Vote Like Your Life Depends On It…

Okay, look. Don’t pay any attention to the talking heads and the way they’re jabbering on about the Democrats expected success. Dems need to vote. Dems need to vote on paper. Dems need to hand-carry their paper ballots to an official drop-off point. The registrar’s office is even better. It’s simple: if you like nearly $9 dollar a gallon diesel – and all of it’s commensurate associated costs – vote for the GOP. If you don’t like nearly $9 dollar a gallon diesel, don’t vote for the GOP. No, if you’re a conservative, you don’t have to vote for the Democrat. You can do your part to help bring down those prices by simply not voting at all.

I know, Donny promised everything is going to be rainbows and unicorns just the very day after the mid-terms, right? Just like the ‘fix everything on Day One’ promise. Remember how easy he said that was going to be? Then he confessed he doesn’t have a clue how to do that. But he was in office by then, so he also confessed – he doesn’t much care. He didn’t start pretending to care again until the polls looked bad against him, and he’ll go right back to not caring about your problems the day after the election regardless of the results.

But actions always speak louder than words. If he could have fixed these problems, he would have done so by now, avoiding the outcry from the American people and avoiding the potential problems at the polls the GOP faces in this upcoming election. I know MAGA thinks he has kept some of his promises, but there’s no evidence to support that. He’s a liar and thief, a failure and a loser. No one has to take my word for it. The evidence is legion and it’s everywhere.

MS NOW had a story about how the GOP had withdrawn all of it’s money from North Carolina and moved it to Kansas. A talker on the network suggested that means the GOP has surrendered hope in North Carolina and moved money to shore up Kansas. I don’t think that’s all that’s in play here. Just before that happened, some texts were released between the candidate from North Carolina, Thom Tillis, talking tough to trump.

If you think it’s a coincidence that the money got pulled shortly after texts were revealed of Tillis telling trump that he (Tillis) would not accept trump’s “bullsh*t,” and that if trump had threatened to primary Tillis, Tillis would have told trump to go “f*ck himself,” you’ve never heard of Donald Trump. There has never been a more petulant, thin-skinned, man-baby that trump. It might have been one thing if the texts had stayed between them, but they didn’t. Now? No more GOP support for Tillis.

But that’s not the GOP signaling surrender as reported on MS NOW. That’s a pissing match between Tillis and the Drumpfster. Don’t make the mistake. NONE of this reporting takes into account the cheating every American expects. We have to hit them with a wall of votes to even stand a chance and all of this Blue Wave talk works against the goal. People get complacent, and the United States of America can’t afford complacency in this election. Vote like your life depends on it. It very well might…

Team Evil has decided they’re going to force families into these so-called trump accounts. Not enough people signed up for the accounts according to them. They want LOTS of people in them for reasons of their own, which are mysterious and unknown – unless you hear what they say.

Back on July 25, Scott Bessent said the program “is a back-door to privatizing Social Security.” He said it at a forum hosted by Breitbart Not-News so he knew he was among friends and could speak freely. But it’s not much of a back-door if nobody uses the things, now, is it? People didn’t volunteer, so the government is “volunteering” them. Can people can refuse the accounts? I doubt anybody gets anything from trump that doesn’t come with a heavy cost…

Have you ever heard of the jerks in bars (or where ever) who try to impress a woman only to be shot down and then react with fury? She wasn’t rude or mean. She just said, “No, thank you,” and he starts calling her names and harassing her? I think it’s the main reason so many single women wear wedding or engagement rings when they go out. They can point to their imaginary boyfriend and feign unavailability instead of indifference. It’s a ploy to avoid the hassle. On his part, it’s a serious overreaction to sour grapes.

Kaitlan Collins is a pretty woman and she’s absolutely, positively not interested in anything trump whatsoever. He doesn’t impress her. She doesn’t want him. Worse, she’s smarter than him by a country mile. She challenges him. She questions him. I think that’s the reason he doesn’t like her. If he tries to grab her by anything at all, she’ll beat him up and he knows it. Every time he abuses her, I see a whiny little baby throwing a tantrum over something he wants badly and just can’t have. Donny’s just another jerk in the club…

He was talking to a group of Hispanics during Hispanic Heritage Month, which runs from September 15 to October 15. He said he was going to let them go out onto the floor of the ballroom. Ooh, ah. But then he said, “Don’t fall over the edge, because it’s a long way down.” Then, for reasons only his addled brain might understand, he added, “And only a Hispanic could survive that fall.”

I don’t know if he was trying to fluff them or if he actually thinks Hispanic people have some increased ability to survive falls from great heights. We DO know he’s wildly racist and we ALSO know he’s a blithering moron so it was probably just some combination of those two things. As Bugs used to say, “What a maroon…”

Jed York is the owner of the San Francisco 49ers. He got caught in a ‘sting’ (once known as ‘entrapment’) in which cops posted an online ad as a prostitute and York answered the ad using his phone. The cops advertising the criminal activity was, apparently, not a crime, but York responding to the ad was. He got arrested. He was sentenced to one day in jail and given credit for time served. He was also fined $1,150 dollars by the court. Oh, AND they kept the $160 dollars he was going to give the woman.

