Failed Morals…

47 steals his way into office and illegally fires a bunch of workers in the FAA. Then planes and helicopters start crashing. 47 can’t point to his own actions as the cause – he’s never responsible for anything he does – so he goes to a back-up explanation: outdated technology.

That is one of those stories that starts with a kernel of truth. The government DOES rely on outdated technology. That’s one of the earlier impacts of government revenue starvation – known more commonly as “tax cuts for the rich.” I mostly point to the GOP when it comes to government revenue starvation. That has been their stated goal for decades – starve the government of the money it needs to function, then blame the government for not being able to function.

The problem at the FAA has been in the making for decades. It has become highlighted, recently, because the only way to overcome inadequate technology was more Air Traffic Controllers and support people – the very people currently deemed ‘redundant’ and fired by Team Evil.

The very worst part about it? This has become an issue during the most corrupt and criminal regime in the history of the United States, bar none. You’re going to see an announcement that the system will be “upgraded.” Billions of dollars will be allocated but the contract will go to a crony, likely one of Muck’s safely government-subsidized businesses. Maybe the ATC system will be better. Maybe control towers will start bursting into flame. Who can say? But well-placed people behind the scenes will pocket piles of taxpayer money, rest assured…

I have to confess, sometimes I get compassion fatigue and when I see someone who supported Donny feeling the pain of that choice – pain they were hoping for others, not for themselves – I allow myself a little schadenfreude. Other times, though, I feel a little sorry for MAGA. I know that MAGA is the product of their conditioning but keeping up with that conditioning sometimes seems like it must cause whiplash.

MAGA has been screaming about a long list of various and sundry crimes and excesses they’ve been told are being pulled off by Democrats in government. (There’s rarely any evidence.) They’ve been made to understand these crimes and excesses – always and only committed by DemocRATS, of course – are bad things that must be stopped.

Remember Hillary’s emails? Of course you do. You heard about it 24/7 for, like, ever. It was a possible security breach. Lock her up! (What fun they had with that one.) But now? Now MAGA has a guy in the regime inviting reporters to confidential meetings – accidentally – while intentionally including people with no need to know. It’s not a possible security breach. It’s an absolute security breach. Lock him up? Oh, hell no. Instead, “It could happen to anybody.” It couldn’t. Oh, and it didn’t – until Team Evil took over.

Remember when the worst thing in the world was the possibility that Hunter Biden might be selling access to the White House? Oh, the huMANity! Heaven forfend! All one had to do was ignore the fact that virtually NO evidence of such action existed. MAGA just KNEW it was true. Now 47, himself, is starring in late-night infomercials directly selling access to the White House, along with a wide variety of cheap crap. “NOW how much would you pay?!?”

In fact, the grifter-in-chief has so many illegal schemes working it would take pages and pages to cover them all. But we all know them. Even MAGA has an inkling of what’s going on and that’s the part I’m empathizing with right now: how does MAGA blame the left for ANYTHING now that the right has come out with solid evidence of doing the same thing to a FAR worse degree?

They KNEW they were just pitching theories about the Democrats. No valid evidence was ever presented, but it didn’t matter. It was just part of the game. NOW they know they’re having to bat away actual evidence which, less face it, isn’t going away. They can choose to forget it for a while but it’s going to be there later, too. They can’t even blast into social media with “Whataboutisms” since nothing the left has done even holds a candle to the corruption of this regime.

Donny has taken the fun out of their social war by being far worse in every way than anything MAGA ever accused a Democrat of doing. Now they have to start defending actions they were just condemning only months ago – or risk facing the hypocrisy of their own positions. A stronger moral compass, a determination not to lie, for example, would have protected them from this trap…

We’ve all been watching the deportations, right? Americans have been horrified by the defiling of the Constitution. MAGA has been thrilled to get rid of “those people” by any means necessary. I think MAGA would bristle at that characterization. “It’s not racist!” Uh-huh. Were we not supposed to notice that the ONLY people being deported are brown? Are we supposed to believe there are NO undocumented white people in this country?

No, that’s wrong. One does not even have to be undocumented to get booted from the Bizarro United States, these days. 47 is even revoking permissions and legal statuses of many legal residents – but, again, only if the person in question is brown.

All of that could be debatable. Maybe it’s just a coincidence. Maybe it’s just because it’s easier to find brown people. So, 47 had to take special action to make sure people knew it was specifically because they’re brown. He seems to have found the perfect, racist answer.

He’s bringing in some white South Africans as “refugees,” a status he automatically denies brown people. Just to make sure the racism doesn’t go unnoticed, he says, out loud, that he’s doing it because they’re persecuted white people. The cherry on top? He says he’s giving them a quick path to citizenship. DACA “Dreamers,” people who have lived here their entire lives, can’t get that but he’s going to do it for White South Africans. Because they’re being “persecuted.”

A person is known for the company they keep. If you’re still supporting an obvious racist, it seems likely that you’re at least okay with it. ‘Racist-adjacent’ isn’t a moral position I would defend and it’s not a badge I would be interested in wearing…

Hey, I thought 47 wanted to be the Pope. Aw, Jeez, does this mean we’re going to have to listen to MAGA blathering on about how the conclave was “rigged” for the next million years?

Instead, we should probably focus more on the $2 billion dollars a United Arab Emirates group just dumped into 47’s crypto. In Bizzaro United States, the President is for sale. He’s not cheap, but if you’ve got the money, honey, he’s got the time…

I think the record for shortest Drumpf Team Evil is still held by Anthony Scaramucchi, who lasted all of ten days. Cameron Hamilton lasted longer, but it still wasn’t very long. Hamilton is – was – the acting head of the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA). He was put into that position by Donny when Donny seized power. Hamilton went before Congress on Wednesday and testified that he thinks FEMA does a fine job and should NOT be dismantled. On Thursday, he was escorted from FEMA headquarters, out of a job.

It’s an article of MAGA faith that FEMA does a poor job. No, as always, it isn’t true – or wasn’t, when we were a decent country – and when there IS an actual emergency, red hats line up for assistance right along with everybody else. (“It’s wasteful government spending – except when I need it!”) They get it, too, or used to – before their chosen precious started telling them they have too much.

But it’s an article of faith. If The Felons says it, in their mind, it MUST be true. So when he tells them they didn’t get any Federal assistance money, they regurgitate that line – while simultaneously pocketing the assistance money they just received. That’s just crazy-making, which, upon reflection, explains a lot.

Hamilton simply told the truth. How was HE supposed to know that’s the ultimate sin in this regime? He knows now…

“Oh, you’re just telling me about that now.”

