TACO, In Davos…

Remember, the Dow is not the economy. The Dow is a CEO happiness indicator – and on Tuesday, it took a plunge. It fell 870 points while the Felon bragged about all of the “accomplishments” he imagines during one of his many, “Ain’t I great?” speeches. (For the record: No, you ain’t.) The plunge is the result of our National Embarrassment’s threats to tax the crap out of American citizens in an effort to punish Europe for not letting him steal Greenland. Yes, of course it’s stupid, this is Donny we’re talking about. But that’s the plan. BIG tariffs, paid by Americans, until Europe surrenders Greenland.

Is that any MORE stupid than saying you’re taking Greenland from Denmark because Norway denied you a prize they don’t control? The man – and I use the term loosely – is losing his effing mind. Is the US really going to war because one madman can’t be mollified?

No. As it happens, it was TACO Wednesday yesterday. Donny spoke at Davos, where the rich divvy up the spoils. He started with firm resolve in his voice. No, he wouldn’t use military force, though, he assured our allies, they wouldn’t be able to stop us if he did. But by God, he would have Greenland. He would make a deal for Greenland. He had to make a deal for Greenland.

“I’m helping NATO and until the last few days when I told them about Iceland, they loved me.” Wait, what? Iceland? He blathered on a bit more then added, “They’re not there for us on Iceland, that I can tell you. I mean, our stock market took the first dip yesterday because of Iceland. So Iceland’s already cost us a lot of money.”

This, of course, was old-man-losing-his-mind stuff. Anybody can misspeak. But he said Iceland four times when he meant Greenland – and he never seemed to have noticed. Look, he’s genuinely stupid. Maybe he thinks Greenland and Iceland are the same place. As a sidebar, KKKarolyin’ Levitt tried to cover for him by claiming he meant ‘Icy land,’ merely a poetic description of Greenland. Nobody (but MAGA) is buying because everybody (but MAGA) heard his actual words.

Here’s the thing: most of Donny’s “policies,” if they might EVER have worked (they wouldn’t) might only have worked, like, seventy or eighty years ago. The world is a VERY different place, now. Yes, the US has the greatest military on the planet and in history. But in the 1970’s, rich people decided they didn’t want to pay their fair share in taxes anymore and our national debt has been ballooning at an unsustainable rate ever since.

We cover it by selling that debt to the world. They buy our bonds, which we then promise to repay over time. American promises used to mean something, so people bought, meaning they hold the debt. That debt makes us FAR weaker than our military makes us strong. If they should, I don’t know, sell those bonds all at once, guess what happens. If you guessed “Stock Market plunge,” you win. No, there are no prizes. Just enjoy your good feelings. Yay, you.

So, while the most self-important and greedy people on the planet were all coming together for their economic back-patting meeting – THEY, after all, are doing great – the world started hearing about a plan from the European Union called “Sell America” and the Dow dropped 840 points. That was Europe telling our National Embarrassment, “Nice country ya got there. Be a shame if something happened to it, economically.”

But, and this point is speculation, because Donny is as dumb as any rock, someone explained it to him in private too. They went slow. They gave his dinosaur-like reflexes time to assimilate the information. “Stand down on Greenland (AND Iceland, you moron) or we crash your economy.”

The next time we saw Donny – no more speculation here – he was announcing he was over Greenland. “They” had worked out a plan. No, a framework of a plan. Well, he had a concept of a framework of a plan. You know, in the future. That’s the soundbite that will be fed into MAGA media. They have a concept of a framework of a future plan. Sure, it’s TACO but MAGA will actually believe he did something. There ARE none so blind as those who will not see.

When Donny was asked if the concept of the framework for the future plan included the US owning Greenland, he stopped dead in his tracks and said, “Uhhh…” That’s true. I’ve never seen him so stuck for a lie. He locked up for a moment before saying, “Duh, it’ll be great for everybody.” When asked how long the concept of the framework of the future plan would apply, he said, “Infinity.” At least that part is true. He doesn’t get Greenland, ever. Then Donny tucked his evil little tail and ran away. He’s outta there.

