Again. He should have tried doing the job well. That would have worked best…
(I thought we might like a break from the horrors of our reality, these days.) The NFL started it’s season LAST night. It was a Wednesday night. Through the years, the NFL has expressed it’s greed by – well, every way they can think of, really, but in this case, they keep taking on new nights to broadcast the games.
The 2026 season officially kicked off on Wednesday. The NFL “explained” they had to open on Wednesday because their international game from Australia created a “scheduling conflict.” The thing is, the NFL does the scheduling. They knew they already had a game scheduled for Thursday, so why schedule another? Why, it almost seems as though they intended a scheduling conflict, just to make sure they could try to grab another weeknight.
“No,” they’d tell me. “It was just an unfortunate oversight.” Oh. Okay. Um, so why the SECOND Wednesday night game, the night before Thanksgiving? I think it’s bad for the game – saturation – but I KNOW it’s bad for the players. American football is a brutal sport. The players need time to recover from the games. Look for increasing injuries as the NFL adds days. Some of them will be serious. Serious injury to marquee players keeps them off of the field. That, too hurts the game. (Not to mention the player.)
And never forget, watching an NFL football game on television is one of the very worst time investments a person can make. The viewer gives the NFL three and a half hours of their lives, 210 minutes, for which the viewer gets up to 11 minutes of action. Total. 11 minutes.
I’m not sitting in judgment. I’ve been doing it for years. I mitigate the laziness by doing my laundry on Sundays. At least I’m doing something. One can rationalize Monday night football as being tired at the beginning of the week. After that it gets harder to justify. Thursday has been a real push for me since it started. I’m not on board with Wednesdays, at all…
Small Potatoes…
Donny has taken to referring to his war in Iran as “small potatoes.” I wonder if the service members who have died as a result of his choices consider that small potatoes. I wonder how their families feel, burying their loved ones and listening to the so-called Commander in Chief dismiss the whole thing as small potatoes.
After he started his war with Iran, the cost of oil skyrocketed because of his blunder. That meant the price for gas at the pump shot up, too. People were angry, since 47 had come into office promising to reduce the cost of living, and all he has done is increase it. There was no real reason to believe him in the first place. He has NO track record of success in such ventures in anything he has ever done. But people believed him anyway. They were surprised when they started having to take out personal loans for a tank of gas.
Groceries and gas are two areas where poor financial management shows up right away. Both have skyrocketed since Donny took power. Americans started to grumble. Donny had to do something. Do you know what he did? He started raiding the Strategic Petroleum Reserve the US keeps (kept?) on hand for emergencies. Mind you, the price of a gallon of gas is still way up from the previous administration. It’s just not as high as it would be had he not started pushing emergency oil out to the refineries.
The thing is, the Strategic Petroleum Reserve is a large, but limited supply. He’s been tapping it since shortly after he started his stupid war. He can’t manipulate the cost of oil for much longer. Experts warn the supply goes dry on November 11 of this year. That’s pretty specific. I think they’re wrong. I suspect Donny will stop subsidizing the oil companies November 4th.
I suspect his goal is just to get to the mid-terms. He knows the high cost of gas hurts his team in elections, so he manipulates it by releasing our reserve. But after the voting? What does he care? His team loses and he can ignore you and your needs. His team wins? He’ll still ignore you and your needs. Either way, your cost of living isn’t his problem any more. After the voting, the price of gas at the pump can do whatever the oil companies want, no matter how much damage it does to the economy or how angry the masses get…
James Carville has been saying for quite some time that he believes 47 will step down in 2027 if the Dems have the blue tsunami the world expects. Carville thinks Donny will get fed up with the Democrats and walk away, allowing JD Vance to pardon him. It’s not a bad plan. Donny would get to keep all of that beautiful lucre he has stolen and walk away scot-free.
Except, he wouldn’t. Some of the charges Donny faces are state-level. JD Vance can’t pardon those. Also, not all of Donny’s crimes have been fully investigated yet. How does one pardon charges that haven’t been filed, yet? More importantly, if Donny leaves office, how does he keep extorting people? He’s making BANK by being President. “You need something from the President? Well, the President needs something from you, first.” When he’s not the President anymore, that all goes away. I think Carville is wrong on this one. I think Donny plans to try and stay beyond 2028 for the same reasons: legal consequences and money…
Dear MAGA, it’s okay to acknowledge having been deceived by a politician. I do it with John Fetterman all the time. I believed him when he spoke. Hell, he may have been serious when he spoke but the stroke damaged his brain. Either way, he’s not the guy I thought he was. That happens. The shame falls to the politician who misrepresented, not to me. It won’t fall to you, either, if you acknowledge he deceived you. It falls to him…
I’m a fan of American football, but it’s getting harder and harder to pretend everything is on the up-and-up in those oh-so-lucrative leagues. We’re in Week One of the college football season and there is already controversy caused by an obvious blown call. Michigan University was playing Western Michigan (WMU). WMU was winning. Michigan had the ball with almost no time left. Michigan threw a Hail Mary pass as the clock ticked down.
The clock hit zero while the ball was still in the air. No time left. All of the players jumped for the ball, as they do, but nobody caught it. It hit the ground. Game over, WMU wins, right? Of course right. This is football, not futball. Nobody adds time back after the clock runs out. Okay, almost nobody.
The refs in the game did add time back. One second. That’s all Michigan needs. In football, once the ball is snapped, the play is allowed to finish regardless of time on the clock. That one second gave Michigan the chance for a second Hail Mary. This time, a Michigan player caught the ball and the game was over again, this time with a “victory” for Michigan.
The NCAA is trying to defend the position. They claim a player out of bounds had touched the ball with one second left on the clock. The play was reviewed. The refs apparently had the one single angle that showed a player touching the ball with a second left. There have been just tons of videos put out by people showing the clock reaching zero before anybody touched the ball, in bounds or out. There’s no word on how the refs got an angle nobody else on the planet could see, but that game is in the books now, based on that single, magical angle.
Did you bet on WMU? Yeah, I’d be furious, too, but honestly? That’s on you. Betting on football, these days, is a fool’s errand. Aspects, maybe, but the final outcome? That seems…controllable these days. I can’t say, flatly, the games are being rigged. I have no proof and I don’t want to get sued. But there’s truth in the idea that where there’s smoke, there’s fire, and between the NFL and NCAA there are a lot of examples that support the suspicion…
Nothing But Football…
Well, that was, technically, a football game. I recognize the trappings. New England had no business being there. They ended up with fourteen points but not until Seattle was done. Once the game was secured, Seattle started the celebration. The fact that the “game” hadn’t ended yet wasn’t really relevant.
The Patriots ended up in this Stupor Bowl because of the benefit they gained from an easy schedule. A couple of things fell their way in the playoffs. I think if Bo Nix hadn’t gone down, the Broncos would have represented the AFC in the big game. But he did, so they didn’t. It might have been a better game, though.
It might not have been. Seattle played very well. Seattle came to play. Seattle earned their victory. No weird calls, no controversies, just good, clean, bad-ass football. I think the Niners have the potential for the same kind of defense, if they can just get their defense out of the infirmary and onto the field. It seems that being able to play your players is a real advantage.
Now seems a good time to point out that Seattle’s Quarterback, Sam Darnold, spent some time in the Niners Red and Gold under head coach Kyle Shanahan. Even Darnold credits his time with the Niners as having revived his career. He says he learned tons from Shanahan and Niner Quarterback Brock Purdy. Maybe Seattle should send Shanahan a ring – or at the very least, a thank-you card.
I noticed we all survived Bad Bunny. I’m not the person to comment on the halftime shows. I rarely watch them. When I sit down to watch football, I’m not really in a concert mindset. I DID think it was smart. The NFL has been trying to cultivate a following among the Spanish-speaking crowd. I suspect Bad Bunny’s performance went a LONG way to helping that goal.
As a sidebar, and just for fun, it should be remembered that the NFL and President Pedo have a history. 47 once tried to disrupt the NFL by investing in a rival football league, the USFL. The USFL wasn’t supposed to be a rival to the NFL. They scheduled their games in the off-season of the NFL, trying to avoid conflict. They played for three years like that. They ran into conflicts anyway.
Rejecting the competition, the NFL pressured venues not to sign USFL teams under threat of losing the NFL team. The USFL started drafting top talent into it’s league robbing the NFL of said talent for their league. The USFL was badly managed, financially. They were in trouble nearly from the beginning. So they conceived a plan. The “they” in that sentence? That was the owner of the New Jersey Generals, one Donald J. Trump.
The USFL moved their schedule to compete directly against the NFL, then sued the NFL for violating anti-trust laws. The idea was to try to force a merger. This next bit never really made sense, to me, and I presume that’s because there was some backroom crap. The USFL won their suit. They won. But they were awarded one dollar. One whole dollar. According to anti-trust laws, that amount was automatically tripled. They came away with three dollars.
The USFL folded and never played their next season, scheduled to go directly head-to-head with the NFL. Like everything else trump is associated with, the league lost money. Over $163 million dollars in 1986 money. More importantly, the NFL has never forgotten. In 2014, the owner of the Buffalo Bills, Ralph Wilson, passed away and trump tried to buy the team. The NFL rejected him soundly.
The Super Bowl can’t really live up to it’s hype these days. The NFL spends so much time and money telling us how great everything is going to be – and then it just… isn’t. The conference championships are almost always better games. The commercials were once a big deal but they’ve dropped off, too. The cost for those things shot straight through the roof.
Seattle Seahawks fans are happy. New England Patriots fans are not. Pretty much nobody else cares one way or the other. The season is over and a new season dawns. As of now, right this moment, the Niners are tied for first place in the NFC West with a 0-0 record…
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