“First I’ve heard of it.”
“I don’t know, that’s up to them.”
“Couldn’t tell you. Ask whoever’s in charge.”

It’s a tough call. Is he completely out of touch from, perhaps, playing so much golf on the taxpayer dime that he honestly has no idea what’s going on in his name, or is he pretending he doesn’t know anything in an effort to create a blanket of plausible deniability, a layer of separation from accountability?

Isn’t it irritating, the number of times 47 accused Joe Biden of being completely out of touch with the actions of his administration, then listening to him insist he has no clue what’s going on with Team Evil? Yet another example of accusation being confession, yes?

When he was asked if his tariffs were permanent or temporary, he answered, “It could be both.” He spent several minutes trying to convince a reporter that a Photoshopped picture was not Photoshopped. He’s choosing people to work with because he’s seen them on TV. ALL of those indicate some serious mental failure.

Then again, he IS the captain of Team Evil and he’s perfectly capable of pretending to be a blundering, blowhard, buffoon while planning his next, even more despicable, evil move. I don’t know, though. Maybe it IS both. Maybe he’s easily evil BECAUSE of his serious mental failures…

Quick question: when you’re driving down the highway and you see a traditional, black and white California Highway Patrol (CHP) car sitting on the side of the road, what do you do? You check your speed. You lower the joint or the beer. You set your phone aside (for a second). You fold the map, close the book, or put the mascara wand down.

That is, you end whatever distracted driving you might have been engaged in and you behave for a few moments. That tends to be true, even when there’s no cop IN the CHP car on the side of the road. You have the same reaction when you look into the mirror and see a police car cruising along with traffic. You mind your ‘P’s and ‘Q’s.

If traffic control and safety were the true and only goal of the CHP, their cars would be painted some bright, maybe fluorescent color because, for the most part, the mere sight of a CHP cruiser controls traffic AND driver behavior.

TO that end… no, wait. To some OTHER end, California has now purchased a bunch of brand new, shiny, “stealth” patrol vehicles. They’ve been specifically designed to blend in with traffic, to be hard to see. The CHP is highlighting how awesome it is that the lights they’ll use to pull you over aren’t on a light bar on top of these new cars so the cars are harder to see.

More, the cars have been painted in a way one doesn’t expect from a CHP vehicle. These cars hide in traffic, making it easier for the cars to pounce when they get the chance. CHP Commissioner Sean Duryee said, “The new vehicles give our officers an important advantage. They will allow us to identify and stop drivers who are putting others at risk, while still showing a professional and visible presence once enforcement action is needed.”

That statement is a bit of gaslighting, isn’t it? California is trying to sell it’s residents a bill of goods. Since we all know that very visible cruisers “stop drivers who are putting others at risk,” hidden cruisers must be intended for some… other purpose. And, the whole bit about “showing a professional and visible presence” makes me choke a little. The whole idea of a stealth vehicle is to NOT “show” at all. Eliminating the “visible presence” is the entire effing point!

I suspect it’s more about revenue enhancement and/or worse, the “important advantage” of being able to stop and check out vehicles just to see what’s going on in those vehicles. Are they being driven by brown people? Maybe they need a closer look.

I’ll tell you this: one does NOT go stealth when transparency and “visible presence” are the goal…

Destruction Du Jour…

Who knew we were going to need this reminder? I mean, it’s Fifth Grade stuff. Still, it’s important. The ‘United States of America’ is NOT the land she occupies. It’s not the food we eat. It’s not the common culture. It’s not even the people who live here, citizen or not. The ‘United States of America’ IS the US Constitution. Without the US Constitution, there IS no ‘United States of America.’

If you’re one of the people cheering the bravery of ‘The Precious’ for violating court orders and taking a wrecking ball to government, you’re cheering the destruction of the US Constitution. You’re cheering the destruction of the United States…

When reporters ask 47 if he’ll take military force off the table when it comes to seizing Greenland, the Felon says no. He says he won’t rule out anything. In truth, I kind of get that. I’m not sure I would project which tactics I might use in a conflict, either. I CAN say I wouldn’t be talking about invading or taking over foreign, sovereign nations so I wouldn’t be in a position of having to consider military force, but if I was looking at an actual conflict, I wouldn’t tip my hand about possibilities, either.

On the flip side, it’s not the same cagey strategy to avoid questions about respecting due process. When he was asked in a recent interview whether both US citizens and non-citizens deserve due process, he said, “I don’t know. I’m not, I’m not a lawyer. I don’t know.” It could just be me, but I’m of the opinion that the President of the United States of America should know whether they need to respect due process.

I’ve heard that Donny doesn’t read. There’s some question about whether he CAN read. (I suspect he can. He just doesn’t.) But maybe he could take a few minutes and read the Constitution. He might learn some things. I know, it doesn’t have his name in it, so he’d get bored right around the “…in order to form a more perfect union” bit. But he really should give it a look.

I would ask him to start with the Bill of Rights. I think he’d STILL nod off about eight words in. But if he could stay focused long enough to get through the thing – and it really doesn’t take that long – he’d eventually get to the Fifth Amendment. I’m going to highlight the key bits, here, but it says, “nor shall any person…be deprived of life, liberty, or property without due process of law.”

He says he can’t do that. He says it would take too long. In short, he’s saying that following the law is too hard so he doesn’t think he should have to. I, for one, think he should have to. I’m sure there are others, like me, who think he should follow the law, as well. Not MAGA, of course. They won’t understand the implications of their support for these crimes until the system lands on them, personally.

That’s because he lies and then MAGA media pretends the lies are the truth. In the same interview, he said he was pushing to deport, “some of the worst, most dangerous people on Earth,” but cried that courts are getting in his way. “I was elected to get them the hell out of here, and the courts are holding me from doing it,” Trump said. The courts are trying to hold him to the Constitution.

47 terrorizes his base by pretending each and every person he has deported is a violent criminal, a rapist or a murderer or, more likely, both. He pretends that those he STILL intends to deport are even worse. To hear The Felon tell it, this country is RIFE with murdering rapists. They’re, like, everywhere, man. Look to your left. Murdering rapist. Look to your right. Murdering rapist. That guy over there? Murdering rapist. That two year old baby? Yep, murdering rapist.

It seems that in his fetid mind, this country is made up of two groups: white people and murdering rapists. Why, there are so many rapes and so many murders and so many rapes AND murders that every house in this nation MUST have been visited by the violence. Ask him. He’ll tell you. He knows a murderer when he sees one. He knows a rapist when he sees one. According to the courts, he sees one every time he looks into a mirror, but he’s only interested in the brown ones, obviously.