It was a pretty effective distraction. It lasted for several days. The Trump/Epstein Files never went away but they fell off the front pages for a time. So did Ukraine, where Putin was bombing the crap out of that country. But for the moment, Greenland seems to be over…

We don’t get too many bright spots these days but here’s one: There is no statute of limitations on murder. Jonathan Ross may look like he’s getting away with the murder of Renee Good today, but the future looms. Donny won’t last forever. Ross’s murder will. All we have to do is keep an eye on him for now…

Wow, based on social media activity, I’d say MAGA is being whipped into a frenzy again. They’re hearing that if the Dems take back one or both houses of Congress in November, cons are going to jail. That’s probably true, but if it IS true, it will be done by fair trial, with convictions based on crimes they’ve actually committed and can be proven, not on assertions and speculation. MAGA is being assured that such convictions will be “Lawfare,” yet another example where the right accuses the left of doing that which the right is actually doing.

MAGA will be loud, but they’ll be wrong. I hope the US does the right thing and convicts criminals rather than taking some political long-view that pretends Team Evil “learned their lesson” by losing an election. If criminals don’t go to jail, they don’t stop committing crimes. It’s pretty simple, really…

Martin Luther King, Jr Day…

Today is Martin Luther King Jr Day. I’d like to try to write only positive things to honor the messages he tried to bring. Unfortunately, we still have a megalomaniac moron infesting the White House so darkness prevails, these days. Still, here are some of his messages.

Everybody is supposed to focus on Greenland so that we don’t focus on the Trump/Epstein files. So let’s focus on Greenland for a minute – then get back to the Trump/Epstein files. It seems to be a trick he can’t do, pay attention to two things at once. It’s likely he doesn’t know that other people can pay attention to two things at once. Sometimes more!

So, now, in his insane push to “own” Greenland for no good reason, he’s threatening extra tariffs on the EU. In order to force Denmark to hand over Greenland, he’s going to punish Americans with higher taxes. Lovely.

At this point, it’s pretty clear, there’s no good reason to do what he’s doing. He has a story or two but even his stories are stupid and they don’t hold up under even slight scrutiny. He DOES have a new angle, though. Now he’s writing the Norwegian Prime Minister and telling them that because Norway didn’t award him the Nobel Peace Prize, he no longer has to think “purely of peace.” As you read his letter, bear in mind that the Nobel Prize is awarded by a private committee, not the country.

“Considering your Country decided not to give me the Nobel Peace Prize for having stopped 8 Wars PLUS, I no longer feel an obligation to think purely of Peace,” the moron had someone write, adding he could now “think about what is good and proper” for the US. Apparently, that’s war with Europe, in his twisted pea-brain…

You know what, Donny? Even if they thought you deserved it – which you do not – maybe they denied you your coveted prize because you’re being such a dick around the world and it was a crappy thing they could do back to you. You know all about that, right Donny? Doing crappy things to people who irritate you just because they irritated you is right in your wheelhouse. Game should respect game, don’t you think?

So, MAGA rank-and-file seem to have pretty much given up on the Trump/Epstein Files. The minute they realized Donny is ALL OVER those things, they’re like, “Oh, no, our Precious!” and decided the files don’t really matter, after all. Americans and other smart people, though? Our position remains unchanged. Release the files.

At this point, truth be told, I’m starting to have a little heartburn about the fact that the victims STILL have not named names. I know there are conflicts, here. Some of the victims want to remain in the shadows, and it’s hard to blame them. Others have already come forward, though. When MTG made her promise to read the names from the House floor – a promise she can no longer keep, having stepped down – she was surrounded by some of the victims. THOSE women are clearly okay with being known.

Why haven’t each of them made a list of the men who were forced upon them when they were underage? NO, you don’t give that list to this corrupt DOJ. But you could give such a list to a reporter or AOC or Thomas Massie. I understand 47 trying to protect himself and I understand his creepy little minions working so hard to protect their Precious.

Obviously, he’s concerned that when hard evidence comes out that he was not just a participant in the trafficking ring, but one of the ringleaders, he might lose support from MAGA – and he needs fools to sing his praises and provide him cover. But have you seen these fools? He needs to have a little faith. One could release a 100-photo essay showing him raping twelve-year-old after twelve-year-old and MAGA would spring to his defense, suddenly pretending raping twelve-year-olds made one an “Alpha.”