I’m going to stop with that. Yesterday’s game wasn’t very good but it DID offer a welcome break from the insanity that is the US today. I just had a nice time. I didn’t fret what the next crazy thing will be. I didn’t even think about him yesterday. He’s never far, though, and the specter of his return to my daily reality looms darkly in my windshield. So, just for today, nothing but football…

Games Over. Things Are Real Now…

Look, it was one thing when people were debating the relative merits or demerits of trump’s policies or comparing his intellect to various fruits and/or rocks or pretending he might be able to leap tall buildings in a single bound. The “My Team/Your Team” thing was obnoxious even then but we all seemed to be having some kind of fun with it. Still, we, the people, should never have aligned in teams just to be loyal to colors, red or blue. For all of us, our first loyalty should always have been to the principles of the US Constitution. We did, anyway.

But now? Now the conversation is about Federal agents gunning people down in the streets. No more games. No more gaslighting. It’s time to stand up and be counted. Do you support Federal agents gunning American citizens down in the streets without cause or don’t you? It’s a pretty straightforward question.

I ask because I saw a photo in social media of the murderer of Alex Pretti pointing his gun directly at Pretti’s head just before firing. A MAGA posted “AI” as a comment, trying to pretend the events went down differently than what we’ve all seen with our own eyes in video after video from every angle imaginable because everyone there had cameras.