Apparently, this guy looks at a brown person – ANY brown person – and sees a violent criminal. That is some serious racism, right there. CAN you find me a brown person who is a violent criminal? Absolutely. No question. You can also find white people who are violent criminals. In fact, I’d say violent criminals come in every hue, shape, size, and gender (or not). But he’s only concerned with brown people.

It’s genuinely embarrassing to have such a pin-headed bigot in the White House. The US used to be about higher ideals. We were never perfect, but we continued to strive to be better. Now we’re stuck with… this. Each and every one of us should be ashamed we’ve allowed this to happen AND that we’re allowing it to stand…

We’ve been watching the cruel regime aggressively dismantle the government since 47 stole the office. For Americans and the world, it has been horrific and stupid. Each attack is being met, though, with lawsuits pushing back. Move after move after move on the part of these clowns has been met with lawsuits and the regime wins some but loses more.

I don’t think they care. In attacking the way they do, the damage gets done early on. By the time a lawsuit plays out, even if the petitioner wins, it may well be too late. So 47 and his criminal crew flood everything and are met with drips in return. One suit here (drip), another suit there (drip). The piecemeal response to the flood of destruction works to the advantage of the regime. It simply takes too long to adjudicate each case individually. (Ironically, the very argument the regime makes about why it can’t offer due process.)

So the opposition has finally gotten smart and pulled together one huge lawsuit that addresses the whole damn thing at once. The complaint is 115 pages. The caption, alone, usually a small box on the first page, is FIVE PAGES long. (That’s the list of who is being sued and who is doing the suing.)

The press release announcing the suit calls the plaintiffs “A coalition of Labor organizations, non-profit groups, and local governments that filed this complaint to hold unlawful and stop the unconstitutional dismantling of the Federal government by the President of the United States on a scale unprecedented in this country’s history and in clear excess of his authority.”

In short, the plaintiffs have realized that the one-case-after-another approach is too little, too late, so they’ve filed one massive lawsuit to just stop ALL of the crap, ALL at the same time. I can’t say how it will play out. Much of this country is corrupt and complicit. But this seems like the most coordinated response we’ve seen yet. Hope springs eternal…

Too Much Insanity…

This is spillover. This crazy regime is getting SO far out of control, I can’t fit it all into a single, 1,000 (-ish) word column. I published on Monday morning. By Thursday, there was SO much insanity, it rolled over to Saturday. That’s a LOT of crazy in only three days…

So, 47 sits for an interview with a guy named Terry Moran and the subject of Kilmar Abrego Garcia comes up. 47 says Abrego Garcia was MS-13 because that’s the lie the regime is pushing. Moran pointed out that there’s a dispute about that. Donny replies, “Wait a minute. Wait a minute, he had ‘MS-13’ on his knuckles, tattooed.” Moran tried to help. He pointed out that Abrego Garcia has some tattoos but they’re not associated with MS-13.

“It says M-S-1-3,” 47 insisted. Moran pointed out that the ‘MS-13’ that appears in THAT photo was Photoshopped in. I think whoever did that was trying to smear Abrego Garcia in order to justify his deportation. But Donny doesn’t seem to able to understand the photo was altered. He even offered to pull out the picture and show Moran. (Pro tip: showing a Photoshopped photo to someone doesn’t prove it wasn’t Photoshopped.)

Donny glared. But it wasn’t an “I effing HATE you” glare. It looked more like he was trying to use mind control to get Moran to agree. 47 had that same look on his face Sheldon Cooper gets on ‘The Big Bang’ when he thinks HE’S mind-controlling someone. The only difference is that the fictional Sheldon Cooper is FAR smarter than the actual Drumpfster.

Okay so, let’s consider this, shall we? This is a photo of Kilmar Abrego-Garcia’s left hand. It’s a little hard to see but it was, surprisingly, the only one I could find. Still, it serves. You can see that he has a tattoo on each finger. You can ALSO see there is no ‘MS-13’ on his hand. What IS there is this: on his index finger, he has a cannabis leaf. On his middle finger, he has an picture of a dead guy, as indicated by the x’s in place of eyes. It’s an old animator’s trick to indicate a dead person in animation, x’s in place of eyes.

His ring finger sports a cross and the pinkie has a skull that looks like it’s smiling, as they do. The White House is pretending those are secret code pictograms that mean “MS-13.” The thing is, MS-13 members don’t make any effort to hide their affiliation. They tattoo MS-13 all over their bodies, often in large, stylized characters. The truth is, if I was interpreting any possible meaning to that group of tattoos, and I should say, here, Kilmar and I have never met so we haven’t talked about it, I wouldn’t get ‘MS-13.’

I think it’s perfectly reasonable to presume Kilmar’s tats of a cannabis leaf, dead guy, cross, and smiling skull could mean “Marijuana kills, Jesus saves.” I do NOT say I’m right, only that it’s a reasonable interpretation. FAR more reasonable, in my mind, than ‘MS-13.’ But 47 MUST maintain his lie for MAGA. If they ever figure out how gullible and downright stupid he makes them look, they might turn on him. Then what?

A bright side? Trump is showing the entire world how horrifying and destructive today’s conservative policies are. Conservative media is non-stop. Using the internet and other side-steps to licensed broadcasting that requires more truth, they’ve been injecting conservative talking points into people’s minds for a long time. Some of it has taken root, the way cancer takes hold and spreads. The end result is the same, too.

Like cancer, the conservative talking points metastiasized. Unlike cancer, people were thinking they’d like to give it a try. Then Musk stole the election for Donny and the wrecking crew came in and began destroying everything, seemingly just for the sake of destroying everything. Now, the rest of the world can see the reality behind conservative talking points. Apparently, the world isn’t so thrilled with the reality of conservatism.

Canada recently had an election. The conservatives in Canada were WAY ahead and expected to win the thing in a walk. Then Donny began his rampage. After a brief peek at what conservatives have in mind, the liberal candidate won. 47 single-handedly turned around Canada’s recent election as people realized what a nightmare conservatives actually have in mind for the world.

Not to be outdone, Australia also took a look at the conservative agenda, which they had been openly flirting with for a time, and immediately re-elected their liberal leader to a second term. 47 really IS leading the way, or rather, the “No way.” Now that the world sees what the conservative agenda looks like in real life as compared to the lying and empty promises of conservative media, they get to reconsider their support of conservatism and go with “sane” instead.