But that was just the legal system. Now the NFL has involved themselves. The NFL suspended York for six games and fined him $500,000! He hasn’t gone to any games, yet, so he’s been credited with three games served on his suspension. York has opted for ‘go along to get along’ but it seems wrong, to me, that the NFL can come in and impose such a harsh penalty when the legal system only slapped York’s wrist…

Brad Only Wants To Play…

Sometimes, they just reveal themselves. One of the biggest and meanest changes coming at you from the GOP’s ‘Big Beautiful Bill’ is a work requirement. In Arkansas, the state made a commercial that featured a welfare recipient named ‘Brad’ who just wants to play video games. The problem? Brad is white. WHAT?!? A white guy?!? On welfare?!? Are you insane?!?

Arkansas Governor Sarah Huckabee Sanders took a huge load of guff from people – ALL of whom know that no white people ever use welfare or SNAP benefits. They all just know it. I mean, come on, Ronald Reagan made clear the case for the welfare queen and she was most definitely black – and a woman. In the MAGA “mind,” they know that all welfare recipients are black women. A white kid simply doesn’t fit into their delusions.

As it happens, the only thing those MAGAs know is racism. It turns out, the largest group receiving SNAP benefits are white. More white people receive Medicaid than any other group, too. 61% compared to the next group, Hispanic, at 28%. In short, using a white guy to depict a welfare recipient was just accurate – but MAGA effing hates that. Don’t sweat it. They hate everything.

So, here’s a question: if the government is going to require people work at least 80 hours a month, doesn’t the government have an obligation to ensure there are jobs for people TO work?

Don’t let the socialist corporations, the socialist rich people, and the socialist-for-them government convince you socialism is bad. They use it all the time. ALL. THE. TIME! They think socialism is bad for the working class, sure. It’s best to step on the working class neck and squeeze out every dollar under our vicious free-market capitalist system. But they rely on socialism all day, every day because it’s a better way for them. I just don’t see why it’s not a better way for us all…

The war will take place in Congress and the House will be the battleground, right? Once the election is finished, we already know the GOP will start screaming and yelling about how unfair the process was. True, they’ll only call it unfair where they lose. Still, the screaming will be loud. Then the question comes down to one thing: will the cons seat the Dems that win?

It turns out, you don’t get to go be a Congressperson just because you won your election. You have to be sworn in first. If they don’t swear you in, you don’t get in. They can use all kinds of chicanery and lies to challenge an elected official and you just KNOW these cheatin’ mofos are going to do exactly that. And it sets up a huge, ugly fight in the House. We, the people, may well win the election but lose the process to a coup.

Don’t despair yet. There’s still one way the Dems can claim what is rightfully theirs. As it happens, on January 3rd, when the elections are certified, because of a peculiarity of the law and the facts on the ground, for a short, wonderful while the Dems will control the Senate, regardless of the outcome of the elections.

You see, in both chambers, when a term ends, it’s over. You’re out. There’s no special process one has to go through. You’re just out. That’s happening to every House Representative in this election but it’s NOT happening to every sitting Senator. If your term isn’t over, it carries on, also with no special process of any kind. Because of that, the seated Dems will outnumber the seated traitors 34-31. I’ve included independents Bernie Sanders and Angus King with the Dems, there.

This means that if the cons in the House try to refuse Dems, the Dems in the Senate can also refuse cons. The GOP would retain control of the House, but the Dems could retain control of the Senate. The whole thing could come down to a standoff between the two parties. That’s the good news. The bad news? Well, the Dems would have to show some spine. This would be an ugly fight. Dems are infamous for standing down unilaterally, losing (or surrendering) each time.

If they do that THIS time, the nation is lost. It really is that simple. The Dems need to fight the same way the GOP does and they tend to not do that. With 33 days to go before the election, the Dems had better develop a spine and get ready to seat new members only AFTER the House has seated theirs. But that ‘Dems had better develop a spine’ bit has me a bit nervous…

Well, I guess such a political show should have been expected. Cons are in trouble in Congress so they’ve opened an “investigation” into Jack Smith. They really don’t like that Smith was prosecuting the Dumbass for all of his crimes and some of the investigation implicated some of them. The best bit, though, was when GOP idiot Eric Schmitt of Missouri tried to prove that Smith had gone to Georgia to consult with Fani Willis the day before she confessed she had been in a relationship with another person close to the case.

His evidence? Texts that seemed to indicate Smith had attended a basketball game. Schmitt flashed a poster board from the dais that showed the text messages while he issued the “gotcha.” “What would you say if I had a series of text messages from your team that said you were in Atlanta at a Warrior-Hawks game on Feb. 3, 2024, the day after Willis and Wade announced their affair?”

“I don’t think you know that we have this stuff so I’ll give you a second to process it so you don’t, you know, perjure yourself.” Ooh, gotcha. Then Schmitt allowed, “I think you’ve already perjured yourself.” Then Schmitt tried to move on quickly. Curious. His parting shot to Smith? “You will go down as a total dirtbag.” Except, oh rats. It wasn’t the Hawks/Warriors game. It was a Maryland/Iowa college game.

The University of Iowa team is the Hawkeyes. Senator Klobachar pointed out the error. Schmitt immediately knew he had made a fool of himself and got all resentful and defensive but his fraudulent attack on Smith had been smacked down. I’ll give him this: Schmitt is loyal. He’s an idiot, but he’s loyal. (In reality, the two go hand-in-glove these days…)