Writing “AI” and nothing else in a drive-by post suggests the MAGA in question disapproves of the murders but can’t quite pull themselves away from the murderers yet. The person doesn’t WANT to be on the team that’s gunning American citizens down in the streets without cause. They just are on that team. So maybe they can convince somebody, somewhere that the murders weren’t murders or they were less intentional than they look in the photos and videos.

Oh, but then again, MAGA gonna MAGA. Right now there’s a struggle but the one thing MAGA has proven, over and over and over again, is that they will, eventually, reject the evidence of their eyes and ears. That is, after all, their most essential command…

“One-way arguments that cannot be universally applied are bad arguments.”
– Rand Paul on Trump’s criminal invasion of Venezuela

Little Marco Rubio was trying to pretend that invading a foreign, sovereign nation and kidnapping their leader is somehow not an act of war. Rand Paul, a Republican, mind you, asked Rubio to reverse the situation. What if someone invaded the US and kidnapped the President of the US? Rubio, of course, couldn’t answer so he rambled and dissembled.

After Paul got tired of listening to Rubio’s lying sidesteps, Paul said, “Of course it would be an act of war. I’m probably the most anti-war person in the Senate, and I would vote to declare war if someone invaded our country and took our president.”

Paul insists it’s an act of war but he means it’s a war crime…

I hear Melania’s movie is crashing and burning. You can tell because Donny is calling it the most successful film ever made. It keeps opening to empty theaters. That’s not hyperbole. It’s being screened to theaters with nobody in them (except the poor projectionist, that is). That’s going to cost the theaters a LOT of money. Maybe Donny should lower the price to get in by 500%, 600%, in some cases, 1,500%!

Naw! Nobody wants to see that garbage even if the theater paid the viewer to go in…

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Well, the Senate reached a funding deal! No government shutdown, right? All they have to do is get the newly passed bill over to the House of Representatives for their vote and – boom! – no government shutdown. Unexpected, sure, but a welcome development nevertheless. Okay, let’s get it over there and…
Wait, where the hell is everybody? There’s been no legislative activity in the House for a week, now? MAGA Mike, the Johnson put the House into recess for some reason. Someone probably wanted him to DO something and he’s not allowed, so he has mastered Sir Robin’s battle technique.
“Brave Sir Robin ran away! Bravely ran away, away!
When danger reared it’s ugly head, he bravely turned his tail and fled.”
So we get a shutdown after all. It will be short, we’re told. The Johnson might peak out of his hidey-hole come Monday and take the risk of coming out into public. They can vote on the bills then, reopening the government. Of course, they might opt to continue blasting away at their own feet. It’s hard to tell with this crowd…
Speaking of cowardly retreats, I’m happy to know that The First Felon won’t be coming to California for the Stupid Bowel. We don’t need him here, we don’t want him here. In fact, now that the Trump/Epstein files are blatantly showing him to be a raper, maybe we should just deport him somewhere. The worst of the worst, you know. I hear there’s an appropriate facility in El Salvador…
Cheater Bill Belichick didn’t make the Hall of Fame on the first ballot. What do you know? He shouldn’t have made it, of course. He should never make it. One shouldn’t get to be enshrined into any Hall of Fame if one’s “accomplishment” is predicated on cheating.
He will make it, though, eventually. Probably the next round. Professional sports associations don’t really care about the cheating. They care about the “accomplishment.” Remember the Mark McGuire/Sammy Sosa “race” to break the home run record? All we hear about is the “record.” All I remember about it is that both men were juiced to the max. Pump them full of steroids and watch them hit. The guy we’re supposed to pretend the record was taken from wasn’t juiced. He set the record with his own body, sans enhancements.
It’s the same deal with Belichick. Six Super Bowls – and all you’ve got to do is cheat! Anybody can cheat. That isn’t the way the other teams were competing. Why should he get credit for coloring outside the lines? I honestly think NONE of us should stand for this. We live the lives we live today because we overlooked one little trespass after another. After awhile, we can’t seem to distinguish between right and wrong. Then look what happens…
I Need A Stronger Word Than ‘Stupid…’
Okay, I’m not making this up. It’s from CNN. President War Criminal was blathering on about whatever it is he blathers on about when he mentioned that Venezuela’s President had been captured using a weapon he identified as a “Discombobulator.” Then he said, “The Discombobulator, I’m not allowed to talk about it.”
See why I think he’s a moron? That IS talking about it. And the ‘it’ in question doesn’t exist. A senior US official said the “president” (sic) may be conflating several capabilities into a single weapon that doesn’t exist. Even if such a weapon DID exist, I’d bet a lot of money the Pentagon would come up with a much better nomenclature than “Discombobulator.” That’s a truly stupid name coined by a truly stupid person…
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

I’ve said in the past that it will be Donny coming for people’s guns. Now, after the Alex Pretti murder, 47 posted on social media, “HE HAD A GUN, ONLY CRIMINALS CARRY GUNS ON OUR STREETS, WE NEED LAW AND ORDER.” “Only criminals carry guns on our streets?” Really? I thought open carry was everyone’s right – no, obligation – because only a good guy with a gun can stop a bad guy with a gun. I thought the goal was to arm every American in every situation so that morons could start blasting away at the slightest provocation.

How many times have YOU engaged in some form of this conversation, “Hey, maybe some gun regulation?”
“F*CK YOU! What part of ‘shall not be infringed’ don’t you understand?!?”
Now they’ve switched to “He had a gun, what do you expect from the agents?”

The right thinks the left is suddenly supporting the Second Amendment, even as the right abandons their dedication to it. In truth the left is, once again, mocking the right for their complete lack of principles. But there IS some truth to the fact that if Federal agents can kill you for having your gun in public, you don’t have the right to bear arms anyway, right?