I suspect his stunningly stupid incompetence is hurting conservatives in Europe, too. The cons have gotten out of control and they mean the world harm. There’s no more question about that. They must be stopped and it seems that nothing convinces people of the inhumanity of the conservative mind than the displays of conservative “thinking” that come from The Don of Destruction…

The anti-American, criminal regime has settled a lawsuit with Ashli Babbitt’s family. Terms of the deal were not disclosed. You remember Babbitt, right? Well, in case you’ve forgotten, she’s a woman who was violently storming the Capitol, looking for someone to kill on The Felon’s January 6th “day of love.” As she was crawling through a smashed out window trying to access a Congressional chamber in which Congress critters were still present and frightened for their lives – as people often are during days of love – she was warned by US Capitol Police Lt Michael Byrd to stop or he would shoot. She was in a “love” rampage, though. She refused to stop, and got shot in the head. Appropriately, she died.

She died while committing a violent crime, and now, the family is going to get paid. It’s really mind-boggling. Here’s a basic truth: if you’re an American citizen and you violently attack the Capitol threatening to kill people based on pure, easily-provable lies, you’re a traitor. You’re not a hero and you certainly do NOT deserve to get paid…

I think Elon thinks he’s funny. Have you noticed? He says really stupid things but he thinks maybe they’re funny things and people around him laugh. Apparently, it never crosses his shriveled and evil little mind that the lickspittles around him laugh because he has money.

I don’t think I’ll ever get used to how blinded, self-deluded, and just plain downright stupid the crew in the positions of power right now really are. But OMG, they really are…

Another Day In Bizarro America…

It’s a real-life ‘he said, Xi said.’ Felon 47 claimed on April 22, during an interview with Time magazine that Chinese leader Xi had called him to discuss The Felon’s trade war. As usual, he offers NO details or evidence. He just claimed it happened. I guess we’re supposed to just take his word for it. More, it looks like the Chinese are supposed to just take his word for it, too. It’s simply inexplicable, in his tiny mind, that they don’t.

Asked about the comments, Chinese foreign ministry spokesperson Guo Jiakun said: “As far as I know, there has been no phone call between the two heads of state recently. China and the United States are not conducting consultations or negotiations on tariff issues.”

Meanwhile, I’m seeing news stories about idled truckers and empty shipping ports. That means store shelves are going to start emptying and prices will be on the rise. The bumbling buffoon has managed to artificially re-create the economic shut-down he brought about with his feckless handling of Covid-19.

This self-inflicted, totally avoidable economic upheaval was not caused by Joe Biden. It wasn’t caused by Barack Obama. It wasn’t Bill Clinton. It wasn’t Hillary Clinton. It sure as shootin’ wasn’t Bernie or AOC. It wasn’t Al Gore, Nancy Pelosi, Adam Schiff, Hakeem Jeffries, Elizabeth Warren, George Soros, or any of the other lefty boogie-men the right likes to blame for their own shortcomings. This was all, 100%, absolutely no one but the failing and flailing Donald J. Trump…

You just wait. They’ll be saying she was in BOTH Tren de Aragua AND MS-13. They’ll claim she has the gang tats to prove it. She has a rap sheet as long as… some very long thing. She’s been a menace to society for years and years and years. She’s a legal nightmare and simply had to go. Of course, the fact that she’s only two years old is going to have to be downplayed.

Focus on the story, ‘She’s bad.’ Ignore her age. She’s two. Oh, I’ve got it. “We’ve ALL heard of the terrible two’s. THIS girl takes it to the extreme!” Say some scary words, as though they might apply to her. “Murder.” “Rape.” “Poopy-pants.” Oh, did I mention this two-year-old “terrorist” is a US citizen? That seems like it might have been relevant.

Well, she’s been deported now, so, I guess the Bizarro United States is safe. For now. One can never tell when that little sneak will toddle back across the border. Stay vigilant! Hey, at least she wasn’t sent to a maximum security prison!

In fact, Team Evil deported the child’s mother, who opted to take the child with her. Bear in mind, the child’s mother didn’t do anything wrong, either. She was arrested during what used to be a routine check-in meeting. It was just an opportunity to inflict a little cruelty on a brown person and these guys are NOT going to pass that up.

Even MAGA seems to be noticing how things aren’t going the way Donny promised. His approval ratings are plunging. He has poor ratings on the economy and on immigration, as he should. He sucks at both of those things. But, according to an article in ‘The Guardian,’ “a survey released on Saturday found that only 24% of Americans believe [the anti-American Trumpster] has focused on the right priorities as president.”

24%? That number cuts into MAGA. The Drumpfster maintains about 30% support on most issues and that 30% represents MAGA. (The rest of us understand what’s really happening in this once-great nation.) MAGA is normally steadfast. True believers. It’s a solid 30% and it often seems impossible to shake. 24% means some 6% of MAGA has noticed he’s hurting them, too.

Perhaps they’ve noticed he’s spending more time on retribution and golf than on the cost-of-living and he seems to be making America a laughingstock around the world. That’s hardly “great.” What’s more, if 6% are willing to confess their concerns for a poll, there are likely even more who have noticed, are not happy, but still trying to keep the faith.

So, what happens if MAGA were to find out that all he’s really done is harm tens of thousands of lives but the government, to date, has spent MORE, not less, than any other President in history? They might, they should, begin to question his actions. If it gets bad enough – and it will – they might even start saying so out loud.

24% is the kind of number I’ve been waiting for. Sooner or later, MAGA HAD to notice. His attacks on, well, everything, really, haven’t been limited to the “lib-tards” or the pretended “Deep State.” He’s doing real-life, actual harm to anyone and everyone not lucky enough to have been born into huge piles of money. That is, most of us. Even MAGA. But, hey, we’re safe from scary toddlers…

Universal health care? I think it’s a better plan. Here’s one reason. I know a person who is 100% disabled. This particular individual receives health care through California’s Medi-cal program and has for quite some time. Now, she’s about to turn 65. As a result, she is being “shifted” over to Medicare.

Medicare comes with costs. Medi-cal does not. So, when she is shifted to Medicare, Medi-cal stays in the picture, to pick up the costs Medicare won’t. The shift serves, mostly, to add a layer of bureaucracy to the process. It got me thinking. How stupid is that? Wait, here’s another.

I recently had a bit of a health dust-up. A little cancer on my ear. I’m a Kaiser member, but I also have access to the VA. Even though I pay Kaiser premiums and have insurance, thanks to the glories of Capitalism, having Kaiser deal with the problem would have cost me thousands in co-pays and share-of-costs. That represents thousands I don’t have. So I used the VA.

Medicare. Medi-cal. Private insurance. VA. Four different systems. Actually, because “Private insurance” has so many different permutations, parameters, requirements, options, and obligations, it’s a LOT more than four. Each different track has to be managed. It’s just stupid. Oh, AND expensive.