At least now we know where cons got the idea to accuse Hillary of running a pedophile ring: they just announced what they were doing, but pretended it was Hillary. Every accusation is an admission with these clowns. But I digress.

My main point is that we have many of the victims available. THEY know who abused them. They said they were going to make lists. Where the hell are the lists? Let’s get them out there. Remember Algebra? Remember how, sometimes, it was easier to find the answer in the back of the book, then work the problem backwards to show your work? Let’s do that with the Trump/Epstein Files.

Name the names. THEN, we can work the problem backwards from the Trump/Epstein Files. Cause I gotta tell you, I don’t CARE who knew Trump, Epstein, or Maxwell and didn’t rape kids. Let’s get the names of perpetrators from the victims and skip all the drama of the DOJ slow-walking the files…

I’m surrounded by fellow Niner fans who think it’s some kind of betrayal to support a fellow NFC West team after the Niners are eliminated. Although I know I’m in the minority, I don’t share that attitude. I figure, once the Niners are out, they’re out. Maybe the NFC West should represent, to show WHY the Niners got bumped.

First and foremost, I’m a fan of the Red and Gold but I have other teams I like, too. I also have teams I don’t like. A LOT. When I was in the Air Force, the team I got to watch was the Denver Broncos. I developed an affinity for them. When I was a child, I was raised by an LA Rams fan to BE a Rams fan. (It didn’t take.) I support the Niners, but I have fond memories of the Rams. Yes, I know they’re a rival of the Niners but the Niners aren’t a factor anymore, right?

On the other hand, f*ck the New England Patriots. I’m so sick and tired of hearing about their “greatness” and all they accomplished. They cheated. For seven years! Because in the eyes of the NFL it was better for business, they got away with it with a slap on the wrist. (It didn’t hurt that Robert Kraft, the Patriots owner, is on the committee that pays the commissioner.) Then the league buried it. They swept it under the rug and now we’re all supposed to pretend it was just “greatness.” But as we all know, now, friends don’t lie. New England cheated.

SO, the Conference Championship games are set. The Broncos will host the Patriots and the Seahawks host the Rams. The Broncos just lost their star Quarterback to a broken foot so he’s out, making the road for New England much easier. BOTH the Seahawks and the Rams are in the NFC West. According to my friends… and family… and neighbors… and my barber and strangers I chat with in line at the grocery store and the teller at the bank and people I work with and it seems everybody else, I can’t support the Rams or Seahawks because they’re in the NFC West.

But that means I’d have to pull for New England, and I will not do that…

One Fraud After Another…

Through the years, I’ve picked up a thing or two about the Dow Jones Industrial Average. For one, it’s not that anymore. Now it’s the Dow Jones index. It tracks financial stocks, not industry. Another, and this is important, is that the Dow is not the economy. I mention that one because of this one: the Dow, specifically, is nothing more than a CEO happiness indicator.

Corporate “news” likes to trumpet increases in the Dow as if it means YOU are doing better. But you aren’t, are you? You’re struggling more than, what, ever? The Dow keeps reaching record highs and you keep finding your wallet lighter and lighter. Nobody’s telling you, but the two are absolutely related.

After the Dow changed from an industrial index to a financial index, it’s meaning changed. When it was an industrial index, it measured the health and strength of the US economy. Now? Well, now it measures how well rich people are doing. Now, every uptick of the Dow means they have more and you have less. Every. Single. Tick, tick, tick. They have more, you have less. Tick, tick, tick. Celebrate a robust Dow at your own peril…

It’s weird to realize, but do you know who – more than anybody else – does NOT believe in Capitalism? Capitalists! Oh, you don’t believe me? Watch them. Actions speak louder than words. The story is about buying and selling. Succeed you win, mistakes, you lose. But that’s just the story. In reality, their “Capitalism” often consists of stealing and selling, not buying and selling. While it seems true that succeeding equals winning, in practice, mistakes don’t equal loss. They equal Socialism, where the population bails them out financially and gives them a second run at it. Then a third. Then a fourth. Then… well, ad infinitum.