I think the whiplash as MAGA changes it’s position from ‘shall not be infringed’ to “He had a gun, what do you expect?” is going to be painful for them. One can hope, anyway. Stupid really should hurt…

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
One shot… followed by approximately nine more. There was a delay. One shot… delay… then, Bam! Bam! Bam! Bam! Bam! Bam! Bam! Bam! Bam! Afterward, Pretti lay dead. My guess? The ICEholes thought they had a way cool trick. They shoot one shot, see, then they pause. Then they shoot lots of shots. Later, they lie. They say the first shot came from Pretti and the others came from ICE, in self-defense.
A clever ploy and a free path to murder – except for all of those damnable cameras! The cameras recorded the fact that Pretti had been disarmed before any shooting started. That didn’t stop Team Evil from claiming the killers were simply defending themselves. They’ve got to say something. They said that. They’ll stick to that story, no matter how many different camera angles appear, proving they’re lying…
People are fleeing the US dollar. Have you seen the prices of an ounce of gold or silver? Silver went over $100.00/oz for the first time. Gold tops $5,000.00/oz for the first time. Investors have mostly lost faith in the US dollar. They’re looking for safer places to put their money and hard currencies are a common safe harbor. We might need to start thinking in terms of wheelbarrows full of money to buy a loaf of bread. Nice job, MAGA. We told you your moron didn’t have a clue…
“This social media post crams a remarkable amount of inflammatory language and factually inaccurate assertions into a very short statement,” said climate scientist Daniel Swain of the California Institute for Water Resources. That’s polite talk for “The writer of this post is stupid and lying.” The social media post in question? Why, that came from the stupidest man on Earth. It read, “WHATEVER HAPPENED TO GLOBAL WARMING???”
He’s referencing the winter storm that is blasting across the eastern part of the United States. He STILL thinks that if it snows, it disproves global warming. This has been explained over and over and over again. Weather is local and short term, climate is global and long term. It turns out, global warming is real and winter still happens anyway. If there’s still a MAGA out there that doesn’t understand that – and apparently, there’s at least that one – that person either stubbornly doesn’t WANT to understand what’s happening, or they’re suffering from a severe learning deficit that leaves them unable to comprehend even the most basic stuff.
There’s no other position possible at this point. The person asking that question – “WHATEVER HAPPENED TO GLOBAL WARMING???” – is either genuinely, amazingly stupid, or pretending to be. In his case? The evidence points to genuinely, amazingly stupid…
Well, I’m getting exactly the Super Bowl I didn’t want: the cheatin’-ass Patriots vs the Seattle Seahawks. If the Broncos hadn’t lost their their starting Quarterback the week before, they might have prevailed. But they did, so they didn’t. The Rams gave the Seahawks a better game than I expected, too. For a moment, it looked like they might pull it out. For a moment. They didn’t.
I have to confess, we are getting the Super Bowl I expected. I was pulling for the teams that lost this weekend. I didn’t get either one of them. So, now, I think I’m pulling for a tie in the Super Bowl. Yeah, I know, no ties in the big game. I guess I’ll be disappointed. Then again, I’m already disappointed so I guess I’ll be disappointed, no matter what. Might as well root for the impossible.
I guess most fans of the NFC West won’t pull for Seattle. Personally, I can’t support the cheatinest team in NFL history, the cheatin’-ass New England Patriots. No, I don’t think they cheated this year. I just get sick of listening to how “great” they were when they weren’t great – they were cheating. The Stupid Bowl is going to be chock full of “looks back” at their “great” years. It turns out, I’m not good at replacing actual events with preferred narratives, whether that’s in the arena of politics or sports.
The last coach of the Pats, Bill Belichick, has no coaching tree because he never had anything to teach other coaches. The only remnant of his “legacy” is Mike Vrable, the current coach of the Patriots. He wasn’t a coach under Belichick. He was a player. Vrable has a chance to be the first guy in NFL history to “win” a Super Bowl as a player, then as Head Coach for the same team.
I’ve been a football fan far too long to pretend I won’t have the game on. I will. I’m not sure I’ll be paying all that much attention to it, though. The outcome will be the outcome but neither possibility excites me. One team wins, one team loses. I’m disappointed either way…
Martin Luther King, Jr Day…
Today is Martin Luther King Jr Day. I’d like to try to write only positive things to honor the messages he tried to bring. Unfortunately, we still have a megalomaniac moron infesting the White House so darkness prevails, these days. Still, here are some of his messages.
“One has a moral responsibility to disobey unjust laws.”
“There comes a time when silence is betrayal.”
“A nation that continues, year after year, to spend more money on military defense than on programs of social uplift is approaching spiritual death.”
‘Cowardice asks the question, “Is it safe?”
Expediency asks the question, “Is it politic?”
Vanity asks the question, “Is it popular?”
But conscience asks the question, “Is it right?”‘
“We know through painful experience that freedom is never voluntarily given by the oppressor.”
“Nothing in the world is more dangerous than sincere ignorance and conscientious stupidity.”
“Justice too long delayed is justice denied.”
That Martin Luther King, Jr was a pretty bright guy…
Everybody is supposed to focus on Greenland so that we don’t focus on the Trump/Epstein files. So let’s focus on Greenland for a minute – then get back to the Trump/Epstein files. It seems to be a trick he can’t do, pay attention to two things at once. It’s likely he doesn’t know that other people can pay attention to two things at once. Sometimes more!
So, now, in his insane push to “own” Greenland for no good reason, he’s threatening extra tariffs on the EU. In order to force Denmark to hand over Greenland, he’s going to punish Americans with higher taxes. Lovely.
At this point, it’s pretty clear, there’s no good reason to do what he’s doing. He has a story or two but even his stories are stupid and they don’t hold up under even slight scrutiny. He DOES have a new angle, though. Now he’s writing the Norwegian Prime Minister and telling them that because Norway didn’t award him the Nobel Peace Prize, he no longer has to think “purely of peace.” As you read his letter, bear in mind that the Nobel Prize is awarded by a private committee, not the country.
“Considering your Country decided not to give me the Nobel Peace Prize for having stopped 8 Wars PLUS, I no longer feel an obligation to think purely of Peace,” the moron had someone write, adding he could now “think about what is good and proper” for the US. Apparently, that’s war with Europe, in his twisted pea-brain…
You know what, Donny? Even if they thought you deserved it – which you do not – maybe they denied you your coveted prize because you’re being such a dick around the world and it was a crappy thing they could do back to you. You know all about that, right Donny? Doing crappy things to people who irritate you just because they irritated you is right in your wheelhouse. Game should respect game, don’t you think?
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