Americans who have been conditioned to oppose universal health care always complain about how their taxes would, likely, go up to pay for it. So, instead, they’ll pay thousands MORE out of their own pocket – just to preserve that ‘freedumb.’ It’s an incredibly inefficient, absolutely stupid position – but absolute stupidity seems to be the standing order here in Bizarro America, these days, so I don’t foresee any corrections any time soon…

The Decline Continues…

I’m not sure arresting a sitting judge is a great move, but here we are. The FBI arrested Wisconsin Judge Hannah Dugan. They say she helped a man avoid immigration officers in her courtroom. The current regime wants the man out of the country. We all know it’s because he’s brown, but they’re pretending it’s because he’s accused of three counts of misdemeanor battery.

By noon today, EVERY MAGA will just KNOW that she helped a “violent criminal” escape. Meanwhile, on the left, we’ll be arguing that he hasn’t been convicted of anything at this point. That’s the judge’s position, by the way; due process counts. Let the “debates” commence!

The agents on scene didn’t have a proper warrant so the judge didn’t recognize the legality of their claim. She surmised, properly, in my opinion, that ICE would, no doubt, ignore the improper warrant right along with all of the other due process they think is wasteful in these matters. It’s not like she pulled that right out of the air. ICE is ignoring the law all over the country.

Obviously, we’re not talking the same scale, here – not yet, anyway – but I think Judge Dugan finds herself in the same company as Harriet Tubman, who help slaves escape, and Miep Gies, the woman who hid Anne Frank and her family. Both women were violating law – but serving justice, clearly a higher calling.

I believe these kinds of confrontations are created BY the current, America-hating regime. They keep insisting that due process is a luxury the American people can’t afford. “…nor shall any State deprive any person of life, liberty, or property without due process of law.” That’s an exact quote from the (checks notes), right! The Constitution of the United States. (Fourteenth Amendment, Section 1.) Please note: “any person.”

One of the many, many, oh-so-many things cons are wrong about is the incorrect belief that the constitution ONLY applies to American citizens. It applies to all people on any American soil except where noted. Only citizens can legally vote, for example, but ALL people are entitled to due process. Even if it’s hard.

I don’t care which side of the aisle you stand on, you should NOT support elimination of due process for anyone, anywhere, at any time. Obviously, if one is not a criminal, one never expects to be accused of a crime or worse, to be punished for a crime based on nothing more than some abstract accusation. But just because one doesn’t expect it, doesn’t mean it won’t happen. I mean, look around you. It’s happening already.

I quoted the 14th Amendment, earlier, but the words of the 4th Amendment are just as clear, “The right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects against unreasonable searches and seizures SHALL NOT be violated.” (I added the emphasis, there.) And there it is, again. “…persons.” Certainly, the writers of the 4th Amendment, if not the 14th, had lived their lives under a regime of wanton incarceration. They KNEW how that played out in real life because it was their lived experience. They knew better!

Legally, in decent America, Judge Dugan would beat these charges easily. The law and the Constitution are on her side. Here in Bizarro America, though, the regime might just decide to forego HER due process, as well. I’m in her corner because I, for one, support people standing for justice…

I see they put George Santos away for seven years. Good. Ultimately, they convicted him of wire fraud and aggravated identity theft in his scheme to defraud his constituents. See? It CAN be done. I’ve always thought of George Santos as a much less practiced trumpster. The two run the same con. Santos was just less skilled at it. Or maybe just less protected. Santos got what Santos deserved but Santos got what Donny deserves, too: seven years behind bars…

I note that despite promises to end the war on day one, the Don of Destruction… hasn’t. It seems he can’t. You’ll hear MAGA regurgitating, “Promises made, promises kept” like there’s some truth to that. There isn’t. He’s more of a “Promises made, screw you” kind of guy. In fairness, he HAS tried. I would say he has tried to the limits of his VERY limited capabilities. He really, really wants a Nobel Peace Prize and he thought he was going to get it by ending the Russia/Ukraine war.

The problem is, he’s too stupid to even understand who started the damn war, so how can he fix it? It seems (full disclosure, I haven’t been included on any of Hegseth’s regime-leaking Signal chats) Donny’s “solution” to end Putin’s war is for Ukraine to simply surrender everything Russia has stolen and call it a day. Not surprisingly, Ukraine has rejected the concept. They seem to reject the notion that Putin should benefit from his criminal invasion. Go figure.

So now, the First Felon says he’s just going to call everyone names and walk away. ‘The Art of the Deal,’ indeed. The United States was obligated by more than one treaty to support Ukraine in the event this exact thing – an unprompted Russian invasion – happened. Donny is showing the US to be an untrustworthy, undependable ally. Our worldwide reputation has never been worse…

Smoke And Mirrors…

I think it’s important to remember: Executive Orders are not laws. They DO carry some legal weight. They do NOT have the force of laws in this sense: a subsequent President can reverse an EO with the stroke of a pen. The Legislative Branch can overrule an EO by passing an actual law. The Judicial Branch has the power to strike down EOs, just like they do normal laws.

The Executive Branch doesn’t make laws, it’s supposed to enforce them. When The Drumpfster successfully manages to scribble his name on an EO, it’s STILL not a law. EOs were once used to detail how a President intended to execute a law. That is, what steps might be taken, which department might oversee the law, that kind of thing.

They were and are “law adjacent,” if you will. Justice Hugo Black wrote in his opinion in the case of ‘Youngstown Sheet and Tube Co vs Sawyer’ that “The President’s power to see that the laws are faithfully executed refutes the idea that he is to be a lawmaker.”

He’s using EOs because he has to. He can’t get these things passed as legitimate laws so he’s doing an end run on his own Republican-controlled Congress. If Congressional Republicans had any self respect… I guess there’s no point in finishing that sentence…

Once again, the Felon deceived the market by pretending he is just about to get sane and reconsider his tariffs on China. He stated quite clearly that his anti-American regime was in talks with China and that things were going very well. The market started going up. Unfortunately for the predatory prevaricator, China gets a say in these things, too. And what THEY said was, “Nope. We’re not in talks.” They added, “We don’t see the point.”

Okay, specifically, Guo Jiakun, a spokesman for China’s Foreign Ministry, said, “For all I know, China and the U.S. are not having any consultation or negotiation on tariffs, still less reaching a deal.” He wasn’t alone.

Commerce Ministry spokesman He Yadong said, “China’s position is consistent, and we are open to consultations and dialogues, but any form of consultations and negotiations must be conducted on the basis of mutual respect and in an equal manner. Any claims about the progress of China-U.S. trade negotiations are groundless as trying to catch the wind and have no factual basis,” the spokesman said.