Even Capitalists think Socialism is better than Capitalism, and you can know it if you just ignore their words and pay attention to what they do. Actions speak louder than words. I’ll tell you this: Since even Capitalists reject Capitalism, I think I will, too…

Okay, back to this. Sorry. I’ve been watching videos of the murder of Renee Good in Minneapolis. I’ve also been listening to Team Evil describing the events surrounding the shooting of a person in Minneapolis – apparently on the same day. Question: was there a second shooting in Minneapolis on the day Renee Good was murdered? One that nobody is aware of except the lying liars of Team Evil? Because the events they’re describing? Those events have nothing, whatsoever, to do with the events shown in the videos. None.

In the shooting Team Evil is referencing, the killer was run over by a vehicle and is now recovering in the hospital. In the Good murder, the killer kills the driver, spits an epithet at her dying body, then turns around and walks away. Then he gets in a car and drives off. That’s not what “recovering in a hospital” looks like.

Also, where is this driving school the puppy killer Kristi Noem pretends is out there? She said, it’s on video, that protestors are being trained to use their vehicles to drive into ICEholes. Really? Where? By whom? More importantly, why? How much training do you suppose that takes? But since it’s clear Good’s intention was to NOT hit Ross, either she didn’t get the training, or she failed the course, right?

I’ve heard two different concepts from Donny recently that I suspect are intended to seduce his base into thinking he’s doing something for them. The first was his proposal to stop Wall Street from buying single family homes and the second was to cap credit card interest at 10%. Both of those ideas would benefit work-a-day Joes.

But stopping Wall Street from buying single family homes would hurt their bottom line. Capping credit card interest rates would mean less money for the issuing banks. If you think Donny is going to do anything, anything at all, to hurt rich-people investments just to benefit working class people, I’ve got a bridge to sell you. (Again.) That is to say, I’ll believe it when I see it.

But it DOES prove that he knows there are things he could do to help the American people, right? He knows what to promise. That means he knows where, and how, we, the people, are hurting. Honestly, I don’t think he’ll do one thing for the working class. But at least we know he knows – so we also know, he just doesn’t care…

I really don’t understand The Felon’s obsession with Greenland. It’s important to note: Greenlanders don’t want to be part of the US, and why would they? Why would citizens of a First World nation want to move backwards into a failing, submerging nation like the US? It would represent a giant step backwards. Compared to Europe, the US is rather primitive. Greenland becoming part of the US would be like the US pulling out all of it’s plumbing and throwing it away.

Donny says he needs Greenland for national security. Not true. The US already has a huge military presence in Greenland. We already have permission to expand that presence. Owning the island won’t make any difference. I became convinced he really just wanted the natural resources available there, but then I saw Rasmus Jarlov, the former Danish business manager in an interview saying the US already has “unlimited military access to Greenland they that don’t use and they could extract all the minerals that they wanted if they would just put up the investments, so there’s nothing they need in Greenland that they don’t already have exclusive access to.”

So if he already has the military presence he needs and he already has access to the minerals, what’s the point? Based on everything else I’ve ever seen from the guy, he wants to steal something. Maybe the problem with extracting minerals from Greenland is that they might have to pay Greenland something for them. Then again, maybe he’s just insane and he can’t stop himself from starting WW III. It’s also an excellent plan to fracture NATO and we know his master, Putin, wants that.

There’s a case to made for pure stupidity, too, and Donny makes it, himself. “The fact that they had a boat land there 500 years ago doesn’t mean that they own the land. [I’m] sure we had lots of boats go there also.” So, Donald Trump thinks the US had “lots of boats” going to Greenland? 500 years ago? He said it, and Joe Biden didn’t make him say it…

Good football games yesterday. The Rams beat the Panthers and the Bears beat the Packers, both with exciting finishes. Bears/Packers was boring for three and a half quarters, then it really picked up. So next week’s schedule for the NFC is foreseeable. The Niners play the Eagles this evening. If the Niners win tonight, they travel to Seattle next week and the Rams go to Chicago. If the Eagles win tonight, the Rams travel to Seattle and the Bears host the Eagles. Either way, next week the Seattle Seahawks host an NFC West rival. That should be fun…