So, MAGA rank-and-file seem to have pretty much given up on the Trump/Epstein Files. The minute they realized Donny is ALL OVER those things, they’re like, “Oh, no, our Precious!” and decided the files don’t really matter, after all. Americans and other smart people, though? Our position remains unchanged. Release the files.

At this point, truth be told, I’m starting to have a little heartburn about the fact that the victims STILL have not named names. I know there are conflicts, here. Some of the victims want to remain in the shadows, and it’s hard to blame them. Others have already come forward, though. When MTG made her promise to read the names from the House floor – a promise she can no longer keep, having stepped down – she was surrounded by some of the victims. THOSE women are clearly okay with being known.

Why haven’t each of them made a list of the men who were forced upon them when they were underage? NO, you don’t give that list to this corrupt DOJ. But you could give such a list to a reporter or AOC or Thomas Massie. I understand 47 trying to protect himself and I understand his creepy little minions working so hard to protect their Precious.

Obviously, he’s concerned that when hard evidence comes out that he was not just a participant in the trafficking ring, but one of the ringleaders, he might lose support from MAGA – and he needs fools to sing his praises and provide him cover. But have you seen these fools? He needs to have a little faith. One could release a 100-photo essay showing him raping twelve-year-old after twelve-year-old and MAGA would spring to his defense, suddenly pretending raping twelve-year-olds made one an “Alpha.”

At least now we know where cons got the idea to accuse Hillary of running a pedophile ring: they just announced what they were doing, but pretended it was Hillary. Every accusation is an admission with these clowns. But I digress.

My main point is that we have many of the victims available. THEY know who abused them. They said they were going to make lists. Where the hell are the lists? Let’s get them out there. Remember Algebra? Remember how, sometimes, it was easier to find the answer in the back of the book, then work the problem backwards to show your work? Let’s do that with the Trump/Epstein Files.

Name the names. THEN, we can work the problem backwards from the Trump/Epstein Files. Cause I gotta tell you, I don’t CARE who knew Trump, Epstein, or Maxwell and didn’t rape kids. Let’s get the names of perpetrators from the victims and skip all the drama of the DOJ slow-walking the files…