Two different Chinese spokesmen said no talks are happening and He Yadong said it would be like trying to catch the wind, which I understand as “What’s the point?” In the long run, I expect the US is going to suffer FAR, FAR more than any other country involved in The Felon’s trumped up trade war. I’m not looking forward to that but it seems right and proper to me.

The Bizarro US started this mess and the Bizarros deserve every bit of the blow-back that results. The rest of us are just “collateral damage,” though WE “deserve” it, too, because we haven’t done enough to stop him. The Drumpfster is the world’s problem, but he’s OUR responsibility.

A lot of people, big people, strong people are saying it to me, they say, “Why doesn’t he just dry up and blow away?” A lot of people are saying it. You’re hearing it a LOT. And, as you know, when “a lot of people are saying it” and “you’re hearing it a lot,” one has no choice but to do what those voices are saying…

Bill Maher likely doesn’t realize how deeply he’s stepped in it. He became a “useful idiot” to the regime and there was quite a bit of push-back. The entire rational world is trying to get him to realize he was a pawn, used to put a nicer face on a madman. Larry David noticed and wrote an op-ed called ‘My Dinner With Adolf.’

It purported to be a report about a “vocal critic” of Hitler who got invited to dinner with the man himself and found him surprisingly warm and gracious. “Here I was, prepared to meet Hitler, the one I’d seen and heard — the public Hitler. But this private Hitler was a completely different animal. And oddly enough, this one seemed more authentic, like this was the real Hitler. The whole thing had my head spinning,” David wrote.

Replace ‘Hitler’ with ‘Trump’ and you’ve got a nearly perfect transcript of what Maher said of the Don of Destruction after their dinner. I suspect Maher is trying to white-knuckle the whole controversy away, hoping it blows over sooner, rather than later. Initially, he didn’t respond to David’s op-ed at all. Apparently, the two are friends and don’t want to get into a public spat. But eventually, Maher had to respond so he… oh, get this, he played the Jew card.

Maher, a life-long, avowed Atheist who is half-Jewish by birth, said of the op-ed written by full-blooded, practicing Jew Larry David, that it was, “kind of insulting to 6 million dead Jews.” I think Maher needs a new mirror. To my mind, Maher snuggling up to the Fascist madman was “kind of insulting to 6 million dead Jews.”

I fully support talking to MAGA. I absolutely believe we and they receive different information from our various sources. We should ALL compare notes, find out who’s being told what. But that applies to the rank and file. One is not going to get one of the Deceivers to change their ways. One does not fight evil with understanding…

Fox Not-News MADE him. They built him up on a tower of lie after lie after lie. Ever since their loyalty cost Murdoch nearly a billion dollars, though, the network has been a little, and I mean just a touch, more balanced in their coverage of the dotard. They recently published a poll that showed the Felon’s approval rating is lower than any other President in history at this point in his tenure, with the SECOND worst rating ALSO belonging to the Felonious Failure.

Naturally, 47 went ballistic. He does that whenever anybody tells a truth about him. He doesn’t LIKE it when people tell the truth about him. Now he wants pretty much everybody at Fox Not-News fired. This seems like a hopeful crack in the GOP shield wall that protects 47. If Murdoch and 47 fall out, there’s a risk Fox Not News and/or the Wall Street Journal will start reporting honestly on the Felon’s actions – and that would be very, VERY bad for 47. Fingers crossed…

The Immorality of the Regime…

Is THIS what MAGA wanted? Is this what MAGA had in mind? A government that is SO cruel, it will attack it’s own citizens for asking questions? This… distortion of humanity currently destroying our nation deported a man, Kilmar Abrego Garcia, to a maximum security prison with no charges, no trial, no chance to defend himself AND, not coincidentally, no chance for anybody to question the regime’s actions, either. The deportation was illegal as the man in question had a protective order that allowed him to stay in the US.

In a court filing, the regime even confessed Abrego Garcia was deported as the result of an “administrative error.” They apparently fired that lawyer for telling the truth. Then they doubled down on all of their lies about why they just had to do it. His wife, Jennifer Vasquez Sura, has been fighting to get him home. She’s been a real thorn in their side, continually pointing out the error of their ways and making a lot of noise.

So the effing regime doxxed her. They published a court document online that anybody could access but failed to, or chose not to, redact her home address. This means any MAGA zombie could find it and use it to harass her for daring to question their precious. Now she has to hide out in a safe house. She’s an American citizen and the ostensible government of the United States of America is actively attacking her for standing up for the constitution.

So far, the regime hasn’t commented on why they chose to publish her information. At least they haven’t claimed, yet again, simple incompetence. Hell, they haven’t claimed ANYTHING about it. They just did it. I know I shouldn’t attribute incompetence to malevolence but this seems pretty malevolent to me. The immorality of the regime is mind-boggling…

Do you remember when our incompetent Secretary of Defense, Pete Hegseth, invited a reporter to join a classified meeting on a public app while the US bombed Yemen? Apparently, none of the people charged with our national security even realized the reporter was there. It seemed like a pretty good summary of the competence level of the guys in charge right now.

But now it turns out that inviting a reporter into his classified group was only the SECOND stupid thing Hegseth did in relation to that bombing. According to the Guardian, he ALSO sent details of the attack plan, via a second Signal chat group, to his wife, his brother, and about a dozen other people. He reportedly used his private phone for that one, too, just to make sure the information was as unsecured as could be possible.

Frankly, I think this is what happens when one puts a talking head from a weekend propaganda show in charge of the Defense Department. To me, it just feels like Hegseth is showing off to his friends. “See how important I am?” We certainly see how stupid you are, there, Pete. He doesn’t (can’t?) trust that people think the Secretary of Defense is an important job. I’ll bet he mentions that he’s the ‘SecDef’ (they love their abbreviations in the DoD) to every person he runs in to.
“Um… okay. Uh… did you want fries with that?”

This is a paragraph straight from the Guardian: “Shortly after the news of the second Signal chat broke, Politico published an opinion article by Hegseth’s former press secretary, John Ullyot, which began: “It’s been a month of total chaos at the Pentagon. From leaks of sensitive operational plans to mass firings, the dysfunction is now a major distraction for the president – who deserves better from his senior leadership.”