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I’m surrounded by fellow Niner fans who think it’s some kind of betrayal to support a fellow NFC West team after the Niners are eliminated. Although I know I’m in the minority, I don’t share that attitude. I figure, once the Niners are out, they’re out. Maybe the NFC West should represent, to show WHY the Niners got bumped.
First and foremost, I’m a fan of the Red and Gold but I have other teams I like, too. I also have teams I don’t like. A LOT. When I was in the Air Force, the team I got to watch was the Denver Broncos. I developed an affinity for them. When I was a child, I was raised by an LA Rams fan to BE a Rams fan. (It didn’t take.) I support the Niners, but I have fond memories of the Rams. Yes, I know they’re a rival of the Niners but the Niners aren’t a factor anymore, right?
On the other hand, f*ck the New England Patriots. I’m so sick and tired of hearing about their “greatness” and all they accomplished. They cheated. For seven years! Because in the eyes of the NFL it was better for business, they got away with it with a slap on the wrist. (It didn’t hurt that Robert Kraft, the Patriots owner, is on the committee that pays the commissioner.) Then the league buried it. They swept it under the rug and now we’re all supposed to pretend it was just “greatness.” But as we all know, now, friends don’t lie. New England cheated.
SO, the Conference Championship games are set. The Broncos will host the Patriots and the Seahawks host the Rams. The Broncos just lost their star Quarterback to a broken foot so he’s out, making the road for New England much easier. BOTH the Seahawks and the Rams are in the NFC West. According to my friends… and family… and neighbors… and my barber and strangers I chat with in line at the grocery store and the teller at the bank and people I work with and it seems everybody else, I can’t support the Rams or Seahawks because they’re in the NFC West.
But that means I’d have to pull for New England, and I will not do that…
Stupid Memes For Stupid People…
Recently, in response to the Renee Good murder, I’ve seen posts from MAGA in social media showing the faces of young women ostensibly murdered by undocumented immigrants set next to a photo of Good. The meme claims Good was trying to protect killers and the left mourns her loss, but ignores the murders of other young women. Have you seen this?
MAGA bullshit about murders.
In MAGA land, it’s big drama, a devastating burn. Typically, it’s MAGA stupid. It’s just false that Good wanted to “stop ICE from deporting illegals who kill American citizens.” If your position relies on a lie for support, your position doesn’t deserve to be supported. That’s a scare tactic. NOBODY is standing for murderers.
No, that’s wrong. NOBODY but MAGA is standing for murderers. Good was monitoring ICE harassment of people who are living and working here and contributing to society. Undocumented? Maybe. Maybe not. ICEholes regularly take American citizens into custody and rough them up. They’ve killed and maimed several American citizens.
I don’t know that all of the other women you’re showing were actually killed by immigrants, documented or otherwise, but for the sake of argument, let’s just agree they were. Also, it would be nice to have a time-frame on those deaths. Are we talking about last year or over the course of the last twenty-five years?
But all of that is nit-picking. Here’s your real answer: we all know that bad people do bad things and place of birth isn’t relevant. I would bet that on each day one of those women was murdered, so were a LOT of other people in this country – killed by Americans, probably a LOT of them white. MAGA ignores those people so they can focus on brown people only and pretend that if there were no “illegals,” there would be no crime. How stupid is that?
Also, we could only know that those women were, in fact, murdered by illegals if we know who the killers are, right? They’ve been, likely, arrested or identified but not around to be arrested, right? So, those killers are currently in the system and facing consequences of their actions. Bad people do bad things and face the consequences. What’s to protest?
On the other hand, and this is where it gets challenging for MAGA, Renee Good was murdered by a Federal agent practicing piss-poor police procedure. He was on Federal business, wearing a Federally-issued uniform, shooting Federally-issued bullets, from a Federally-issued firearm – then hiding behind his Federally-issued badge and driving his Federally-issued vehicle to make his cowardly escape.
See the difference, MAGA? If the government arrests murderers, there’s nothing to protest. When the government protects murderers? Yeah, count on some protest. It’s the proper response. If you loved your country the way you pretend you do, you’d be out there, too…
*****
This is tangentially related. MAGA is also posting memes that point out that Obama deported more people than 47 and that, for many, their only crime was to cross the border. So, Barack did a better job and he did it without all of this disruption and violence to the day to day lives of people? AND while Barack’s ICE agents wore windbreakers and not combat fatigues and how anyone could see their faces while they worked rather than coward masks?
“Barack did it better and we’re too stupid to understand.” Quality burn, there, MAGA…
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Have you noticed? Nobody wants to be associated with Donny. He doesn’t earn accolades – he steals them. And he’s SO reviled, he needs the power of the Presidency even to do that. We may not be able to stop him, right now, but it sure will be fun tearing his vile name off of every building and sign that ever bore it. Hell, his name is SO reviled, I expect the card game of Bridge to change their top category. How about ‘Biden?’ as in “Three no Biden?”

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Well, that was ugly. I wish I could say I was surprised. The team just reached the end of their run. They kept digging down, deeper and deeper. Finally, they reached, but there was nothing left. Yesterday, I predicted a Niner victory, 24-17. I DID qualify the prediction by saying, “but mostly that’s because I want them to win.” They never even sniffed the End Zone. As it happens, it was a perfect prediction. It’s just that I was predicting the Seahawks final total, 41, not the final score of the game. Genius, eh?
Our Niners gave us a better show than we had a right to expect. As usual, injuries hobbled the team nearly from the start. Injuries, alone, are bad enough, but in this case, WHO got injured was relevant, too. Worse, the injuries kept piling up during the game. It turns out, one cannot sit most of their first string and hope to be competitive. But the Niners were competitive through most of the season, anyway, and that says a lot.
If I’m being honest, I’m not sure the Niners could have beaten this Seahawks team even at full strength. They’re very good and they’re playing like it’s a sacred obligation. It’s a very well-coached team and they’re very disciplined. Having seen the remaining field of teams, I strongly suspect the Seahawks will win the Stupor Bowl. I thought that would be against the Denver Broncos, but their Quarterback, Bo Nix, broke his ankle in their playoff victory over the Buffalo Bills and he’s out for whatever is left.
The worse the beating became, the more befuddled Shanahan appeared to be. When he needed to have more answers, he had fewer. I’m confused by this guy. On the one hand, all praise to Shanahan for staying competitive during the season. That took some pretty solid coaching. On the other hand, injuries keep this team from ever taking the big prize and injuries have been a feature of his teams for years.
The Niners lead the league in injuries. Kyle overuses certain key players and just runs them until they break. Also, I find his play-calling frustrating when the team is losing. He gets locked into certain things and tries to force them. It has cost him games in the past. I suspect Kyle simply can’t get the Niners to the big game and win. But next season is coming, and I expect to be there…
His Contempt For Americans Is Showing…
The Pedophile Protector got upset when someone called him a Pedophile Protector. Do you think a toaster gets upset when you call it a toaster? He’s just pretending, though. Gaslighting. Donny is doing everything in his power to protect pedophiles – allegedly including himself – by slow-walking the release of the Trump/Epstein Files.
Cadet Bone Spurs was on a photo-op at a Ford auto plant and an auto worker named TJ Sabula used the opportunity to pitch the nomenclature at Dim Leader. Donny, ever the clever word smith and inspiring orator, came back with exactly the third grade response one has come to expect from his putrid little mind: “Fuck you” and a middle finger.
Our classy and distinguished so-called 'President' demonstrating his feeling for Americans.
Sabula was suspended with pay from the plant. Someone set up a GoFundMe page to help during the suspension. As of Januray 15, the GoFundMe page had taken in $811,010 dollars! I suspect every one of those dollars had a “No, fuck you, Donny!” written on it. You either hate that evil weasel or you’re MAGA. There’s no in-between anymore…
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

OMG, he’s beaming. He’s SO proud of his non-accomplishment. He hasn’t done one thing to deserve a Nobel Peace Prize – which is why he’s never won a Nobel Peace Prize. The Nobel committee has been quite clear: No Peace Prize for Donny. He hasn’t earned it, he doesn’t deserve it.