It seems Mr. Ullyot didn’t get the memo. ‘Total chaos’ is the GOAL of this regime. That’s WHY the Don of Destruction put Hegseth in that position in the first place. 47 sprang to Hegseth’s defense. He once again dismissed facts as “fake news” and said the idea of pursuing the issue of Pete’s security breaches was a “waste of time.” Oh, but ‘Hillary’s emails,’ right? Hypocrisy knows no bounds when it comes to MAGA…

Ho hum. Another day with Felon 47 in charge, another nearly 1,000-plus point drop in the Dow. There have only been 11 since the Dow was formed. Donny has caused four of them – in one month. There’s a reason, of course. He’s an idiot. He doesn’t know what he’s doing, and he’s too narcissistic to confess either error or incompetence.

MAGA is right there with him of course. Due to their conditioning, they have no choice. But people free to think their own thoughts – that is, the rest of the world – can readily see the Drumpfster is just a blowhard, bumbling fool. They’re getting tired of it. The world is fleeing the American dollar and our markets. The Don of Destruction thinks he can shoot his own foot until other countries surrender to his stupidity.

He doesn’t seem to understand that grabbing a bigger gun and continuing to blast away at his own feet doesn’t increase the pressure on the world, either. The world DOES seem startled by watching the madman destroy his own country intentionally but since there is precious little they can do to stop him, they just move on in other directions. It turns out, the world has options and the world it choosing to exercise those options.

The actual problem, as we all know, is the capricious tariffs coupled with the dismantling of any and all financial security measures the world has relied on for generations. Rational people everywhere are left to wonder, is he a moronic, bumbling fool or a criminal, openly manipulating the stock market for his own personal gain? I’m going to hedge my bets and say, “Both!”

I’ll tell you this: I’m starting to think leaving an insane person in charge of the country is a mistake…

As Elon has worked his evil on the nation, the nation has responded by refusing his crappy rolling crematoriums. Sales are down and stock has dropped rather distressingly, if you’re an investor. Apparently, Muck is leaving the illegal DOGE to go back and try to save the SwastiKar. Investors started buying the stock when they heard the news. BUT…

Will people buy the car? The stock will bump up as investors make moves, but if people don’t buy the car, that won’t last long. Do you think the country will breathe a collective sigh of relief and start buying them again? I don’t. We have better options, these days. The company’s reputation is, to say the least, tarnished as a result of their evil CEO.

I’ll tell you this: I hope people keep their faces turned away from Tesla, so long as Elon has any association with the company whatsoever…

Mostly Minutia…

I’m sure glad we, the people, have so little to worry about that we can focus on an almost-to-space flight of a Jeff Bezos’ rocket with an all-female crew. There seem to be two prongs to the “outrage.” One, the behavior of the women involved and, two, that fact that going to space harms the environment, specifically, the Ozone layer, so we shouldn’t do so frivolously.

So, full disclosure, I’ve never been to space or even near space, just in case you were wondering. But I’ve been intrigued by space since I was a young boy. I’ve read and watched a LOT on the topic. There’s one thing that seems to be universal. It seems like everybody who goes to space, comes back a bit different. No, I don’t mean there are creatures about to pop out of their chests but going up there does seem to have a common thread: it’s life-altering in one’s perception of humanity and Earth.

I don’t know if you’ve noticed this, but those spaceships have a tendency to blow up, especially since the program was “privatized.” (“Privatized” is never better.) That makes the journey very dangerous, or, at least, risky. Having gone up, experienced weightlessness, and safely returned – that is, survived – you might want to kiss the Earth, when you got back, too. I genuinely hope the crew of that ship can learn to tune out the critics until this oh-so-important kerfuffle passes, which I assume will be soon.

If anything, I can see taking issue with the environmental harm of sending ships up as publicity stunts, but that’s not on the crew. That’s on Bezos. He doesn’t mind destroying the environment because he has the cash to build a long-term, artificial environment for himself and a few lucky friends. Besides, I don’t know if you’ve noticed THIS, but the billionaires of this once-great nation don’t give two figs about what you think about them or what they’re doing, so long as you keep buying the crap they sell…

I saw a headline that read, “Is it legal for CBP to search your cell phone at the U.S. border?” (CBP is customs and Border Protection.) I didn’t read it. The question strikes me as academic, at this point. One of the most terrible things about the destruction of our Constitution is that “legal” is now defined by whomever is making the determination and whatever whim is fueling the moment.

As MAGA gets the world they wanted – a Hellscape of desperation and destruction – one of the very FIRST casualties was the death of the Rule of Law. No, not for work-a-day Joes. Don’t be ridiculous. WE will absolutely be held to “laws.” But the privileged elite and their cronies will get to do pretty much whatever they want to do. If they want to search your cell phone – and even download and privately enjoy your personal boudoir photos – they’re going to.

You can scream “illegal” all you want to. When no one enforces existing laws, there ARE no existing laws. It doesn’t MATTER if it’s a violation of your Fourth Amendment right to privacy. “The right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects against unreasonable searches and seizures, shall not be violated, and no Warrants shall issue but upon probable cause…”

I’ll tell you this: the Constitution was better. Yes, it was clumsy and not as quick as we would all like but that was politics, not the Constitution. Knowing the rules because they were written down and making them apply to everyone was just… better…

In a rather spectacular display of dullness, people are STILL looking to the “election” of 2028. Oh, who’s going to run? What strategy should they use? How can they attract this bloc or that group? How do they tune their message?

I’m telling you right now, if he hasn’t already done the planet the service of dying – and Satan takes care of his own – Felon 47 is going to “win” the 2028 “election” with 94% of the vote. Dictators LOVE to “win” their “elections” with margins in the low 90’s. They think it gives them the imprimatur of a landslide.

But the name currently being floated around as a popular choice to run for President in 2028 is Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, (D-NJ), commonly referred to simply as ‘AOC.’ She’s out on tour with Bernie Sanders, trying to whip up some support in an effort to maintain the republic – as though the republic hasn’t already been destroyed.

Don’t get me wrong, I respect the effort. I wish them all the success in the world. I really do. But I think it’s too little, too late. We the people needed to stop the Heritage coup LONG before it got to this point. We didn’t. Complacency, shock, disbelief, whatever, we failed to keep our republic.

So, on the one hand, I’d love to vote for AOC. I wanted her to run in the last election. I know, she’s too extreme for a lot of people. I’m STILL working on why it’s “too extreme” to want the best for America and Americans but “exactly right” to devastate the nation, the Constitution, and the economy. If you ask me, it’s the Felon 47 regime that’s too extreme. FAR too extreme.

On the other hand, I like AOC. I don’t WANT to hear that she has been arrested for “activities against America” or that she suddenly decided to jump out of a window, just as some con operator paid her a visit. Coincidence, of course…

As Popes go, I thought Pope Francis was a good one. I was a bit surprised to hear of his passing. I knew he had been sick, recently, but I thought he was doing better. It seems like a pretty sudden turn of events. Still, at 88, things can change pretty suddenly.