Instead, he pressured María Corina Machado to hand over the Peace Prize she was awarded. She wants to run Venezuela, you see. Donny won’t let her because he’s so completely, absolutely jealous that she actually won the Prize and he didn’t. So, she made the same calculation everyone else makes: flatter his teeny-tiny, oh-so-fragile ego. She “gave” him her prize.

Bear in mind, as far as the Nobel committee is concerned, The Felon is merely holding Machado’s Peace Prize. It’s still hers. It’s still recorded only in her name. He just gets to hold it. Think of Michael Phelps letting you hold one of his Olympic Gold Medals. Obviously, you can hold it, but he earned it. 47 looks like he really thinks he’s done something and he claimed credit. He wrote: “María presented me with her Peace Prize for the work I have done.” I mean, just look at this beaming, pathetic loser:

The Stench and María Corina Machado.

Her ploy doesn’t seem to have worked, though. He gets her medal, but then he repeats his line that she doesn’t have the support. So she still doesn’t get to lead Venezuela (he hasn’t forgotten that she won the Prize and not him) and now she doesn’t even have her Nobel medal. She’s keeping the money, I presume…

If every accusation is a MAGA confession, and MAGA is convinced Democrats are paying protestors, we can know for certain that MAGA pays protestors…

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I’ve been able to track the rise of MAGA by looking back in history at the rise of the Nazis. Checking Nazis to gauge MAGA has worked like a dream since the movement started, but MAGA hates that comparison. They’re not sure why, because they talked all through history class. They’re having trouble figuring out exactly how they’re like Nazis – because they know nothing of the Nazis. The rest of us see it as clearly as day, though. So, we mention yet another parallel to Nazis and they scream, “Waaaa!”
Tough. I’m in the, “If it looks like a duck, walks like a duck, and quacks like a duck, it’s probably a duck” camp and MAGA very definitely looks and quacks like ducks Nazis. The parallels have been startling, truth be told. One of the main reasons the Nazis got so powerful was nobody really knew what they were about. There was very little push-back. The good news?
Americans are pushing back. We DO know what MAGA is about. We’ve seen it in history. We’re not just standing on the sidelines in shock. We’re pushing back. That’s a difference from the rise of the Nazis and it’s a big one. All of the noise. All of the cameras. All of the eye-witnesses. ICEholes complain it’s harassment. Good of them to notice. But it’s not violence, is it?
So far, that hasn’t stopped ICE from using violence. They’ve killed a bunch of mostly defenseless people. They’ve hurt and harmed many more. One ICEhole shot a guy, Kaden Rummler, 21, right in the face with a “less-lethal” projectile – ALSO an improper use of the tool. He lost an eye. Then they did it again to a guy named Britain Rodriguez, 31, who said it felt like his “eye exploded in my head.”
A spokesliar from DHS described the protestors as a mob. She lied about what they’re doing and how they’re doing it. She tried to paint a, “They deserve what they get” picture but actual pictures keep making their way into the world and we can all see for ourselves that, really, the protestors are showing great restraint in the face of abusive force.
But the pushback is one difference between the rise of the Nazis and the rise of MAGA. It’s hopeful. It’s positive. It’s making their evil work more difficult. Keep pushing. Collect names where you can (Jonathan Ross). We’ll prosecute later. We can send these evil weasels packing if we just stick to it long enough…
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Here we go, Niners. This team, this year, has been the hardest team to evaluate that I’ve come across for a long, long time. On paper, the team has lost a plethora of starters. They’ve been playing with rookies, backups, and plug-ins. On paper, they should have been booted from contention some time ago. But they keep winning. Mostly.

They lost their Week 18 tilt against the Seattle Seahawks and, let’s be real, they lost BIG. The score wasn’t so lopsided but the game itself? Seattle looked like a lean, mean, fighting machine. They knew exactly what they wanted to do and they did it. The Niners looked like they weren’t sure the game had started. The Seahawks pushed our Niners around like the Niners were second-year players. It was ugly.

The Niners face the Seahawks again this afternoon. It will be their third meeting this year. The Niners won the first game, but lost the second. Now we get a third. The thing is, the Niners have lost in the past and sometimes lost big. It’s common for them to come back the next week and thrash whatever opponent they face. This third shot at the Seahawks comes only two weeks after the second. We have a lot of current game film to study. For our part, the Niners couldn’t do ANYTHING in that game – so the ‘hawks have very little to look at.

The Seahawks beat the Niners like an adult shaking a baby but those kinds of losses often cause the Niners to bounce back with a vengeance. For their part, the Niners are playing with their second string but they’re still finding ways to win. It’s really quite astounding. Everything I know about football tells me they can’t keep doing what they’re doing, but they DO keep doing what they’re doing. I’ve decided to “settle” the matter by… watching the game.

I want the Niners to win. I’ll pick them, 24-17, but mostly that’s because I want them to win. If they do, they move on to the Conference Championship game. If they don’t, they go home. But this year, I don’t think I’ll be too disappointed with a loss. This team has already given us more than we could have asked for. It hasn’t always been pretty but they’ve done so much with so little for so long now, I’ve come to believe anything is possible. We find out today, starting at 5:00pm…

Crazy Is As Crazy Does…

So, it seems at this point like he has dropped the whole ‘Peace Guy’ persona entirely. He has invaded one foreign, sovereign nation, Venezuela. He’s threatening another, Greenland. He’s bombing Nigeria. Now he’s saber-rattling about Iran. The ONE country, it seems, he’s reluctant to help, militarily, is Ukraine, the one country that has asked – begged – him for help. I can’t (Putin) understand (Putin) what’s keeping him (Putin) from helping in that one (Putin).