Now the church enters into a period of mourning and the Cardinals all get together to elect a new pope. I hope they find a good one. The world is going through VERY strange times and a person of vision would be great…

I Prefer the First Amendment…

It really bugs me that the media in this once-great nation seems to be having success equating objections to the actions of the Israeli government with antisemitism. The two are light-years apart. I have no problems with Jewish people nor Judaism, in general. I have tremendous heartburn with the actions of the Israeli government. I oppose genocide, not Judaism.

I suppose now is the time to add that I don’t support Hamas, either. When one gets down to brass tacks, I think BOTH sides are wrong in this one. Hamas was just plain stupid to launch rockets into Israel, counter-productively killing civilians who, likely, have no more control over their government than I do over mine. That does not give Israel the right to wipe Gaza off the map and claim the land for themselves.

I watched the April 11 episode of ‘Real Time with Bill Maher’ and there was much talk about the “crimes” of Mahmoud Khalil that make it “okay” to deport him, despite the fact that he has a Green Card and is here legally. ‘Crimes’ was probably a poor choice of words. NOBODY has charged any crimes, not even the criminal regime. He participated in protests against the Israeli government in their actions in Gaza. That’s it. But his opponents have accused him of saying things they don’t like and insist that should be enough. So much for the First Amendment, I guess.

Many of the claims Maher spewed centered around unsupported assertions in filings from the government – THIS criminal regime – explaining why they can deport Khalil despite his Green Card. ‘He harassed Jews on campus.’ No evidence. ‘He supports Hamas.’ No evidence. ‘He lied on his Green Card application.’ No evidence. The whole thing is built on false equivalencies. Supporting Palestinians is NOT the same as supporting Hamas. Objecting to the actions of Israel is NOT the same as being antisemitic.

Despite Maher’s obvious shift to the right in recent years, I’ve enjoyed his show for a long time and I pay attention to the things he says. So, when he leveled those charges, I sought to verify them. I couldn’t. I read the government’s filing (it was only two pages) but find their credibility lacking – especially in view of the fact that even the regime didn’t detail any of their “charges.” He acted as liaison between the protestors and the school and handed out leaflets. Reading “Stop killing innocent Palestinians” as “I love Hamas” takes some real mental gymnastics.

What I DID find was various Jewish groups supporting Khalil. They were quite clear. They DO NOT like what he said, but they defend his right to say those things. If, they add, he had done something, taken some action against Jews, they would feel differently, but, according to them, he hasn’t done any of that. He just engaged in objectionable speech and that’s what the First Amendment is about. They object to the claim that his actions were antisemitic based on the idea that frivolous claims of antisemitism undermine actual instances of antisemitism.

So now we have the criminal regime (mostly not Jewish) and Bill Maher (half Jewish by birth) out there objecting to “antisemitism” even the Jewish community isn’t citing or claiming and Mahmoud Khalil’s life being destroyed in the process – because he thinks killing innocent people is a BAD thing and stands up – peacefully, mind you – for what he believes. I remember when the US liked having those kinds of people around. Now all of that is being turned into “thought crimes.” Isn’t that from ‘1984?’

One of the tricks MAGA media is using to keep MAGA on their side is constantly repeating MAGA conditioning that EVERY person deported to a maximum security prison without trial on those illegal flights to El Salvador was a very bad guy. If, instead, you get your information from any centrist or credible source, you know that’s not true. A prominent case in point in this moment is the case of Kilmar Abrego García. It looks, to me, like the regime is heading to a final showdown with the courts over his illegal deportation.

The short version is, there was no legal basis to deport Abrego García. A Federal judge has ordered his return. The regime has failed to comply. At first, they said they couldn’t get Abrego García back. Since the US is paying El Salvador millions of dollars to take and keep the never-charged prisoners, it seems likely they could get the guy back if they wanted to. Worse, if these clowns are deporting people, without charge or trial, to foreign countries to be held in prison and have no method in place to retrieve any one of them for any reason, they’re insanely irresponsible and absolutely out of control.

Oh, and, quick question, why isn’t DOGE looking at THAT waste of American tax dollars? Not the deportations, per se. Those are going to cost some money. But paying foreign prisons millions of dollars to hold these non-criminal prisoners is ADDING cost needlessly. It’s the epitome of fraud, waste, and abuse. Claiming these people were all violent criminals is the fraud. Paying to put them in foreign prisons instead of just dropping them off at some airport in a different country is the waste. Throwing people in prison without charges or trial is very definitely abuse.

So, the judge in the case, US district judge Paula Xinis, ordered the anti-constitutional regime to report his status and any steps that may have been taken, so far, to comply with the court’s order to bring him back. A guy named Michael G Kozak, who identified himself in a “response” filing as a “Senior Bureau Official” in the state department’s Bureau of Western Hemisphere Affairs, confirmed to the court that Abrego García in still in the infamous prison, alive and “secure,” not necessarily “well.”

The filing Kozak made said, “It is my understanding based on official reporting from our Embassy in San Salvador that Abrego García is currently being held in the Terrorism Confinement Center in El Salvador. He is alive and secure in that facility. He is detained pursuant to the sovereign, domestic authority of El Salvador.“

I added the emphasis on that last line because it’s an outright lie. In reality, he is detained pursuant to a paid request of the Bizarro United States of America. It’s important to understand, Abrego García has no criminal record, either here nor in El Salvador. He fled El Salvador as a teenager because the gangs down there threatened to kill him if he didn’t join. How horrifically ironic is it that the regime used “gang member” as their excuse to deport him?

But more importantly, that last line, “He is detained pursuant to the sovereign, domestic authority of El Salvador,” is the basis the regime plans to use to refuse to bring him home. That’s my prediction. The argument they seem to be teeing up is that he’s a citizen of El Salvador being held according to the authority of El Salvador, so how could the US ever expect to bring him home? I mean, it would interfere with the sovereign rights of a foreign nation and everyone KNOWS the US never, ever interferes with the sovereign rights of foreign nations, right?

Even the corrupt Supremely Kangaroo Court has upheld the judge’s order to facilitate the man’s return to the country. Right now, the regime is saying, “We can’t” but I suspect that, soon and very soon, their answer will change to a far simpler, “No.”

I’ll tell you this: that will be the day the US court system essentially collapses. That will be the day the criminal regime presses the fact that the courts in the United States have no enforcement authority without the cooperation of the Administrative branch. The regime’s “No” will actually be, “No. What are you going to do about it?”