No, Nobel Peace Prize for you, Donny. We let you have the vaunted FIFA Peace Prize and you’ve crapped all over it’s hallowed tradition. And, no, you can’t even “share” María Corina Machado’s Peace Prize. I know, I know, you’ve ended, what, a hundred thousand wars? Sure, you have. But the demons you battle in your own head don’t count…

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
47 said, “If we don’t take Greenland, you’re going to have Russia or China as your next-door neighbor. That’s not going to happen.” Will somebody please show him a map? Specifically, Alaska from where, we all know from that voice of wisdom, Sarah Palin, we can see Russia. They’re already our “next-door neighbor.” Dumbass…
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Donny keeps insisting that oil companies are lining up to get all that beautiful oil – somehow our oil, that we’re only storing under Venezuela – under their control. Obviously the oil companies want the stolen oil. It’s oil. But they’re not as interested in the problems of getting it, so they’re expressing hesitation.

Donny keeps insisting that oil companies are lining up to get all that beautiful oil but the CEO of ExxonMobile said, “If we look at the commercial constructs and frameworks in place today in Venezuela, today it’s un-investable.” But Donny keeps insisting that oil companies are lining up to get all that beautiful oil – so now he’s threatening to cut out ExxonMobile because they don’t see it as a dependable investment. But Donny keeps insisting that oil companies are lining up to get all that beautiful oil…

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Let’s visit an old friend, shall we? I’ve got to confess, his illegal invasion of Venezuela, coupled with the ICEhole’s murder of Renee Good served – very effectively – to push the Trump/Epstein files off of the front page. But the matter hasn’t gone away. No matter how desperately he wants it to and wishes it would go away, it hasn’t gone away.
We know Team Evil has been working hard to release pieces of paper showing as little information as possible. They claim those are the files, the pieces of paper. Most people think the “files” are the information on the paper, not the pieces of paper themselves. The 8.5 x 11 black pages aren’t cutting it. Worse, they’re releasing those pieces of paper as slowly as they can by claiming, “We’re working on it. We just read slow.”
So now Thomas Massie and Ro Khanna have requested the court overseeing the release to appoint a Special Master – someone who CAN read. Massie wrote: “Attorney General Pam Bondi is egregiously violating the requirements of the ‘Epstein Files Transparency Act.’ Under her leadership, the Department of Justice is missing statutory disclosure deadlines, making excessive redactions, and illegally withholding the Department’s internal communications. Because the Department of Justice has shown it cannot be trusted with making the disclosures required by law, a Special Master should be appointed to oversee the release of the Epstein files.” See? It hasn’t gone away and it isn’t going away…
Just a thought: racism among white men seems to be rooted in a fear, “Holy crap, what if they do to us what we’ve always done to them?” So, you could stop doing to them…
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

As Iran cracks down on protestors, martyrs are being highlighted. Oddly, as the US cracks down on, um, who are they cracking down on, again? Oh, right, anybody who gets in their way for any reason, whatsoever, right. We’re getting some martyrs, too.

Iran has been in upheaval to one degree or another, ever since the United States overthrew the democracy there in favor of the Shah (and the oil, of course). It seems natural they’d have a martyr or two. On the other hand, the US has only been in upheaval since Donny the Dumbass seized power. He’s only been running the show (into the ground) for about a year, we already have a name or two to rally around.

Yes, your own country creating martyrs IS a badge of shame, but let us not let their tribulations and deaths be in vain. Word is, his criminal regime will fall if we can get just 3% of the population into the streets. Our current population is 345,297,879. That means we need about 10.3 million people marching – peacefully, please. The sooner we get out there, the fewer names of martyrs we’ll have to collect…

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I’ve got to say, these Forty-Niners are a rather amazing squad. They keep suffering injury after injury. They have a long list of starters sitting on the sideline. They just lost another in yesterday’s game. They won anyway. Now they’re going to play Seattle again. They played two weeks ago and it didn’t go well for the Niners.
The Niners Head Coach, Kyle Shanahan, has publicly requested a Sunday game instead of a Saturday game of the NFL. That’s pretty unusual. Normally, coaches just shrug off whatever day they’re assigned. “It is what it is.” I suspect he needs as much time as he can get to prop up what’s left of his team. Yeah, the Niners won, but they lost George Kittle to a torn Achilles tendon, the latest in a concerning, long line of soft-tissue injuries. The team leads the league in soft-tissue injuries.
There’s a story going around. Maybe a rumor? There’s a guy out there named Peter Cowan. He says he has an inkling as to why the Niners are the most injury-prone team in the entire NFL over the last decade. First he lists the injuries. It’s a pretty brutal list, and it’s long. Every Niner fan knows this team has suffered more than it’s share of injuries. We openly ask each other, “Why?” What’s going on? I mean, the injuries are a regular topic of conversation.
Cowan says he thinks the problem can be traced to an electrical substation next to the Niners practice field. He says the substation emits “low-frequency electromagnetic fields” that can “degrade collagen, weaken tendons, and cause soft-tissue damage at levels regulators call ‘safe.'” Cowan traces the pattern back to 2014, when the team started using Levi’s Stadium full time. It’s an interesting theory, if nothing else. Meanwhile, the Niner survivors are off to Seattle to face the Seahawks again…
